This study presents a nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC)-based obstacle avoidance and whole-body motion planning method for the mobile manipulators. For the whole-body motion control, the mobile manipulator with an omnidirectional mobile base was modeled as a nine degrees-of-freedom (DoFs) serial open chain with the PPR (base) plus 6R (arm) joints, and a swept sphere volume (SSV) was applied to define a convex hull for collision avoidance. The proposed receding horizon control scheme can generate a trajectory to track the end-effector pose while avoiding the self-collision and obstacle in the task space. The proposed method could be calculated using an interior-point (IP) method solver with 100[ms] sampling time and ten samples of horizon size, and the validation of the method was conducted in the environment of Pybullet simulation.

Timely management is an important activity in long running transactions. This can be seen in many Supply Chain scenarios where insufficient time management could lead to expensive compensations. Therefore, effective strategy for timely management in long running transactions is needed. In this paper, we propose our solution to detect and avoid violating deadline based on a comparison strategy of predicted complete time and required deadline. Three approaches are used. Firstly, we build Open Nested Transaction Model (ONTM) where deadline of top-level transactions are managed through a flexible time adjustment of lower level transactions. Secondly, workflow is introduced to WSTransaction framework which supports the algorithm to predict complete time and spot delaying activities. Thirdly, a rule-based coordinator is developed to decide the confirmation or cancelation of participants' ongoing activities. We also discuss a workflow example for implementation.

A 5-year-old neutered male domestic short-haired cat presented with acute dyspnea characterized by open-mouth breathing and stridor for 2 days. Direct visualization via laryngoscopy revealed diffuse laryngeal swelling and severe thickening of the vocal folds bilaterally; thus, the upper respiratory tract was obstructed owing to severe edema. Neutrophil infiltration was found on fine needle aspiration of the larynx cytology, and no discrete mass with polyp or neoplasia was identified on diagnostic imaging. The cat was diagnosed with acute obstructive laryngitis, and a tracheostomy tube was immediately installed. After 17 days of treatment with steroids, doxycycline and azithromycin, the swollen larynx gradually improved, and there was no recurrence of laryngitis or respiratory obstruction. A feline upper respiratory polymerase chain reaction panel revealed Mycoplasma felis infection; however, it could not be determined whether it was pathogenic or opportunistic. Herein, we report a case of obstructive laryngitis in a cat. When respiratory obstruction due to acute laryngitis is identified, a good prognosis is expected with rapid and appropriate treatment.

In this paper, we are mainly concerned with two-sided estimates for transition probabilities of symmetric Markov chains on ℤ^d, whose one-step transition probability is comparable to |x - y|^-dϕ_j (|x - y|)^-1 with ϕ_j being a positive regularly varying function on [1, ∞) with index α ∈ [2, ∞). For upper bounds, we directly apply the comparison idea and the Davies method, which considerably improves the existing arguments in the literature; while for lower bounds the relation with the corresponding continuous time symmetric Markov chains are fully used. In particular, our results answer one open question mentioned in the paper by Murugan and Saloff-Coste (2015).

Supermarket Franchising, as a relatively new mode of retail business, is often regarded as one of the two hallmarks of the "Modern Logistics Revolution". After more than ten years of development, franchise supermarkets have been a rising force in retail business in China. As a product of a highly-developed commercial economy, franchise supermarkets mainly deals in foodstuffs and other daily necessities, featuring low cost, high turnover rate, low prices and diversified inventory. Propelled by the conveniences that come with open shelves and self-service shopping, franchise supermarkets have been growing very rapidly and the rise of many franchise supermarket brands bears testimony to its growth potential and profitability. Meanwhile, in the backdrop of this boom, some franchise supermarkets are going bankrupt. This paper analyzes the current status of franchise supermarkets and some factors bearing on their core competencies, so as to close the competitiveness gap with international retail giants.

Building Information Modeling (BIM) comes to be implemented into architectural design, construction, and maintenance in Japan in order to convert design information thoughout a construction project. However, various problems are taking place in data transaction. It is not also clear about the role and the responsibility of the architects and the enginners in charge.There is a movement to establish a BIM manager as a general coordinator concerning BIM in Singapore and other countries, though it is not yet popular in Japan. This paper deals a BIM manager as a new profession in a construction project. The function and skills necessary to a BIM manager is analyzed, and the strategy of Japanese general contractors is discussed. General contractors from Japan are operating BIM in Singapore compatible with open system of supply chain. This style is different from the one in Japan even they belong to the same company. In this paper it is analyzed based on the survey in detail.

Ebosin, a novel exopolysaccharide produced by Streptomyces sp. 139, has obvious antirheumatic arthritis activity in vivo, and its biosynthesis gene cluster (ste), consisting of 27 open reading frames, has been identified. This paper reports our study of the gene functionality of ste8, the predicted protein product of which is homologous to some bacterial chain length determinant Wzz proteins. For characterization of Ste8, ste8 was cloned and expressed in the mutant strain E. coli 086:H2 (${\Delta}wzz$). The functional complementation of wzz by ste8 was demonstrated by the restoration of wild-type lipopolysaccharide biosynthesis and increased levels of serum resistance of E. coli 086:H2 (${\Delta}wzz$) (pET30a-ste8). To examine the function of ste8 in ebosin biosynthesis, the gene was knocked out with a double crossover via homologous recombination. The molecular weight of the ebosin derivative EPS-8m produced by the mutant Streptomyces sp. 139 ($ste8^-$) was much lower than that of ebosin, and the binding activity of EPS-8m for IL-1R decreased significantly compared with ebosin. These results demonstrate that ste8 encodes a chain length determinant (Wzz) that functions in ebosin biosynthesis.

본 연구는 국내 전자책 시장 활성화를 위해 전자책 기업들의 요구사항과 CPND 가치사슬을 분석하여 정책적 시사점을 도출하였다. 먼저 30개 기업에게 전자책 시장 전망, 제작 및 유통 현황, 서비스 활용인식, 정책지원의 요구사항 등에 대해 질문하였다. 그 결과, 기업에게 필요한 지원사항은 '시장진입 및 판로개척을 위한 홍보 마케팅 지원'(27%) 항목이 가장 높았고, 다음으로 '인건비, 사업비 등 재정지원'과 '해당 분야별 전문성을 길러주는 인력 재교육 지원' 항목이 각각 22%로 높았다. 전자책 기업에 대해 유효한 지원사항은 외부 지원 프로그램(35%), 자금지원(30%)의 순으로 높게 나타났다. 가치사슬 측면에서는 플랫폼 비즈니스를 중심으로 기존 종이책 시장의 일직선상 체계와는 다른 구조를 나타냈다. 특히 공동도서관과 글로벌 유통사의 서비스가 주요 변수로 작용할 것으로 예상되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 종합하면, 국내 전자책 기업의 경쟁력 확보를 위해서는 1)e-pub3 저작도구 및 SNS 마케팅의 활용교육 2)유통판매망의 통계 구축 3)과금체계의 다양화 4)전자책 콘텐츠 품질 인증 등이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

조직이 급변하는 경제환경에서 성공하기 위해서는 연구개발만이 아니라 가치사슬 전부분에 걸쳐 혁신적이어야 한다. 특히 중소벤처기업의 경우 새로운 수익을 창출하기 위해서는 가치사슬 전부분에서 혁신적이야 한다. 가치혁신을 위해서는 가치혁신을 일으키는 의미있는 업무, 위험감수성, 고객지향성, 신속한 의사결정, 비즈니스 인텔리전스, 열린 의사소통, 임파워먼트, 사업계획, 학습조직 같은 요소들이 조직문화에 녹아들어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 위의 9가지 요소들을 가치혁신문화로 보고, 이러한 가치혁신문화가 개인창의성에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하였으며, 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개인창의성의 구성요인인 전문지식에 정(+)의 영향을 주는 요인으로 의미있는 업무와 임파워먼트, 위험감수성으로 나타났다. 둘째, 창의적 사고기술에 정(+)의 영향을 주는 요인은 열린 조직으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 내적 동기부여에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 학습조직, 임파워먼트, 혁신성으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 통해 종업원 개인이 인지한 가치혁신문화는 개인창의성을 유발시키는데 도움이 되는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다.

포도 ASR (VvMSA) 단백질은 hexose transporter 유전자 VvHT1의 전사를 조절하는 조절 인자 중의 하나로서 sugar 및 abscisic acid (ABA) 신호에 의해 발현이 유도된다. 본 연구진은 ACP RT-PCR (annealing control primer reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction) 방법을 이용하여 포도 과실발달 과정에서 조절되는 유전자 중 VvMSA와 동일한 cDNA (VlASR)를 클로닝하였다. 이 유전자는 착과 시기에 발현되기 시작하여 과실이 발달하면서 점점 증가하여 착과 후 10 주에 가장 많이 발현되며, 숙기 후반에는 도리어 발현양이 감소하였다. 포도 asr 유전자의 조절기작을 밝히기 위해, 이 유전자의 genomic clone을 분리하였다. 총 1375 bp로 이루어진 이 유전자 절편에는 open reading frame과 100 bp의 intron을 포함하고 있다. 약 600 bp 길이의 프로모터 내에는 sugar 신호전달과 연관이 있는 것으로 알려진 sugar box(sucrose box 3 +sucrose response box 1)가 있다. 프로모터 절편을 reporter 유전자와 연결하여 Arabidopsis에 도입하고 형질전환체를 분석한 결과, reporter 유전자는 sucrose 처리와 상관없이 항상 발현되었다. 이러한 결과는 포도에서 보고된 ASR/VvHT1를 매개로 하는 sugar/ABA 신호전달계가 asr 유전자가 없는 Arabidopsis에서는 작동되지 않음을 시사하고 있다.
