This research explored parenting education programs for be college students and adolescent workers, and it was focused on determining whether different parenting education programs were needed for college students and adolescent workers. The participants were 254 college students in Suncheon and 135 adolescent industrial workers in Ulsan. Data were gathered via questionnaires and two-way ANOVA analyses of parenting effectiveness by sex and social status(college student, versus adolescent industrial worker), and by age and social status were performed. There were no significant differences based on sex, age, or social status, and no interaction effect. However, there were significant differences in adolescents' parenting effectiveness depending on childhood parenting experiences, parenting knowledge, and parenting education program experience. Among the predictors(sex, age, social status, childhood parenting experience, parenting knowledge, and parent education experiences) adolescents' childhood parenting experiences was the strongest variable for predicting parenting effectiveness. In this regard, the results confirmed Bronfenbrenner's Ecological System's Theory that family influences children's belief systems about parenting effectiveness in the microsystem. Furthermore, the results indicate that a different parenting education program is not needed for college students and adolescent industrial workers, respectively; instead, a more comprehensive parenting education program for all adolescents - regardless of social status is needed. And based on the present study's results, the importance of child development knowledge, and parent-child relationships in parenting education programs was also confirmed. From a broader social perspective, all adolescents are encouraged to participate in parenting education programs.

This study utilized the Giorgi's phenomenological analysis to understand the rearing experiences of the single adolescent parent. The study consisted of eight single parents living in the local community. The single parents had given birth during the ages between 16 and 24 and were currently rearing children between 6 months and 11 years of age. The results of the research consisted of 140 meanings, 34 subcategories, and 7 structure factors. The final structure factors consisted of 'onset as an escape from the unfulfilling reality', 'conflict upon unexpected choice situation', 'difficulties of starting and adapting to single adolescent parenting', 'brutal realities of at home single parenting', 'search for the best parenting role for the young parent', 'changes and growth associated with discovering one's self identity as a single parent', and 'concerns and wishes for a better life of the single adolescent parent'. Based on the results, discussions and suggestions to better understand the experiences of the single adolescent parent with anticipations for organized institutional aid and changes of the social attitude have been proposed.
Objective: This study focused on the stability and reciprocal effects between abuse and neglect by parents and adolescent depression and delinquency. We examined both parent and child effects by adopting the transactional model proposed by Sameroff (2009). Methods: Using autoregressive cross-lagged modeling, data from the $2^{nd}$ to the $4^{th}$ wave of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Study (KCYPS) were analyzed. The sample consisted of 1,982 adolescents who were $8^{th}$ graders in 2011. Data were collected at three different phases: when participants were in $8^{th}$ grade (T1), $9^{th}$ grade (T2) and $10^{th}$ grade (T3). Results: First, the effects of abuse and neglect by parents and adolescent depression and delinquency showed stability from the $8^{th}$ to the $10^{th}$ grade. Second, abuse at T1 and T2 had effects on adolescent delinquency at T2 and T3, respectively, but not on adolescent depression. In terms of child effects, abuse was influenced by adolescent depression only. Adolescent depression and delinquency had no reciprocal effects. Finally, there were reciprocal effects between neglect on one hand and adolescent depression and delinquency on the other. That is, there were child effects as well as parent effects. No significant effects were found in the reciprocal relations between adolescent depression and delinquency. Conclusion: The present study found the stability of abuse and neglect by parents and adolescent depression and delinquency. Furthermore, this study identified the child effects as well as parent effects, thus supporting the transactional model of neglect by parents and adolescent depression and delinquency.

Olson et al., and a behavior evaluation tool. The results of the study 1. The results as related to the hypothesis were as follows. Hypothesis 2: “The parent-adolescent relationship of the problem family group will be more negative and problematic than the normal family group” was supported significantly(t=4.06, p=.000). Hypothesis 3: “The family function (cohesion adaptability) of the problem family group will be lower than the normal family group" was supported significantly(t=2.20, p=.022) 2. The results of related analysis were as follows 1) Analysis of a causal relation between the couple’s relationship, the parent-adolescent relationship, family function and adolescent behavior showed that the Above 3 variables influenced adolescent behavior.. In cases where couple’s relation-ship, the parent-adolescent’s relationship, the family function are the better, their adolescent’s behavior is better. 2) Discriminant analysis of the research tool showed The discriminant ability of couple’s relationship tool was 75.57%, the Parent-Adolescent communication tool, 67.05, the family adaptability cohesion tool.67. 61%. In summary, interpersonal relationships in the family subsystems are interactive and their relation influences the behaviors. of adolescents in the family. Therefore, family therapy would be a more effective method than individual therapy, to resolve negative problem for adolscents, and the research tool used in this study are very useful for family system diagnosis and nursing intervention.

The subjects who participated in this study included 247 high school students from Gyeong-gi province. They completed questionnaires on parent-adolescent communication, ego-resilience, and stress coping styles using the cognitive appraisal model by Lazarus & Folkman(1984). Data were analyzed by t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. It was found that parent-adolescence communication as well as ego-resilience had significant effects on stress coping styles. In particular, female teenagers showed evidence that ego-resilience had complete mediation over relationships between a parent's communication styles and their stress coping styles.
