On the W-CDMA system with Smart Antenna over Wideband Realistic Channel Model (광대역 실측채널모델에서 스마트 안테나를 적용한 W-CDMA 성능분석)

  • In this paper, the performance of the W-CDMA system with smart antenna is investigated. The channel is assumed as wideband realistic channel mode, JTC(Joint Technique Committee), which has clustered multipaths. The beamforming-RAKE receiver structure is proposed, whose performance is analyzed on the assumption of the perfect channel estimation. In a simulation, the probability density function(pdf) of SINR(Signal to Interference and Noise Ratio) according to the number of antennas and users is presented. And based on the pdf of SINR, the BER(Bit Error Rate) is presented. According to the result of a simulation, the performance of the W-CDMA system with smart antenna over the realistic JTC channel model has been considerably improved.

  • In this paper, the performance of the parallel interference cancellation(PIC) with RAKE receiver is more precisely analyzed in the uplink multipath fading channel. There is some difference between the proposed analysis method and the previous ones. Namely, it can be confirmed that the proposed analysis method by using stochastical characteristics is more accurate than the previous ones. It is also verified that the analysis result is similar to simulation as the number of user is increased. It is assumed that the channel estimation is perfect and the delay of multipath is Tc in the simulation.

  • Recently, computer hardware is evolving toward increasing the number of computing cores, not increasing the clock speed. In order to use the performance of parallelized hardware to the maximum, the running program must also be parallelized. However, software developers are accustomed to sequential programs, and in most cases, write programs that operate sequentially. They also have a lot of difficulty designing and developing software in parallel. We propose a method to automatically convert a sequential C/C++ program into a parallelized program, and develop a parallelization tool that supports it. It supports open multiprocessing (OpenMP) and parallel patterns library (PPL) as a parallel framework. Perfect automatic parallelization is difficult due to dynamic features such as pointer operation and polymorphism in C/C++ language. This study focuses on verifying the conditions of parallelization rather than focusing on fully automatic parallelization, and providing advice to developers in detail if parallelization is not possible.

  • We propose a mathematical model with Holling type II functional response, to study the dynamics of vaccination. In order to make our model more realistic, we have incorporated the recruitment of infected individuals as a continuous process. We have assumed that vaccination cannot be perfect and there is always a possibility of re-infection. We have obtained the existence of a disease free and endemic equilibrium point, when the recruitment of infective is not considered and also obtained the existence of at least one endemic equilibrium point when recruitment of infective is considered. We have proved that if Rv < 1, disease free equilibrium is locally asymptotically stable, which leads to the elimination of the disease from the population. The persistence of the model has also been established. Numerical simulations have been done to establish the results obtained.

  • The intrusions appears continuously by new unknown attacks exploiting vulnerabilities of systems or components but there are no perfect solutions to protect this unknown attacks. To overcome this problem, in this paper, we have proposed and implemented a Web service intrusion tolerant system that provides continuous Web services to the end users transparently even after the occurrence of an attack against the Web services, and prevents the disclosure of system's configuration data from server Our system has an N+l node architecture which is to minimize the number of redundant server nodes and to tolerate the intrusion effectively, and it also supports diversity in its design. Experimental result obtained on an implemented system show that our system can cope with intrusion such as DoS, file modification, confidentiality compromise of system properly.

  • In this paper drill shape and cutting conditions for environmentally conscious dry drilling of A319 Al-alloy are studied by experimental method. The experiment is planned with Taguchi's method that is based on the orthogonal array of design factors. The result is summarized as follows (1) Drill geometry optimization can increase the number of holes in dry drilling and also large helix angle and large point angle are desirable in dry drilling. (2) It is found that cutting conditions that is cutting speed and feed rate are closely related to the drill geometry(3) For dry drilling of Al-alloys drill shape and cutting conditions are selected and tested by experimental method. But it is found that the perfect dry drilling is difficult because of the machining characteristics of Al-alloys and so new machining method such as minimal lubricant application is required.

  • This study was designed to examine the determinants of housing decisions of prospective home buyers in newly constructed areas in Ulsan. The main focus was to clarify the current mobility motives. reasons for choosing present dwelling, housing values , housing satisfaction, housing Preferences of households. The data used in this study were collected from a probability sample consisting of 350 households, and analyzed through descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and analysis of variance. The major findings were as follows: 1) The motives of current mobility of households were home ownership, larger space, and better neighborhoods. 2) The reasons for choosing present dwelling were location. dwelling size, air quality and housing price. 3) Seventeen items of housing values were identified important. 4) Households were satisfied with dwelling size, number of rooms, views, and neighborhood facilities, 5) Dwelling features preferred by the households were the individual opinion of interior, perfect antinoise, better construction materials, better bath, kitchen facility etc.

  • 3G 이동통신기술중 하나인 UMTS(Universal Mobile Telecommunications System)에서는 무선 구간의 안전한 통신을 위해 UMTS-AKA(Authentication and Key Agreement) 프로토콜이 사용된다. 그러나 SN(Serving Network)과 HN(Home Network)의 통신량 소비 문제, SQN(SeQuence Number) 동기화 문제 등 여러 가지 문제점이 제기되었다. 본 논문에서는 기존 프로토콜의 문제점과 IMSI(International Mobile Subscriber Identity)의 노출로 인한 프라이버시 문제점을 해결하고, ECDH(Elliptic Curve Diffie Hellman) 기법으로 완전한 전방향 안전성을 제공하는 프로토콜을 제안한다.

Adaptive Bandwidth Allocation for QoS Guaranteed VLC Based WPAN

  • Visible light communication based wireless personal area network (WPAN) has recently remained in the center of attention, as it shows a lot of promise to a be a perfect replacement for the contemporary Radio frequency (RF) communication at least in the indoor environment. A commercially deployable VLC based WPAN must support diverse traffic requirement for different kinds of service. In this paper, we have proposed an innovative bandwidth allocation scheme for VLC based WPAN. We wish to allocate bandwidth adaptively for users in a network where bandwidth for each user is allocated scalably. Our aim is to allow maximum number of users in a VLC based WPAN where each user is guaranteed their required QoS. The simulation results justify that the proposed scheme is better than the conventional scheme.
