We have examined the photometric evolution of elliptical galaxies, using stellar evolutionary models covering the wide ranges of metallicity and mass, and the different IMFs (simple IMP & time-dependent bimodal IMF). The model with a time-dependent bimodal IMF can reproduce the observed integrated magnitudes and colors at all wavelengths. The computed model shows that the star formation in elliptical galaxies is still going on, although the number of newly born stars is very small. The chemical evolutionary effect is clearly seen in the C-M diagram of computed elliptical galaxies.

We have designed data processing server system to include data archiving, photometric processing and light curve analysis for KMTNet (Korea Microlensing Telescope Network). Outputs of each process are reported to the main photometric database, which manages the whole processing steps and archives the photometric results. The database is developed using ORACLE 11g Release 2 engine. It allows to select objects applying any set of criteria such as RA/DEC coordinate and Star ID, etc. We tested the performance of the database using the OGLE photometric data. The searching time for querying 70,000,000 records was under 1 second. The database is fully accessed using query forms via web page.
This paper addresses photometric distortion problems of a compact 3D scanning sensor which is composed of a micro-size and inexpensive camera-projector system. Recently, many micro-size cameras and projectors are available. However, erroneous 3D scanning results may arise due to the poor and nonlinear photometric properties of the sensors. This paper solves two inherent photometric distortions of the sensors. First, the response functions of both the camera and projector are derived from the least squares solutions of passive and active calibration, respectively. Second, vignetting correction of the vision camera is done by using a conventional method, however the projector vignetting is corrected by using the planar homography between the image planes of the projector and camera, respectively. Experimental results show that the proposed technique enhances the linear properties of the phase patterns that are generated by the sensor.
Gyeonggi science high school for the gifted (GSHS) installed 60cm telescope, which is waiting for student observers. It is essential to understand the characteristics of the photometric system, consisting of telescope, filter, and CCD, to get reliable data. CCD images of SA98 Landolt standard field and M67 were obtained on 19th March 2020. The images of each field were combined by filters, i.e., we ignored the monochromatic atmospheric extinction since the photometric objects themselves are standard stars. 24 standard stars in SA98 field and 12 standard stars in M67 were used to derive the tentative transformation equation between our bv photometric system and Johnson BV photometric system. In this poster, we present the preliminary standardization result for Johnson BV photometric system in GSHS 60cm telescope. The reproductivity is discussed by comparing color coefficients of two fields. We plan to extend this process to Johnsons-Cousins BVRI photometric system and narrow-band filters for flux calibration.

The conventional scan methods are based on a laser scanner and a depth camera, which requires high cost and complicated post-processing. Whereas in photometric scanning method, the 3D modeling data is acquired through multi-view images. This is advantageous compared to the other methods. The quality of a photometric 3D model depends on the environmental conditions or the object characteristics, but the quality is lower as compared to other methods. Therefore, various methods for improving the quality of photometric scanning are being studied. In this paper, we aim to investigate the effect of illumination conditions on the quality of photometric scanning data. To do this, 'Moai' statue is 3D printed with a size of $600(H){\times}1,000(V){\times}600(D)$. The printed object is photographed under the hard light and soft light environments. We obtained the modeling data by photometric scanning method and compared it with the ground truth of 'Moai'. The 'Point-to-Point' method used to analyseanalyze the modeling data using open source tool 'CloudCompare'. As a result of comparison, it is confirmed that the standard deviation value of the 3D model generated under the soft light is 0.090686 and the standard deviation value of the 3D model generated under the hard light is 0.039954. This proves that the higher quality 3D modeling data can be obtained in a hard light environment. The results of this paper are expected to be applied for the acquisition of high-quality data.

A realization for an accurate position detecting system of a moving target in two dimensional plane using dual line CCDs and photometric interpolation is presented. The system is realized that the infrared LEDs are utilized for lighting source, a target size is recognized by the scanned data from CCD owing to blocking the radiated light path by placing the target between CCD and lighting source, a coordinate on the plane is found by plane trigonometry formed by the moving target and two CCD sensors, and the former scan data is used for the coordinate iteratively and the photometric interpolation is applied to sub-pixel of scanned image. The experimental results show that the experiment results in a success rate about 3 different size targets, 3, 5 and 7mmm on the test plane $210{\times}373mm$. The moving target positioning detected success rate is 93% in 3mm target, 5mm is 95.3%, and 7mm is 95.8% respectively. The photometric interpolation is enhanced to 1.5% in comparison to be unused.
The purpose of this study was to classify body types of 800 female junior and high school students based on factor analysis, cluster analysis, and correspondence analysis of 15 photometric measurements of the subjects' lateral body lines. The results are as follows: The skeleton structure, which was represented the back bending by the photometric measurement, was already formed at age of 12 or 13, while the cervical skeleton, the size and inclination of the shoulder, and the degree of the lateral inclination of the upper body and the buttocks continued to grow by the age of 16. A factor analysis of the photometric measurement resulted in the sampling which determined the degree of the back bending, front-bust angle, and lateral view as well as the sampling whose factor represented the cervical inclination. A cluster analysis of the photometric measurement resulted in the four types of classification: Type 1, the straight type comprising 13.3% of the whole population; Type 2, the bent-forward type comprising 39.5%; Type 3, the lean-back type comprising 27.4%; and Type 4, the swayback type comprising 19.1%. Accordingly, the bent-forward type was found to be the dominant type among the four lateral body types.
Surface mineralogy of asteroids are inferred from photometric and spectroscopic observations with the wide range of wavelengths spanning from far-ultraviolet to mid-infrared. We classify mineralogy of those objects based on their spectral absorption features and spectral slopes. Based on overall spectral shapes, mineralogical classes are divided into three broad complexes; silicates (S), carbonaceous (C) and Vestoids (V), and the end-members that do not fit within the S, C and V broad-complexes. Each of them is subdivided into individual classes. Spectral classification of asteroidal objects has been simply represented by a combination of photometric colors. For a decade, photometric data of asteroids have been grouped and classified according to their SDSS colors converted from the spectral taxonomy. However, systematic studies for asteroid taxonomy based on Johnson-Cousins filters is few, and were conducted only with a small number of objects. In this paper, we present our preliminary results for taxonomic classification of Main Belt asteroids based on KMTNet Johnson-Cousins photometric color system.
We have carried out photometric follow-up observations of bright transiting extrasolar planets using the CbNUOJ 0.6 m telescope. We have tested the possibility of obtaining high photometric precision by applying the telescope defocus technique, allowing the use of several hundred seconds in exposure time for a single measurement. We demonstrate that this technique is capable of obtaining a root-mean-square scatter of sub-millimagnitude order over several hours for a V~10 host star, typical for transiting planets detected from ground-based survey facilities. We compared our results with transit observations from a telescope operated in in-focus mode. High photometric precision was obtained due to the collection of a larger amount of photons, resulting in a higher signal compared to other random and systematic noise sources. Accurate telescope tracking is likely to further contribute to lowering systematic noise by exposing the same pixels on the CCD. Furthermore, a longer exposure time helps reduce the effect of scintillation noise which otherwise has a significant effect for small-aperture telescopes operated in in-focus mode. Finally we present the results of modelling four light-curves in which a root-mean-square scatter of 0.70 to 2.3 milli-magnitudes was achieved.
