Arago's disk system consists of a speed controller of the DC motor (inner loop controller) and a position controller of the magnetic bar angle (main controller), which are implemented by the design of the PI and PID controller, respectively. First, we analyzed the nonlinear characteristics of the Arago disk system and found the operating point range of three locations as a result. In this paper, a gain scheduler method was applied to guarantee a constant control performance in the range of $0{\sim}130^{\circ}C$, and a structure to change the controller according to the control reference value based on the previously obtained operating points was experimentally implemented. The Distributed Control Systems (DCS) configuration using the Controller Area Network (CAN) was used to verify the proposed method by improving the operational efficiency of the entire experimental system. So, simplicity of the circuit and easy diagnosis were achieved through a single CAN bus communication.
BLDC motor is widely used in automation areas for its good maintenance and controllability. In this paper it is designed for a speed control servo system of sinusoidal typo BLDC motor that can be easily adapted to automation systems with lower cost. Also, control parameters & periods are made adjustable according to the sensors of the motor, electric and mechanical time constant, and PI and PD control are used. The processor for the proposed system is a low cost 16bit One-Chip microprocessor. By experimental results from application to the industrial sewing machine, one of the application of BLDC motor, it can be verified that under the given reference, the system is enough as a speed and position servo without overshoots.

We attempted to fabricate polyurethane derivatives (PU-CN, PU-DCM) LB films by using LB method. Also, we investigated the monolayer behavior at the air-water interface by surface pressure-area ($\pi$-A) isotherms. And, the surface morphologies and the physicochemical properties of LB films were investigated by atomic force microscopy (AFM) and UV-vis spectroscopy, respectively. Also, the electrical properties of polyurethane derivatives LB films were investigated by using the conductivity, the dielectric constant and activation energy. In the surface morphologies, physicochemical, electrical properties of polyurethane derivatives LB films, the properties is different as to the Polyurethane derivatives, it is considered that this phenomena could be described by the difference of lumophore pendant which was adhered at PU main chain.

Considerable attention has been focused on the applications of flexible liquid crystal (LC)-based displays because of their many potential advantages, such as portability, durability, light weight, thin packaging, flexibility, and low power consumption. To develop flexible LCDs that are capable of delivering high-quality moving images, like conventional glass-substrate LCDs, the LC device structure must have a stable alignment layer of LC molecules, concurrently support uniform cell gaps, and tightly bind two flexible substrates under external tension. However, stable LC molecular alignment has not been achieved because of the layerless LC alignment, and consequently high-quality images cannot be guaranteed. To solve these critical problems, we have proposed a PDMS pixel-wall based bonding method via the IB irradiation was developed for fasten the two substrates together strongly and maintain uniform cell gaps. The effect of the IB irradiation on PDMS with PI surface was also evaluated by side structure configuration and a result of x-ray photoelectron spectroscopic analysis of PDMS interlayer as a function of binder with substrates. large number of PDMS pixel-walls are tightly fastened to the surface of each flexible substrate and could maintain a constant cell gap between the LC molecules without using any other epoxy or polymer. To enhance the electro-optical performance of the LC device, we applied an alignment method that creates pretilt angle on the PI surface via ion beam irradiation. Using this approach, our flexible LCDs have a contrast ratio of 132:1 and a response time of about 15 ms, resulting in highly reliable electro-optical performance in the bent state, comparable to that of glass-substrate LCDs.

Recently the adaptive control system, which keeps the control system always optimal by adjusting the control parameters automatically according to the variations of the plant parameters, have become very important in the field of control engineering. The adaptive control systems are usally composed of the plant identification, the decision of the optimal control parameters, and the adjustment of the control parameters. This paper deals with a method of the adaptive control system when PI or PID controller is used in the feed back control system. Its controlled object (the plant) is assumed to be described by the transfer function of $\frac{ke^{-LS}}{1+TS}$ where k, T and L are steady state gain, time constant and pure dead time respectively, and their values are variable in accordance with the change of environmental circumstance. It has been known that a pseudo-random binary signal is quite effective for the measurement of an impulse response of a plant. In adaptive control systems, however, the impulse response itself is not appropriate to determine the control parameters. In this paper, the authors propose a method to estimate directly the parameters of the plant k, T and L by means of the correlation technique using 3 level M-sequence signal as a test signal. The authors also propose a method to determine the optimal parameters of the PI or PID controller in the sense of minimizing the square integral of the control error in the feed back control system, and the values of the optimal parameters are computed numerically for various values of T and L, and the results are examined and compared with those of the conventional methods. Finally the above-mentioned two methods are combined and an algorithm to struct an adaptive control system is suggested. The experiments for the indicial responses by means of both the model of the temperature control system using SCR actuater and the analog simulations have shown good results as expected, and the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified. The M-sequence generator and the time delay circuit, which are manufactured for the experiments, are operated in quite a good condition.

This paper proposes a quasi Z-source AC-AC converter with the low DC voltage distribution capability operating as a power electronic transformer. The proposed system has configuration that the input terminals of two quasi Z-source AC-AC converters are connected in parallel, also their output terminal are connected in series. Simple control method of duty ratio was proposed for the in phase buck-boost AC voltage mode and the DC output voltage control. DSP based experiment and PSIM simulation were performed. As a result, the PSIM simulation results were same with the measured results. By controlling the duty ratio under the condition of 100 [${\Omega}$] load, quasi Z-source AC-AC converter could buck and boost the AC output voltage in phase with the AC input voltage, and the same time, the constant DC voltage could be output without affecting the AC output characteristics. And, the DC output voltage 48[V] was constantly controlled in dynamic state in case while the load is suddenly changed ($50[\Omega]{\rightarrow}100[\Omega]$). From the above result, we could know that the quasi Z-source AC-AC converter can act as a power electronic transformer with a low DC voltage distribution capability.
Interleukin-13 (IL-13) has been proposed as a therapeutic target for bronchial asthma as it plays crucial roles in the pathogenesis of the disease. We developed an in vitro test system measuring transcriptional downregulatory activities on IL-13 as a primary screening method to select drug candidates from natural products. The promoter region of IL-13 (-2,048 to +1) was cloned into the upstream of a luciferase gene in the plasmid pGL4.14 containing the hygromycin resistance gene as a selection marker, generating pGL4.14-IL-13. The EL-4 thymoma and RBL-2H3 mast cells transiently expressing this plasmid highly produced the luciferase activities by responding to PI (PMA and ionomycin) stimulation up to 8-fold and 13-fold compared with the control, respectively, whereas cyclosporin A, a well-known antiasthmatic agent, significantly downregulated the activities. The BF1 clone of RBL-2H3 cells constitutively expressing pGL4.14-IL-13 was established by selecting surviving cells under a constant lethal dose of hygromycin treatment. The feasibility of this system was evaluated by measuring the downregulatory activities of 354 natural products on the IL-13 promoter using the BF1 clone. An extract from Morus bombycis (named TBRC 156) significantly inhibited PI-induced luciferase activities and IL-13 mRNA expression, but not the protein expression. Fisetin (named TBRC 353) inhibited not only PI-induced luciferase activities and mRNA expression, but also the IL-13 protein secretion, whereas myricetin (named TBRC 354) could not suppress the IL-13 expression at all. Our data indicated that this in vitro test system is able to discriminate the effects on IL-13 expression, and furthermore, that it might be suitable as a simple and time-saving primary screening system to select antiasthmatic agents by measuring transcriptional activities of the IL-13 promoter.

Actomyosine prepared from Yellowtail fish(seriola quinqueradiata) were stored at $0^{\circ}C$(ice-cooling) -3.5$^{\circ}C$(partial freeaing) and -2$0^{\circ}C$(freezing) Another actomyosin samples were prepared from the fish previously stored at the temperatures for a week as the maximum .Remaining activity of {{{{ {Ca }^{2+ } }}}}-and {{{{ {Mg }^{2+ } }}}}- dependent adenosine triphosphatase(ATPase) activity was measured fronm the actomyosin preparations. Specific activity of {{{{ {Mg }^{2+ } }}}}-ATPase of actomy-osin before storagew was 0.253$\mu$ mole pi/min/mg of protein and it was 1.5 times higher than that of {{{{ {Ca }^{2+ } }}}} -ATPase. The enzyme activities were markedly decreased during early period of storage. However no significant differences in the enzyme activity were revealed among the samples stored at different temperature. The enzyme of actomyosin prepared from the fish previously stored at the temperatures for a week revealed an acitivity of 2-3 times higher than that of freezing. Apparent denaturation constant of {{{{ {Mg }^{2+ } }}}} -ATPase of actomyosin was between 0.810-1.139 per day and it was about 1.5 times hgiher than that of {{{{ {Ca }^{2+ } }}}} -ATPase. But the constant of {{{{ {Mg }^{2+ } }}}} ATPase of actomyosin extracted from the fist stored for a week at each temperature was between 0.176-0.356 per day. This constant was 4 times higher than that of {{{{ {Ca }^{2+ } }}}}- ATPase in frozen stored fish. It was presumed from these results that denaturation of ATPase is largely accorded to the structural changes of actomyosin.
This paper presents to control speed of induction motors with uncertainties. We use an adaptive backstepping controller with fuzzy neural networks(FNNs) and model reference adaptive system(MRAS) at Indirect vector control method. The adaptive backstepping controller using FNNs can control speed of induction motors even we have a minimum of information. And this controller can be used to approximate most of uncertainties which are derived from unknown motor parameters, load torque such as disturbances. MRAS estimates to rotor resistance and also can find optimal flux to minimize power losses of Induction motor. Indirect vector PI current controller is used to keep rotor flux constant without measuring or estimating the rotor flux. Simulation and experiment results are verified the effectiveness of this proposed approach.
