전공, 교양 및 온라인강좌에 대한 만족도 및 충실도 분석 (A Study on Satisfaction and Perceived Fidelity to the Major, Non-major and Online Classes)

  • 본 연구는 2010년 12월 15일부터 2011년 1월 3일까지 1,045명의 대전 소재 4년제 M대학생들을 대상으로 전공, 교양 및 온라인강좌에 대한 만족도와 충실도를 설문하여 학생들이 느끼는 불만 요소를 도출해보고 또한 학년별, 소속단과대별, 성별 만족도나 충실도의 차이를 SPSS 18 패키지를 사용하여 분석하였다. 설문 결과 전공강좌, 교양강좌, 온라인강좌에 대한 만족도와 충실도는 기술통계(descriptive statistics)적으로도 큰 차이를 보였다. 학년별 만족도나 충실도는 통계적으로 유의할 정도의 차이를 보였으나 성별 만족도나 충실도는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 반면 소속 단과대학별 교양강좌에 대한 만족도나 충실도 차이는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았으나 전공강좌에 대한 충실도 차이는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았으나 만족도는 유의한 차이를 나타냈다.

2D와 3D 디스플레이로 구현된 운전 시뮬레이션에서 운전자의 종적 차량통제 수행, 주관적 피로감 및 지각된 현실감의 차이 (Differences in Driver's Longitudinal Vehicle Control, Subjective Fatigue, and Perceived Fidelity in 2D and 3D Display Driving Simulation)

  • 본 연구에서는 2D 화면과 3D화면으로 각각 제시된 운전 시뮬레이션 환경에서 운전자의 종적 차량통제, 주관적 피로감 및 지각된 현실감에서의 차이를 비교하였다. 본 연구의 결과들을 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 실험참가자들은 미리 정해진 네 가지 수준의 목표속도(60, 80, 100 및 120km/h)를 유지할 때 3D 조건보다는 2D 조건에서, 그리고 목표속도가 낮을수록 목표속도에 비해 더 빠르게 운전하였고, 이러한 경향은 목표속도 조건과 상관없이 일정하였다. 둘째, 선행차량과의 차간거리 유지수행에 대한 분석 결과, 2D 조건에 비해 3D 조건에서 실험참가자들은 선행차량과 더 근접한 차간거리를 유지하며 주행하였는데, 특히 선행차량의 주행속도가 비교적 느렸던 조건(즉, 60km/h)에 비해 비교적 빨랐던 조건(즉, 80 및 100km/h)에서 이러한 경향이 두드러졌다. 셋째, 속도 유지 과제와 선행차량과의 차간거리 유지수행 모두에서 2D 조건에 비해 3D 조건에서 실험참가자들이 경험하는 피로감의 수준이 더 높았으나 주관적 현실감에 대한 평가에서는 두 가지 과제 모두에서 2D와 3D 조건에 따라 유의한 차이가 관찰되지 않았다.

Effectiveness and Problems of Distance Learning

  • In this paper, attendance in distance learning courses of a cyber university has been surveyed in an effort to verify the effectiveness of distance learning. Based on survey data from 4,749 distance learning participants, major attending place, major reasons for attending online class, fidelity to online classes, attending time per week, perceived educational effectiveness, perceived and relative seriousness of problems, and other variables have been evaluated. The results indicate that perceptional seriousness of the investigated problems is not statistically important. The findings indicate that, among operational problems, self willingness and cheating are the most remarkable. In contrast, the relative seriousness of traditionally recognized problems such as H/W availability and network speed among environmental problems is least remarkable. An analysis of demographic differences such as sex, employment, and school year in terms of seriousness of problems is also performed. The results reveal the existence of statistically significant differences according to sex, employment, and school year with regard to almost all elements of environment, actual current conditions, and seriousness of problems, with the exception of some elements such as attending place and perceived fidelity.

Nurse Educators' Experience of Developing and Implementing a High-fidelity Simulation-based Interprofessional Education Module for Medical and Nursing Students

  • Objective: Despite the recommendation of the use of high-fidelity simulation (HFS) in interprofessional education (IPE), there is little known about its work for nursing students. Thus, this study aimed to explore nurse educators' perceptions and experiences in developing and implementing the HFS-based IPE for nursing and medical students. Methods: This study used a case study, using reflective filed notes. Results: Nursing educators perceived HFS as an effective educational approach to engaging nursing and medical students actively in interprofessional collaborative practice (ICP) experiences and in evaluating their actual performance on it. In terms of their perspectives on the elements necessary for effective HFS-based IPE, four themes were identified: collaborative learning, co-facilitating debriefing, leadership commitment and active faculty involvement.

Comparative Analysis of Online Real-time Lecture and On-demand Contents Lecture under the COVID-19 Situation in Korea

  • Colleges have been forced to take non-face-to-face classes this year due to the COVID-19, and the situation is expected to continue unless the development of treatments and vaccines is carried out as soon as possible. In the situation where non-face-to-face classes are required under compulsion, two methodologies have been suggested as most representative alternatives to face-to-face classes: online real-time classes and on-demand contents classes. The purpose of this study is to compare the perceived convenience, self-fidelity, and preference of students between online real-time and on-demand contents classes by gender, school year grade, mostly using class media, and number of courses taken. Comparative results between online real-time and on-demand contents classes were statistically analyzed by surveying students at a university.

대학생의 라이프스타일 유형과 자녀관에 관한 연구 -경상남도 지역을 중심으로- (A Study on the Lifestyles of University Students and their Perception of Childbirth with a Focus on the Gyeongsangnam-do Area)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of lifestyle on the perceived value of children in university students. Questionnaires were distributed to 467 university students with questions covering topics including general personal information and characteristics, lifestyle type, and value of children. First, a cluster analysis based on lifestyle showed that the subjects could be categorized into three groups: negative-leisure types, active-achievement types, and affirmative-fidelity types. The negative-leisure type was highly leisure-oriented and showed a negative self-value; the active-achievement type showed a perspective that valued personal and occupational self-development and a high level of labor-oriented value; and the affirmative-fidelity type favored materialism, seeking occupational aptitude and worth and showing a positive self-value. Second, an investigation of the impact of these three lifestyle types on the students' value of children revealed that the active-achievement type group had high level of belief in the necessity of childbirth, the affirmative-fidelity type group highly valued fulfilling an active parent role, and the active-achievement type group were inclined to delay childbirth. Further, the negative-leisure type group wanted the lowest number of children, while the affirmative-fidelity type group wanted the highest number of children. This study reveals that university students' lifestyle does have an effect on their value of children. It is therefore proposed that a value-focused population education for increasing fertility should relate not only to individuals' value of children but also to their broader lifestyle.

환자 안전 역량을 위한 수혈 시뮬레이션에서 간호학부생의 오류 발생과 복구 수준 (Nursing Students' Error and Recovery in Transfusion Simulation for Safety Competency)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the types of errors that occurred and were recovered in a simulated transfusion scenario by nursing students. Methods: Twenty-eight teams of a total of 89 nursing students participated in a transfusion simulation using a high fidelity simulator. Data were collected by observing rule based errors and built in errors recovered according to the framework of Eindhoven model. Reflective journaling was used to identify perceived safety-threatening errors and commitment to improvement. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Results: All teams committed the rule based errors in the scenario. The most common errors occurred in the coordination category related to communication with physician. Most of students perceived the transfusion reaction as a safety-threatening error. Conclusion: The findings indicate that students lack patient safety competence. The simulation training to decrease errors and improve safe practice provides nursing students with an effective strategy to develop patient safety competence.

실버 소비자들의 주관적 연령에 따른 미용 서비스 구매 행동 (Purchasing Behavior of Hairdressing Services on Cognitive Age of Silver Consumers)

  • Recently, silver consumers were became new consumption market. The purpose of this study were to find out the relationships among cognitive age and variables related to hairdressing purchases in hairdressing shop. Data were obtained from 853 women in the 50's and 60's who living in Busan. Data were analyzed by frequency analysis, descriptive analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha and, $X^2$-test, t-test using SPSS WIN 12.0. The results of the study were as follows: First, Service quality of hairdressing shop were consisted of Personal Service, Facilities Service, Skill Service, and Policy Service. Second, Silver consumers' cognitive age influenced purchase behavior of hairdressing services. Most of respondents were perceived themselves to be younger than their chronological ages. Repurchasing intention of silvers who were active and self-fidelity or perceived themselves cognitively younger were more likely to be influenced by store service quality and consumer satisfaction. This study provides an insight into silver fashion marketers and retailers for developing market strategies for silver fashion market. Implications are drawn for the information useful to consumer behavior researchers and retailers of the silver fashion market.

Image and Display Quality Evaluation

  • When evaluating the quality of images and displays, it is important to combine the characteristics as perceived by the human visual system and measured by equipment using subjective and objective methods, respectively. In the case of objective methods, the quality of a display is measured using colorimetric or radiometric devices according to existing standards covering the color temperature, gamut size, gamma characteristic, and device characterization. Meanwhile, subjective methods assess the quality of an image using the human visual system based on a comparison with a reference or counterpart using such metrics as the sharpness, noise, contrast, saturation, and color accuracy. Objective and subjective methods are usually used together in comparison, as ultimately it is observers watching images on a display. In addition to existing objective methods, a new image quality metric is also introduced as regards the JPEG compression ratio that is reflected in the relationship between the gamut size and the color fidelity in CIELAB color space.

사용자 및 인터페이스 에이전트의 성별이 사용자의 평가에 미치는 효과 (Effects of users and interface agents' gender on users' assessment of the agent)

  • 본 연구는 의인화된 인터페이스 에이전트와 사용자의 성별이 에이전트에 대한 사용자의 평가에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해 실시되었다. 또한 에이전트의 시각적인 사실성의 수준에 관계없이 성별과 정서 표현 방식의 효과가 나타나는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 1은 공감적인 정서를 표현하는 얼굴 사진을 에이전트로 제시하고 에이전트의 성별과 사용자의 성별에 따라 사용자의 평가가 어떻게 달라지는지 알아보았다. 참가자로 하여금 에이전트와 함께 과제에 참가하게 한 다음 에이전트에 대한 느낌을 대인 평가 척도를 이용해 평정하도록 한 결과, 전반적으로 여성 에이전트를 선호하는 경향이 나타났다. 또한 참가자가 이성의 에이전트를 보다 긍정적으로 평가하는 경향을 나타내었다. 연구 2는 시각적인 사실성이 떨어지는 그래픽 캐릭터를 이용하여 에이전트로 제시하고 성별과 정서 표현 방식을 조작하였다. 참가자로 하여금 에이전트와 함께 과제에 참가하게 한 다음 에이전트에 대한 느낌을 평정하도록 한 결과, 연구 1과 마찬가지로 여성 에이전트를 더 긍정적으로 평가하는 경향이 나타났다. 또한 참가자는 참가자의 상태에 호응하는 방식으로 공감적인 정서를 표현하는 에이전트를 에이전트 자신의 정서를 표현하는 조건이나 정서를 표현하지 않는 조건보다 더 긍정적으로 평가하였다. 본 연구의 결과로부터 시각적인 사실성이 떨어지는 에이전트가 사용자와 상호작용할 경우에도 에이전트의 성별의 효과와 공감적인 정서 표현 방식의 효과는 여전히 사용자의 평가에 영향을 미친다는 것을 지지하였다.
