The Diakoptics Solution of Eigenvalue Problems in Large Scale Network (분할법에 의한 대형회로망의 고유치 해석)

  • The concept of diakoptics is to analyze a large scale network by partitioning it in to a number of smaller subnetworks. The theory has been developed from the concepts of open path and closed path through the conventional graph theoretic approach. In this paper, the formulation of characteristic equation of the eigenvalues of the network is represented by the aplication of diakoptics to the simulated netwrok model of any linear large scale network. Furtheromore, diakoptics coupled with appropriately proposed algorithm for the interative solution of the characteristic equation results in considerable computational efficiency as compare with nondiakoptical mothods.

  • The primary objective of this paper is to grasp many characteristics of buckling behavior of latticed spherical domes under various conditions. The Arc-Length Method proposed by E.Riks is used for the computation and evaluation of geometrically nonlinear fundamental equilibrium paths and bifurcation points. And the direction of the path after the bifurcation point is decided by means of Hosono's concept. Three different nonlinear stiffness matrices of the Slope-Deflection Method are derived for the system with rigid nodes and results of the numerical analysis are examined in regard in geometrical parameters such as slenderness ratio, half-open angle, boundary conditions, and various loading types. But in case of analytical model 2 (rigid node), the post-buckling path could not be surveyed because of Newton-Raphson iteration process being diversed on the critical point since many eigenvalues become zero simultaneously.

  • The popularity of autonomous mobile robots have been rapidly increasing due to their new emerging application areas, from room cleaning, tourist guidance to space explorations. However, the development of a satisfactory control algorithm that will enable the autonomous mobile robots to navigate safely especially in dynamic environments is still an open research problem. In this paper, a newly proposed potential field based control method is implemented, analyzed, and improvements are suggested based on experimental results obtained from simulations. The experimental results are presented to show the effectiveness of the behavior-based control using the proposed potential field generation technique.

  • Inside noise levels of running train is the summation of air borne noise and structure-borne noise. In this paper, structure-borne noise, which is known to dominate inside noise level in open field, is investigated. Structure borne noise is analyzed in terms of vibration sources, transmission path and noise generating part so as to reduce inside noise levels.

  • Non-abelian group based Cryptography is a field which has become a latest trend in research due to increasing vulnerabilities associated with the abelian group based cryptosystems which are in use at present and the interesting algebraic properties associated that can be thought to provide higher security. When developing cryptographic primitives based on non-abelian groups, the researchers have tried to extend the similar layouts associated with the traditional underlying mathematical problems and assumptions by almost mimicking their operations which is fascinating even to observe. This survey contributes in highlighting the different analogous extensions of traditional assumptions presented by various authors and a set of open problems. Further, suggestions to apply the Hamiltonian Cycle/Path Problem in a similar direction is presented.

  • The problem of optimal stochastic GA control of the system with uncertain parameters and unsure noise covariates is studied. First, without knowing the explicit form of the dynamic system, the open-loop determinism problem with path optimization is solved. Next, Gaussian linear quadratic controllers (LQG) are designed for linear systems that depend on the nominal path. A robust genetic neural network (NN) fuzzy controller is synthesized, which consists of a Kalman filter and an optimal controller to assure the asymptotic stability of the discrete control system. A simulation is performed to prove the suitability and performance of the recommended algorithm. The results indicated that the recommended method is a feasible method to improve the performance of active tuned mass damper (ATMD) shear buildings under random earthquake disturbances.

  • The gas generated from the fire which is continuous until material is completely burned. We can analyze usual gas using chromatography analysis but it can not be applicated to analyze for the gas from the fire because which gas is enormously generated. Besides, chromatography analysis has the disadvantage that it can not continuously analyze the sample's representativness, gas from the fire, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, FT-IR, has been utilized for effective combustion gas analysis method in small-scale combustion and on-line analysis has been attempted continuously. However, continuous sampling of 3.5l/min can not be representativness of sample if the gas caused by a massive fire and space. And the gas sampling is practically impossible in such a case. In this study, we attempted remote analysis while overcoming the disadvantages of the current gas analysis by using an Open-Path Infrared Analyzer without pre-treatment of the sampling. For the remote analysis, quantitative analysis method was established regarding each combustion toxic gases. And we measured the gases from the fire that occurs in the real case.

An Empirical Study on Open Government Data: Focusing on ODB and OUR Index (공공데이터 개방에 관한 실증연구: ODB와 OUR Index를 중심으로)

  • In this study, to reveal determinant factors for degree of open data it conduct empirical analysis for ODB(Open Data Barometer) and OUR Index(Open, Useful, Reusable Government Data Index) that are global open data index among 26 countries. As a result of multiple regression analysis, First focus is on ODB. In the Model 1 with independent variables, e-Government, SW Market size and government efficacy are significantly positive effect for ODB. In the Model 2 with independent variables and moderating variable, e-Government, SW market size and social capital are significantly positive effect for ODB. In the Model 3 with independent variables, moderating variable and interaction term, e-Government and social capital are significantly positive effect for ODB. Second focus is on OUR Index. In the Model 1 and the Model 2 e-Government is significantly positive effect for OUR Index. In the Model, e-Government and SW market size ${\times}$ social capital(interaction term) are significantly positive effect for OUR Index. And in path analysis, only ODB alternative model show Government efficacy with social capital has full mediation effect. In OUR Index alternative model there is no mediation effect with social capital.

Flow Characteristics for the Variation of Radius of Curvature in Open Channel Bends

  • The flow characteristics varying with rate of the radius of curvature to width (Rc/B) in open channel bends are investigated with a simplified numerical model. Secondary flow velocity and transverise bed slope are formulated from the equations of momentum and force balance analysis, respectively. The conservation equations of mass and streamwise momentum are simplified by depth integration and its solution could be obtained from the explicit finite difference method. Three sets of computer simulation are executed. The rates of Rc/B adopted in simulations are 2.7, 5.4 and 8.1. The terms analyzed in this paper secondary flow velocity, streamwise velocity, the path of maximum steamwise velocity, deviation angle, and mass-shift velocity.

  • A new method for a guide robot using Real-Time Linux OS is introduced in this paper. A guide robot is to guide people in museums or buildings. So it has to be more reliable and stable in its control system. In addition, it has to satisfy Real-Time operation requirement because it needs to react to changing environment prompty. The task includes localization, map building, collision avoidance, path planning, and user interface software. The modular guide robot is designed with Real-Time Linux OS, which is composed of many open sources for scheduler, interrupt dispatcher, fifos, shared memory, timer services. We developed application software to satisfy the given task.
