This study aims to examine OL as a potential mediating variable in the relationship between IT and organizational performance. Organizational learning (OL) has been proposed as the mechanism to accomplish this task. Existing empirical research demonstrates that OL may indeed act as a mediator for the effect of IT on organizational outcomes. Also, existing literature discusses the use of technology in the organization, and the case for OL as the key knowledge process, and the intersection between technology and OL as a knowledge-based means for improving organizational performance. Many studies use a descriptive measure of OL despite the theory suggesting that a normative measure may be more appropriate. This study aims to address these concerns in a setting by using structural equation modelling (SEM) to compare the effectiveness of descriptive and normative measures of OL as mediating variables in knowledge-intensive organizations. Survey results support OL as a mediator between IT and organizational performance in addition to normative measures of OL outperforming descriptive measures. Implications for research and practice are discussed. To test the model, we will apply (SEM) structural equation modeling in the analysis of a moment structures (AMOS) on the empirical evidence collected from 218 Pakistani CEOs and top managers.
This study explores how an organization has successfully implemented ML-supported HR services to resolve high employee turnover problems in the IT sector. The empirical setting of the research is where contradicting institutional logics exist among technical, HR, and business groups regarding the ML model development and use of the model predictions in HR services. Institutional framework is used to identify the roles of organizational actors and the legitimacy structures in the organizational environments that can shape or constrain the ML led organizational changes. In institutional theories, technology adoption and organizational change are not only constrained by organizational context, but also fostered through organizational actors' roles and efforts to increase the legitimacy for the change. This research found that when multiple contradicting institutional logics exist, legitimizing the establishment of an enabling environment for multiple logics to reconcile and for the project to move forward is critical. Industry-wide conditions, previous experiences with the pilot ML project, forming a TFT with clearly defined roles and responsibilities, and relevant KPIs are found to legitimize the HR team and the business division to collaborate with the technical personnel to launch ML-supported HR services.
Management is under constant pressures to achieve competitiveness in production in most manufacturing companies. The adoption of management techniques(MT) such as TQM, MRP, ERP and so on has been a logical response for better performance to many companies. Besides, these companies commonly adopt a number of such techniques with high expectation for performance improvement. However, expected improvement in performance is not guaranteed unless necessary ingredients exist for those techniques. Many research studies have focused on the nature of successful adoption of management techniques in the past. However, most studies have been related to a single technique and its effects. When more than one techniques are in use in a company, focusing on a single technique limits the value of analysis. This paper focuses the value of MTs adopted in a company in multiplicity and compares the relative characteristics of MTs one another. Especially, the purpose of this paper is to examine the comparative nature of MTs adopted In manufacturing companies and the elements of MT success in relationship with information systems and organizational adjustment for adoption of MTs. The result of the analysis shows that the more efforts are exhorted for the adjustment of information systems and organizational structures to accommodate the MTs, the more success from the adopted techniques results. However, the extent of adjustment for different management techniques differs one another due to the nature of each technique. With regard to the comparative impact of adjustment of information systems and that of organizational structures, the result shows that the latter has more direct and greater impact than the former.
Government intervention, industry cooperation, new vendors, and foreign competition are all factors that exert a powerful influence on the information technology, marketplace, and on the individual IS organization. When these influences need to change an organization, it is likely the culture or identity of the organization will be targeted for change. Because an organization is also composed of cognitive frameworks, there is an implication that the existing cognitive structures are in jeopardy. Thus, the cognitive component is important in how all members of organizations react and respond to change. This paper defines cognitive process and its related research history, introduces organizational change matters, tries to solve conflicts in organizational changes, and applies this topic to the information systems field.

The UAV industry grows rapidly and the civil UAV market which preparing the commercial services is expected to accelerate the growth. The new opportunities from the technological progress and deregulation show two kinds of organizational structure in the UAV industry. The companies from the traditional aircraft industry and the other sectors like IT industry have different organizational structures of the value chains, supply chains and the regulatory policies which related with them. And from the isomorphism theory it is predicted that those structures will change and converge to certain similar homogeneous features as the UAV industry matures. The matured form will be resulted by the new regulatory policies about the airspace, certifications and the operation rules about the UAV and the future market size and growth speed are also affected by them.
