탄소/탄소 브레이크 디스크의 과도기 열탄성 해석과 3차원 응력해석 (Transient Thermoelastic Analysis and 3 Dimensional Stress Analysis of Carbon/Carbon Brake Disks)

  • This paper presents the thermoelastic analysis and 3-D failure analysis of the carbon/carbon brake disk. The mechanical properties of the carbon/carbon brake disk were measured for both in-plane and out of plane directions. The mechanical properties were used as the input of the thermoelastic analysis and 3-D stress analysis for the brake disk. The gap between rotor clip and clip retainer was an important parameter in the loading transfer mechanism of the rotor. The change of gap was considered separating the mechanical deformation and thermal deformation. Because the rotor clip and clip retainers were not contacted, the clip retainers and rivets were excluded from the rotor analysis model. The disk was modeled by using the cyclic symmetry condition and the contact problem between the rotor disk and rotor clip was considered. From the results of the 3-D stress analysis, the stress concentration at the key hole of the brake disk was confirmed.

  • In a high-speed and wide operating field optical disk drive, the vibration problem is one of the most important factors to be considered for reliable performance. And a disk misaligned with axis of rotation is a major source of vibration in optical disk drive. Furthermore, this vibration disturbance of the disk spindle system causes failure in the reading and writing process. So to solve this vibration problem, the vibration absorber using rubber mount has been introduced in recent years. In this paper, we have analyzed the simple optical disk drive model with dynamic vibration absorber through dynamic analysis of 12-dof by Recurdyn program and obtained optimal mass and frequency ratios of dynamic vibration absorber of dynamic vibration absorber and the optimal frequency ratio.

  • Equations of motion are derived and solved using the finite element method substructure synthesis for the disk-spindle system with rigid spindle and flexible shaft. The disk is modeled as a flexible spinning disk by Kirchhoff plate theory and von Karman nonlinear strain. The spindle supporting the flexible disk is modeled as a rigid body to consider its complex geometry. The stationary shaft supporting the rotating disk-spindle-bearing system is modeled by Euler beam, and the ball bearings are modeled as the stiffness matrix with 5 degrees of freedom. Developed theory is applied to analyze the vibration characteristics of a 3.5" HDD and a 2.5" HDD, respectively, and modal tests are performed to verify the simulation results. This paper shows that the developed theory can be effectively applied to the rotating disk-spindle system with the spindle of complex shape.

  • This paper describes design of equalizer chips of the read channel for high-density hard-disk drives. In order to meet increasing need of hard-disk drives, the read channel incorporates various PRML schemes. They require proper equalization to implement the efficient hardware of Viterbi decoders. This paper describes EPR-IV equalization for the read channel and a 200MHz analog FIR filter chip is presented which utilizes the sampled analog signal processing efficiently.

  • 최근 임베디드 시스템에 대한 많은 연구들이 진행 중이다. 임베디드 시스템은 점점 소형화 추세로 가고 있다. DOM(Disk On Module)저장장치는 공간에 제한이 있는 응용프로그램이나 모바일 등의 기기에 사용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 DOM(Disk On Module) 메모리를 사용하여, 리눅스 기반의 커널을 탑재하고, DOM 메모리 만으로 시스템이 구동될 수 있도록 한다. DOM(Disk On Module) 메모리의 용량 제한으로 인하여 소형 운영체제가 필수적이다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 기존의 리눅스 운영체제를 DOM 환경에 적합하도록 경량화시켜서 설계하였다. 리눅스 운영체제를 경량화한 후, DOM(Disk On module)에 부트 로더의 한 종류인 LILO를 설치하여 DOM(Disk On module)메모리 상에서 새롭게 설계된 경량 리눅스 운영체제가 일반 리눅스 운영체제처럼 부팅될 수 있게 만들어 준다. 본 논문은 일반 리눅스 PC와 성능을 비교하는 실험을 수행하였다.

  • 하드디스크에 설정되는 패스워드는 일반적으로 잘 알려지지 않았을 뿐만 아니라, 설정되면 데이터에 접근이 불가능하기 때문에 포렌식 조사를 방해하는 목적으로 사용될 수 있다. 하드디스크의 패스워드를 해제하기 위해서는 PC-3000과 같은 고가의 도구가 필요한데 이는 조직에 비용 부담을 주며, 해당 도구에 익숙지 않은 조사관에게는 조사 시 어려움을 준다. 본 논문에서는 하드디스크 패스워드를 해제하기 위해 필요한 내용을 정리하고 고가의 도구없이 하드디스크에 설정된 패스워드를 해제하는 방법들을 제안한다. 그리고 이 중 특정 제조사에 특화된 방법을 이용하여 패스워드를 획득하고 하드디스크의 잠금을 해제하는 절차를 제시한다.

충격파관을 이용한 DISK형 MHD발전기에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Disk Type MHD Generator Using a Shock Tube)

  • In MHD power generation system, enthalpy of the working gas is convened to electric power directly through expansion in generator channel. It means that electric power can be generated without a moving mechanical linkage such as turbine blades. The principle of MHD generation is based on Faraday'law of induction that eletromotive force(u$\times$B) is generated when the working gas of velocity u flows a channel in which magnetic field of strength(B) exists. In this paper, helium gas seeded with cesium is used as working gas. There are two types of generator in MHD generation; linear type faraday and disk type hall generator. Rogowski coils having the bandwidth of the 100(Hz) ~ 20(kHz) were used for measuring current flowing MHD disk channel. Optimum load resistor value of the MHD generator studied was 2.5[$\Omega$]. Disk type hall generator's generation performance is the main target of this paper, which superiors to linear type Faraday generator in many points. Isentropic efficiency and enthalpy extraction rate of disk type shock tube driven hall generator is discussed here.

  • In this paper, a pole assignment problem in the unit disk for a linear discrete system is discussed. The analysis is based on the Luenberger's canonical form and Gershgorin's disk. The proposed method for pole assignment is convenient for a linear time invariant discrete system.

  • Optical disk drives read information by replacing a laser beam on the disk track. As information has become larger, the more accurate position control of a laser beam is necessary. In this paper, we report the analysis and fabrication of the micro mirror for optical disk drivers. The mirror was fabricated by using MEMS technology and it's characteristics investigated. Also, electrode structure for reducing squeeze effect was discussed.

  • The purpose of this paper is to consider the disk failure phenomenon based on the second kind Fredholm integral equation and numerical inversion of Laplace transform when the head hit disk asperities at HDI under antiplane impact loading. The model for analysis is a two layeered half-space with a circumferential surface edge crack. The optimum design parameters to reduce the disk failure due to impact are presented
