본 연구에서는 다양한 Open API를 이용한 매쉬업 검색서비스를 통해 한의 분야의 약재 정보를 검색하는 약재 검색 매쉬업 시스템을 구축하였다. 특히 본 논문에서는 일반적인 Open API외에도 현재 서비스되고 있는 한의 분야의 논문과 연구개발과제 서비스에 대한 2개의 Open API를 개발하고 공개하여 전문적인 지식을 쉽게 공유하고 검색할 수 있도록 하였다. 한의 분야의 약재 정보는 다른 분야와는 다르게 정보의 출전이 어디냐에 따라 다양한 이름과 설명들을 가지기 때문에 일반적인 검색 방법과 같이 한 두 개의 검색어를 이용해서는 원하는 검색 결과를 얻기 힘들다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 기존에 한의 약재 100건의 정보를 온톨로지로 구축한 약재 온톨로지를 이용해서 검색어를 확장하고 이를 여러 Open API를 통해 검색하는 시스템을 구축함으로써 정확하고 포괄적인 검색이 이루어질 수 있도록 하였다.

Purpose: The purpose of this case study is to report the effect of just oriental treatments to the breast cancer. Methods: A 37-year-old woman had breast cancer of stage II according AJCC staging system, but she dosen't want be operated for a tumor. So, she was treated with herbal medicine, acuputure, moxa, patch made from herb medicine and depletion for four weeks. In herbal theraphy sihosogansan and saengmaksan. The patch made from herb medicine is put on the skin of the cancer. Depletion is done on the breast cancer, too. In acuputure theraphy, Sojangjeonggyeok(小腸正格) was used. In Moxa theraphy Chungwan, Kwanwon were used. Results: After oriental medicine for 27 days, she was on the mend about the size, complexion, solidity and pain of the breast cancer. Conclusion: This study shows that breast cancer is improved if only oriental treatments. But after this, further approach and studys on the breast cancer.

1. Purpose : Clinically I have studied efficacy of herb treatment and development of herb growth palpation about handicapped children for growth. 2. Methods : 165 patients who visited hospital from January, 2000 to January 2001 3. Results : Average growth of children who visited hospital was less than 4cm but boys have grown 9.8cm/year and girls grown 7.8cm/year at average after treatment by herb. 4. Conclusion : In case of decreasing growth to have get less growth hormone, it has confirmed positive effectiveness by herb treatment even if it is normal.

This patient has been acute hepatic injured three times(2005.11.14-11.30, 2006.2.25-3.8, 2006.3.21-4.10) while he hadn't taken herb medicine or anything special. During these periods, his liver function tests showed a sharp elevation of AST, ALT and ALP level. The 1st period by western medication and herb medicine mixed and the 2nd, the 3rd by herb medicine only, he'd been treated. Each of it got significant results in short haul. It maybe means that herb medicine is not dangerous even for the acute hepatic injured person, moreover it can be more effective in comparison with western treatment.

Objetcives : Cancer cachexia is a common syndrome in advanced cancer patients, which is characterized by profound changes in protein, fat and carbohydrate metabolism, resulting in anorexia, weight loss, muscle wasting and poor performance status. We studied the journals of Chinese herb medicine about cancer cachexia and reported the results. Methods : This study attempted to analyze the contents of the research papers concerning the treatment of cancer cachexia presented in the journals of Chinese medicine published in China over the period between 2000 and 2009. Results & Conclusions : The principles for medical treatment were invigorating Ki(益氣), invigorating the spleen(健脾), regulating the stomach(和胃), nourishing the blood(養血), nourishing Eum(補陰), promoting the circulation of Ki(行氣), removing the phlegm(化痰), removing blood stasis(祛瘀) etc. The used herbs were Poria(茯笭), Astragali Radix(黃芪), Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma(白朮), Codonopsis Pilosulae Radix(黨蔘), Dioscoreae Rhizoma(山藥), Citri Pericarpium(陳皮), Angelicae Gigantis Radix(當歸), Coicis Pemen(薏苡仁), Paeoniae Radix Alba(白芍藥) etc. The effetcive rate of treatment with Chinese herb medicine group was comparable or even more effetcive. Chinese herb medicine group had little side effetcs. Chinese medicine herb treatment to inhibit cancer cachexia has many possibilities.

Objectives: This study was designed to assess neuroprotective effects of herb medicine against Alzhheimer's disease related brain damage in organotypic hippocampal slice culture. Methods: We induced dementia related brain damage in organotypic hippocampal slices by $\beta$-amyloid. Those slices were treated with herb medicines - Hwangryeonhaedoktang, Sopungsoongiwon. Using by PI staining, the extents of cell death were assessed. After that, we selected the best effective one among those herb medicines and the major components of that medicine were studied to reveal neuroprotective effects and related proteins by using PI stating. Results: In PI staining, Sopungsoongiwon is the best effective herb medicine between Hwangryeonhaedoktang and Sopungsoongiwon. Notopterygii Rhizoma, Corni Fructus, Areca Catechu, Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, Plantaginis Semen is the best effective one among the components of Sopungsoongiwon. Conclusions: We suggested that purgative effect would be the best effetive medicine on dementia related brain damage between clearing heat and toxic materials.

Objectives : Chronic prostatitis is a common disease among adult men, yet it is very difficult to diagnosis and treat. This study was designed to evaluate the clinical effects of herb medicine, acupuncture, and herbal acupuncture therapy on chronic prostatitis. Methods : We investigated 15 chronic prostatitis patients with NIH-CPSI (National Institutes of Health Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index). They were treated with herb medicine, acupuncture, and herbal acupuncture therapy. Results : After the treatment, NIH-CPSI decreased significantly. As the period of treatment for prostatitis was longer, the cure rate was higher respectively. Conclusions : These findings suggest that oriental medical treatment for chronic prostatitis may promote medical cure.

According to the Medical Product Safety Administration Guidelines for safety assessment guinea pigs, mice and rats were used for antigenicity test, rabbits for pyrogenic test and hymolytic test. The results were summarized as follows; 1. The antigenicity test of Red-ginseng radix extract solution for herb-acupuncture did not show any anaphylatic shock but produced IgE in high dose group. 2. The result of the pyrogen test of Red-ginseng radix extract solution for herb-acupuncture was negative. 3. The result of the hemolytic test of Red-ginseng radix extract solution for herb-acupuncture were negative in low and middle dose group but was positive in high dose group.

Purpose : This study was undertaken to evaluate the effects of the different administration duration of Epimedium Herb extract solution on the spermatogenic abilities such as concentration, motility and morphological normality of sperm from the testis and the activities of sperm hyaluronidase. Methods : We used the 2-month-old mice and administered the extract solution of Epimedium Herb 0.3 ml/g/day for 30, 60, 90 and 120 days. The control group was administered the normal saline as the same way. We examined the number of total, motile and normal sperm from the cauda epididymis, the activities of sperm hyaluronidase. Also we observed changes of isolated testis before and after administration of Epimedium Herb extract solutions in the mice. And we compared the testicular tissue especially seminiferous tubules with the control and treated group by histochemical methods. Results : The significant differences were observed in the concentration of total sperm and normality of spermatozoa of the Epimedium Herb extract solution administered groups compared to the control group in 60, 90 and 120 days groups. The significant differences were observed the motility of the Epimedium Herb extract solution administered groups compared to the control group in 60 days group. In the histological analysis of the testicular tissues, the enlargement of testicular lobe diameter and apparent vasculogenesis between testicular lobes were observed in the Epimedium Herb extract solution administered groups compared to the control group, respectively. And the activity of hyaluronidase was significantly increased in the Epimedium Herb extract solution administered groups compared to the control group. Conclusion : This study shows that Epimedium Herb has the beneficial effect on the concentration, morphology and motility of sperm, the testicular tissues and the activities of sperm hyaluronidse in 60 days administration group. We can suggest that Epimedium Herb extract solution be useful for the treatment of male sexual dysfunction and infertility.

The purpose of this research was to investigate the inhibitory function among foods and herb drugs. I have gone over literatures of mainly ${\ll}$Eum-Sun-Jung-Yo(飮膳正要)${\gg}$ on the basis of ${\ll}$Dong-Eui-Bo-Gam (東醫寶鑑)${\gg}$ about the properties and flavors of foods and herb drugs. And then I came to get some conclusion as follows. 1. The foods mentioned above are meats, birds, fishes, spices and vegetables. 2. If the foods mentioned above were eaten for a long time, and then it can cause stirring Wind or Qi or Fire inside the body. 3. What it means in the context of the chapter ${\ulcorner}$Sik-Mul-Sang-Ban : Inhibitory Function Among Foods and Herb Drugs(食物相反)${\lrcorner}$ that 'Do not eat the paired foods or herb drugs at a same time' and 'Do not eat the paired foods or herb drugs together for a long time.' 4. The Cold natured foods were not eaten at a same time. 5. The Hot or Warm natured foods were not eaten at a same time. 6. The contrary natured foods were not eaten at a same time. Because they were eaten at a same time, it raise a Occurrence of Cold and Heat syndromes and a Qi disorder.
