전도성 고분자를 이용한 알루미늄 고체 전해 커패시터의 제조방법 (The method for manufacturing a aluminum solid electrolytic capacitor using a conducting polymer)

  • This study relates to a method for manufacturing a solid electrolytic capacitor using a functional polymer composition. The method comprises immersing the rolled aluminum electrolytic capacitor device in polyaniline solution with high electric conductivity to impregnate the device with polyaniline, drying the impregnated device in a drying oven which is maintained at constant temperature to fully remove the solvent, inserting the dried device to a capacitor aluminum can and then sealing with epoxy resin, to manufacture a solid electrolytic capacitor using a conducting polymer. As such, the impregnation can be performed well at not only normal temperature and pressure, but also high temperature and reduced pressure. The solid electrolytic capacitor has the advantages of high capacity, low impedance and low ESR, and also, low manufacturing cost, simple processes and high reliability.

조피볼락의 사료원으로 갈색거저리의 영양적 가치 및 소화율 평가 (Nutritional Value and Digestibility of Tenebrio molitor As a Feed Ingredient for Rockfish (Sebastes schlegeli))

  • Tenebrio molitor larvae, also known as yellow mealworms (MW), are rich in protein and lipid and can serve as a potential alternative protein and energy source in commercial aquafeeds. Therefore, this study attempts to evaluate the effects of different drying methods on the nutritional value of MW meal. For this, live MW were cold-anaesthetized before being subjected to three different types of drying methods, including freeze-drying, oven-drying at $60^{\circ}C$ and air-drying at room temperature for three days, and compared for proximate composition and energy content. An in-vivo digestibility test was then conducted to evaluate the nutrient digestibility of MW meal in diets for rockfish, Sebastes schlegeli. A test diet was prepared by mixing the MW meal with a reference diet (Ref) in a 30:70 ratio with chromium oxide as an inert marker at the inclusion level of 0.5%. Rockfish with mean body weight of 150 g were stocked into a fecal collection system equipped with fiberglass tanks of 400 L capacity. Each group of fish was fed one of the experimental diets to apparent satiation for 4 weeks. The results of the proximate analysis showed that drying methods had no significant effect on crude protein, crude lipid, ash and energy contents of MW. Despite being a rich source of protein and lipid, MW meal was deficient in certain amino acids, particularly methionine, and highly unsaturated fatty acids, particularly 22:6n-3 (DHA) and 20:5n-3 (EPA). MW meal showed high digestibility values for protein (93%), lipid (97%) and energy (88%). These results may indicate that MW meal is a nutritious and acceptable feed ingredient, with comparable digestibility values to conventional animal and plant feedstuffs such as fish meal and soybean meal, in practical diet for rockfish at grower stage.

  • Background: The purpose of improving the quality of oriental medicinal herbs is to contribute to the improvement of the income of farm. The present study investigated the effect of reasonable drying methods, different storage conditions and packageing materials on quality and stability of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi and for developing GAP (good agricultural practice) guide book. Methods and Results: Three methods of drying Scutellaria baicalensis roots produced over two years were used to estimate loss rate owing to drying, storage, and packaging. The methods of drying were categorized into natural drying (36 - 60 h by sunshine), drying with heat dryer (2 - 10 h), or drying with gas bulk dryer (2 - 10 h). After cleaning, and initial drying for a few days under controlled temperature conditions, the second phase of drying was carried out at 35, 45 and $55^{\circ}C$. Changes in hunter color values and quality under the two studied storage treatments (at $20^{\circ}C$ indoors and at $4^{\circ}C$ in a refigerator) were evaluated. Storage period for 60, 120, and 180 days in three packaging materials, PE (polyethylene package), PP (polypropylene gunnysack), and WP (watertight packing paper) were studied. Conclusions: Initial cleaning, reasonable gas drying and hot air drying, and drying in an oven at 35 and $45^{\circ}C$ after cutting the roots resulted in the lowest loss rates in S. Baicalensis root. Hunter color valuse indicated that stroage of dry roots at room temperature was better than PP packaging, and that cold stroage was better than PE packaging for long-term stability.

고속 액체크로마토그래피에 의한 고추중의 신미성분 분석 (Analysis of Pungent Principles of Capsicum Fruit by HPLC)

  • 고속 액체크로마토그래피를 이용하여 고추 중의 주요 신미성분인 Capsaicin 및 Dihydrocapsaicin을 분석하기 위한 최적 조건을 검토하고 고추의 품종, 재배지역 및 건조 방법에 따른 함량의 차이를 비교 검토하였다. 시료중의 Capsaicin 및 Dihydrocapsaicin을 70% ethanol, $60^{\circ}C$에서 1시간 동안 처리함으로써 효과적으로 추출할 수 있었으며 재현성 및 회수율시험 결과 분석데이타의 해석은 피이크의 면적을 기준으로 하는 것이 바람직함을 알수 있었다. 고추의 품종, 재배지역 및 건조 방법에 따라 함량의 차이가 큰 것으로 나타났으며 특히 건조방법에 의한 차이가 더욱 현저하여 태양건조의 경우가 기계건조의 경우에 비하여 capsaicin의 경우는 최고 80%, dihydrocapsaicin의 경우는 최고 60% 정도 높게 나타났다.

  • 에나멜 도장장치의 건조 과정에서는 유해한 VU가 다량 배출된다. 이 VOC 가스는 촉매연소를 통해 완전 소각될 수 있으며, 소각되는 과정에서 발생된 열은 공정에 다시 사용할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 기술적 특성을 이용하여 환경개선과 에너지 절감 효과가 뛰어난 에나멜 도장장치를 개발하였다. 이를 위한 기초 연구로서 촉매의 VOC 가스에 대한 연소 특성 및 성능 평가와 수치해석이 수행되었다. 연구 결과에 의하면, 고온에서 VOC에 대한 금속 촉매 폼의 성능은 우수한 것으로 나타났으며, 건조 과정이 효율적으로 진행되기 위해서는 재 순환 가스 공급량 및 건조 가스 흡입량의 정밀한 조절이 가능한 구조로 설계되어져야 함을 보여 주었다.

자망어구용 코팅발돌의 개발 (A Development of the Coated Lead Sinker for Gill-net)

  • The ceramic contained paint was made to replace the lead sinker for gill-net with coated lead sinker. The ceramic contained paints were coated in various conditions on the lead sinker with 19g of weight and the optimal coating condition was studied. The adaptability of the coated lead sinker was checked through the anti durability test and fishing operation with gill-net. The case of "Main material 70 wt% + Urethane thinner 30 wt% (Main material 700 $m{\ell}$ + Thinner 300 $m{\ell}$)" showed the best in the coating characteristics depending on the combination ratio of the ceramic paint contained. The coated lead sinker dried at $100^{\circ}C$ inside oven was superior to the drying in the room temperature in its surface glossiness and anti durability and faster drying time than the one dried in normal temperature. The quadruple layers of coating on lead sinker with 4 times of dipping and drying application showed the super anti durability in the coating characteristics depending on the frequency of dipping. When press is applied to the coated lead sinker, the coated layer is not detached from the sinker. In addition, the coated lead sinker was not damaged or peeled at the fishing operation about 2 months in various depths within 50m and by the materials at the bottom (sand, stone and gravel stone) and it was in good condition.

벼의 건조온도가 미질과 식미에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Drying Temperature of Rough Rice on Grain and Eating Quality)

  • 본 연구는 건조온도 및 방법이 미곡의 품질에 미치는 영향을 검토하는 한편 추천온도 이상으로 고온건조되어 정조의 품질이 변화된 것들을 육안감정할 수 있는 방법을 찾아내고자 시도하였다. 농산물검사소에서 수집한 추청벼, 봉광벼, 화성벼를 공시하여 초기수분함량이 약 20%인 시료를 천일건조와 건조기의 온도 43, 60, 70, 8$0^{\circ}C$에서 수분함량 약 15%까지. 8$0^{\circ}C$의 경우에는 12.5%까지 과건조하여 미곡의 품위와 관련된 쌀의 외관 및 발아율을 조사하였고, 밥의 식미검정을 실시하여 건조온도에 따른 미곡의 품질 차이를 검토하였다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다 1. 제현율은 건조온도가 높을수록 감소하였으며, 특히 8$0^{\circ}C$ 이상에서 현저히 감소하였고, 정백율은 화성벼가 추청과 봉광에 비해 낮은 경향이었으며 건조온도별로 유의한 차이는 있었으나 그 값은 8$0^{\circ}C$ 건조조건에서도 차이가 적었다 2 동할미 및 쇄미의 비율은 추청, 화성, 봉광벼 순으로 적었고, 피할립, 사미 및 착색미 비율이 10%미만(농산물검사기준의 현미 1등품기준) 인 건조조건은 천 일 건조와 43$^{\circ}C$건조였으며, 20%미만 (2등품기준)인 경우는 천일건조, 43$^{\circ}C$건조. 6$0^{\circ}C$건조에서였다. 한편 백미의 쇄미율이 정부관리쌀 기준인 5%이하에 적합한 건조조건은 천일건조와, 43$^{\circ}C$건조였다. 3. 발아율은 정상발아검정과 저온검정 모두에서 봉광. 추청, 화성벼 순으로 높았으며, 43$^{\circ}C$ 건조조건과 천일건조와는 큰 차이는 없었으나 이보다 높은 건조온도조건에서의 발아율은 현저히 감소하였다. 4. 현미의 백도는 추청, 봉광, 화성벼 순으로 높았으며 건조온도가 높을수록 증가하였다. 백미의 경우에는 봉광벼가 추청벼와 화성벼보다 높았으며, 8$0^{\circ}C$ 건조조건에서 유의하게 낮았다. 5 밥의 종합식미는 세품종 모두 기준인 천일건조 쌀보다 화력건조한 쌀의 평가치가 낮았으며 건조온도가 높을수록 낮았다. 6. 미곡의 품질은 현행 수분함량 측정과 기행하여 육안감정으로 동할미 및 쇄미 비율을 평가하는 것이 타당할 것으로 판단되었다.

Genetic Analysis of Pod Dehiscence in Soybean

  • Pod dehiscence (PD), defined as the opening of pods along both the dorsal and ventral sutures, causes the seed to shatter in the field before harvesting and results in loss of seed yields. However, breeding for resistance to PD is difficult due to the complicated genetic behavior and environmental interaction. The objective of the present research was to analyze the genetic behavior of PD for improving the breeding efficiency of resistance to PD in soybean. PD after oven-drying the sampled pod at $40^{\circ}C$ for 24 hours was the most reliable to predict the degree of PD tested in the field. Keunolkong, a dehiscent parent, was crossed with non-dehiscent parents, Sinpaldalkong and Iksan 10. Using their $F_1\;and\;F_2$ seeds, PD was measured after oven drying the pod at $40^{\circ}C$ for 24 hours. The gene conferring PD behaved in different manners depending on the genetic populations. In the Keunolkong$\times$Sinpaldalkong population, PD seemed to be governed by single major recessive gene and minor genes, while several genes were probably involved in the resistance to pod dehiscence in the Keunolkong$\times$Iksan 10 population. Heritability for PD estimated in F2 population showed over $90\%$ in the two populations. High heritability of PD indicated that selection for resistance to PD should be effective in a breeding program. In addition, genetic mapping of quantitative locus (QTL) for PD in both populations may reveal that genes conferring PD are population-specific.

Chemical Composition of Aromas and Lipophilic Extracts from Black Morel (Morchella importuna) Grown in China

  • Morels (Morchella spp.) are valuable medicinal and edible mushrooms. In this study, chemical profiles of aromas and lipophilic extracts of black morel (Morchella importuna) grown in China were analyzed by gas chromatography/mass spectroscopy, along with the evaluation of antioxidant and antimicrobial activities for the lipophilic extracts. Sixty-five compounds in total were identified from the aromas, and 1-octen-3-ol was the main component for aromas of fresh (34.40%) and freeze-dried (68.61%) black morels, while the most abundant compound for the aroma of the oven-dried sample was 2(5H)-furanone (13.95%). From the lipophilic extracts, 29 compounds were identified with linoleic acid as the main compound for fresh (77.37%) and freeze-dried (56.46%) black morels and steroids (92.41%) as the main constituent for an oven-dried sample. All three lipophilic extracts showed moderate antioxidant activities against 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl and 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) with the IC50 values ranging 7.56~17.52 mg/mL and 5.75~9.73 mg/mL, respectively, and no obvious antimicrobial activity was observed for lipophilic extracts. The drying methods affect the chemical profile of black morel, and freeze-drying was favorable for retaining nutrients and morel smell. This is the first report on the aroma and lipophilic extracts of M. importuna grown in China.

Optimization of Extraction Conditions for the 6-Shogaol-rich Extract from Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe)

  • 6-Shogaol, a dehydrated form of 6-gingerol, is a minor component in ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) and has recently been reported to have more potent bioactivity than 6-gingerol. Based on the thermal instability of gingerols (their dehydration to corresponding shogaols at high temperature), we aimed to develop an optimal process to maximize the 6-shogaol content during ginger extraction by modulating temperature and pH. Fresh gingers were dried under various conditions: freeze-, room temperature (RT)- or convection oven-drying at 60 or $80^{\circ}C$, and extracted by 95% ethanol at RT, 60 or $80^{\circ}C$. The content of 6-shogaol was augmented by increasing both drying and extraction temperatures. The highest production of 6-shogaol was achieved at $80^{\circ}C$ extraction after drying at the same temperature and the content of 6-shogaol was about 7-fold compared to the lowest producing process by freezing and extraction at RT. Adjustment of pH (pH 1, 4, 7 and 10) for the 6-shogaol-richest extract (dried and extracted both at $80^{\circ}C$) also affected the chemical composition of ginger and the yield of 6-shogaol was maximized at the most acidic condition of pH 1. Taken together, the current study shows for the first time that a maximized production of 6-shogaol can be achieved during practical drying and extraction process of ginger by increasing both drying and extracting temperatures. Adjustment of pH to extraction solvent with strong acid also helps increase the production of 6-shogaol. Our data could be usefully employed in the fields of food processing as well as nutraceutical industry.
