  • This paper is to investigate how each cases(recurrent cases) is to be classified and what each parties should prepare to solve their cases by civil law system and so on. We could find the increased volume (or quantity) of transportation by air recently and have to worry about the sky-rocketed cases of unfulfilled navigation management(aviation service) proportionately inevitably. So we knew that some cases of disputes are solved by unreasonable demand, unilateral concession or irrational decision without any logical or legal criterion, because both sides(passenger and carrier) do not recognize the situation correctly and have any preparation for the legal settlement. Therefore we should prepare the classification work and comprehend about the legal effect(fulfillment retardation of duty, fulfillment impossibility of duty and imperfect fulfillment in our civil law system) of each cases. We can grasp the legal relationship with a carrier and a passengers by the legal analysis more efficiently and save (or help) energy and time of concerned parties.

  • This paper is aiming to analyse the prefeasibility study of introduction of high speed rail freight system to transport some parcels for train operation efficiencies. As it does, this system can be meant a kind of multimodal system considering the passenger and freight in the same trainset, simultaneously. First, we implemented the parcel service market survey for customers preference, predicted demand forecast for high speed rail freight, and analysed B/C, NPV, etc.. As the result, this new system is feasible of applying the passenger-freight operation system economically, find the needs such as some revision of motor car for parcel freight transportation at the initial stage.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the economic aspect of sea transportation system between Inchon and Youngjong island in which Inchon international airport is being constructed. Total demand of sea transportation arising from in the airport and Yongyu Muwi leisure complex was estimated. To select optimum transportation route, environmental conditions in and around Inchon harbour and Youngjong island including the change of water depth by tide current, fog, rain, wind adn typhoon, ets., were investigated. The preliminary consideration on ships (size, velocity, transport capacity, price), routes, operational modes, terminals and berthing facilities were carried out. The transportation cost per passenger by sea transportation system was estimated to compare with that of land transportation system. It was found that sea transportation system proposed is competitive to the transportation system.

  • To predict the fire and smoke hazards of rail car with a evacuation model is essential for achieving life safety of all passengers in the event of fire. Currently, more than 30 different evacuation models are available and expected increasing demand in high population density areas as a metro train station. This paper includes brief history of evacuation models and review some key factors of design egress scenario, these are pre-movement time, egress route, location of fire, overturned carriage, and configuration of rail car. Applying the egress model for rail passenger car, users need to confirm the model's ability of physiological, psychological responses effecting to pre-movement time of individual or crowd unit, representation of complexity of carriage layout, and evaluation of effects of smoke.

  • The land transportation is the most common way to transport passengers as well as freight among other mode of transportations and consequently more likely to be constructed for faster and convenient travel In this regard, the demand for tunnel constructions will be increasing and the safety inside the tunnel will be considered major concern more than ever. In this paper, we show probabilistic methodology to calculate the personal risk of each evacuee starting from a different location in a tunnel on fire. Passenger evacuation time and smoke spread time are both assumed to be continuous random variables having specific distributions. The evacuation of passengers at each location and the safety facilities inside the tunnel are also crucial factors to calculate the probability of death.

  • The public transportation in operation or to be planned domestically includes subway, LRT, bimodal tram and bus, which are independently characterized in their passenger capacity and cost. High quality service is generally accompanied by high cost of construction and operation. Thus, ITS, BIS/BMS and BRT system are recently introduced to provide high quality service to the passengers with the cost as low as possible. The bimodal tram is under development to achieve such goals in public transportation. The passenger capacity is approximately expected to be 10,000$\sim$17,000 persons/hour and the construction cost to be 10$\sim$30 million dollars/km. It is possible to construct the infrastructure gradually depending on the demand of transportation in the planned route, which can effectively reduce the initial cost to launch the service. The bimodal tram is developed to provide the advantages of subway and bus to the passengers with respect to the scheduled operation and flexibility of the lines.

  • To improve safety operation of urban transit, compatible design of signaling system is most important factor at future train operation and management. Therefore, signaling system should be designed compatible transport demand of target year. In addition, signaling system should be designed improved train safety, based fail-safe principle. Most of all, to solve passenger concentration, high density and to improve efficiency of train operation. Headway improvement of train is most important. Train organization length of new urban transit as light rail is generally shorter than EMU. Therefore, to increase passenger service and operation efficiency, minimum headway of one minute in this system should be important required.

  • In China, the government has aggressively led the construction and expansion of airports across China. Upon this opportunity, "Korea-China" network is expected to expand. Therefore this study tried to deduce implications for Incheon International Airport by expansion of "Korea-China" traffic rights. As a result of analyzing the exchange values of traffic rights on the "Incheon~Beijing/Chengdu" routes, it was found that there is a concern that Chinese airlines could make inroads into Korean airline's market. In both routes, Korean airline's market share and passenger demand increased while the sales decreased after expanding traffic rights. On the other hand, Chinese airlines showed an increase in sales and a larger passenger growth than Korean airlines. Therefore it is necessary for the government to expand the traffic rights through detailed route value analysis.

  • 글로벌 팬데믹 사태는 항공 수요에 부정적인 영향을 끼치는 요소 중 하나다. 글로벌 팬데믹으로 인해 한국은 2020년과 2021년의 항공 승객 수가 2019년 대비 각각 68.1%와 47% 감소했다. 본 연구는 지난 20여년 동안 발생한 4대 팬데믹 특성을 분석, 전염병의 영향을 연구하는 것을 목표로 한다. SARS, H1N1, MERS 및 COVID-19의 발생기간 동안 한국의 항공 여객 및 화물 수요에 대한 실증 데이터를 활용하여 영향력을 분석한다. 또한 머신러닝 회귀 모델을 구축하여 향후 발생할 다른 전염병 대한 항공 수요를 예측하고자 한다. 연구 결과, 전염병이 항공 운항편수와 승객에 부정적인 영향을 미친다는 사실을 발견하였다. 반면화물 수송에는 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 분석 결과를 도출하였다. 본 분석에 활용되는 회귀 모델은 팬데믹 기간 동안 항공수요를 예측하는 데 평균 86.8%의 기능을 보였다. 또한 본 연구는 특정 국가의 팬데믹 상황보다 전 세계적인 팬데믹 상황이 항공 운송 수요에 더 많은 영향을 미친다는 것을 보여준다.

  • Safety performance of a new car is evaluated through USNCAP and their results in the star rating are provided to the consumers. It is very important to obtain high score of USNCAP to appeal their performance to consumers. Therefore the car companies have made the effort to improve their car safety performance. These efforts should satisfy the demand not only to get high score but also to pass the FMVSS, NHTSA regulations on safety. Huge numbers of car crash tests have been conducted on these bases by car companies. However physical tests spend too much cost and time, as an alternative way, the simulation on the car crash could be a solution to reduce the cost and time. Therefore the simulations have been widely conducted in car industry and various researches on this have been reported. In this study, restraint system had been optimized to minimize the injury of female passenger. Belted $5^{th}%ile$ female frontal crash test was selected from various test methods of USNCAP for the study. Initial velocity of the test was 56km/h. The combination injury probability of USNCAP was selected as an objective function and the injury limit value, which was defined in FMVSS, was set to an optimization constraint. Many researches that were similar to this study had been conducted, however most of them had limitation that interaction between airbag and safety belt had not been considered. Contrary to these researches, the interaction was considered in this study.
