Fifteen intact male Jamunapari goats, average body weight $22.0{\pm}1.18kg$ were divided into three groups of 5 animals in each to investigate the effects of feeding leucaena on energy retention and distribution of retained energy. Leucaena leaves and twigs provided 0%, 25% and 50% of CP in the rations of animals in $L_1$ (control), $L_2$ and $L_3$ groups, respectively. Energy balances were determined in an open circuit respiration chamber from gaseous exchange and nitrogen carbon balances. Energy retentions calculated from gaseous exchange data were 181.6, 190.0 and 172.8 kJ/kg $W^{0.75}/d$ and from carbon-nitrogen balances were 178.2, 199.5 and 171.1 kJ/kg $W^{0.75}/d$ in $L_1$, $L_2$ and $L_3$ groups, respectively. No significant difference was observed among the groups in both the methods. The retention of nitrogen and energy in the form of protein was similar in different treatment groups. Similarly, no significant effect was observed on energy retention in the form of fat and total energy retention due to incorporation of leucaena in the diets.

This paper presents the electrochemical etch-stop characteristics of single-crystal Si(001) wafers in tetramethyl ammonium hydroxide(TMAH):isopropyl alcohol(IPA):pyrazine solutions. The addition of pyrazine to TMAH:IPA solutions increased the etch rate of (100) Si, thus the etching time required by the etch-stop process shortened. The current-voltage(I-V) characteristics of n- and p-type Si in TMAH:IPA:pyrazine solutions were obtained, respectively. Open circuit potential(OCP) and passivation potential(PP) of n- and p-type Si, respectively, were obtained and applied potential was selected between n- and p-type Si PPs. The electrochemical etch-stop method was used to fabricate 801 microdiaphragms of 20 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ thickness on a 5-inch Si wafer. The average thickness of fabricated 801 microdiaphragms on one Si wafer was 20.03 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and the standard deviation was $\pm$0.26 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. The Si surface of the etch-stopped microdiaphragm was extremely flat with no noticeable taper or nonuniformity.
Small FRP(fiber-reinforced polymer) fishing ships have numerous problems with the point of the environmental and recycling perspectives. In light of these aspects, aluminum can be used as a material for ship building. It is environmental friendly, easy to recycle, and provides a high added value to fishing boats. In this paper, we report on mechanical and electrochemical characteristics of welding parts for friction stir welded 5456-H116 Al alloy. In friction stir welded at various traveling speeds under the rotation speed of 500 RPM, the best characteristics presented in traveling speed of 15mm/min. The anodic polarizations of base metal and welding metal were observed tendency which current density from the open circuit potential suddenly increase. The cathodic polarization presented concentrated polarization caused by the dissolved oxygen reduction reaction and activation polarization caused by hydrogen generation. From result of Tafel analysis, the corrosion potential of 5456 alloy(Base metal) was lower than that of friction stir welded part, as were its corrosion current densities.
The purpose of this study was to observe the anodic polarization curve from 4 kinds of low copper amalgam (Fine cut alloy, Spheralloy, Aristalloy and Amalcap) and 4 kinds of high copper amalgam (Dispersalloy, Sybraloy Orosphere and Tytin) obtained by using the potentiostat. The specimen made as the direction of manufacturer was stored at room temperature for about 7 days. The standard surface preparation was routinely carried out. The 0.9% saline solution was used as electrolyte in pH 6.8-7.0 at $37^{\circ}C$. The open circuit potential was determined after 30 minutes' immersion of specimen. The scan rate was 1mV/sec and the surface area of amalgam exposed to the solution was 0.785$cm^2$ for each specimen. All potentials reported are with respect to Ag/AgCl eelctrode. The following results were obtained. 1. The corrosion potential of high copper amalgams was higher than one of low copper amalgams, and the current density of high copper amalgam was lower than one of low copper amalgams. 2. The low copper amalgams had the similar pattern of polarization curve, but the high copper amalgams had the different pattern one another. 3. The polarization curve of Orosphere amalgam which is the admixed type was similar to one of low copper amalgam.
The common vibration energy harvester effectively converts mechanical vibration to electric power at a specific resonance frequency that must match the ambient excitation frequency. The resonance frequencies of energy harvesters are fixed during the design process and could not be changed after fabrication. In this paper, we proposed the new frequency tuning which uses the rotatable spring in order to adjust the spring constants. By this tuning method, the resonance frequency of the system can simply be manipulated using spring rotation. The proposed energy harvester has been successfully tuned to a resonance frequency between 23 and 32 Hz. The experimental results demonstrated that the proposed energy harvester could generate a maximum output power of $60{\mu}W$ with an acceleration of 0.5 g ($1g=9.81m/s^2$), and that the resonance frequency of the harvester was able to tune approximately 31.4%. When the proposed harvester was attached to an automobile engine, the maximum open circuit voltage of 1.78 Vpp was produced at 700 rpm.
The lattice mismatch between ZnS and Si is negligible because of its value being 0.39%. In this study, $ZnS/_{(P)}Si$ solar cell were fabricated as a layer of ZnS is epitaxially grown on a silicon substrate by PVD method and its photovoltaic properties were measured and discussed. The heat treatment was done after deposition. As the temperature increased up to a certain value, the film has better perfection in crystal structure and electrical characteristics. Measurments of the change that occur in the ZnS films were made by SEM., X-ray diffraction. The optimal thickness of film showned $0.6{\mu}m$, being measured by SEM. The great improvement of the grain growth ZnS film came out after heat-treatment. The result obtained from the $ZnS/_{(P)}Si$ solar cell as follows:short circuit current; $I_{sc}=54mA/cm^2$,open voltage; $V_{oc}=400mV$, fill factor FF=0.72, conversion efficiency; ${\eta}=15.6%$ under the irradiation of 100 ($mW/cm^2$) focused by solar energy. And these are discussed in comparison with other kinds.
The evaluation of the effectivess of ongoing cardiopulmonary resucitation efforts is dependent on the commonly used methods, such as the presence of femoral or carotid artery pulsations, arterial blood gas determinations, peripheral arterial pressure and intracardiac pressure monitoring. But recent studies suggest that end-tidal carbon dioxide tension serves as a non-invasive measurement of pulmonary blood flow and therefore cardiac output under constant ventilation. A prospective clinical study was done to determine whether end-tidal carbon dioxide monitoring in open heart surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass could be used as a prognostic indicator of bypass weaning. We monitored end-tidal PCO2 values continuously during cardiopulmonary bypass in 30 patients. "Ohmeda 5210 CO-2 monitor" under infrared absorption method were incorperated into the ventilator circuit by means of a side point adaptor between endotracheal tube and ventilator tubing. 18 patients[Group I ] were res-ucitated from partial bypass followed by aorta cross clamp off and 12 patients[Group II ] from aorta cross clamp off followed by partial bypass. But there was no difference between two groups[p>0.05]. The value of end-tidal carbon dioxide tension during ventricular fibrillation or nearly arrest state was 6.6$\pm$2.9 mmHg, and at the time of spontaneous beating was 19.3$\pm$5.6 mmHg[Mean$\pm$Standard deviation], In conclusion end-tidal carbon dioxide tension monitoring provides clinically useful, continous, noninvasive and supplementary prognostic indicator during cardiopulmonary bypass weaning procedures.rocedures.

Proper management on user-driven virtual circuits (VCs) is essential for seamless operation of virtual networks. The Network Provisioning System (NPS) is useful software for creating user-driven VCs automatically and must take fault management into account for physical layer impairments on user-driven VCs. This paper addresses a user-driven and trusty protection management in an NPS with an open standard Network Service Interface (NSI), as a contribution to show how to implement the user-driven and trusty protection management required for user-driven VCs. In particular, it provides a RESTful web service Interface for Configuration and Event management (RICE) that enable management of a distinguished data and control plane VC status between Network Service Agents (NSAs) in the event of a node or link fault and repair in a domain. This capability represents a contribution to show how network and protection events in a domain can be monitored between NSAs (NPSs with the NSI) in multiple domains. The implemented NPS controls and manages both the primary and backup VC with disjoint path in a user-driven manner. A demonstration to verify RICE API's capability is addressed for the trusty protection in the dynamic VC network.
Continuing efforts to achieve increased circuit performance in electronic package have resulted in higher power density at chip and module level. As a result, the thermal management of electronic package has been important in maintaining or improving the reliability of the component. An experimental investigation of thermosyphonic boiling in vertical tube and channel made by two parallel rectangular plates was carried out in this study for possible application of the direct immersion cooling. Fluorinert FC-72 as a working fluid was used in this experiment. Asymmetric heated channel of open periphery with gap size of 1, 2, 4 and 26mm and uniformly heated vertical tubes with diameter of 9, 15 and 20mm were boiled at saturated condition. The boiling curves from tested surfaces exhibited the boiling hysteresis. It was also found that the gap size is not a significant parameter for the thermosyphonic boiling heat transfer with this Fluorinert. Rather pool boiling characteristics appeared for larger gap size and tube diameter. The heat transfer coefficients measured were also compared with the calculation results by Chens correlation.
The electro-hydraulic servo winch system built in a automatic tension control equipment was designed with a latent need for an advanced system in fishing operations of the inshore and coastal fishing vessels. In order to keep the constant tension condition of warp under loading, a tension control circuit was added to the servo winch system. The dynamic performance in the open loop behaviour of the designed winch system was investigated and its applicability was tested for various possibilities of load using a load generator especially developed in order to this study. The mechanical characteristics of this system is different from that of a conventional type, that is, the tension, length, line speed and drum revolution can be automatically controlled by the information from various sensors, such as torque, rpm and pressure transducers. from the experiment results, it was verified that the servo winch system has very good output and tracking behaviour for the control input signals in different operating conditions though overshoot of out 8% in the transient characteristics of torque under the load though a overshoot of about 8% in the transient characteristics of torque under the load condition can be observed when the opening of servo valve, adjustable by the input voltage between - 10 V up to 10 V, changed suddenly.Consequently, the improved fishing winch system can be effectively used as the automatic shooting and hauling equipment of low cost for small inshore and coastal fishing vessels which engage in net fishing.
