  • This paper presents a method of image analysis based on discrete cosine transform (DCT) and fuzzy inference(Fl). It concentrated not only on the design of fuzzy inference algorithm but also on incorporating human visual parameter(HVP) into transform coefficients. In the first, HVP such as entropy, texture degree are calculated from the coefficients matrix of DCT. Secondly, using these parameters, fuzzy input variables are generated. Mamdani's operator as well as ${\alpha}$-cut function are involved to simulate the proposed approach, and consequently, experimental results are presented to testify the performance and applicability of the proposed scheme.

  • In this paper, we prove, in the spirit of [3, 12, 20, 22, 23], the existence of infinitely many small solutions to the following quasilinear elliptic equation $-{\Delta}_{p(x)}u+{\mid}u{\mid}^{p(x)-2}u={\mid}u{\mid}^{q(x)-2}u+{\lambda}f(x,u)$ in a smooth bounded domain ${\Omega}$ of ${\mathbb{R}}^N$. We also assume that $\{q(x)=p^*(x)\}{\neq}{\emptyset}$, where $p^*(x)$ = Np(x)/(N - p(x)) is the critical Sobolev exponent for variable exponents. The proof is based on a new version of the symmetric mountainpass lemma due to Kajikiya [22], and property of these solutions are also obtained.

  • Objective: The aim of this study is developing the navigation radar display of navy ship with ecological interface design (EID) framework. Background: Navy ship radar operator must perform navigation support tasks by monitoring the complex and diverse information presented on the radar display. Current radar display is limited in effective navigation aid and response to an unusual state immediately. It is necessary to develop an effective radar display. Method: Ten navy radar operators performed a series of trials in a low-fidelity radar simulation in which they attempted to solve the problems of current navigation situation. Results: The result demonstrated that the ecological interface's performance was better than the existing radar display on performance time and subjective mental workload. Conclusion: This study expand EID study field to navy ship radar display and confirm ecological display is better than existing radar display in performance time, subjective mental work load. Application: The result of this study may help to improve navy ship navigation radar display currently in use.

  • In this paper, we propose a new post-processing method, based on the theory of the projection onto convex sets (POCS) to reduce the blocking artifacts in decoded images. We propose a new smoothness constraint set (SCS) and its projection operator in the wavelet transform (WT) domain to remove unnecessary high-frequency components caused by blocking artifacts. We also propose a new method to find and preserve the original high frequency components of the image edge. Experimental results show that the proposed method can not only achieve a significantly enhanced subjective quality, but also have the PSNR improvement in the output image.

  • Aggregate operator which belongs to query operations are important in specialized systems such as geographic information system(GIS) and spatial database system. Most of data describing objects in the real world are characterized by space and time attributes. Till now, however, works on aggregate operations have only dealt with spatial or temporal aspect of object. The current demand of aggregate operations relates to spatiotemporal data which are contained both spatial and temporal data concurrently. Therefore, work on spatiotemporal operations is focused on database area. In this paper, we propose spatiotemporal aggregate functions that operate on spatiotemporal data. Above all, we support spatiotemporal aggregate functions on the basis of three dimensional spatiotemporal models that are defined with the linear one dimensional temporal domain. The proposed algorithms are evaluated through some implementation results. We are sure that the achievement of our work is useful and efficient.

  • A successful on-line monitoring system for conventional machining operations has the potential to reduce cost, guarantee consistency of product quality, improve productivity and provide a safer environment for the operator. In fee-shape machining, typical signs of tool problems such as vibration, noise, chip flow characteristics and visual signs are almost unnoticeable without the use of special equipment. These characteristics increase the importance of automatic monitoring in fine-shape machining; however, sensing and interpretation of signals are more complex. In addition, the shafts of the micro-tools break before the typical extensive cutting edge of the tool gets damaged. In this study, the existence of a relationship between the characteristics of the cutting force and tool usage was investigated, and tool breakage detection algorithm was developed and the fellowing results are obtained. In data analysis, didn't use a relative error compare which mainly used in established experiment and investigated tool breakage detection algorithm in time domain which can detect AE and cutting force signals more effective and accurate.

  • In this paper, captured face-image was pre-processing, segmentation, and extracting features from thinning by differential operator and minute-delineation. A straight line in slope-intercept form was transformed at the $r-\theta$ domain using Hough Transform, instead of Housdorff distance are extract feature as length, rotation, displacement of lines from thinning line components by differentiation. This research proposed a new approach compare with Hough Transformation and Housdorff Distance for face recognition so that Hough transform is simple and fast processing of face recognition than processing by Housdorff Distance. Rcognition accuracy rate is that Housdorff method is higher than Hough transformation's method.

  • A time-energy transient characteristics of pulsed neutron transport problem with an inelastic kernel in the fast domain is solved exactly with a continuous energy transfer operator. A discrete time eigenvalue is found which is asymptotically dominant. The complete solution consists of three parts: a time-energy separable mode which is asymptotically dominant and a non-separable mode which is made up by two parts; a pure energy slowing-down transient and a mixture of time and energy transient which is negligible asymptotically.

  • In [4], J. Leray introduced the notion of partial hyperbolicity to characterize the operators for which the non-characteristic Cauchy problem is solvable in the Geverey class for any data which are holomorphic in a part of variables x"=(x$_{2}$,..,x$_{l}$ ) in the initial hyperplane x$_{1}$=0. A linear partial differential operator is called partially hyperbolic modulo the linear subvarieties S:x"=constant if the equation P$_{m}$(x, .zeta.$_{1}$, .xi.')=0 for .zeta.$_{1}$ has only real roots when .xi.'is real and .xi."=0, where P$_{m}$ is the principal symbol of pp. Limiting to the case of operators with constant coefficients, A. Kaneko proposed a new sharper condition when S is a hyperplane [3]. In this paper, we generalize this condition to the case of general linear subvariety S and show that it is sufficient for the solvability of Cauchy problem for the hyperfunction Cauchy data which contains variables parallel to S as holomorphic parameters.blem for the hyperfunction Cauchy data which contains variables parallel to S as holomorphic parameters.

  • It may very well be difficult to prove an eigenvalue inequality of Payne-Pólya-Weinberger type for the bi-drifting Laplacian on the bounded domain of the general complete metric measure spaces. Even though we suppose that the differential operator is bi-harmonic on the standard Euclidean sphere, this problem still remains open. However, under certain condition, a general inequality for the eigenvalues of bi-drifting Laplacian is established in this paper, which enables us to prove an eigenvalue inequality of Ashbaugh-Cheng-Ichikawa-Mametsuka type (which is also called an eigenvalue inequality of Payne-Pólya-Weinberger type) for the eigenvalues with lower order of bi-drifting Laplacian on the Gaussian shrinking soliton.
