전산모형과 지리정보시스템을 결합한 Web 기반의 유역 및 하수도 관리시스템의 개발 (Development of Web based Watershed and Sewer Management System using Computational Model and GIS)

  • A web based watershed and sewer management system was developed for the analysis of stormwater runoff and sewer flow, and for optimal operation of sewer works using ArcView and SWMM. SWMM and ArcView were dynamically linked together using Avenue and Visual Basic in order to construct user-friendly management system. The developed system was applied to Choonchun city to verify its utilities. All the relevant field data were analyzed on the basis of developed system, and the modeling of runoff and sewer flow was implemented using RUNOFF and TRANSPORT blocks in SWMM. This system was connected to the management system of surface and subsurface environment management system in order to develop an integrated environmental management system. Futhermore, this system will be a critical part of overall control system of sewer works including sewer line and wastewater treatment plant. As this system can provide comprehensive prediction of flow and pollution profiles and analytical tool equipped with Web-GIS, it could serve widely as a tool not only for optimal management, but also for decision support system to examine the efficiency of planning and implementation of sewer projects.

  • Web based integrated sewer management system was developed for the analysis of sewer flow and for the optimal operation of sewer works using ArcView and SWMM. SWMM and ArcView were dynamically linked together using Avenue in order to construct user-friendly information management system. The developed system was applied to the residential area in Choonchun city to verify its utilities. All the relevant field data were analyzed on the basis of the developed system, and the modeling of sewer flow was implemented using RUNOFF, EXTRAN, TRANSPORT in SWMM. This system is now in the process of connection to the management system of stormwater, surface and subsurface environment in order to develop an integrated environmental management system. Futhermore, this system will be a critical part of overall control system of sewer works including sewer network and wastewater treatment plant. As this system can provide comprehensive prediction of flow and pollution profiles, it could serve as a tool not only for the optimal management, but also for the decision support system to examine the efficiency of planning and implementation of sewer projects.

An Optimal Installation Strategy for Allocating Energy Storage Systems and Probabilistic-Based Distributed Generation in Active Distribution Networks

  • Recently, owing to increased interest in low-carbon energy supplies, renewable energy sources such as photovoltaics and wind turbines in distribution networks have received considerable attention for generating clean and unlimited energy. The presence of energy storage systems (ESSs) in the promising field of active distribution networks (ADNs) would have direct impact on power system problems such as encountered in probabilistic distributed generation (DG) model studies. Hence, the optimal procedure is offered herein, in which the simultaneous placement of an ESS, photovoltaic-based DG, and wind turbine-based DG in an ADN is taken into account. The main goal of this paper is to maximize the net present value of the loss reduction benefit by considering the price of electricity for each load state. The proposed framework consists of a scenario tree method for covering the existing uncertainties in the distribution network's load demand as well as DG. The collected results verify the considerable effect of concurrent installation of probabilistic DG models and an ESS in defining the optimum site of DG and the ESS and they demonstrate that the optimum operation of an ESS in the ADN is consequently related to the highest value of the loss reduction benefit in long-term planning as well. The results obtained are encouraging.

재실자 방해 최소화를 위한 자동 블라인드 제어 방안 (Automated Blind Control Strategy to Minimize Occupant's Distractions)

  • Blinds are a common type of shading device and are increasingly operated automatically to overcome the limitations of manual operation. Automated blinds need to be controlled to maximize benefits of daylight in the point of occupant comfort and energy consumption. However, the previous control methods could cause occupant's distractions by the undesirable control time interval and amount of blind movement. A few researches suggested the control concept for minimizing occupant's distractions by automatic blind control, but they did not provide optimal control algorithm to be useful in practice. In this paper, we propose an optimal control algorithm for automated blinds that can maximize not only visual comfort but also sunlight penetration into buildings based on occupants' preferences on blind movement and sunlight. The proposed control algorithm can prevent solar glare on workplane and minimize occupant's distractions to maximize occupants' visual comfort.

국내 배편계통의 최적 연계(안) (The Optimal Number of Dividing and Connecting Per Feeder in Korea Distribution System)

  • Occasionally, equipment in a distribution system fails due to damage from weather, vandalism, or other causes. Failures and unexpected events do not always occur as and where expected. Therefore, a good contingency plan, multi-zone or otherwise, provides flexibility by locating switches at various strategic locations so that parts of a feeder can be picked up in the event of line outages at various places. It is possible to create feeder system layout that achieve remarkable contingency support economics, even as their normal peak loading levels approach thermal capacity, by utilizing six, seven, or even nine switchable zones per feeder. But many switchable zones per feeder are of questionable practicality and effectiveness, because of the complexity and time required for the switching operation. In practice, a zonal scheme with between three and four zones will usually provide complete contingency backup for all feeders. Line switches have both capital and maintenance costs, the planning for multi-zonal schemes is considerably more difficult than or loop or single-zone systems, and the required switching operations required during contingencies take more time. But multi-zonal schemes are used because these costs come to far less than the cost of additional capacity required for loop or single-zone. In this paper, we present the optimal number of switchable zones per feeder in Kora distribution system.

  • This paper presents a new approach to evaluate reliability indices of electric distribution systems using genetic algorithm(GA). The use of reliability evaluation is an important aspect of distribution system planning and operation to adjust the reliability level of each area. In this paper, the reliability model is based on the optimal load transferring problem to minimize over load generated load point outage in each sub-section. This kind of the approach is one of the most difficult procedure which becomes a combination problems. A new approach using GA Was developed for this problem. We proposed a tree search algorithm which satisfied the tree constraint. GA is general purpose optimization techniques based on principles inspired from the biological evolution such as natural selection, genetic recombination and survival of the fittest Test results for the model system with 24 nodes and 29 branches are reported in the paper.

  • 건물 에너지 커미셔닝은 건축물의 계획, 설계, 시공, 시공 후 설비의 시운전 및 유지 관리를 포함한 전 공정을 효율적으로 검증하고 문서화하여 에너지의 낭비 및 운영상의 문제점을 최소화하는 공정 기술이다. 일반적인 커미셔닝은 설계 기준에 적합한 성능을 발휘할 수 있도록 설비의 교체를 추진한다. 이는 비용이 많이 들며 투자비 회수기간이 오래 걸리는 단점을 지니고 있다. 본 논문에서는 ICT(Information Communication Technology)를 기반으로 에너지 사용 데이터 분석을 통해 설비 교체를 최소화하며 최적 운용을 통해 에너지 효율을 높이는 모니터링 기반 커미셔닝에 대해 연구하였다. 건물 에너지 사용에 대한 모델링을 수행하고 이를 기반으로 에너지 사용 데이터와 비교, 효율 저하 감지 기술을 활용하여 운용 최적화를 통한 에너지 사용 절감을 이룬다.

  • 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 NATM공법 지하철 터널에 적용하여 적절한 장비조합과 작업 시간을 산출할 수 있는 모델을 구축하는 것을 목적으로 하며, 굴착하는 터널길이 즉, 증가되는 갱내 운반거리를 모델에 반영함으로써 현실에 가까운 모델을 구축하였다. 본 연구를 통해 구축된 모델은 지하철 터널공사의 제한 조건을 고려한 합리적인 의사결정도구로 사용하고자 하며, 터널공사 중 장비운용계획에 의한 작업 효율성에 가장 영향이 크다고 판단되는 버력처리 공정을 중심으로 시뮬레이션 기법 적용의 효과를 분석한다. 시뮬레이션 적용에 의한 효과 분석은 기존 관행에 의해 수립된 공사계획의 문제점을 알아보고, 굴착에 따른 갱내 운반거리와 투입되는 덤프트럭의 수의 변화를 통해 작업시간과 장비의 효율을 알아보았다.

양식장 이용에 대한 수학적 모형 (Mathematical Model of Aquaculture Facility Utilization)

  • The range of optimization problem in aquaculture is very wide, resulting from the range of species, mode of operation. Quite a few studies focus marine net-cages, but studies on land based culture farm are few or no. This paper considers a allocation problem to meet production planning in land based aquaculture system. A water pool allocation model in land based aquaculture system was developed. The solution finds the value of decision variable to minimize yearly production costs that sums up the water pool usage cost and sorting cost. The model inputs were (1) the fish growth rate (2) critical standing corp (3) number of water pool (4) number of fish. The model outputs were (5) number of water pool in growing phase (6) cost of cultivation (6) optimal facility allocation(number of water pool for each growing phase). To solve the problem, an efficient heuristic algorithm based on a greedy manner is developed. Branch and bound and heuristic is evaluated through numerical examples.

  • In this paper, a practical methodology of hand-manipulator motion coordination for indoor service robot is introduced. This paper describes the procedures of opening door performed by service robot as a noticeable example of motion coordination. This paper presents well-structured framework for hand-manipulator motion coordination, which includes intelligent sensor data interpretation, object shape estimation, optimal grasping, on-line motion planning and behavior-based task execution. This proposed approach is focused on how to integrate the respective functions in harmony and enable the robot to complete its operation under the limitation of usable resources. As a practical example of implementation, the successful experimental results in opening door whose geometric parameters are unknown beforehand are provided.
