  • 직사각형 초음속 노즐의 3차원 역유동 추력벡터 제어 시스템에 대한 공기역학적 특성을 조사하기 위하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 이 초음속 노즐은 특성곡선법에 의하여 설계되었으며, 그 설계 마하수는 2.5이다. 2차 유동 덕트의 갭 높이를 변수로 하여 역유동 추력벡터 제어 시스템의 성능을 조사하였다. 상부 흡입 칼라의 중심선을 따르는 정압 분포, 편향각, 2차 질량유량비 및 합성 추력계수와 같은 주요 매개변수가 정량적으로 분석되었다. 또한 전체 유동장의 특성을 알아보기 위하여 대칭 평면에서의 유선, 3차원 등마하수분포 및 3차원 난류에너지분포를 조사하였다.

반사 손실 합성법을 이용한 GSM900/DCS1800/PCS1900 내장형 안테나 설계 (Internal Antenna Design for GSM900/DCS1800/PCS1900 Using an Overlap of Return Loss)

  • 본 논문은 GSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900 대역을 동시에 만족시킬 수 있는 삼중 대역 안테나 설계에 관한 연구이다. 제안된 구조는 소형화와 견고성을 위해 유전체 위에 2개의 금속 가지를 접어서 만든 형태이다. 금속 가지의 길이를 조정하여 반사 손실을 합성시켜서 광대역을 구현하였다. 안테나의 반사 손실은 모의 실험을 통해 구하였으며, 이를 측정값과 비교하였다. 모의 실험은 상용 툴인 Ansoft사의 HFSS 9를 사용하였고, 수치 비교 결과, 원하는 주파수 대역에서 -10 [dB] 이하의 반사 손실을 얻었다. 또한, 안테나의 이득과 복사 패턴을 원거리장 측정 시스템을 사용하여 전파 무반사실에서 측정하였다. 측정 결과 최대 이득은 3.0 [dBi], 평균 이득은 -1.0 [dBi] 이상의 양호한 특성을 보였으며, 대역 내 2개의 주파수의 복사 패턴은 서로 유사하였다.

Compact 1×2 and 2×2 Dual Polarized Series-Fed Antenna Array for X-Band Airborne Synthetic Aperture Radar Applications

  • In this paper, compact linear dual polarized series-fed $1{\times}2$ linear and $2{\times}2$ planar arrays antennas for airborne SAR applications are proposed. The proposed antenna design consists of a square radiating patch that is placed on top of the substrate, a quarter wave transformer and $50-{\Omega}$ matched transformer. Matching between a radiating patch and the $50-{\Omega}$ microstrip line is accomplished through a direct coupled-feed technique with the help of an impedance inverter (${\lambda}/4$ impedance transformer) placed at both horizontal and vertical planes, in the case of the $2{\times}2$ planar array. The overall size for the prototype-1 and prototype-2 fabricated antennas are $1.9305{\times}0.9652{\times}0.05106{{\lambda}_0}^3$ and $1.9305{\times}1.9305{\times}0.05106{{\lambda}_0}^3$, respectively. The fabricated structure has been tested, and the experimental results are similar to the simulated ones. The CST MWS simulated and vector network analyzer measured reflection coefficient ($S_{11}$) results were compared, and they indicate that the proposed antenna prototype-1 yields the impedance bandwidth >140 MHz (9.56-9.72 GHz) defined by $S_{11}$<-10 dB with 1.43%, and $S_{21}$<-25 dB in the case of prototype-2 (9.58-9.74 GHz, $S_{11}$< -10 dB) >140 MHz for all the individual ports. The surface currents and the E- and H-field distributions were studied for a better understanding of the polarization mechanism. The measured results of the proposed dual polarized antenna were in accordance with the simulated analysis and showed good performance of the S-parameters and radiation patterns (co-pol and cross-pol), gain, efficiency, front-to-back ratio, half-power beam width) at the resonant frequency. With these features and its compact size, the proposed antenna will be suitable for X-band airborne synthetic aperture radar applications.

Effects of Lanthanides-Substitution on the Ferroelectric Properties of Bismuth Titanate Thin Films Prepared by MOCVD Process

  • Ferroelectric lanthanides-substituted $Bi_4Ti_3O_{12}$ $(Bi_{4-x}Ln_xTi_3O_{12}, BLnT)$ thin films approximately 200 nm in thickness were deposited by metal organic chemical vapor deposition onto Pt(111)/Ti/SiO$_2$/Si(100) substrates. Many researchers reported that the lanthanides substitution for Bi in the pseudo-perovskite layer caused the distortion of TiO$_6$ octahedron in the a-b plane accompanied with a shift of the octahedron along the a-axis. In this study, the effect of lanthanides (Ln=Pr, Eu, Gd, Dy)-substitution and crystallization temperature on their ferroelectric properties of bismuth titanate $(Bi_4Ti_3O_{12}, BIT)$ thin films were investigated. As BLnT thin films were substituted to lanthanide elements (Pr, Eu, Gd, Dy) with a smaller ionic radius, the remnant polarization (2P$_r$) values had a tendency to increase and made an exception of the Eu-substituted case because $Bi_{4-x}Eu_xTi_3O_{12}$ (BET) thin films had the smaller grain sizes than the others. In this study, we confirmed that better ferroelectric properties can be expected for films composed of larger grains in bismuth layered peroskite materials. The crystallinity of the thin films was improved and the average grain size increased as the crystallization temperature,increased from 600 to 720$^{\circ}C$. Moreover, the BLnT thin film capacitor is characterized by well-saturated polarization-electric field (P-E) curves with an increase in annealing temperature. The BLnT thin films exhibited no significant degradation of switching charge for at least up to $1.0\times10^{11}$ switching cycles at a frequency of 1 MHz. From these results, we can suggest that the BLnT thin films are the suitable dielectric materials for ferroelectric random access memory applications.

한국 남동부 청주시 불국사단층선 북부의 활단층지형 (The Active Fault Topography of the Northern Partof the Bulguksa Fault System in Kyungju City, Southeastern Korea)

  • The geomorphic deformation of the alluvial fans by tectonic movement was investigated along the lineaments of the northern part of the Bulguksa fault system. Based on the aerial photographs interpretation and field surveys Bulguksa fault system was identified as an active reverse fault which has displaced the Quaternary fan deposits. Bulguksa fault system strikes for the direction of NW-SE and N-S. These two lineaments of active fault are crossing at Jinty village in Kyungju city and the fault plane forms here almost vertical dip. Thelateral pressures from the two directions have possibly influenced on the formation of the vertical dip at Jinty village. It should be resulted from that the two pressures responsible for the active reverse fault at which the one with the NW-SE strike thrusts the hanging wall of Tohamsan block southwestward and the other pressure with the N-S jstrike thrusts it westwrd over the foot wall of the fan deposits. The marine oxygen isotope stage 8(0.30-0.25 Ma. BP) and stage 6(0.20-0.14 Ma. BP) are presumed to be the ages of high and middle surfaces of the alluvial fan, repectively. The vertical dispiacements on the high surface along the Bulguksa fault system are about 10.5m at Ha-dong, 9.5-10.5m at Jinhyun-dong, and about 10m at Jinty village. And the vertical displacement on the middle surface was measured about 6m high at Ha-dong. The average slip rate of vertical displacements is calculated about 0.03-0.043mm/y.

$CaF_2$ 박막의 전기적, 구조적 특성 (Eelctrical and Structural Properties of $CaF_2$Films)

  • Group II-AF_2$films such as $CaF_2$, $SrF_2$, and $BaF_2$ have been commonly used many practical applications such as silicon on insulatro(SOI), three-dimensional integrated circuits, buffer layers, and gate dielectrics in filed effect transistor. This paper presents electrical and structural properties of fluoride films as a gate dielectric layer. Conventional gate dielectric materials of TFTs like oxide group exhibited problems on high interface trap charge density($D_it$), and interface state incorporation with O-H bond created by mobile hydrogen and oxygen atoms. To overcome such problems in conventional gate insulators, we have investigated $CaF_2$ films on Si substrates. Fluoride films were deposited using a high vacuum evaporation method on the Si and glass substrate. $CaF_2$ films were preferentially grown in (200) plane direction at room temperature. We were able to achieve a minimum lattice mismatch of 0.74% between Si and $CaF_2$ films. Average roughness of $CaF_2$ films was decreased from 54.1 ${\AA}$ to 8.40 ${\AA}$ as temperature increased form RT and $300^{\circ}C$. Well fabricated MIM device showed breakdown electric field of 1.27 MV/cm and low leakage current of $10^{-10}$ A/$cm^2$. Interface trap charge density between $CaF_2$ film and Si substrate was as low as $1.8{\times}10^{11}cm^{-2}eV^{-1}$.

선형토목구조물에 대한 지질학적 측면 노선의 적정성 평가기술 (A Study on the Technique for Evaluating Geological Suitability about the Route of a Linear Civil Engineering Structure)

  • 정성적인 지질정보들의 연계 해석을 위해서는 자료들의 중요도에 따라 정량화가 선행되어야 한다. 이 연구에서는 계층분석과정을 사용하여 정성적 자료를 정량화하였다. 토목, 교통 및 지질관련 전문가 집단(30명)을 구성하여 선형토목구조물 설계에 필요한 지질 및 수리지질에 대한 조사항목을 설문하고 분석하였으며, 이에 따라 조사항목들에 대한 계층구조를 4단계로 구성하였다. 각 단계별 요소에서 선형토목구조물의 안정성에 가장 중요한 요인으로 작용하는 요소는 단층 구조이며, 그 중요도가 46%(0.456)로 나타났다. 단층구조 다음으로는 엽리/층리(0.165), 선구조선(0.144), 지하수(0.124), 암상(0.111) 등의 순으로 중요도를 갖는다.

표면영상유속계(SIV)를 이용한 현장유량측정 (Field Measurement of Water Discharge by using Surface Image Velocimetry)

  • 표면영상유속계(SIV)는 기존의 입자영상유속계(PIV)의 원리를 이용하여 하천의 표면유속을 측정하는 방법이다. 본 연구에서는 경제적이고 효율적인 유속측정 기법인 SIV 기법을 이용하여 국내 3개 하천에 대하여 현장 유량측정에 적용하였다. 현장 영상분석은 다중카메라 방식을 이용하였고 영상분석과정에 필요한 참조점과 횡단면 자료는 측량을 통하여 획득하였다. SIV로 측정된 유속을 검증하는 수로 실험의 결과, 평균오차 10% 이내의 정확도를 보여 정확한 유속측정이 가능함을 확인하였다. 그러나, 실제 하천에의 적용에서는 저수위시와 악천후시에 대해서는 20 % 이내의 오차를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 향후 SIV 기법의 문제점들을 해결한다면 언제 어디서나 효율적이고 경제적인 유량측정을 할 수 있을 것이다. 그리고 이를 활용하여 실시간 하천정보시스템으로 발전시킴으로써 하천 관리에 큰 도움이 될 것이라 판단된다.

2차원 비정렬 중첩격자계를 이용한 서로 겹쳐진 물체간의 상대운동 해석기법 개발 (Development of an Unstructured 2-D Chimera Technique for Overlapped Bodies in Relative Motion)

  • 본 연구에서는 2차원 비정렬 중첩격자계를 이용한 서로 겹쳐진 물체간의 상대운동 해석기법을 개발하였다. 물체들이 교차되는 교차점에서 가장 가까운 거리에 있는 각 격자계의 물체 경계면에 위치한 격자점들을 교차점으로 이동시키고, 이 교차점을 기준으로 계산영역에 포함되는 격자와 계산에서 제외되는 격자가 구분되도록 하였다. 비정상 유동의 계산을 위해 계산에서 제외되는 비활성 격자점에 적절한 유동값을 부여하여, 상대운동이 진행됨에 따라 새롭게 활성 격자점으로 분류될 때 이전 시간에서의 유동값으로 이용될 수 있도록 하였다. 해석기법의 검증을 위해 단순플랩의 진동에 따른 에어포일 주위의 유동을 해석하여 타 연구자의 해석결과와 비교하였고, NACA0012 에어포일의 내부에서 사출되는 발사체의 운동에 대하여 해석을 수행하였다.

이종방전 중첩에 의한 방전 플라스마반응기의 효율개선의 시도 - 연면.직류코로나 방전 중첩형 반응기의 특성 - (A Trial for Improvement of Energy Efficiency of Plasma Reactor by Superposing Two Heterogeneous Discharges - Characteristics of Surface and Corona Discharge Combined Plasma Reactor -)

  • In order to cope with environmental problems caused by harmful gases emitted from various industrial sources, a new technology which employs discharge plasma formed in ordinary atmospheric pressure has been intensively investigated in many industrialized nations. Although a plenty of useful outcomes and suggestions have been made public by scientists in this field, few commercial products which effectively decompose pollutant gases have appeared as yet. This is partly because that the energy efficiency of a most effective plasma reactor has not reached a satisfactory level in comparison with those of devices using conventional technologies. In an attempt to solve the problem mentioned above, we noticed to combine heterogeneous electrical discharges. This concepts is based on that each plasma reactor has its specific spatial region in which chemical reaction are active and by electrically affected with another reactor of different type, the activated region would increase - which may lead to cutting down the energy consumption. To prove this concept experimentally, two different discharge equipments, a plane ceramic-based surface discharge electrode and a corona electrode with tungsten needle may, are selected and combined to fabricate a hybrid plasma reactor. The results are summarized as follows; (1) Ozone concentration generated in the plasma region drastically increases when the positive corona discharge is added to the surface discharge. The rate of increase of ozone depends on the frequency of the surface discharge. The negative corona, however, does not contribute to the improvement of the ozone generation. (2) NO(nitrogen monoxide) decomposition rate also improves by simultaneously applying the surface and the positive corona discharges. The effect of the corona superposition is more evident when the level of the surface discharge is moderate. (3) By adjusting the corona level, the net energy efficiency during NO decomposition improves in comparison with the simple surface discharge reactor.
