Crosstalk Analysis of Coupled Lines Connected with Vias in a 4-Layer PCB (4층 기판에서 비아로 연결된 결합 선로의 누화 해석)

  • Multi-layer PCBs are of ien used In compact microwave circuit design as density of PCB layout is increased. In this paper, the crosstalk between coupled lines connected with vias in a 4-layer PCB is investigated theoretically based on the circiuit-concept approach. Coupled lines connected with vias in a 4-layer PCB are divided into three sections, which are coupled microstrip lines and upper via section, center via section, and lower via and coupled microstrip lines section, respectively. Each section is represented by ABCD matrix. By cascading these three ABCD matrices crosstalk between coupled lines connected with vias in a 4-layer PCB is approximately calculated. The validity of this theoretical approach is verified by comparing the calculated results with the simulated ones using HFSS.

  • Pseudomonas sp. P20 isolated from the polluted environment is capable of degrading biphenyl and 4-chlorobiphenyl. The pcbABCD genes responsible for degradation of biphenyl and 4-chlorobiphenyl were cloned using pBluescript SK(+) from the chromosomal DNA of Pseudomonas sp. P20 to construct pCK1 and pCK102, harbouring pcbABCD and pcbCD, respectively. The 2, 3-DHBP dioxygenase gene, pcbC, was cloned again from pCK102 by using pKT230 which is known as a shuttle vector and pKK1 hybrid plasmid was constructed. The E. coli KK1 transformant obtained by transforming the pKK1 into E. coli XL1-Blue showed 2, 3-DHBP dioxygenase activity. The specific 2, 3-DHBP dioxygenase activity of E. coli KK1 was similar to that of the E. coli CK102, but much higher than those of the natural isolates, Pseudomonas sp. DJ-12 and Pseudomonas sp. P20.

Analysis of Via Fence Effects in PCB Transmission Lines (PCB 전송선에서 비아 펜스의 효과 분석)

  • In analog and digital electronic systems, crosstalk between transmission lines on the printed circuit board can degrade the performance of equipment operations. This paper presents a technique to analyze the effects of via fence, which is based on additional transmission lines grounded by vias. The technique is composed of a circuit concept approach for transmission line sections md an impedance modeling of via hole sections. All sections are represented by ABCD parameters and they are cascaded. Finally, this technique was verified by comparing the measurement results with the simulation ones.

Homology Analysis Among the Biphenyl and 4-Chlorobiphenyl Degrading Genes by Southern Hybridization (Southern Hybridization에 의한 Biphenyl 및 4-Chlorobiphenyl 분해유전자들의 상동성 분석)

  • The homology among the genes coding for degradation of bipheny(BP) and 4-chlorobiphenyl(4CB) was comparatively analyzed by Southern hybridization in several BP/4CB degrading bacterial strains. As the hybridization results of their genomic DNAs with pcbABCD as the DNA probe, the group of Pseudomonas sp. DJ-12. P08 and P27 strain was separated by the group of P20 and P1242 strains. The P. pseudoalcaligenes KF707 showed the hybidization signal which was homologous to the group of DJ-12, but they had different restriction endonuclease sites. The pcbAB genes in pCUl recombinant plasmid from Pseudomonas sp. DJ-12 appeared to be homologous to pchAB genes in pKTF20 cloned from P. pseudoalcaligenes KF707, but the C genes in both strains were not homologous. The bphABC in pKTF20 showed the signals homologous to the cbp ACB in pAW6194 cloned from P. putida OU83, but homologous signal was not found botween the pcbABCD genes in pCUl and the cbpADCB genes in pAW6194 recombbinant plasmid.

Reidentification of Comamonas sp. Strain DJ-12 and Analysis of its pcbABC2D2 Genes Responsible for Degradation of 4-Chlorobiphenyl. (Comamonas sp. Strain DJ-12 의 재동정 및 4-Chlorobiphenyl 분해유전자 pcbABC2D2 의 분석)

  • Comamonas sp. strain DJ-12 is a 4-chlobiphenyl(4CB)-degrading bacterium that was reidentified from Pseudomonas sp. DJ-12. The genomic DNA was isolated from the strain DJ-12 and amplified by PCR with primers for cloning pcbABCD genes responsible for degradation of 4CB. The amino acid sequences deduced from the nucleotide sequences of pcbA1, pcbA2, pcbA3, pcbA4, pcbB, pcbC2, and pcbD2 genes showed 91, 87, 99, 87, 97, 90 and 87% homologies with those of Pseudomonas sp. KKS102, respectively. The pcbC1D1 genes that are involved in the degradation of (4-chloro)1,2-dihydroxybiphenyl produced from 4CB by pcbAB gene products were previously reported in the recombinant plasmid pCU1 from Pseudomonas sp. DJ-12. However, the pcbC2D2 genes in the plasmid pCT4 and pCT5 cloned from Comamonas sp. DJ-12 in this study showed 51 and 62% homologies with those of pcbC1D1 in their nucleotide sequences. The pcbC1D1 and pcbC2D2 genes were found by Southern hybridization to be located at different loci on the chromosome of DJ-12 strain. These results indicate that Comamonas sp. strain DJ-12 has two different sets of pcbCD genes responsible for deg-radation of (4-chloro)1,2-dihydroxybiphenyl.

Cloning of Dechlorination Genes Specifying Biodegradation of Toxic 4-Chlorobiphenyl (유독성 4-Chlorobiphenyl의 생분해를 위한 탈염소화 유전자의 클로닝)

  • The pchABCD genes in Pseudomonas sp. DJ-12 speciyin degradation o 4-chlorobiphenyl(4CB) were cloned in Eschericia coli. The cloned cells of E. coli CU1 and CU101 showed to produce 2,3-dihydroxybiphenyl (2,3-DHBP) from 4-chlorobiphenyl by dechlorination, as Pseudomonas so. DJ-12 produced 2,3-DHBP from both biphenyl and 4CB. In particular, E. coli CU101 transformed with the recombinant plasmid of pCU101 revealed dechlorination activity to produce 2,3-DHBP from 4CB without production of 4-chlorobenzoic acid. Therefore, the pcbAB genes (2.2 kb in size) cloned from the chromosome of Pseudomonas sp. DJ-12 were found to have dechlorination activity on 4CB to produce 2,3-DHNP.

Extraction of Electrical Parameters for Single and Differential Vias on PCB (PCB상 Single 및 Differential Via의 전기적 파라미터 추출)

  • This paper presents the characterization of through hole vias on printed circuit board (PCB) through the time domain and frequency domain measurements. The time domain measurement was performed on a single via using the TDR, and the model parameters were extracted by the fitting simulation using HSPICE. The frequency domain measurement was also performed by using 2 port VNA, and the model parameters were extracted by fitting simulation with ADS. Using the ABCD matrices, the do-embedding equations were derived probing in the same plane in the VNA measurement. Based on the single via characterization, the differential via characterization was also performed by using TDR measurements. The time domain measurements were performed by using the odd mode and even mode sources in TDR module, and the Parameter values were extracted by fitting with HSPICE. Comparing measurements with simulations, the maximum calculated differences were $14\%$ for single vias and $17\%$ for differential vias.

  • The pcb genes of Pseudomonas sp. DJ-12 coded for the catabolism of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCBs) and biphenyl. The products of the pcbCD genes were 2,3-dihydroxy-4'-chlorobiphenyl dioxygenase and meta-cleavage product (MCP) hydrolase, which acted on degradation of 2,3-dihydroxy-4'-chlorobiphenyl to 4-chlorobenzoate. The pcbCD genes were cloned in E. coli XLl-Blue, and then the pcbD gene was further subcloned. As a metabolite transformed from 2,3-dihydroxybiphenyl by the cloned cell of E coli CU103, benzoate was detected by the resting cell assay. The enzyme activities of 2,3-dihydroxybiphenyl dioxygease and MCP hydrolase produced in the cloned cells E. coli CU103 and CU105 were about 17 and 3 times higher than those of Pseudomonas sp. DJ-12, respectively.

  • The pchAB genes of Pseudomonas sp. DJ-12 produce the enzymes of 4-chlorobipheny] (4CB) dioxygenase and dihydrodiol dehydrogenase which act on the first and second steps in degradation of 4CB and biphenyl. The genes were cloned in E coli XLI-Blue. The pcbAB genes of about 2.2 kb in size were contained in the pCUlO1 hybrid plasmid in the cloned cell of CUIOI. The genes were found to have their own promoter and three restriction sites for HindlII. 2,3-dihydroxybiphenyl was detected by the resting cell assay, as the metabolite transformed from biphenyl by the cloned cell of CUIOI. This means that the pcbAB genes are well expressed in E. coli. But dechlorination was unlikely involved in the pchAB gene expression but was believed to occur by functioning on 4CBA produced after ring-cleavage of 4CB.

  • The electromagnetic coupling between transmission lines in PCB design can degrade the performance of equipment operations. The coupling phenomenon is caused by electromagnetic fields generated by the currents on the transmission lines and the risers. In this paper, an improved method of crosstalk analysis for bent coupled lines on a PCB is proposed and investigated. In the previous cascading method combined with circuit-concept approach, bent coupled lines are devided into sections and each section is represented by ABCD matrix and then they are cascaded. In the proposed method, the crosstalk of bent coupled lines is calculated by the modified circuit-concept approach, where the coupled region is not restricted to the region projected by a generator line on a receptor line but is the total length of receptor line in calculating the forcing terms. Finally, the accuracy of the proposed approach is verified by comparing the calculated results with the measured ones for several bent coupled-line examples.
