  • In this paper, we propose a robust duality of CNN(Du-CNN) method which can classify the target and clutter in coastal environment for IR Imaging Sensor. In coastal environment, there are various clutter that have many similarities with real target due to diverse change of air temperature, water temperature, weather and season. Also, real target have various feature due to the same reason. Thus, the proposed Du-CNN method adopts human's multiple personality utilization and CNN technique to learn and classify target and clutter. This method has an advantage of the real time operation. Experimental results on sampled dataset of real infrared target and clutter demonstrate that the proposed method have better success rate to classify the target and clutter than general CNN method.

  • 본 논문에서는 인공위성의 근접운용에서 발생할 수 있는 위치-자세 결합운동을 정의하고, 이를 듀얼 쿼터니언 기반의 운동방정식을 통해 접근한다. 인공위성의 위치-자세 결합운동은 두 위성의 상대운동에서 목표 지점이 무게 중심이 아닌 위성체 위의 임의의 점에 위치할 때 발생하며, 특히 근거리 운용에서 명확히 보여진다. 듀얼 쿼터니언 기반의 운동방정식은 각속도 상태를 직접 반영하여, 자세의 변화가 위치에 영향을 미치는 위치-자세 결합운동을 간결하게 정의할 수 있다. 여기에서는 위치-자세 결합운동의 해결을 위해 기존의 접근방법과 함께 듀얼 쿼터니언 기반의 운동방정식을 새롭게 제시한다. 수치 시뮬레이션에서는 두 위성의 상대운동에서 위치-자세 결합운동으로 목표 지점에 대한 위치 오차가 발생함을 보이고, 듀얼 쿼터니언 기반의 운동방정식이 이를 해결할 수 있음을 검증한다.

  • In this study, realize voltage regulation $220Vac{\pm}10%$ or less, frequency fluctuation $60Hz{\pm}1%$ or less over the independent operation and grid-connected operation technologies for power stabilization relates to the ESS designed and manufactured in conjunction with solar installations and solar to compensate the output reduction due to the polarization of the solar module through the polarization prevention technology for preventing the optical module efficiency is lowered, in conjunction with the BMS inverter efficiency was more than 92%, more than 90% of the charging efficiency to the target. This study was designed in conjunction with the ESS solar power plants, grid-connected operation and independent operation, Peak-Cut, it can stabilize the grid via the Peak-Shifting operation

  • Many other countries have investigated the new backwash water treatment process to save the existing water resource. There are various methods for reusing backwash water, but the membrane system has received the most interest for its efficiency. The objective of this study was to certify the application of membrane filtration system for the backwash water treatment. The experiment equipment was composed of Lab scale tubular membrane filtration system. Generally, cross-flow operation mode is used in the tubular membrane system but cross-flow operation mode demands high electric cost mainly for the pump energy. So to cut off electric cost, dead-end operation mode was used in this experiment. Filtration and bleed operation cycle was used in this membrane system. Backwash water was concentrated during the filtration process and when backwash water reached our target suspended solid concentration, it was discharged from this system. For efficient operation of filtration and bleed, mathematical matrix was drawn up and with this matrix we could simulate various sets of filtration and bleed time.

ARPA 레이더 개발을 위한 물표 획득 및 추적 기술 연구 (A Study on Target Acquisition and Tracking to Develop ARPA Radar)

  • ARPA(Automatic Radar Plotting Aid)는 자동레이더 플로팅 장치로써, 레이더 물표의 상대침로와 상대방위로 구성된 운동벡터에 본선의 침로와 방위로 구성되는 운동벡터를 가감 연산(벡터연산)하여, 물표의 진침로와 진방위 및 최근접점과 근접시간을 계산하는 장치를 말한다. 본 연구의 목적은 ARPA 레이더를 구현하기 위한 물표의 획득 및 추적 기술을 개발하는 것으로, 이에 관한 여러 선행 연구를 검토하여 적용 가능한 알고리듬 및 기법을 조합하여 기초적인 ARPA 기능을 개발하였다. 주요 연구내용으로, 레이더 영상에서 물표를 획득하기 위하여, 회색조 변환, 가운시안 평활 필터 적용, 이진화 및 라벨링(Labeling)과 같은 순차적 영상 처리 방법을 고안하였고, 이전 영상에서의 물표가 다음 영상에서의 어느 물표인지를 결정하는데 근접이웃탐색알고리듬을 사용하였으며, 물표의 진침로와 진방위를 계산하는 거동해석에 칼만필터를 사용하였다. 또한 이러한 기법을 전산 구현하여 실선실험을 수행하였고, 이를 통해 개발된 ARPA의 기능이 실용상 사용가능함을 검증하였다.

야전운용자료를 활용한 항공무기체계의 RAM 목표값 비교분석 (Comparison of RAM Target Value and Operation Data in Air Weapon Systems)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study is to compare the RAM (reliability, availability and maintainability) value in the acquisition phase with operational period for air weapon systems. The objective is to determine if the value of RAM is sufficient in the field, and look for any difference from the target value to some extent. Methods : For a case study, the ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ training aircraft is selected. Data from the two acquisition sources are utilized. One is the operational data in domestic aircraft through research and development, and the other is the data from imported aircraft. The two different sources were collected independently and distinctly. Results : According to the analysis, the domestic aircraft shows high deviation in RAM value compare to the imported systems. This is due to the effort of continuous reliability improvement. In the aspect of maintainability, the result shows a slight deviation, and the availability meets the requirement. Conclusion : The results of this study can be used in finding a way that can be effectively applied to the sustainability in the weapon system. If the RAM performance is significantly lower than the target value, then it is necessary to improve the design activities so that they can achieve the RAM target value.

A FUZZY LOGIC CONTROLLER DESIGN FOR VEHICLE ABS WITH A ON-LINE OPTIMIZED TARGET WHEEL SLIP RATIO

  • For a vehicle Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), the control target is to maintain friction coefficients within maximum range to ensure minimum stopping distance and vehicle stability. But in order to achieve a directionally stable maneuver, tire side forces must be considered along with the braking friction. Focusing on combined braking and turning operation conditions, this paper presents a new control scheme for an ABS controller design, which calculates optimal target wheel slip ratio on-line based on vehicle dynamic states and prevailing road condition. A fuzzy logic approach is applied to maintain the optimal target slip ratio so that the best compromise between braking deceleration, stopping distance and direction stability performances can be obtained for the vehicle. The scheme is implemented using an 8-DOF nonlinear vehicle model and simulation tests were carried out in different conditions. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme is robust and effective. Compared with a fixed-slip ratio scheme, the stopping distance can be decreased with satisfactory directional control performance meanwhile.

  • HANARO, a multi-purpose research reactor, 30 MWth open-tank-in-pool type, is planning to produce a fission moly-99 of radio isotopes, a mother nuclide of Tc-99m, a medical isotope and a target handling tool is under development for loading and unloading it in a circular flow tube (OR-5) of HANARO. A guide tube is extended from the reactor core to the top of the reactor chimney for easily loading the target under a normal operation of the reactor. But active coolant through the core can be quickly raised up to the top of the chimney through the guide tube. The jet flow was suppressed in the guide tube after reducing the inner diameter of a flow restriction orifice installed in the OR-5 flow tube for adding the pressure difference in the flow tube. This paper describes an analytical analysis to calculate the flow distribution in the core of HANARO after suppressing the jet flow of the guide tube. As results, it was confirmed through the analysis results that the flow distribution in the core of HANARO were not adversely affected.

A Study on the Radar Operational and Technical Performance Requirements for Vessel Traffic Service

  • With the expansion of the shipping and port logistics industry in the 21st century, the traffic density is continuously increased because of the increase in volumes of world sea freight and fleets, as well as the increase in the causes of potential marine accidents, such as ship collisions and stranding. Accordingly, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has requested that the installation and operation of VTS should be applied in areas with high risk of marine traffic, and the request should be included as one of the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) regulations. In this paper, the fundamental requirements of the radar system for vessel traffic services were analyzed and the analyzing factors were based on the IALA guideline.s This paper also includes results for the requirement and recommendation analysis on detection distance, target separation, and the target position accuracy of X-band radar. Also, to check if it satisfies the requirement of detection distance, range and azimuth separation of small point targets, and target position accuracy from the IALA guidelines, the test was conducted through the radar image acquired at the VTS center, and hence, the validity of the technical performance requirements was confirmed.

  • The IDRS provides detection, classification and bearing/range estimation by performing wavefront curvature analysis on an intercepted active transmission from target. Especially, a estimate of the target bearing/range that significantly affects the optimal operation of own submarine is required. Target bearing/range can be estimated by wavefront curvature ranging which use the difference of time arrival at sensors. But estimation ambiguity occur in bearing/range estimation due to a number of peaks caused by high center frequency and limited bandwidth of the intercepted active transmission and distortion caused by noise. As a result the bearing/range estimation performance is degraded. To estimate target bearing/range correctly, bearing/range estimation method that eliminate estimation ambiguity is required. In this paper, therefore, for wavefront curvature ranging, NLS cost function with curve fitting method is proposed, which provide robust bearing/range estimation performance by eliminating estimation ambiguity. Through simulation the performance of the proposed bearing/range estimation methods are verified.
