Design and Implementation of Multichannel Visualization Module on PC Cluster for Virtual Manufacturing (가상 공장 시뮬레이션을 위한 PC 클러스터 기반의 멀티채널 가시화 모듈의 설계와 구현)

  • Immersive virtual reality (VR) for the manufacturing planning helps to shorten the planning times as well as to improve the quality of planning results. However, VR equipment is expensive, both in terms of development efforts and device. Engineers also spend time to manually repair erroneous 3-D shape because of imperfect translation between 3-D engineering CAD model and VR system format. In this paper a method is proposed to link 3-D engineering CAD model to a multichannel visualization system with PC clusters. The multichannel visualization module enables distributed computing for PC clusters, which can reduce the cost of VR experience while offering high performance. Each PC in a cluster renders a particular viewpoint of a scene. Scenes are synchronized by reading parameters from the master scene control module and passing them to client scenes.

  • This paper presents a HNN(Hopfield Neural Network) model to solve the ORP(Optimal Routing Problem) in DSP(Distribution System Planning). This problem is generally formulated as a combinatorial optimization problem with various equality and inequality constraints. Precedent study[3] considered only fixed cert, but in this paper, we proposed the capability of optimization by fixed cost and variable cost. And suggested the corrected formulation of energy function for improving the characteristics of convergence. The proposed algorithm has been evaluated through the sample distribution planning problem and the simmulation results are presented.

  • 치열한 경쟁 환경이 도래하면서, 수리 계획에 기반5한 Supply Chain Planning(SCP)의 중요성을 인지하고 시스템 구축을 시도하였다. 하지만, SCP 문제 특성 상 계획 수립뿐만 아니라, 환경 사항에 대한 대응에 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 수리 계획 시스템 구축의 어려움을 해결하기 위해 모델 관리 시스템 개념을 도입한 프로토타입 시스템을 설계 및 구현하여 기존의 시스템에 유연성을 부여하고사 한다. 본 연구의 시스템은, 수리 모델 객체를 생성하는 모델 관리 시스템, 데이터원천, 최적화 엔진으로 구성된다. 수리 모델 객체의 저장 방안으로 객체 지향 개념을 적용하여 모델 베이스 스키마를 설계하였다.

  • During last ten years, logistics network management has become one of the most important sources of competitive advantage regarding logistics cost and customer service in numerous business segments. The key to success in this dynamic and severe business environment is the ability to design and plan the logistics network optimally in an integrated way. Network design and planning involves many issues relating to strategic, tactical, and operational decisions. To assist a logistics designer or planner, many computer-based decision support systems (DSS) have been developed. In this paper, the issues related to design, development, and implementation of the DSS for logistics network design and planning are discussed, and an ideal framework of the DSS is proposed with some ideas on the future development. Finally, DLNET, the DSS developed by author, is briefly introduced.

  • This paper presents how to create a 3D map and solve problems related to generating a global path planning for navigation. Map creation and localization were performed using the RTAB-Map package to create a 3D map of the environment. In addition, when the target point is within the obstacle space, the problem of not generating a global path was solved using the asr_navfn package. The performance of the proposed system is validated through experiments with a wheelchair-type robot.

  • This paper presents the design and implementation of a Mission Planning System(MPS) for multiple ballistic missiles. MPSs are also a kind of M&S systems in defense domain, and these provide important computations on the ground before flights of flying objects. The proposed MPS in this paper has a new concept which is far from generating a set of waypoints of a flying object and proving the set. In this paper, we firstly discuss the research motivation of our own MPS; then, we introduce the design of our MPS and its functionalities. In order to prove the practicality of our MPS, we have conducted a case study.

  • The purpose of this study is to improve institution of EIA(Environmenta1 Impact Assessment) in Korea. For this study, institution of EIA in Korea and other countries and copies of EIS prepared in Korea were analyzed. As a result, improvements of EIA should require introducing EIA in projects and planning level, building environmental information system, estimating appropriate costs of EIS preparation.
