Continuous temperature monitoring and event recording provides information on the energized equipment's response to normal and emergency conditions. On-line temperature monitoring helps to coordinate equipment specifications and ratings, determine the real limits of the monitored equipment and optimize facility operations. Using wireless technique eliminates any need for special cables and wires with lower installation costs if compared to other types of online condition monitoring equipment. In addition, wireless temperature monitoring works well under difficult conditions in strategically important locations. Wireless technology for on-line condition monitoring of energized equipment is applicable both as standalone system and with an interface with power quality monitoring system. The paper presents the results of wireless temperature monitoring of switchgear at a power plant over a two-year period.

Purpose: This study analyzed the perfume buying behavior of 561 men in their 20s and 30s. Research design, data and methodology: The demographic characteristics of the study subjects were analyzed frequently, the use of perfumes and chi-square tests were performed to identify differences in purchasing behavior, and the Likert 5-point scale was used to measure the importance of the reasons for choosing perfumes. Results: The most commonly used perfume product was Eau de Toilette, which had statistically significant differences with age and education (p<.05). Perfumes were most commonly purchased at health and beauty stores, with statistically significant differences by age, marital status, and education (p<.05). Conclusions: The study subjects have a high purchasing power for perfume products and are proficient in using smart devices, so they have a high level of information through beauty platforms, so they need to promote online products by introducing live commerce, etc.

Background: Several previous studies have shown that commuting is a source of stress for undergraduate students. However, few studies have investigated the effect of commuting on academic stress among undergraduate students, and there has been little awareness of the environmental impact of commuting. Objectives: To evaluate the associations between commute type and/or time and academic stress among undergraduate students in South Korea, focusing on environmental sustainability. Methods: We conducted an online survey and obtained information on commute types, commute times, and academic stress from 510 undergraduate students aged ≥19 years. Academic stress was comprised of five sub-categories of stress, and total academic stress ranged from 5 to 25 points. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the associations between commute type and commute time and academic stress. Furthermore, the students were grouped into 21 categories based on their transportation mode for commuting. CO2 emission factors per each commuting category were calculated using the transportation type's CO2 emission data from previous studies. Spearman's correlation analysis was used to confirm the correlation between CO2 emission factors and total academic stress. Results: Students using home-to-school transportation without transfers (vs. walking) showed a significantly higher total academic stress of 2.19 points (95% CI: 0.58, 3.80). In contrast, students using school-to-home transportation without transfers (vs. walking) showed a significantly lower total academic stress of 1.96 points (95% CI: -3.55, -0.38). Moreover, students using transportation with lower CO2 emission factors had lower academic stress scores (home-to-school: correlation coefficient = 0.507, p<0.001; school-to-home: correlation coefficient = 0.491, p<0.001). Conclusions: Our findings suggest that both commute type and time are significantly associated with academic stress among South Korean undergraduate students. When students select environmentally-friendly transportation, they may not only improve their mental health but also improve climate resilience.
Objective: This study was performed to estimate the number of those who used humidifier disinfectants (HDs) and experienced health effects from exposure to HDs in Korea between 1994 and 2011. Methods: A nationwide interview survey was conducted for the representative sample to identify the proportion of those who used HDs among the general population (n=3,001). Another online survey was conducted for those exposed to HDs to find the proportion of those who experienced health effects among those who were exposed to HDs (n=3,993). Statistics for population size by region and year (1994-2011) were used to estimate the cumulative number of those exposed to HDs and those who experienced health effects. In terms of the proportion of those exposed to HDs, those less than 30 years of age were excluded due to an issue related to information bias. Various approaches for estimation included the capture-recapture method for estimation of those who experienced health effects. Results: The cumulative proportion of those exposed to HDs was 6.7% among the general population, and the proportion of those who experienced health effects among those who were exposed to HDs was 13.9%. Based on these factors, it was estimated that 3.5 to 4.0 million people were exposed to HDs and 350 to 400 thousand experienced health effects at least requiring visiting a hospital. Conclusion: It is suggested that a nationwide representative sample may be essential for population size estimation of those exposed to environmental risk factors and of those who experienced health effects.
Although ready meals have recently increased their market share in the Korean food industry, a literature review found that the use of ready meals triggers feelings of guilt in homemakers. Such guilt arises as a result of several factors apparently related to consumers' health. Consequently, levels of guilt might be expected to vary depending on consumers' perceived health locus. The present study aims to examine (a) how health locus affects guilty feelings about ready-meal consumption, (b) how the effect varies in relation to the consumption of different types of ready meal, and (c) the relationship between consumers' guilty feelings and willingness to buy ready meals. Three dimensions of health locus of control (HLC) -internal HLC (IHLC), powerful-others HLC (PHLC), and chance HLC (CHLC)- were presumed to influence consumers' feelings of guilt in association with ready meals. Data were collected via an online survey, and participants were randomly assigned to either of two groups: one group was instructed to heat meals in a microwave (ready-to-heat [RTH] group, n=104) and the other cooked using a pan with additional ingredients (ready-to-cook [RTC] group, n=101). The study found that guilty feelings about consuming RTH meals increased in line with increased external HLCs, namely, PHLC and CHLC. For the RTC group, guilt increased in line with increased PHLC. IHLC had no significant effect on guilty feelings in either group. Willingness to buy ready meals decreased for both groups as consumers' feelings of guilt increased. Even RTC meals, which require more time and energy in food preparation, did not reduce guilty feelings among consumers with higher PHLC. RTC meals are preferable for consumers with higher CHLC, since their sense of greater involvement in the cooking process alleviates their feelings of guilt. Cooking with already prepared and uncooked ingredients brought fun and joy, both for the participants and their significant others. This interpretation may be developed into a strategic plan by ready-meal producers to strengthen their marketing strategy.

As the paradigm of healthcare shifts from the center of treatment to the center of prevention, products and services related to disease prevention are emerging at domestic and abroad. The government considers the smart healthcare industry as a solution to healthcare problems such as an increase in the number of chronic illnesses and an increase in the burden of medical expenses. The purpose of this study is to explore the factors affecting the use of smart healthcare products and services focusing on Health Literacy and health related personal characteristics and to provide policy implications. The subjects of the questionnaire are 1,027 adults over 20 in the nation, and conducted an online survey. In addition, the factors were analyzed by decision tree method. As a result, most of the respondents(76.9%) did not have experience using Smart Healthcare products and services. However, in the Health Literacy question, there was a difference in use experience depending on the degree of difficulty in using the mass media information. Other factors were the degree of intention to use new technology, the understanding of counseling about family members and friends, and health checkups. In order to enable self-healthcare through smart healthcare products and services, the ability of consumers to explore and utilize health information from the mass media should be improved. In addition, government and enterprise efforts are needed to achieve this.

This study attempted to verify what motivates fans to follow college sports teams' social media and identify the motivational factors that can best predict fans' social media consumption. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) indicated that previously identified seven motives for online consumption, i.e., information, diversion, socialization, pass-time, fanship, team support, and technical knowledge, are compatible with the use of college sports teams' social media. In addition, a results of multiple regression found diversion, socialization, fanship, team support, and technical knowledge to significantly predict the level of social media consumption while information and pass-time did not significantly affect social media consumption. In particular, socialization had the greatest influence on social media consumption.

'Personal Healthcare Records' (PHR) is a service for providing individual clinical data to patients. PHR service should be useful for the patient and healthcare service providers. This study has aimed at not only providing patients' clinical data but also developing optimized healthcare service for every patients. The research has been conducted as 3 phases: formal case analysis, caregivers interviews and patients interviews. The patients interviews were limited to cancer patients. As results, 3 key functions have been developed. First, it offers patient's clinical pathway as a personalized medical treatment scheduler. Second, it supplies Question & Answer board on online. Last, it supports patients to input their healthcare record. This Myongji PHR service has 3 months of pilot test on web and mobile application(android version). For further commercialized PHR service, the standardization for clinical pathway registration and user convenience need to be considered.

Background: The aim of this study was to analyze the public demand for information about the job of dental hygienists by mining text data collected from the online Q & A section on an Internet portal site. Methods: Text data were collected from inquiries that were posted on the Naver Q & A section from January 2003 to July 2020 using "dental hygienist job recognition," "role recognition," "medical assistance," and "scaling" as search keywords. Text mining techniques were used to identify significant Korean words and their frequency of occurrence. In addition, the association between words was analyzed. Results: A total of 10,753 Korean words related to the job of dental hygienists were extracted from the text data. "Chi-lyo (treatment)," "chigwa (dental clinic)," "ske-illing (scaling)," "itmom (gum)," and "chia (tooth)" were the five most frequently used words. The words were classified into the following areas of job of the dental hygienist: periodontal disease treatment and prevention, medical assistance, patient care and consultation, and others. Among these areas, the number of words related to medical assistance was the largest, with sixty-six association rules found between the words, and "chi-lyo," "chigwa," and "ske-illing" as core words. Conclusion: The public demand for information about the job of dental hygienists was mainly related to "chi-lyo," "chigwa," and "ske-illing" as core words, demonstrating that scaling is recognized by the public as the job of a dental hygienist. However, the high demand for information related to treatment and medical assistance in the context of dental hygienists indicates that the job of dental hygienists is recognized by the public as being more focused on medical assistance than preventive dental care that are provided with job autonomy.
