As pointed out in the OECD BEMUSE Program, when a high computation time is taken to obtain the relevant output values of a complex physical model (or code), the number of statistical samples that must be evaluated through it is a critical factor for the sampling-based uncertainty analysis. Two alternative methods have been utilized to avoid the problem associated with the size of these statistical samples: one is based on Wilks' formula, which is based on simple random sampling, and the other is based on the conventional nonlinear regression approach. While both approaches provide a useful means for drawing conclusions on the resultant uncertainty with a limited number of code runs, there are also some unique corresponding limitations. For example, a conclusion based on the Wilks' formula can be highly affected by the sampled values themselves, while the conventional regression approach requires an a priori estimate on the functional forms of a regression model. The main objective of this paper is to assess the feasibility of the ACE-RSM approach as a complementary method to the Wilks' formula and the conventional regression-based uncertainty analysis. This feasibility was assessed through a practical application of the ACE-RSM approach to the LOFT L2-5 LBLOCA PCT uncertainty analysis, which was implemented as a part of the OECD BEMUSE Phase III program.
Recently, Jaiswal et al. proposed a protocol to improve the multi-agent negotiation test-bed which was proposed by Collins et al. Using publish/subscribe system, time-release cryptography and anonymous communication, their protocol gives an improvement on the old one. However, it is shown that the protocol also has some security weaknesses: such as replay data attack and DOS (denial-of-service) attack, anonymity disclosure, collusion between customers and a certain supplier. So proposed protocol reduces DOS attack and avoids replay data attack by providing ticket token and deal sequence number to the supplier. And it is proved that the way that market generates random number to the supplier is better than the supplier do by himself in guaranteeing anonymity. Market publishes interpolating polynomial for sharing the determination process data. It avoids collusion between customer and a certain supplie

In this paper, performance of autoencoder based OFDM communication systems is compared with IEEE 802.11a Wireless Lan System (Wi-Fi). The proposed autoencoder based OFDM system is composed of the following steps. First, one sub-carrier's transmitter - channel - receiver system is created by autoencoder. Then learning process of the one sub-carrier autoencoder generates constellation map. Secondly, using the plural sub-carrier autoencoder systems, parallel bundle is configured with inserting IFFT and FFT before and after the channel to configure OFDM system. Finally, the receiver part of the OFDM communication system was updated by re-learning process for adapting channel condition such as multipath channel. For performance comparison, IEEE802.11a and the proposed autoencoder based OFDM system are compared. For channel estimation, Wi-Fi uses initial long preamble to measure channel condition. but Autoencoder needs re-learning process to create an equalizer which compensate a distortion caused by the transmission channel. Therefore, this autoencoder based system has basic advantage to the Wi-Fi system. For the comparison of the system, additive random noise and 2-wave and 4-wave multipaths are assumed in the transmission path with no inter-symbol interference. A simulation was performed to compare the conventional type and the autoencoder. As a result of the simulation, the autoencoder properly generated automatic constellations with QPSK, 16QAM, and 64QAM. In the previous simulation, the received data was relearned, thus the performance was poor, but the performance improved by making the initial value of reception a random number. A function equivalent to an equalizer for multipath channels has been realized in OFDM systems. As a future task, there is not include error correction at this time, we plan to make further improvements by incorporating error correction in the future.

In the theory of probability, a Bernoulli trial is a random experiment with exactly two possible outcomes, "success" and "failure", in which the probability of success is the same every time the experiment is conducted. In the successive games of scissors paper stone there exists the case of draw in each game. In this paper we are interested in the ultimate success probability of each participant and the expected number of the game till any one of the two has the ultimate victory. Using our results, we can calculate the ultimate winning probability of each player of the two players and the expected number of the game till any one of the two has the ultimate victory in any case whether there is draw or not in each game.

The invention of computers is one of the best things that have ever happened to mankind and undergraduate students can benefit immensely from the use of computers. However, observations have showed that in the present Nigerian society, there are a number of issues arising from unethical use of computers. Interactions with some undergraduate students revealed that a majority have fallen into the trap of unethical use of computers at one time or another. This seemingly alarming rate of unethical use of computers therefore calls for concern. A literature search has shown that awareness and perception of computer ethics have not been adequately researched within the Nigerian context. Thus, the main objective of this study was to examine the awareness and perception of computer ethics by undergraduate students in a Nigerian university. Descriptive survey research method was used and the study population was comprised of 12,894 undergraduate students of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. The multistage random sampling technique was used to select a sample size of 292 and the questionnaire was used to collect data. Findings showed that the level of awareness of respondents on issues associated with computer ethics was high (mean=45.19). A majority of the respondents had a favorable perception of computer ethics and the most prominent factor identified that could hinder adherence to computer ethics as noted by most of the respondents was the poor economic situation of the country. Part of the recommendations was that government at all levels should provide responsible and responsive leadership.

The genetic diversity of two subpopulations of Corynandra chelidonii, one of terrestrial and the other of aquatic environments, was measured with molecular markers, such as start codon targeted (SCoT), inter simple sequence repeats (ISSR), and random amplification of polymorphic DNA (RAPD). The traditional morphological traits such as habitat, habit, leaf morphology, the colour of the sepals and petals, number of stamens, and seed morphology formed the base for their realization as two varieties, C. chelidonii var. pallae and C. chelidonii var. chelidonii. The polymorphism between the two variants was 100% with the primers SCoT-2 and OPA-1 and 4, while maximum polymorphism was detected with ISSR-2, SCoT-3, and OPA-3. The study used, for the first time, more than one molecular marker to assess the genetic variation underscoring the morphological variation in Corynandra chelidonii (L.f.) Cochrane & Iltis. The study justifies the recognition of the two subpopulations of Corynandra chelidonii from aquatic and terrestrial environments as two distinct varieties, C. chelidonii var. pallae (Reddy & Raju) V.S.Raju and C. chelidonii var. chelidonii, respectively, based on the traditional taxonomic evidence.
With the purpose of determining the influence of sexual partners on the oestrous behaviour and to evaluate the accuracy of predicting the time from implant withdrawal to sexual receptivity following a treatment with Synchromate B (SMB), 15 adult Brahman cows were used in each of three phases. During phase I and n, random pairs of animals were induced to display oestrus one pair after the other at daily intervals, while in phase III, cows were induced alternately, every other day, one cow on the 1st day, two on the 3rd, one on the 5th, two on the 7th until all cows were treated. Sixty six percent of the cows in phases I and II, and 80% in phase III came into oestrous after treatment. The interval between implant withdrawal and, expected and observed oestrous was statistically different in all phases. Clustering of oestrous was evident. Cows displayed sexual receptivity within a. range of -24 to +96; -24 to +72 and -216 to +192 hours after implant withdrawal for the three phases, respectively, with a tendency for cows treated first (within treatments), to delay their oestrus signs and vice versa. In phase III, four cows showed oestrous behaviour with the implant in place. These in spite of not observing pre-ovulatory follicles. Correlation values of 0.99, 0.93 and 0.90 (P<0.05) were found respectively among treatments, between the number of cows coming into oestrus and the number of mounts observed. These findings suggest that there are social and behavioural factors in a herd that may override exogenous synchronisation treatments.

The IEEE 802.15.4a specification targets the low-rate (LR) Impulse-radio (IR) ultra-wideband (UWB) system which is now widely applied in the WPANs considering rather short distance communications with low complexity and power consumption. The physical (PHY) layer uses concatenated coding with mixed binary phase-shift keying and binary pulse-position modulation (BPSK-BPPM), and direct sequence spreading with time hopping in order that both coherent and non-coherent receiver architectures are supported. In this paper, the performances of multiple access schemes compliant with IEEE 802.15.4a specification are investigated with energy detection receiver, which allow avoiding the complex channel estimation needed by a coherent receiver. However, the performance of energy detection receiver is severely degraded by multi-user interference (MUI), which largely diminishes one of the most fascinating advantages of UWB, namely robustness to MUI as well as the possibility to allow parallel transmissions. So as to improve the performance of multiple access schemes, we propose to apply the novel TH sequences as well as to increase the number of TH positions. The simulation results show that our novel multiple access schemes significantly improve the performance against MUI.
The wireless sensor networks (WSNs) became a very essential tool in borders and military zones surveillance, for this reason specific applications have been developed. Surveillance is usually accomplished through the deployment of nodes in a random way providing heterogeneous topologies. However, the process of the identification of all nodes located on the network's outer edge is very long and energy-consuming. Before any other activities on such sensitive networks, we have to identify the border nodes by means of specific algorithms. In this paper, a solution is proposed to solve the problem of energy and time consumption in detecting border nodes by means of node selection. This mechanism is designed with several starter nodes in order to reduce time, number of exchanged packets and then, energy consumption. This method consists of three phases: the first one is to detect triggers which serve to start the mechanism of boundary nodes (BNs) detection, the second is to detect the whole border, and the third is to exclude each BN from the routing tables of all its neighbors so that it cannot be used for the routing.

This study aims to analysis of suspended-load concentration in related to those data by measuring vertical sediments distribution with rainfall using the ASM (Argus Surface Meter)- IV at the channel reach of a upstream and a downstream in small river. The watershed, small river basin where had taken for experimental study was selected, which is a drainage area lied at Walha in Yunkee-Gun, Chungnam Province. Measured data of suspended-load concentration consists of two groups with 2,145 data during 1hr 11min 30sec and 1,216 data during 40min 32sec for measuring time of 2 second in the study reaches at river, respectively. In order to analyze of the vertical concentration distribution, using the data sets are selected the measuring time 16 sets one of these data by random in the study reaches. As a results, the Rouse number of a measured and a calculated value show that a rang of $0.00129{\sim}0.02394$, averaged value of 0.01129 md, a rang of $0.00118{\sim}0.00822$, averaged value of 0.00436 in upstream reaches, and also a rang of $0.065115{\sim}0.065295$, averaged value of 0.06521, and a rang of $0.057315{\sim}0.059109$, averaged value of 0.05795 in downstream reaches, respectively. These difference show that measured Rouse number compared with downstream reach errors of less than in upstream reach, but between measured and calculated of the Rouse number compared with downstream reach errors of more than in upstream reach, respectively. It seems to will be included one of the occurrence errors of variable estimations when Rouse number of calculated value to be made computed by the fall velocity with a high temperature of water using equation of empirical kinematic viscosity was derived in this study.
