고에너지 방사선치료용 on-line 선량측정시스템을 위한 알고리즘의 개발 (Development of the Algorithm for On-line Dosimetry System for High Energy Radiation Treatment)

  • 목적 : 고에너지 방사선치료용 on-line 선량측정시스템의 개발의 일부로서, 측정된 투과선량을 이용하여 종양선량을 계산하는데 필요한 알고리즘의 개발이 목적이다. 방법 첫번째로 다양한 크기의 조사야 (FS), 다양한 두께의 phantom (Tp), 다양한 거리의 phantom to chamber distance (PCD)에서 6 MV 및 10 MV X-선에 대하여 특수 제작한 water phantom을 대상으로 phantom의 후방에서 투과선량을 측정하여 기본적인 beam data를 얻었다. 선원-측정기간 거리는 150cm으로 고정시켰다. 측정은 0.125cc ion chamber를 이용하였다. 두번째로 노출환경 (조사야의 크기, phantom의 두께, PCD)과 측정치와의 상관관계에 대한 알고리즘을 개발하고, 마지막으로 측정치와 알고리즘에 의한 예상치를 비교하여 알고리즘의 정확성을 평가하였다. 결과 : 측정데이터를 이용하여 회귀분석을 시행해서 두가지 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 알고리즘 1은 PCD에 대한 2차 함수와 A/P (area-perimeter ratio)에 대한 3차 함수로 이루어져 있으며, 알고리즘 2는 log(A/P)에 대한 3차 함수와 PCD에 대한 3차 함수로 이루어져 있다. 알고리즘 1에서는 측정치와 예상치의 오차가 1.0% 미만이었고, 알고리즘 2에서는 측정치와 예상치의 오차가 거의 0.5% 미만이었다. 또한 알고리즘 2는 알고리즘 1을 사용할 때보다 적은 data를 가지고서도 더욱 정확하게 fitting 할 수 있었다. 따라서 fitting 상수들을 구하는데 필요한 측정시간을 알고리즘 1을 사용할 때보다 반으로 줄일 수 있었다. 결론 : phantom의 후방에서 측정한 투과선량을 이용하여, 임의의 Tp, PCD, FS에서 투과선량을 정확하게 예측할 수 있는 두가지의 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 향후 보조 장치에 의한 영향, 조사야 차폐의 영향, 신체조직의 조직특성 (불균일도, inhomogeneity), 신체 형태의 굴곡에 대한 연구를 완성하면 매치료시마다 종양에 흡수된 방사선량을 확인할 수 있는 on-line dosimetry가 가능할 것이다.

  • Teaching Expert System/World Coordinate System(TES/WDS) was proposed to improve robot motion control. First, precise coordinate reading for getting the inherent data about position and posture of task objects was performed throgh the integrated image and fuzzy processing. Second, singularity and parameter limitation problems in getting the motion data about position and posture of robot in macro motion were solved by proposed geometric algorithm. Third, the unnecessary robot motion was also removed by the Robot Time and Motion (RTM) method and the Multi-Geometric Straight-Line Motion (MGSLM) method in micro motion. This results demonstrated reduction of the average teaching task time according to task order.

Systematic Approach for Detecting Text in Images Using Supervised Learning

  • Locating text data in images automatically has been a challenging task. In this approach, we build a three stage system for text detection purpose. This system utilizes tensor voting and Completed Local Binary Pattern (CLBP) to classify text and non-text regions. While tensor voting generates the text line information, which is very useful for localizing candidate text regions, the Nearest Neighbor classifier trained on discriminative features obtained by the CLBP-based operator is used to refine the results. The whole algorithm is implemented in MATLAB and applied to all images of ICDAR 2011 Robust Reading Competition data set. Experiments show the promising performance of this method.

마그네슘 페라이트에서 강자성 공명의 시료 크기 의존성 연구 (A Study on Sample Size Dependence of Ferromagnetic Resonance in Polycrystalline Magnesium Ferrites)

  • Sample size effect on ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) in polycrystalline MgFe2O4 has been investigated. The signal intensity (SI), resonance field (Hres) and line width (ΔH) were found to increase proportionally to r3 with the increase of sample radius. The r3-depencence of SI means the complete penetration of rf-field into the sample, and the broadening of ΔH due to the sample size appears to be closely related to the amount of scattering sources like pores. Meanwhile, the values of Hres (0) and ΔH (0) obtained by extrapolating the data of Hres (r) and ΔH (r) measured at several sizes to r=0, were in good agreement with those calculated using the Schlomann's equations for internal field and ΔH, respectively. This result indicates that the discrepancy between the measured FMR parameters and those calculated by Schlomann's equation could be ascribed to the effect of sample size. Thus it is suggested that the size effect on FMR should be removed for the analysis of the FMR parameters. Meanwhile, our result for the size dependance of ΔH was found to be contradictory to those reported by Dionne, where ΔH 1/r at a given surface roughness. This discrepancy appears to arise from the difference in the definition of reading the line width.

  • In the vibrant environment, documentation and managing systems are maintained autonomously through education foundations, book materials and libraries at the same time as information are not voluntarily accessible in a centralized location. At the moment Libraries are providing online resources and services for education activities. Moreover, libraries are applying outlets of social media such as Facebook as well as Instagrams to preview their services and procedures. Librarians with the assistance of promising tools and technology like analytics software are capable to accumulate more online information, analyse them for incorporating worth to their services. Thus Libraries can employ big data to construct enhanced decisions concerning collection developments, updating public spaces and tracking the purpose of library book materials. Big data is being produced due to library digitations and this has forced restrictions to academicians, researchers and policy creator's efforts in enhancing the quality and effectiveness. Accordingly, helping the library clients with research articles and book materials that are in line with the users interest is a big challenge and dispute based on Taibah university in Saudi Arabia. The issues of this domain brings the numerous sources of data from various institutions and sources into single place in real time which can be time consuming. The most important aim is to reduce the time that lapses among the authentic book reading and searching the specific study material.

핫스팟 접근영역 인식에 기반한 바이너리 코드 역전 기법을 사용한 저전력 IoT MCU 코드 메모리 인터페이스 구조 연구 (Low-Power IoT Microcontroller Code Memory Interface using Binary Code Inversion Technique Based on Hot-Spot Access Region Detection)

  • Microcontrollers (MCUs) for endpoint smart sensor devices of internet-of-thing (IoT) are being implemented as system-on-chip (SoC) with on-chip instruction flash memory, in which user firmware is embedded. MCUs directly fetch binary code-based instructions through bit-line sense amplifier (S/A) integrated with on-chip flash memory. The S/A compares bit cell current with reference current to identify which data are programmed. The S/A in reading '0' (erased) cell data consumes a large sink current, which is greater than off-current for '1' (programmed) cell data. The main motivation of our approach is to reduce the number of accesses of erased cells by binary code level transformation. This paper proposes a built-in write/read path architecture using binary code inversion method based on hot-spot region detection of instruction code access to reduce sensing current in S/A. From the profiling result of instruction access patterns, hot-spot region of an original compiled binary code is conditionally inverted with the proposed bit-inversion techniques. The de-inversion hardware only consumes small logic current instead of analog sink current in S/A and it is integrated with the conventional S/A to restore original binary instructions. The proposed techniques are applied to the fully-custom designed MCU with ARM Cortex-M0$^{TM}$ using 0.18um Magnachip Flash-embedded CMOS process and the benefits in terms of power consumption reduction are evaluated for Dhrystone$^{TM}$ benchmark. The profiling environment of instruction code executions is implemented by extending commercial ARM KEIL$^{TM}$ MDK (MCU Development Kit) with our custom-designed access analyzer.

  • 영상회의 시스템을 인터넷상에서 다양하게 사용하려는 시도가 이루어지고 있다. 이런 부분의 연구는 오디오, 비디오 압축 기법, 멀티미디어 데이터의 동기화, 다자간의 영상회의를 지원하기 위한 IP multicast의 Mbone의 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있고, 통신의 회선속도가 고속화됨에 따라 인터넷에서 영상을 통한 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스가 이루머지고 있다. 개방형 분산 인터넷 통신망 환경에서의 영상회의는 영상회의 데이터인 영상 및 음성 보안에 대한 문제가 심각하게 대두된다. 본 논문에서는 영상회의에서 멀티미디어 데이터의 특성에 따른 보안 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

  • We have developed MSPF (measurement system for physical fitness) which measures physical strength and body dimensions. This system has two main features, one is an automatic measurement of physical fitness, and the other is reducement of reading and writing errors caused by human during measurement. Using the MSPF, total ten items can be measured such as weight, height, sit up, push up,. etc. Since the system which have objectification and high precision has been needed, we used a memory card. By using this, it was easy to save and archive data by computer.

전력선을 이용한 ASK통신 모뎀에 관한 연구 (A Study on the ASK Communication Modem over Electrical Power Lines)

  • 전력선은 동축선이나 광섬유 링크와는 대조적으로 제한된 전송전력, 높은 부하 간섭과 잡음, 가변하는 감쇠 및 임피던스 레벨 등의 문제를 안고 있으나, 별도의 통신선로가 필요없이 신호와 전원을 동시에 제공 할수 있는 잇점이 있으므로 가정 자동화 및 근거리 통신 목적으로 가치 있는 채널을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 220V의 AC전력선을 이용하여 1200bps의 디지털 신호를 송수신할 수 있는 OOK BASK모뎀을 구현하였다. 수신 신호의 복조를 위해 비동기 검파 방식을 택하였으며, 연성판정(soft decision)을 수행하였다. 대부분의 과정을 단일 칩 마이크로 프로세서를 이용하여 하드웨어를 대폭 간소화하였다. 또한 유럽의 표준인 CENELEC의 규격에 적합하도록 설계되었으며, 가정 자동화 시스템으로 적절히 응용될 수 있음을 확인하였다.
