  • In recent years, studies in BCI game with popular BCI devices are progressing actively by the development of BCI(Brain Computer Interface) techniques. Most of BCI games have developed as experimental contents for researching. On the game control paradigm, it is insufficient to conduct a study about induced methods of proper barinwave to control the BCI game. In this study, we suggest a rhythm game using BCI which has a new play element that visualizes the rhythm of music and represents the notes of music in sound and a generation method of visual-auditory feedback through the synchronization of the tempo of music with brainwave. Experimental Results make certain that our suggestion is possible for the improvement of game score through the induction of brainwave that is necessary to control the game.

  • As many changes in the future society represented by the age of artificial intelligence(AI) are expected to come, efforts are being made to draw the shape of the future education and various research methods are being employed to support the attempts. While many research studies use methods for deriving generalized results such as expert survey and trend analysis in along with a review of literature, there are attempts to apply the scenario methodology to explore ideas and information needed within a changing context. A scenario method, one of the experiential learning strategies, aims to seek various and alternative approaches by establishing a plan from the present conditions considering future changes. In this study, in-service teachers' perceptions and expectations of the interactivity between human and AI teachers were visualized by applying the role-play presentation technique that grafted the concept of role-play game to the scenario method. In addition, the mandal-art method was introduced to support in conducting productive discussion during the teachers' collaboration. This method appeared to help to depict teachers' perceptions of AI teachers in the detailed and concrete form, which may flow in the abstract otherwise. Through analyses of the teachers' role-play presentations with the implementation of the madal-art method it was suggested that most teachers would want to collaborate with an AI teacher for improved instruction and individualized student learning while they would take the instructional authority over the AI teacher in the classroom.

However, it is considered that forced shut-down, selective shut-down, and other regulations have no effect, and theoretical debates about the necessity of regulations also continue. Therefore, this study theoretically re-examines the necessity of youth game regulations by the discussion on domestic and international policy trends and existing research. In order to confirm empirical evidence of the effectiveness of regulations, this study compares and analyses the change of youth's game play time and patterns before and after the regulations. According to the results, the effect of the regulations is inadequate so this study proposes reasonable improvement ways of them through convergent approach including legal, political, and technological perspective.

Mobile games, like any other types of computer game, offer a unique value for users in providing an exciting digital experience in virtual worlds. Players can become empowered through the development of new characters and strategies within games to achieve rewarding successes against the computers and other players. The overall trend for mobile games is towards bigger, more colorful, more involving and exciting contents, which will build upon the developing capabilities of mobile phones and networks in order to bring new styles, concepts and experiences of game play to the users. In this paper, we attempt to investigate the demographic factors which play critical roles in determining the level of playing times; classify mobile gamers based on their motives for playing games; and empirically test differences in their demographic factors and mobile game usage. Statistical results show that significant differences in playing times exist, depending upon their age, gender, mobile device, mobile phone usage, mobile game experiences, and preferred games genres. Applying Factor analysis, we have identified Escape, Social interaction, Challenge and Competition, Fantasy, Diversion and Relaxation, Ease of Accessibility as key motivators for playing mobile games. Additional cluster analysis shows that the categorization of gamers, according to their usage habits and the key motivators for playing, can be made as follows: M-gamers, Multi-gamers and Communication-focused gamers. Further correlation of these grouping with socio-economic data shows the significant differences in gaming habits and patterns of mobile phone use.
