The study aimed to investigate the relationship between socio-demography, medical characteristics and health-related quality of life (HR-QOL) of a sample of breast cancer survivors in Malaysia. Materials and Methods: This pilot cross-sectional survey was conducted among breast cancer survivors (n=40) who were members of Breast Cancer Support Group Centre Johor Bahru. A validated self-administered questionnaire was used to identify the relationships between socio-demography, medical characteristics and HR-QOL of the participants. Results: Living with family and completion of treatment were significant predictive factors of self-rated QOL, while living with family and ever giving birth significantly predicted satisfaction with health and physical health. Psychological health had moderate correlations with number of children and early cancer stage. Survivors' higher personal income (>MYR4,500) was the only significant predictor of social relationship, while age, income more than MYR4,500 and giving birth significantly predicted environment domain score. Conclusions: The findings suggested the survivors coped better in all four HR-QOL domains if they were married, lived with family, had children and were employed.

  • With the development of the Information and Communication Technology(ICT), this society is changing rapidly to information based society. Also, the amount of new information and knowledge are increased quickly. Today, the traditional teaching-learning method based on teaching and learning of simple knowledge is not supported to problem solving any more. Because the learning and practice of ICT is affected not only personal growth but also the right to live. Due to this reason, it is important to teach and study using PBL(Problem Based Learning) in future. This paper proposes on-line based e-PBL which is combined e-learning with PBL. The e-PBL will be able to overcome the problem of traditional teaching-learnign method. Therefore, this paper developed the e-PBL teaching model for information literacy education of computer in elementary schools and inspected its effectiveness and validity. In addition, this paper built and utilized the e-PBL on-line learning support system including e-Mentoring which was defined as e-PAS system. It is effective for learners to improve the ability of self-leading, the accomplishment and satisfaction of studying.

To find out the subjectivity structure on delivery experience. 2. To describe the differences in delivery experience depending on the delivery methods. 3. To suggest effective nursing intervention for each type. Q-methodology was used for the research design. One of the main reasons to use this Q methodology. Because each individual's delivery experience can be different. The result of this study shows that the subjectivity related to the delivery experience of mother has at least four distinctive types. Type I mothers can be named as "Motherhood Identity Recognition Type". Type I subjects accept delivery experience very positively, show interest in the health of the baby, and identify their motherliness with responsibility. Type II mothers can be named "Leaping to Maturity Type". It can be explained as a state that mothers experience pain, but by understanding and enduring the pain, the pain is changed to maturity. Type III mothers can be named as "Pride Experience Type". Type III feels vaginal delivery as a process to become a real mothers, and have great pride in making this type of significant emotiange delivery. Therefore, they think the labor pain is worth the value and believes that there are other differences between vaginal delivery and cesarean section. Mothers of Type III take the delivery experience to be meaningful. Type IV mothers can be named as "Lack of Motherhood Transition Type". This type does not seem to feel sorry for their babies for going through a cesarean section delivery. The also do not have the satisfaction of delivery and motherliness identity is low. In addition, they especially do not feel affection towards their babies. Also, because they delivered babies in a state of anesthetics, they do not seem to feel much different, but show negative reactions toward themselves.ow negative reactions toward themselves.

  • Most of the tourist resort facilities in our country cannot be used in the winter season, and only a few spa resorts and sky resorts are available in the winter. To ameliorate this problem, various types of winter resort facilities have been constructed since 1970s and the massive development of winter resort facilities changed the resort market from a seller's market to a buyer's market. There has been however, few researches on marketing strategies for winter resorts, and there is a growing need for a rational method to maximize tourists' satisfaction and developers'profit at the same time. This research aims to develop a positining strategy to engance the marketability of winter resorts by classifying the resort market with the self-image types of users, and by analyzing the structure of the market, users' preferences, and locational factors. A survey was conducted with cases of Yong-Pyung resort, Mu-Ju resort, Alps resort, Bears resort, Back-Am spa resort, Su-An-Bo spa resort, and I-Chon spa resort. A list of questions in five categories -- similarity, characteristics, preferences, self-image, and personal characteristics of the respondents -- was constructed and tested. Among the 750 copies of questionnaire distributed, 700 were returned by only 378 were analyzed after screening missing or reckless answers. The statistical analysis of the data were conducted using techniques of correlation analysis, frequency analysis, factor analysis. Factor analysis and cluster analysis were used to group the cluster of self-image and a discriminant analysis were used to confirm this classification. The demographical characteristics were identified by frequency analysis, and resorts attributes were analyzed by oneway ANOVA analysis. Multidimensional scaling methods such as KYST, PROFIT, and PREFMAP were used for the positioning strategy.

Survey on A university dormitory and Chi square analysis (${\chi}^2$) indicated that each group's individual characteristics such as gender, grade, living period, and personality were statistically significant on the level of SOC at the level of p=.01. Individual analysis of SOC showed that sense of belonging was higher than shared emotional connection, which means certain level of intervention is needed. Pearson correlation analysis validated that there exists statistically significant relationship between physical environment and SOC. Further it also found that the most important predictor in facilitating social interaction were comfortable, quiet, and enough social space around the dormitory.
