GENERATION OF RAY CLASS FIELDS MODULO 2, 3, 4 OR 6 BY USING THE WEBER FUNCTION

  • Let K be an imaginary quadratic field with ring of integers ${\mathcal{O}}_K$. Let E be an elliptic curve with complex multiplication by ${\mathcal{O}}_K$, and let $h_E$ be the Weber function on E. Let $N{\in}\{2,3,4,6\}$. We show that $h_E$ alone when evaluated at a certain N-torsion point on E generates the ray class field of K modulo $N{\mathcal{O}}_K$. This would be a partial answer to the question raised by Hasse and Ramachandra.

  • This paper describes several reliability models to estimate COMS ground segment availability and shows assessed availability according to GS function. Due to a back-up concept among three ground center, SOC will have all H/W and S/W module to be installed in MSC and KOSC site. Therefore, all configurations and availability parameters for H/W and S/W modules in MSC and KOSC are assumed as equal with those in SOC, if related modules have same function. Prior to access availability over COMS GS function, Availability related to fundamental configuration such as series, parallel, partial operation, and module combined H/W and S/W is described. Consequently, all functions are expected to operate with more than 99% of availability.

Active Random Noise Control using Adaptive Learning Rate Neural Networks

  • In this paper an active random noise control using adaptive learning rate neural networks is presented. The adaptive learning rate strategy increases the learning rate by a small constant if the current partial derivative of the objective function with respect to the weight and the exponential average of the previous derivatives have the same sign, otherwise the learning rate is decreased by a proportion of its value. The use of an adaptive learning rate attempts to keep the learning step size as large as possible without leading to oscillation. It is expected that a cost function minimize rapidly and training time is decreased. Numerical simulations and experiments of active random noise control with the transfer function of the error path will be performed, to validate the convergence properties of the adaptive learning rate Neural Networks. Control results show that adaptive learning rate Neural Networks control structure can outperform linear controllers and conventional neural network controller for the active random noise control.

  • In this study, transfer path identification and output estimation are simulated by multi-dimension spectral analysis method (MDSA). Multi -input/single-output system give expression the vehicle suspension which each inputs are correlated reciprocally. In case of correlating with inputs, the system needs separating the each input signal by MDSA. Main simulations are about finding effective input by coherent output spectrum and selecting optimal input's number by multiple coherence function. Also, by shielding transfer path of each input, transfer path characteristic is identified in terms of overall integrated contribution level.

  • Forecasting and extrapolation for time dependent phenomena by using Multi layer neural network has been studied. We calculated values of a function at short intervals, and made one dimensional vector whose elements were a partial gather of the values. If there is anything same as the future of the functions exists in the fragment set, it is possible for us to have an advanced precision extrapolation. Otherwise, if the approximate function of the primitive function can be constructed by teaming the short interval in the network, the precision of extrapolation also can be well realized.

Checking the Additive Risk Model with Martingale Residuals

  • In contrast to the multiplicative risk model, the additive risk model specifies that the hazard function with covariates is the sum of, rather than product of, the baseline hazard function and the regression function of covariates. We, in this paper, propose a method for checking the adequacy of the additive risk model based on partial-sum of matingale residuals. Under the assumed model, the asymptotic properties of the proposed test statistic and approximation method to find the critical values of the limiting distribution are studied. Several real examples are illustrated.

  • Infiltration of rainfall causes railway embankment to be unstable and may result in failure. Basic relationship between the stability of railway embankment and rainfall introducing the partial saturation concept of ground are defined to analyze the stability of embankment by rainfall. A pressure plate test is also peformed to obtain soil-water characteristic curve of unsaturated soils. Based on this curve, the variables in the shear strength function and permeability function are also defined. These functions are used fur the numerical model for evaluation of railway embankments under rainfall. As comparing the model and case studies, the variation of shear strength, the degree of saturation and pore-water pressure for railway embankment during rainfall can be predicted and the safety factor of railway embankment can be expressed as the function of rainfall amount namely rainfall index. Therefore, the research on safety factor on railway embankment considering train speed and rainfall infiltration with the variation of rainfall intensity and rainfall duration was carried out in this paper.

  • Ad Hoc 네트워크는 단말간 채널 경쟁을 통해 데이터 패킷을 전송하는 DCF(Distributed Coordination Function)에 기반을 둔다. DCF는 단말의 수가 많아질수록 충돌 확률이 증가하여 성능이 급격하게 감소한다. 성능 향상을 위해 DPCF(Distributed Point Coordination Function) 방법이 제안되었다. 이 방법에서 단말은 기본적으로 DCF로 동작하고 채널 접근 권한을 얻었을 때 이웃 단말들에게 PCF(Point Coordination Function)를 이용하여 채널 경쟁 없이 데이터 패킷을 전송하도록 한다. 그러나 이 방법은 히든 노드 문제를 더 가중시키고 데이터 패킷이 없는 단말도 폴링을 하기 때문에 채널 낭비를 초래한다. 본 논문에서는 이 문제점을 해결하기 위한 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 PCF로 동작할 때 전송 범위 내 모든 단말이 아닌 제한된 영역에 있는 단말을 대상으로만 동작한다. 또한 데이터 패킷이 있는 단말에 대해서만 폴링을 수행한다. 이를 통해 제안된 방법은 Ad Hoc 네트워크에서 충돌 확률을 낮추고 성능을 향상시킨다.

Stochastic optimal control analysis of a piezoelectric shell subjected to stochastic boundary perturbations

  • The stochastic optimal control for a piezoelectric spherically symmetric shell subjected to stochastic boundary perturbations is constructed, analyzed and evaluated. The stochastic optimal control problem on the boundary stress output reduction of the piezoelectric shell subjected to stochastic boundary displacement perturbations is presented. The electric potential integral as a function of displacement is obtained to convert the differential equations for the piezoelectric shell with electrical and mechanical coupling into the equation only for displacement. The displacement transformation is constructed to convert the stochastic boundary conditions into homogeneous ones, and the transformed displacement is expanded in space to convert further the partial differential equation for displacement into ordinary differential equations by using the Galerkin method. Then the stochastic optimal control problem of the piezoelectric shell in partial differential equations is transformed into that of the multi-degree-of-freedom system. The optimal control law for electric potential is determined according to the stochastic dynamical programming principle. The frequency-response function matrix, power spectral density matrix and correlation function matrix of the controlled system response are derived based on the theory of random vibration. The expressions of mean-square stress, displacement and electric potential of the controlled piezoelectric shell are finally obtained to evaluate the control effectiveness. Numerical results are given to illustrate the high relative reduction in the root-mean-square boundary stress of the piezoelectric shell subjected to stochastic boundary displacement perturbations by the optimal electric potential control.

수소화 탈황 반응기 히터의 안전계장기능 신뢰도 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Reliability of Safety Instrumented Function of Hydrodesulfurization Reactor Heater)

  • International standards such as IEC-61508 and IEC-61511 require Safety Integrity Levels (SILs) for Safety Instrumented Functions (SIFs) in process industries. SIL verification is one of the methods for process safety description. Results of the SIL verification in some cases indicated that several Safety Instrumented Functions (SIFs) do not satisfy the required SIL. This results in some problems in terms of cost and risks to the industries. This study has been performed to improve the reliability of a safety instrumented function (SIF) installed in hydrodesulfurization reactor heater using Partial Stroke Testing (PST). Emergency shutdown system was chosen as an SIF in this study. SIL verification has been performed for cases chosen through the layer of protection analysis method. The probability of failure on demands (PFDs) for SIFs in fault tree analysis was $4.82{\times}10^{-3}$. As a result, the SIFs were unsuitable for the needed RRF, although they were capable of satisfying their target SIL 2. So, different PST intervals from 1 to 4 years were applied to the SIFs. It was found that the PFD of SIFs was $2.13{\times}10^{-3}$ and the RRF was 469 at the PST interval of one year, and this satisfies the RRF requirements in this case. It was also found that shorter interval of PST caused higher reliability of the SIF.
