잔삭 가공을 위한 펜슬커브 생성 (Pencil Curve Computation for Clean-up Machining)

  • This paper presents a procedure to compute pencil curves from a triangular mesh which is offset with the radius of a given ball-end mill. An offset triangular mesh has numerous self-intersections caused by an abundance of invalid triangles, which do not contribute to the valid CL-surface. Conceptually, we can obtain valid pencil curves by combining all intersections tying on the outer skin of the offset triangular mesh, i.e., the valid CL-surface. The underlying concept of the proposed algorithm is that visible intersections are always valid for pencil curves, because visible intersections lie on the outer skin of the offset model. To obtain the visibility of intersections efficiently, the proposed algorithm uses a graphics board, which performs hidden surface removal on up to a million polygons per second.

  • Ball-end milling process is widely used in the die and mold manufacturing because of suitable for the machining of free-form surface. Pencil cutting can eliminate overload in uncut area caused by large diameter of ball-end mill before finish cutting. As the ball-end mill for pencil cutting is long and thin, it is easily deflected by cutting force. The tool deflection when pencil cutting is one of the main reason of the machining errors on a free-from surface. The purpose of the research is to find out the characteristics of deflected cutter trajectory by eddy-current sensor.

  • This paper proposes LQ optimal controller design method based on the modal decomposition. Here, the design problem of linear time-invariant systems is considered by using pencil model. The mathematical model based on matrix pencil is one of the most general representation of the system. By adding some conditions the model can be reduced to traditional system models. In pencil model, the state feedback is considered as an algebraic constraint between the state variable and the control input variable. The algebraic constraint on pencil model is called purely static mode, and is included in infinite mode. Therefore, the information of the constant gain controller is included in the purely static mode of the augmented system which consists of the plant and the control conditions. We pay attention to the coordinate transformation matrix, and LQ optimal controller is derived from the algebraic constraint of the internal variable. The proposed method is applied to the numerical examples, and the results are verified.

  • In this paper, we present a method to automatically generate a color pencil sketch image from a photo. First the image is converted into a sketch using a gradient estimation and then the color pencil sketch is produced by linear interpolation with original image and the sketched image. The experimental results show that the final image has a visual aspect of a color pencil sketch like image.

  • 본 논문은 선형 선배열에서 Matrix Pencil(MP) 기법을 이용해 별도의 탐색과정 없이 근거리 음원의 방위를 추정하는 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 기법은 선형 선배열에서 근거리 음원이 가지는 대칭성을 이용하여 조향 벡터를 거리 독립적인 항으로 변화 시킨 후 MP 기법을 적용한다. 각 음원의 거리는 앞서 추정된 방위 정보를 이용하여 음원 수만큼의 1차원 MUSIC 기법을 적용하여 추정된다. 제안된 알고리즘은 시뮬레이션을 통해 성능 검증을 하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to empirically investigate accuracy of paper-pencil test used in surveying control-display stereotype. For doing this, three paper-pencil tests dealing with stereotype for control-burner relationship of four-stove gas range, in which three different gas range images were provided, were performed and the results were compared with those of existing studies. The result of the paper-pencil test using simple image composed of line and circle was different from that of the real model simulation, while the results of the other two tests and a previous study providing more realistic images were the same as that of the real model simulation. Furthermore, the proportion of responses coinciding with the real model simulation increased as images used became closer to real range. It is concluded that the paper-pencil tests well designed using realistic images may produce the same stereotype as the real model simulation.

  • Array 신호처리에서 복소 지수함수의 합으로 구성된 신호의 파라미터를 추정하는데 고차 통계를 이용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 4차 cumulant를 이용한 고차 Matrix Pencil method(MPM)를 제안하였다. 4차 cumulant는 Gaussian 잡음를 억제할 수 있기 때문에, MPM의 응답은 기존의 방법에 비하여 더 좋은 잡음 면역을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 높은 정확성을 가지는 MPM의 모든 장점을 유지하면서 성공적으로 고차 MPM을 공식화하였다. 그리고 Numerical simulation을 통해서 본 논문에서 제안된 4차 cumulant를 이용한 방법이 Gaussian 잡음환경에서 더 우수한 DOA 분해능을 가지고 있음을 증명하였다.

  • Ball-end milling process is widely used in the die and mold manufacturing because of suitable one for the machining of free-form surface. During the process, the pencil cutting operation can be adopted before finish cut to eliminate overload in uncut area caused by large diameter of ball-end mill. The ball-end mill cutter for the pencil cutting is easily deflected by cutting force due to the long and thin shape, and the tool deflection in pencil cutting is one of the main reason of the machining errors in a free-form surface. The purpose of this study is to find the characteristics of deflected cutter trajectory by constructing measurement system with eddy-current sensor. It was found that the severe reduction of corner radius produced the overcut during the plane cutting. Up cutting method induced the overcut both plane and slope cutting, but down cutting one induced the undercut. From the experiments, down cutting with upward cutting path can generate the small undercut surface.

  • 잘 알려진 매트릭스 팬슬 방법은 정적이지 않은 환경 및 주파수가 같은 다중경로 신호가 존재 할때도 동작하는 입사각 추정방식이다. 매트릭스 팬슬방식은 기존의 공분산행렬을 사용한 방식보다 더 좋은 분해능을 보여 줄뿐 아니라 계산량의 측면에서도 매우 효과적이다. 본 논문에서는 매트릭스 팬슬 방식의 계산 과정에서 발생되는 데이터의 가중치가 균형이 맞지 않음으로써 생기는 영향에 관해 기술한다. 데이터의 균형이 맞는 새로운 방식의 매트릭스 팬슬 방식을 제안하고 데이터의 불균형을 해소할 수 있음을 보여주었다.
