Tidal bore is a peculiar nature phenomenon which is caused by the lunar and solar gravitation. Based on the physical characters of tidal bores, in this paper we propose a novel method to model and render this phenomenon, especially the tidal waves in Qiantang estuary. According to Boltzmann equation for tidal waves, we solve it with the novel triangle mesh of Kinectic Flux Vector Splitting (KFVS) mode. Then a method combining a curve forecasting wave and particles model is proposed to render the dynamic scenes of overturning tidal waves. Finally, with some rendering technologies, various realistic tidal waves under diversified conditions is rendered in real time.

This study investigated how exposure to thin-ideal images affects social physical anxiety and body-esteem in relation to individual levels of self-consciousness. A survey questionnaire was administered to a convenience sample of 119 female college students. Sixty-seven of the 119 participated in a posttest session. The mean comparisons of social physique anxiety and body-esteem scores between pretest and posttest were conducted; no significant results were found. However, when participants were divided into two separate self-consciousness groups (high vs. low), the effect of media exposure on social physique anxiety were significant.

Purpose : The purpose of this study is giving the healthy promotion and it's related data base for out-patients who had stroke via evaluating the general characters of their active daily living and physical therapy Method : This study researched 81 patients who had received physical therapy service in 6 general hospitals located Pusan city responded to the self-assessment questionnaires from July 2002 to August 2002. Conclusion : In this study, patients were composed of 61.7% of male, 65.4% of 50's-60's in the age, 56.8% of cerebral infarction, and 60.5% of right hemiplegia. 74.1% of patients received physical therapy after 6 months from an attack, only 62.9% used orthosis & gait aids, and 59.2% received medical care 2 or 3 times per week. 40.7% of patients had over 9 hours sleeping time and 22% had reduced $1{\sim}2hours$ before hospitalization. 90% did not have drinking and smoking. 91.4% had 3 times eating per day, and 67.7% did not have good nutrition. The reasons of that were their eating habit, 542% of eating-giver, 3.7% of economic problem. 46.9% of patients used healthy food. In active daily living, patients can't do drinking by cup, voiding & defication by themselves, however patients can't do wearing/take off, etiquette for dressing, bathing, stepping by themselves. 40.7% of patients don't wear orthosis, 55.6% of patients don't use W/C. Part of physical therapy that patients concerned importantly exercise for prevention of joint distortion, management of affected side, and 80% of patients was also concerned other's part, significantly. 71.8% of patients & care-givers want to receive physical therapy at home, and 74% of patients do physical therapy by themselves at home along teached hospitalization.

In this study the effects of specifics surface area of cement, addition amount of gypsum and substitution ratio of gypsum anhydrite ont he physical properties of cement mortars were investigated by measruements of setting time, flow, compressive strength and hydration heat evolution rate. The results showed that fluidity of mortars was increased by 40 wt.% of maximum flow change with the decreasing specific surface area of cement from 3,500$\textrm{cm}^2$/g to 3,300${\pm}$50$\textrm{cm}^2$/g and affected by the relationship between the cement and balancing between the chemical activityof cement and solubility of calcium sulfate are desirable to prevent the fluidity of concrete from decreasing by high temperature in summer season.

Comparative amino acid quantities on the blood analysis was carried out to investigate the amino acid specific characters on the blood in four type of physical constitution 1. In TAE-EUM-IN group, compared with control group, the proline and the serine were more observed. 2. In SO-EUM-IN group, compared with control group, the aspartic acid was more observed. 3. In SO-YANG-IN group, compared with control group, the proline was more observed. but the threonine and the aspartic acid were less observed. 4. In SO-EUM-IN group, compared with TAE-EUM-IN group, the aspartic acid and the serine were more observed. 5. In SO-YANG-IN group, compared with TAE-EUM-IN group, the serine and the proline were more observed, but the glutamic acid and the threonine were less observed. 6. In SO-YANG-IN group, compared with SO-EUM-IN group, the threonine and the aspartic acid were less observed.

Reverse engineering is a technique that helps designers to quickly generate computer interpretable data from existing physical objects. It can be used for generating CAD data from a mechanical part of high precision, or generating computer animation characters from physical mock-ups. We developed a low precision reverse engineering system that is composed of surface/solid generation software and a contact type commercial 3D digitizer. A unique point sampling procedure has been devised to easily form solid topology from the sampled data. It was also shown that STL data for rapid prototyping was successfully generated from the solid.

The dielectric properties of the uniaxial relaxor ferroelectric $Sr_xBa_{1-x}Nb_2O_6$ with x = 0.75 were investigated along the polar [001] direction as a function of temperature. The capacitance maximum showed the frequency dispersion commonly observed in relaxors. Additional weak dielectric anomalies were observed in the paraelectric phase; they were only seen during the heating process and disappeared upon subsequent cooling. These were attributed to the existence of large polar clusters strongly pinned at defects and/or to random fields and their metastable characters. Aligning the ferroelectric domains along the polar axis at room temperature removed the high-temperature dielectric anomalies. The dependences of the capacitance and the dielectric maximum temperature on the magnitude of the poling field were investigated.

The purpose of this study is to study the movie costume and color image through the movie"Vertigo". Firstly, looking into the clothing style and the color image of the characters expressed in the movie, Scottie who had the physical limitation had phobia of height, and he was expressed with the gray color to show his lethargic feeling from his physical limitation. And, after the death of Madeleine, it expressed his sense of loss and depressed mind through the blue color. The comparison of green and red color that was used to link the two characters in Madeleine and her substitution, Judy, mystified her, and the image of dreamy Madeleine has been inscribed to Scottie. In addition, the green color expressed her unstable mind. The clothing expression of Judy is expressed with her unstable mind through the detailed clothing, unlike Madeleine. And, the black color expressed the false identity of her and the Madeleine image of his own for Scottie. The type of clothing is expressed in separates suit and overcoat that are representative ones in 1950s, and black dress with the square neckline and others expressed the silence on conspiracy of Gavin and the false identity of her. Secondly, the color image expressed in the background in the movie as a special space for Scottie and Madeleine. The blue color image for Scottie was shown to be as space for death and the green image for Madeleine as a fantasy.

영상처리라는 것은 문자를 인식하거나 물체를 인식하는 등 어떠한 물체의 특징을 추출하여 그에 대한 정보를 가지고 자동제어 시스템이나 인식시스템에 도입하는 것이다. 그러나 이러한 시스템들에 도입시키기 위해서는 찾고자 하는 물체의 특징을 잘 검출할 수 있어야 하며 검출된 특징의 패턴도 잘 잘 구별해야 한다. 그러나 본 논문에서 다루고 있는 고무 타이어의 특성은 배경과 문자열이 존재하는 특징면이 잘 구분되지 않는다는 것이다. 이것은 곧 특징 추출이 어렵다는 것을 간접적으로 나타내고 있는 것이다. 그러므로 수많은 논문에서 손실된 특징 정보를 복원하기 위한 기술과 끊어진 문자 정보를 유추하여 맞춰 내는 등의 기술을 많이 연구해 왔다. 그러나 우리는 무엇보다 처음에 입력받는 영상이 좋아야만 나머지 필터링이나 영상 처리기법이 쉽다고 생각하여 입력 영상을 개선시킬 수 있는 광학적인 환경에 관심을 두기로 하였다. 본 논문은 이리한 영상처리기법 중에서 입력 영상을 보다 선명하게 받아들이기 위한 조건을 찾고 광학적인 이론을 찾고자 하는 논문이다. 본 논문은 타이어를 생산하는 라인에서 타이어에 각인되어 있는 문자를 인식하고 상위 컴퓨터인 호스트 컴퓨터에 자료를 전송함으로써 물류를 관리하고, 다음 공정인 전수 검사공정에서 각 타이어에 맞는 휠을 끼우기 위한 작업을 위한 것이다. 이러한 시스템을 위해서는 나은 양질의 입력영상을 획득해야만 인식과정에서 오인식을 줄일 수 있고 자동화 공정에 응용할 수 있다. 양질의 입력영상을 획득하기 위해서는 빛의 입사각도와 피사체가 이루는 각도가 어떠한 각의 형태를 가지는가 하는 것이 중요하며 또한 이것을 받아들이는 카메라의 각도가 피사체와 어떠한 각을 이루는가? 하는 것도 중요한 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 이에 대한 최적조건을 실험적인 방법으로 찾고, 이에 대한 결과를 광학적으로 증명해 보고자 한다.

This study concerns the role of costume in Shakespearean tragedy from the viewpoint of the role theory. The term "role" has been used to represent the behavior expected of the occupant of a given position or status. A specific role can not be successfully performed without the aid of the Costumes. Costumes are adopted in relation with a specific role. The role of social status and position reflects sex, age, occupation, class, economic position of the characters. In his works, the crown and the mace represented not only the throne but also a previllege and supreme position. The sitution role of costume could be widely used for visualizing the psychological situation and external environments of the characters on the stage. The disguise role hided one's status, thereby makes possible acting others position. And the disguise role can bring about the change of status, age, sex, occupation, and atmosphere. The costume could be used as a voucher of love. The costume performed the role of the physical and psychic protection, and provided its wearer with consolation and peaceful mind. The costume reflected the custom of a society through its wearing condition and wearing configuration. The results obtained from this study can provide useful cues for understanding the role action in the social structure. This kind of understanding reveals the costume phenomena in real life, allows one to perform roles properly and efficiently, and opens our insight on the overall aspects of the costume culture.
