기술의 발전으로 방송환경이 다양화되면서 전문가가 아니어도 단순한 제작 환경에서 직접 콘텐츠를 제공할 수 있는 개인 방송 산업 규모가 점차 증가하고 있다. 그로 인해 개인 방송 제작자들은 필요에 의해 선택적으로 최적의 시스템을 구성하기 위한 기술들을 요구하고, 개인 방송 시청자들은 PC뿐만 아니라 모바일 등의 선호하는 디스플레이 장치를 선택하여 언제 어디서나 시청하는 것을 원한다. 이를 위해서는 제작자와 시청자를 고려한 개인방송 서비스 모델 및 기술을 제공하는 것이 필요하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 IP 네트워크 및 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경을 활용하여 제작에서부터 전송 및 표출에 대한 전체적인 시스템 기술과 서비스 모델에 대해 논한다.

본 논문에서는 최근 IT 기술의 집약체인 스마트폰을 중심으로 국제표준인 ISO/IEEE11073, HL7을 준용하여 다양한 PHD(Personal Health Device)들과의 연결성을 지원하는 모바일 게이트웨이 플랫폼을 구축을 통하여 홈&모바일 헬스케어 분야에서 새로운 모델을 제시하고자한다. 아울러 핵심 기술 요소인 ISO/IEEE11073, HL7 적용을 통해 홈 헬스케어용 센서 기기에 대한 각종 기술을 축적 하고 최근에 활용이 보편화되고 있는 스마트폰을 활용한 헬스케어 플랫폼 적용으로 우수성을 확보하고자 한다.

이 논문은 개인용 비디오 녹화기(PVR)의 전자 프로그램 가이드(EPG) 서비스에 관한 것으로, PVR과 EPG의 연동으로 TV 방송 프로그램 녹화 진행 상태를 EPG상에 표시하는 방법을 제안한다. 이 과정은 다채널 방송의 프로그램 편성 정보인 EPG를 수신하고, EPG에서 방송 컨텐츠 편성기를 통해 적어도 하나 이상의 예약 녹화 화를 한 후, 예약 녹화에 의해 해당 프로그램의 녹화를 시작해서 현재 녹화중인 프로그램을 표시해주는 3단계로 이루어진다. 본 논문의 PVR의 EPG상에서 녹화 진행 상태 표시 방법은 개인용 비디오 녹화기에서 사용되는 전자프로그램 가이드에 현재 녹화중인 프로그램을 표시해 줌으로써 사용자가 프로그램을 선택하는 데 있어서 보다 많은 정보를 제공할 수 있고, 현재 녹화 진행 상태를 알 수 있어 편리한 사용자 인터페이스로 활용될 수 있다.

Social Network Service(SNS) is a kind of advanced Internet service that acts as personal media. This study was intended to find out the structural relationships among factors affecting the usage of social network services by extending the Technology Acceptance Model(TAM). For this purpose, the variable 'Flow' was first integrated into the TAM in order to understand the internal motivations of users. And then the external factors of SNS usage were derived from the perspective of users, contents, and media side of SNS, and finally the dependent variable was set with the intention of sustainable use. Then these factors were carefully integrated into a structural model. We expect the findings of this study will be very helpful for the internet marketing professionals, SNS developers, and the others.

As society gradually enters a virtual, non-face-to-face society, the use of online content is increasing as well. In particular, as smartphones are thoroughly established in our daily life, the platforms of webtoons, mobile broadcasting, and education are shifting from personal computers to smartphones. Recently, the development of the Over-The-Top media service (OTT service) enabled streaming services of various media contents through the internet and activation of IPTV. Therefore, the rapid increase of popularity of short-form content is a natural phenomenon with smartphone platforms with fast, improvised, and endless communication. Lately, TikTok became the favored platform with prosumers, defined as people who are both producers and consumers. In this study, I studied the experiential response of YouTube and TikTok users as representative examples of a short-form content platform developed after the 2000s, the flourishing years of digital content with a length of 30 seconds.

This paper reports on an ongoing study that utilizes the literacy autobiographies of 10 Asian and 10 Western graduate students from TESOL Masters programs in Korea and America as data for a cross cultural study on the discursive process of identity formation and the development of critical consciousness (Freire, 2000). While the data suggests similarities and differences between cultures in terms of the effects of education, social relationships, media, and religion, no definitive claims may be made due to the small size of the research corpus. However, analysis of the data revealed that only four of the narratives could be judged as engaging in critical introspection of individual subjects systems of knowledge, values, and beliefs, as opposed to the other narratives that were primarily descriptive of individual personal experiences. As such, this study found that while the willingness and ability to engage in the critical practices which lead to the development of a critical consciousness are similar across cultures, they may be mediated by the literacy practices inscribed in education, media, and other social practices.

급변하는 경쟁환경에서 텔코 진영의 미디어서비스가 특정단말이나 특정 네트워크에 종속되어서는 더 이상 경쟁환경에서 차별화를 위한 서비스 제공이 어렵게 된다. KT 인프라연구소에서는 pCod(Portable/Personal Contents on Demand) 서비스라는 이름으로 차세대 미디어의 기본 컨셉이 될 Anywhere, Anytime, Any-work, Any-device를 위한 서비스 플랫폼을 개발하였다. 본 논문에서는 KT인프라연구소에서 개발하여 광주 FTTH 시험사업에 적용한 pCod 서비스와 개인 맞춤 방송 서비스에 대하여 기술하였다.

최근 개인방송에 대한 관심이 증가하면서 개인 방송 제작자와 콘텐츠의 수가 급증하고 있다. 이에 시청자의 선택이 용이하도록 방송 내용 중 흥미를 끌 만한 장면을 모아 하이라이트를 제공하는 서비스에 대한 요구가 커지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 전문 편집자나 편집 기술 없이 자동으로 하이라이트를 검출하는 방법을 제시한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 개인 방송의 채팅 정보를 이용하며, 시간에 따른 채팅의 빈도 변화를 통해 하이라이트 구간을 검출한다. 검출 알고리즘은 시청자 선호도가 높은 게임 방송에 적용하여 그 성능을 확인하였다.

디지털 방송 시대를 맞아 별도의 테이프 없이 방송프로그램을 24시간 이상 녹화할 수 있는 개인용 비디오 녹화기에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 인텔사의 스트롱암 프로세서(SA-1110)를 이용하여 임베디드 시스템을 구현하고 하드디스크드라이브를 연결하고 운영체제로 리눅스를 사용하여 PVR(Personal Video Recorder)용 하드디스크드라이브를 내장한 임베디드 시스템을 구현하였다. 본 논문에서는 플래시 메모리에 부트로더, 리눅스커널과 램디스크를 JTAG을 통해서 저장하고 스트롱암프로세서에서 리눅스 운영체제를 통하여 외부 인터페이스를 제어하게 된다. 치부 인터페이스로는 이더넷과 시리얼 통신을 제공한다.

본 논문은 안드로이드 환경에서 사용자의 피부색으로부터 퍼스널 컬러를 추정하고, 퍼스널 컬러와 함께 조화 색상을 추천하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 기존 영상 처리를 이용한 퍼스널 컬러 분석 방법[1]에 색채 이론을 도입하여 입력 영상으로부터 보다 정확하게 퍼스널 컬러를 추정하는 방법을 제안한다. 결과적으로, 기존 퍼스널 컬러 이론이나 방법보다 더 개인에게 최적화된 색상을 추천할 수 있었다.
