The service quality customers perceived has positive relationships with trust, image, and satisfaction toward airline companies. Providing personal and non-personal services could be factors that build up not only overall impressions but positive and negative emotions and could be connected to customer behavioral intention. Thus, this research divided service encounter quality into personal and non-personal encounter quality and investigated effects of two types of service encounter quality on airline image, perceived value and customer loyalty. The result shows that personal service encounter quality has a positive effect on airline image and a negative effect on perceived value. Non-personal service encounter quality has an influence on airline image and a negative influence on perceived value. Personal service encounter quality does not have a significant effect on customer loyalty but non-personal service encounter quality has an effect on customer loyalty. Airline image does not affect perceived vlaue significantly however, do affect customer loyalty. Finally, perceived value does not have a significant effect on customer loyalty.
Background: Over the last decade, medical tourism industry has grown in Korea. Especially the number of Mongolian medical tourists has increased rapidly. Therefore, the Mongolia is one of the targets for Korea medical tourism. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of destination image and expected attributes of medical services on Mongolian's intention to use Korean medical tourism service. Methods: This study empirically collected survey data from Mongolian lived in Mongolia. The study analyzed the data using a PLS model. Results: Our results are as follows. First, the country image didn't significantly have causal effects on expected medical service quality and perceived risk. Second, tourism image (e.g., entertainment, economic feasibility, and local convenience) has significantly causal effects on expected medical service quality and perceived risk. However, tourist site as tourism image didn't significantly have causal effects on expected medical service quality and perceived risk. Third, medical image made a statistically significant effect on expected medical service quality and perceived risk. Fourth, the expected medical service quality showed a significant effect on intention to use Korean medical tourism service. Fifth, the perceived risk of medical tourism showed a significant effect on the reliability of medical tourism, but didn't show a significant effect on the intention to use Korean medical tourism service. Finally, the reliability has a significant effect on the intention to use Korean medical tourism service. Conclusion: From our empirical results, this study concluded that as a strategy attracting Mongolian patients, it is more effective to strengthen Korean hospital image and tourism image than Korean country image.
Sexiness is the image of a person who attracts attention regardless of his/her age, and today's society has created a more positive impression by transforming the image into something others consider even more attractive. Consequently, we begin to take interest in makeup, - a means of portraying a good impression. Eyebrow makeup in particular, being at the center of the determining factor of a good facial image, can be thought of as the makeup that can most effectively transform one's image. The purpose of this study was to analyze the difference in perceived sexiness depending on the general perception of eyebrow makeup. This study produced an eyebrow stimulus that applied the average rate of change in an image transformation of different eyebrows in order to raise the objective credibility of the sensibility evaluation so it could determine the figure of influence that eyebrows had on facial impressions. The research results showed that the majority of female university students believed that eyebrows were an effective means of expression in changing facial images and attributed a higher mature and sexy image if the average ratio of change was higher. The study, could also identify that a sexy image was perceived when the average rate of change was between 0.39~0.44. In addition, when the gradient of the shape of the viewers' own eyebrows was low, it could be verified that they perceived an image to be sexy from seeing eyebrows with a relatively high gradient.
The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of sportswear brands' country-of-origin on purchase intention (PI) in terms of brand personality as perceived by Chinese university students. Chinese students preferred to shop for sportswear at specialty stores, liked Nike and Adidas most, design was the most important factor when selecting, selected their sportswear themselves, and gathered information from TV ads. With regard to perceptions of brands country-of-origin, America was perceived as a developed country, influential to the world, but as having a bad relationship with China. Germany was perceived as a developed country and as having a well-developed civic culture, good people image, high technology, high influence on the world, and a good relationship with China. Italy was perceived as a developed country with the highest civic culture. China was perceived as a developing country, as having a good people image, and low technology and low influence on the world. Japan was perceived as a developed country with high technology. Factors of brand personality were sincerity, competence & sophistication, and excitement. Nike was perceived as having high competence & sophistication and excitement, Adidas as having high competence & sophistication and excitement, Lining as having high sincerity, and Mizuno's brand personality was very low. People image, competence & sophistication and excitement became higher, PI of Adidas increased. If people image, competence & sophistication and excitement became higher, PI of Kappa increased. If a country was developed and competence & sophistication and excitement became higher, PI of Lining increased. If civic culture, people image, technology, competence & sophistication and excitement became higher, PI of Mizuno increased.
The purpose of this study was to examine sex and grade differences in children's body shape, body image perception and diet behavior and to identify the effect of children's body shape and body image perception on their eating behavior. Data were collected from 345 3rd and 6th graders by questionnaire and analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and Scheff. Girls' body image perception was more negative than boys' and 6th graders' was more negative than 3rd graders'. Self-perceived obese children had more negative body image and had attempted to go on a diet more often than children who thought themselves normal or thin. The more children perceived their body image negatively, the more they attempted to go on a diet and perceived food and eating negatively.
A new texture segmentation-based image coding technique which performs segmentation based on roughness of textural regions and properties of the human visual system (HVS) is presented. This method solves the problems of a segmentation-based image coding technique with constant segments by proposing a methodology for segmenting an image texturally homogeneous regions with respect to the degree of roughness as perceived by the HVS. The fractal dimension is used to measure the roughness of the textural regions. The segmentation is accomplished by thresholding the fractal dimension so that textural regions are classified into three texture classes; perceived constant intensity, smooth texture, and rough texture. An image coding system with high compression and good image quality is achieved by developing an efficient coding technique for each segment boundary and each texture class. For the boundaries, a binary image representing all the boundaries is created. For regions belonging to perceived constant intensity, only the mean intensity values need to be transmitted. The smooth and rough texture regions are modeled first using polynomial functions, so only the coefficients characterizing the polynomial functions need to be transmitted. The bounda-ries, the means and the polynomial functions are then each encoded using an errorless coding scheme. Good quality reconstructed images are obtained with about 0.08 to 0.3 bit per pixel for three different types of imagery ; a head and shoulder image with little texture variation, a complex image with many edges, and a natural outdoor image with highly textured areas.
In response to the global trend of making sustainable development an urgent task, luxury fashion brands actively embrace it in their corporate philosophies and management policies. However, despite the widespread consensus in the related industry and the strong will of companies for the sustainable development of luxury brands, there are still few cases of luxury fashion brands successfully implementing sustainable development. This study examined the impact of the types of message framing on the sustainability marketing of luxury fashion brands, focusing on their effects on perceived message effectiveness, sustainable brand image, and brand attitudes. An online survey was administered to 464 Korean consumers in their 20s to 40s to test the hypotheses. The results showed that perceived effectiveness was higher for negatively framed messages (loss) than for their positive counterparts (gain). The types of message framing did not significantly affect sustainable brand messages, and no significant difference in perceived brand image was found, regardless of message type. Perceived message effectiveness exerted a significant positive effect on sustainable brand image, and such an image had a significant positive effect on brand attitudes. The results provide implications for related research and practical implications for the development of competitive sustainability marketing strategies for luxury fashion-an industry still in its infancy.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the degree and correlations between the nursing image and professionalism perceived by male and female nursing students in College. Method: The subjects were composed of 683 nursing students (male 59, female 624) in college located in Gyeonggi province using convenience sampling method. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient and t-test were used for data analysis. Results: The mean score of nursing image perceived by male nursing students was 3.80 (${\pm}0.51$) and that of female nursing students was 3.75 (${\pm}0.45$). The mean score of professionalism perceived by male nursing students was 3.61 (${\pm}0.55$) and that of female nursing students was 3.64 (${\pm}0.42$). There was no significant difference between nursing image of male and female students in statistical analysis (t=1.38, p=.248). And there was no significant difference between professionalism of male and female students in statistical analysis (t=1.73, p=.167). The nursing image perceived by male nursing students was positively related to professionalism (r=.74, p<.001). The nursing image perceived by female nursing students was positively related to professionalism (r=.69, p<.001). Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, further research is needed to change of perspectives on new educational approach to male nursing students.
To attract visitors, it is essential to make destinations understandable by developing appropriate destination image. However, managing destination image properly is very complicated in order to induce visitors. In this study, the perceived destination image of backpackers who stay in guesthouse located in Seoul is explored. The purpose of the study was to examine the image of Seoul as a tourism destination. To this end, Q methodology, a technique designed for the systematic study of subjectivity in terms of beliefs, opinions, and attitudes is employed. More specifically, the statements representing different destination images perceived by sampled backpacking visitors were Q-sorted. Results showed that four different clusters of sampled backpacking visitors present four different perceived images accordingly: Seoulizer, Patternaizer, Utilizer, and Socializer. The results of this study imply that backpackers provide idiosyncratic perceptions of destination image, which are different from those offered by general travelers who are less sensitive to travel budgets. In addition, for tourism management, based on this study's results, destination marketing planners are encouraged to perform knowledge management, develop more appropriate plans and customized marketing strategies according to different perceived destination images of backpackers.
As competition grows in the telecommunication service industry, understanding the origins of brand image and consumer behavioral intentions challenges practitioners to design an effective marketing strategy and branding plan. In this paper, brand image and behavioral relationships are investigated in Bangladesh, an emerging market that has a particular socio-cultural and economic context of one of the most densely populated countries of South Asia. This study employs confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling to analyze the database. Empirical testing and the proposed model suggest that brand image is the prime determinant of consumer satisfaction and loyalty. The results highlight the importance of perceived value, perceived trust and price structure to project brand image and satisfaction. Additionally, confirmation exhibits a stronger total effect of brand image on customer loyalty. Empirical findings extensively contribute to the theoretical and managerial understanding of subscribers' attitudes toward telecommunication service in an emerging market context.
