  • In this study, The underwater object recognition using ultrasonic sensor fabricated with porous PZT-Polymer 3-3 type composites and invariant moment vector and SOFM(Self Organizing Feature Map) neural networks are presented. The recognition rates for the training data and the testing data were 98% and 94%, respectively.

  • In this study, 3-D underwater object restoration using ultrasonic transducer fabricated with PZT-Polymer 1-3 type composite are presented. Using the acquired underwater object data 16${\times}$16 pixels. Modified SCL neural networks using the 16${\times}$16 low resolution image was used for underwater object restoration of 32${\times}$32 high resolution Image.

  • Polymer-coated piezoelectric crystals were applied to analyze response characteristic of organic gases. AT-cut quartz crystal with 9 MHz resonant frequency can measure mass of 1 nanogram. Flow type gas-sensing system was used in this experiment. Flow type gas-sensing system has very simple apparatus and shows very fast frequency response for injection of organic gas. We have made parameter using relaxation ratio of frequency response for organic gas. Consequently, we found that the parameter had no relation with quantity of gas injection and dipping.

  • To realize the flexible audible display (FAD), polymer dispersed liquid crystal(PDLC) is deposited on PVDF(Poly-vinylidene fluoride) film with piezoelectric property. With applied audio signal, it makes sound more than 70 dB in 700 Hz-10kHz. In case of transparency it is opaque and transmittance is less than 10% at 550nm wavelength without bias voltage. It is turned to be transparent and show transmittance of 66% with driving voltage of 60V.

  • Ink-jetting characteristics of pulse width and pulse amplitude for a piezoelectric ink jet printer driver have been mapped with various polymer EL ink. In this study, the jetting characteristics have been classified into 4 regime; no Jetting, unstable jetting, stable jetting, and spraying, and the importance of fluid viscosity on the scope of the stable jetting regime has been emphasized. The relation between jetting speed and the width and amplitude of driving signal has also been investigated and the effect of the speed on the jetting characteristics has been discussed.

  • In this study, the piezoelectric ceramics PZT powder was synthesized by Wet-Dry combination method. The flexible 1-3-0 type composites were fabricated with piezoceramic PZT and Eccogel polymer matrix embedded 3rd phase. This paper represents the acoustic properties with various 3rd phase wt.%. The acoustic impedance of 1-3-0 type composites was lower than that of single phase PZT ceramics. The pulse-echo response of transducer fabricated with 1-3-0 type composites was better than solid PZT transducer.

  • In this study, the piezoelectric ceramics PZT powder was synthesized by the Wet-Dry combination method. Flexible 1-3 type composite specimens were fabricated with the piezoceramics PZT filler phase and Eccogel polymer matrix phase. This paper represents the pulse-echo response of the 1-3 type composite transducer to check it out to investigate a basic property regarding a level limit switch. The acoustic impedance of 1-3 type composite was improved than that of single phase PZT ceramics. The pulse-echo response of transducer fabricated with the self-made 1-3 type composites resonator was better than that of the solid PZT transducer.

  • 이 리뷰 논문은 복합재에 함유되어 충격파를 감쇠하는 물질에 대한 탐구를 통해 폭발로 인한 외상성 뇌손상(bTBI)에 대비하여 인적자원을 보호하는 방법을 살펴보고자 한다. 이에 더하여 복합재의 충격파 감소의 정량화를 위한 충격파의 생성과 측정에 관련된 실험적인 방법들을 알아보고자 한다. 충격파는 고에너지 폭발물, 충격관, 레이저 및 레이저-플라이어 기술과 같은 다양한 접근법을 통해 생성이 가능하다. 충격파 전파 및 감쇠의 평가는 압전, 간섭계, 전자기 유도 및 스트릭 카메라 방법을 비롯한 첨단 기술을 활용하여 진행된다. 또한 충격파 압력감쇠 특성이 알려진 폴리우레아, 이온액체를 포함한 상분리 물질을 조사하였고 복합재 구조의 구성을 통해서 충격파를 감소시킬 수 있는 방법을 제시한다. 본 리뷰에서는 충격파 감쇠 물질 개발에 관한 연구를 종합하고 분석함으로써 폭발로 인한 외상성 뇌 손상에 대한 위험을 낮출 수 있는 재료적인 관점을 제시하고자 한다.

  • Micromechanical 시험법과 음향방출을 이용하여 단일 basalt 섬유 강화 에폭시 복합재료의 비파괴 손상감지능을 평가하였다. 음향방출 센서로는 PZT 및 고분자 PVDF와 P(VDF-TrFE)를 사용하였고 단섬유 강화 시험법에서 각 센서 종류에 따른 손상감지능을 상호 비교하였다. 고분자 센서는 시편 표면에 부착시키거나 내부에 함침시켜 사용하였지만 PZT 센서는 표면에 부착하여 사용하였다. 고분자 센서를 시편 표면에 부착시킨 경우와 함침시킨 경우 감지능은 비슷하였지만 부착의 경우 debonding 신호가 많아 함침 시키는 방법이 손상감지에 더 효과적이었다. 손상 감지능은 PZT센서가 가장 높았고, 함침 및 부착 모두에서 PVDF와 P(VDF-TrFE) 센서의 손상감지능은 거의 비슷하였다.
