The Effects of Exercise Commitment of University Water Sport Participants on Re-participation Intentions

  • Purpose: Today, participation rate of water sport has been dramatically increased due to expansion of leisure time and concerns. The purpose of this study is to identify the effect of the exercise commitment of university water sport participants on re-participation intentions and to induce insights for expanding water sport industry. Research design, data, and methodology: Subjects were collected from undergraduate students who participated water sports class in University. The sample was extracted by purposive sampling of nonprobability sampling method. To achieve the purpose of the research, survey was processed to 281 subjects. SPSS Version 21.0 was used to analyze the data. All statistical significance level was set to p<.05. In terms of measurement, items of demographic information, exercise commitment, and re-participation intentions were utilized. Results: The results are as follows. Frist, in the difference in exercise commitment and re-participation intention according to the grade, only the re-participation intention was significant. The effects of the exercise commitment of university water sport participants on re participation intentions were statistically significant. Conclusions: The findings indicate the function of sport club participants' commitment towards water sports in promoting their intentions to re-participation. The study suggested insights and future directions for expanding water sport markets and related industry.

Influence of MTB Members' Amusement Factor on Leisure Commitment

  • Purpose: This study sought to explore the effects of sport enjoyment on leisure commitment. Research design, data, and methodology: Subjects of this study are members of MTB participation in Seoul and Gyeonggi area and were selected by purposive sampling out of non-probability sampling. 295 questionnaires were collected and 288 questionnaires were used for the study. To analyze data, frequency analysis, factorial analysis, t-test, ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis were employed. Results: First, as for leisure satisfaction and leisure commitment pursuant, there was significant difference in gender, age, the number of participation in weekly leisure, and hours of participation in weekly leisure. Second, regarding MTB participants' amusement and leisure satisfaction competence had significant influence on all the sub-factors of leisure satisfaction and that both achievement and competence had impacts on social leisure satisfaction. Third, regarding effects on leisure commitment, competence of amusement had impacts on cognitive and behavioral leisure commitment. Fourth, regarding relationships between leisure satisfaction and leisure commitment, satisfaction of mental leisure, social leisure, relaxation leisure, physiological leisure and leisure satisfaction had significant influence on cognitive commitment. Conclusions: Summary of above results showed that MTB participants' amusement factor had significant influence on leisure satisfaction and leisure commitment. Implications were discussed. 공공의료기관 간호사의 조직몰입, 환자안전문화인식이 환자안전간호활동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Organizational Commitment and Perceived Patient Safety Culture on Patient Safety Nursing Activities in Public Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to identify and analyze organizational commitment, patient safety culture, and patient safety nursing activities on patient safety in public hospitals. Methods: The data were collected from 190 nurses in 6 public hospitals within the Gyeonggi region and were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 for descriptive statistics and multiple regression. Results: Patient safety nursing activity was positively correlated with the number of participants in patient safety training programs, organizational commitment, and patient safety culture awareness. Patient safety culture awareness was positively correlated with the number of participants in patient safety training programs and organizational commitment. Organizational commitment was positively correlated with age and total work experience. Factors affecting patient safety activities, frequency of patient safety training, and patient safety culture awareness were significant influencing factors with an explanatory power of 30.1%. Conclusion: In order to increase patient safety nursing activities in public hospitals, systematic patient safety training policies are required. In addition, diverse interventions are required to increase organizational commitment.

UTAUT 모델을 통한 여가스포츠 참여자의 스포츠몰입과 웨어러블 디바이스 수용 간의 관계 (Analyzing the relationship between Sports Commitment and Behavioral Intention of Sports Wearable Devices through UTAUT Model)

  • 본 연구에서는 여가스포츠 참여자 중 웨어러블 디바이스 사용자와 잠재적 사용자를 대상으로 하여 스포츠몰입(Sports Commitment)과 웨어러블 디바이스 수용의도 간의 관계를 UTAUT 모델을 활용하여 분석하였다. 편의표본추출법을 사용하여 표집된 239부의 설문지가 최종적으로 사용되었으며, SPSS 21과 AMOS 20 프로그램을 통해 분석하였다. 도출된 결과는 첫째, UTAUT 주요 4개 변인은 웨어러블 디바이스 수용의도와 사용행동에 유의한 영향을 미쳤으나 스포츠몰입 변인은 수용의도에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 둘째, 스포츠몰입과 웨어러블 디바이스 수용의도 간의 인과관계 사이에서 UTAUT 주요변인의 완전매개효과가 검증되었다.

병원간호사의 변화몰입과 학습지향성이 혁신성향에 미치는 영향 (Change Commitment and Learning Orientation as Factors Affecting the Innovativeness of Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify the effects of change commitment and learning orientation on the innovativeness of clinical nurse. Methods: The participants in this study were 268 nurses, working in hospitals in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Gangwon Provinces, and Daejeon City. Data were collected from June to August, 2012. A structured questionnaire was used for data collect and data was analyzed using the SPSS/WIN program. Results: The most significant predictors of innovativeness were education, normative commitment, continuance commitment and learning commitment. Continuance commitment negatively correlated with innovativeness. Conclusion: These findings suggest that nurses' commitment to change and learning commitment were strongly linked to innovativeness. Management-level workers in these hospitals should have the skills and strategies to promote commitment to change include developing positive expectations about change positive outcomes.

정보시스템 개발 프로젝트 참여 만족도 결정요인에 관한 연구: SI 프로젝트 참여인력 만족도 중심으로 (A Study on Determinants of Participants' Satisfaction in Information System Development Project: Focused on Outsourcing Project Participants' Satisfaction)

  • 아웃소싱 방식의 정보시스템 개발 프로젝트(SI 프로젝트)는 참여인력들의 만족도가 매우 낮은 것으로 알려져 있다. 이로 인해 잦은 전직과 이직, 프로젝트 참여 기피 등의 고질적인 문제가 발생하고, 프로젝트 성패에도 악영향을 미치고 있다. 참여인력들의 만족도 향상을 위해서는 프로젝트 참여만족도를 결정하는 요인들의 명확한 규명을 통한 개선이 필요하다. 프로젝트 참여만족도는 직무만족도의 일종으로 볼 수 있다. 선행연구에 의하면, 직무만족도는 직무특성과 무관한 급여, 보상, 명성 등의 일반 요인과 직무특성에 기인한 특화요인에 의하여 결정된다. 본 연구에서는 현업에서 프로젝트 참여만족도 측정에 널리 사용되는 PMI 설문에 기초하여, 정보시스템 개발 프로젝트의 특성에 기인하는 특화요인으로, 프로젝트 이행약정, 업무량과 업무시간, 프로젝트 통제, 조직내 의사소통, 조직간 의사소통, 방법론(프로세스) 영향도의 6가지 요인에 대하여 확인하고, 프로젝트 참여만족도 결정요인으로 적합한가에 대하여 66개 프로젝트에 참여한 390명의 데이터를 통해 검증했다. 연구 결과, 6개의 결정요인은 모두 프로젝트 참여만족도를 결정하는 요인으로 볼 수 있었다. 즉, 프로젝트 참여 인력들의 만족도는 프로젝트 이행약정과 프로젝트 통제, 의사소통, 프로젝트 방법론 등에 민감하게 반응하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 벤더 사(社) 참여인력 들의 만족도는 단순히 많은 업무량과 강한 업무강도 보다는 무리한 프로젝트 이행약정과 계획의 잦은 변경 및 불합리한 프로젝트 통제에 의하여 더욱 저해되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 참여자들의 프로젝트 참여 만족도를 신장시키고, 궁극적으로 프로젝트의 성과를 높이기 위해서는 단편적인 처방과 개선에서 벗어나 프로젝트 이행약정을 비롯한 프로젝트 특화요인들에 대한 종합적인 접근과 해결책이 필요할 것이다.

상급초보 간호사의 소명의식, 직무만족, 조직몰입이 재직의도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Advanced Beginner-Stage Nurses' Sense of Calling, Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment on Retention Intention)

  • Purpose: This study was designed to examine effects of sense of calling, job satisfaction and organizational commitment on retention intention in nurses who are at the advanced beginner-stage. Methods: Participants were 199 nurses with 13 to 36 months' clinical career at hospital located in Busan, Korea. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson correlation, and Multiple regression. Results: Retention intention correlated positively with sense of calling (r=.43, p<.001), job satisfaction (r=.31, p<.001) and organizational commitment (r=.31, p<.001). Factors affecting the participants' retention intention were found to be statistically significant (F=21.96, p<.001). Total factor score accounted for 24.1% of retention intention. Out of the related factors, the most influential factor was 'goals/meaning', belonging to the sub-areas of the sense of calling and explaining 18.2% of retention intention, followed by organizational commitment and average monthly income in that order. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest a need to develop a management program that helps promote retention intention for nurses at the advanced beginner-stage by both improving their monthly income and outside conditions and, more importantly, raising their sense of calling, especially in association with the goals/meaning of their life.

긍정적 탐구 활동이 신규간호사의 긍정심리자본과 조직몰입에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Appreciative Inquiry on Positive Psychological Capital and Organizational Commitment of New Nurses)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to determine whether appreciative inquiry (AI) is an effective intervention for increasing the positive psychological capital and organizational commitment of new nurses. Method : The study used a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The participants were 60 new nurses in a tertiary hospital in Seoul. The experimental group received 2 classes of AI education and in-unit AI activities. The control group received the existing education program. Results : There was no statistically significant difference in the positive psychological capital and organizational commitment between the experimental group and the control group over time. Satisfaction with the AI education scored 3.69, which was higher than the average. The reason why the experimental group members were satisfied with the program was that AI education helped them to adapt and the in-unit AI activities made staff more cooperative and the atmosphere of the unit more positive. Conclusion : When applying AI activities to new nurses to promote positive psychological capital and organizational commitment, it is necessary to provide a workshop in which the participants can fully concentrate on education and to extend the period of use to one year in order to maintain the effect of AI activities.

타 지역 거주 간호학과 신입생의 인성, 자아탄력성, 진로선택몰입이 대학 생활 적응에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Personality, Ego-resilience, and Commitment to Career Choice on the Adaptation to College among New Nursing Students from Various Regions)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the effects of personality, ego-resilience, and commitment to career choice on the adaptation to college among new nursing students residing in various regions. Methods: The participants were 175 freshmen in nursing departments at 7 universities located in D Metropolitan city. Data were collected through an online questionnaire from June 20, 2022 to July 1, 2022. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS/WIN 28.0 software. Results: The average scores of participants were as follows: personality (4.10±0.41), ego-resilience (3.55±0.62), commitment to career choice (3.36±0.59), and adaptation to college (3.63±0.58). The factors influencing college adaptation were ego-resilience, personality, satisfaction with nursing major, and commitment to career choice. The combined explanatory power of these variables for college adaptation was 64.8%. Conclusion: This study highlights the necessity for developing educational programs, training initiatives, and curricular activities to enhance ego-resilience, foster appropriate personality, increase satisfaction with nursing major, and improve commitment to career choice levels among new nursing students residing in various regions.

간호사의 경력관리, 경력정체, 경력만족이 경력몰입에 미치는 영향에 관한 구조모형 (The Structural Model about Impact of Nurse's Career Management, Career Plateau, Career Satisfaction on Career Commitment)

  • Purpose: This study was designed to construct a model which explains the career management, career plateau and career satisfaction of the factors influencing the career commitment of nurses. Method: The data collection was conducted from Aug. 24, 2009 to Sep. 22, 2009 through self-reported questionaries. Participants were 441 nurses who had worked in 2 national university hospitals, 1 university hospitals, and 1 hospitals founded by business enterprises. The data was analyzed by SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 15.0 for structural model. Results: Career commitment was directly impacted by career management, career plateau, career satisfaction. The predictable variables of the hypothetical model explained 28.4% of career commitment. Career commitment was significantly influenced by career management, career plateau, career satisfaction. Conclusion: The results of study suggest that some strategies are needed which focus on career management, career plateau and career satisfaction in order to promote the nurse's career commitment.
