If an appliance perceives the location or health condition of a resident in the smart home, it can provide more intelligent service actively. That is, while the conventional appliance is operated by manual input of a resident, the location-based human adaptive appliance detects the resident's information such as location, activity pattern, or health condition by itself and provides the most suitable living condition for the resident autonomously. This paper presents the real-time location-based metabolic rate estimation method that measures the amount of physical activity (metabolic rate) for location-based human adaptive air-conditioner. And, the feasibility of the algorithm is evaluated experimentally on a test bed using the pyroelectric infrared sensor-based indoor location aware system (PILAS) that is a non-terminal-based location-aware system.
The purpose of the present research was to examine whether the attention mechanism employs physical or represented location of the cue and target. To achieve this, we have employed the paradigm of facilitation of response as well as inhibition of return. In the experiments, valid and invalid conditions were defined by the position consistency of the cue and the target in the aspect of either physical or represented location. We used auditory cue and visual target in Experiment 1 while visual cue and auditory target in Experiment 2. As a results, in Experiment 1, effect of facilitation of response in valid condition was found when the valid/invalid conditions were defined in the aspect of represented location. In Experiment 2, effect of facilitation of response in valid condition was found when the valid/invalid conditions were defined in the aspect of represented location. In all the other conditions, no effect was found when the conditions were defined in the aspect of physical location. No effects of inhibition of return were found in Experiment 2. These results imply the possibility that attention mechanism operates based on objects' represented location rather than on their physical location. More importantly, the present research suggests that it is necessary to separate represented location from physical location of the target and the cue in the experiment of facilitation of response and inhibition of return in the future.
It was performed to encourage for Physical Therapist to apply the theory of center of the human body and segments in clinical situations. This study was investigated literarily on center of the human body and segments. Methods which search for the center-2 types, that is, method using reaction broad and segmental method-was suggested. The center location difference of gravity in human body depends on individual character. Generally, the center location is in kent of 2nd sacrum, that is, at $55\%$ of height from foot. The center of each segment is on 'link'. In the first place we must how the weight of segment we can search for the center easily. Mean segment coater location of extremities is at $42.33\%$ from each proximal end, and mean center of head and trunk lies at $45\%$.

The location decision problem for distribution center is one of the most important problem in business logistics system. Because the proportion of holding and transportation cost to physical distribution cost in our country exceed the 60%, a corporation must feel strong pressure to investigate the location problem for distribution center. This paper presents an algorithm for determining the best location of distribution center in consideration with physical distribution cost, demand, and customer location. The methods of determining the distribution center location is that firstly many of proposed sites are built up where demand position is distributed, and then optimal location of distribution center is selected.

The location selection of virtual machines in distributed cloud is difficult because of the physical resource distribution, allocation of multi-dimensional resources, and resource unit cost. In this study, we propose a multi-object virtual machine location selection algorithm (MOVMLSA) based on group information, doubly linked list structure and genetic algorithm. On the basis of the collaboration of multi-dimensional resources, a fitness function is designed using fuzzy logic control parameters, which can be used to optimize search space solutions. In the location selection process, an orderly information code based on group and resource information can be generated by adopting the memory mechanism of biological immune systems. This approach, along with the dominant elite strategy, enables the updating of the population. The tournament selection method is used to optimize the operator mechanisms of the single-point crossover and X-point mutation during the population selection. Such a method can be used to obtain an optimal solution for the rapid location selection of virtual machines. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is effective in reducing the number of used physical machines and in improving the resource utilization of physical machines. The algorithm improves the utilization degree of multi-dimensional resource synergy and reduces the comprehensive unit cost of resources.

The cost and customer service level of a logistics system depend primarily on the system design of the physical supply system and physical distribution system. The study presents the mathematical model and a huristic solution method of a combined location - vehicle routing problem(LVRP). In LVRP the objective is to determine the number and location of the distribution centers, the allocation of customers to distribution centers, and the vehicle delivery routes, so as to minimize the logistics total cost and satisfy the customer.

In logistics decision making, Key elements in the design of any physical distribution are the location of depots and the distribution of goods from the depots to the customers. Considering open and close the depots, This paper presents a flexible analysis on the combined location-routing problem(LRP) the case for variation capacity of vehicle and customers demands each. The scenario examples are given the use of heuristic(Saving-Drop) in LRP types. The results is useful in apply to the logistics environment changes.

The physical distribution service(PDS) is essential to evaluate the business logistics system. The PDS combines the inventory service with the lead time to deliver. This paper is presented to model Mixed Zero-One integer programming which is to determine distribution center location and to allocation products, considering delivery lead time, from given candidate locations to given customer markets. A numerical example is given to demonstrate the applicability of Mixed Zero-One integer programming for Distribution-Location problem.

PURPOSE: This study aims to examine the impact of the location of a walker-aid pocket that is attached to the walker while walking. METHODS: The research subjects included 10 male adults and 10 elderly people. The subjects used a two-wheeled walker for the walking analysis, and a firm velcro-type pocket that can be attached to the walker aid was used for weight loading. The size of the external loads was set at 2kg, which corresponds to approximately 2.5% of the mean body weight of the subjects. The pocket was attached to the left, center, and right sides of the walker aid. Stride length, stride, step width, and time were investigated according to the location change. RESULTS: No statistical differences were observed in all the walking factors among the adults and elderly people regardless of the changes in the location of the walker pocket. In cases of no weight and the 2kg walker pocket, stride length and strides were longer for the adults, while the step width was greater and walking time was longer for the elderly people. CONCLUSION: The weight of the walker pocket turn out to retard walking speed, although the location of the walker pocket is not affect walking with the walker-aid.

In this paper we develop an indoor location tracking system and its 3D tracking monitoring viewer, viz., 3D Navigation Viewer (3DNV). We focus on the integration of an indoor location tracking system with the Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML), to facilitate a representation of the user's spatial information in virtual indoor environments that is synchronized with the physical location environment. The developed indoor location tracking system employs beacons as active transmitters, and a listener as a passive receiver. The distance information calculated from the difference speeds of RF and Ultrasonic signals is exploited, to determine the user's physical location. This is essential in supporting third parties like doctors and caregivers in identifying the activities and status of a particular individual via 3DNV. 3DNV serves as a unified user interface for an indoor location tracking system, showing the viewpoint and position of the target in virtual indoor environments. It was implemented using VRML, to provide an actual real time visualization of the target's spatial information.
