With the development of the technology of underwater moving bodies, the need for developing the knowledge of surface effect interaction of free surface and underwater moving bodies is increased. Hence, the two-phase flow is a subject which is interesting for many researchers all around the world. In this paper, the non-linear free surface deformations which occur during the water-exit of a circular cylinder due to its buoyancy are solved using finite volume discretization based code, and using Volume of Fluid (VOF) scheme for solving two phase flow. Dynamic mesh model is used to simulate dynamic motion of the cylinder. In addition, the effect of cylinder mass in presence of an external force is studied. Moreover, the oblique exit and entry of a circular cylinder with two exit angles is simulated. At last, water-exit of a circular cylinder in six degrees of freedom is simulated in 3D using parallel processing. The simulation errors of present work (using VOF method) for maximum velocity and height of a circular cylinder are less than the corresponding errors of level set method reported by previous researchers. Oblique exit shows interesting results; formation of waves caused by exit of the cylinder, wave motion in horizontal direction and the air trapped between the waves are observable. In 3D simulation the visualization of water motion on the top surface of the cylinder and the free surface breaking on the front and back faces of the 3D cylinder at the exit phase are observed which cannot be seen in 2D simulation. Comparing the results, 3D simulation shows better agreement with experimental data, specially in the maximum height position of the cylinder.
Electromagnetic (EM) waves used to send signals under seawater are normally restricted to low frequencies (f) because of sudden exponential increases of attenuation (𝛼) at higher f. The mathematics of EM wave propagation in seawater demonstrate dependence on relative permeability (𝜇r), relative permittivity (𝜀r), conductivity (𝜎), and f of transmission. Estimation of 𝜀r and 𝜎 based on the W. Ellison interpolation model was performed for averaged real-time data of temperature (T) and salinity (S) from 1955 to 2012 for all oceans with 41 088 latitude/longitude points and 101 depth points up to 5500 m. Estimation of parameters such as real and imaginary parts of 𝜀r, 𝜀r', 𝜀r", 𝜎, loss tangent (tan 𝛿), propagation velocity (Vp), phase constant (𝛽), and α contributes to absorption loss (La) for seawater channels carried out by using normal distribution fit in the 3 GHz-40 GHz f range. We also estimated total path loss (LPL) in seawater for given transmission power Pt and antenna (dipole) gain. MATLAB is the simulation tool used for analysis.

A set of experiments (Shallow Water 2006, SW06) was carried out in shallow water near the New Jersey shelf break in summer 2006. Significant fluctuations in direct and surface reflected arrivals were observed from the chirp data (1100~2900 Hz) measured on a vertical line array. This paper presents a geoacoustic inverssion technique for short-range acoustic data with fluctuating arrivals and inversion results of experimental data. In order to reduce effects of random sea surface on the inversion, the acoustic energy back-propagated from the array to the source through direct and bottom-reflected paths is defined as the objective function. A multi-step inversion scheme is applied to the data using VFSR (Very Fast Simulated Reannealing) optimization technique. The inversion results show a source depth oscillation period equal to the measured ocean surface wave period. The inverted bottom sound speed is 1645 m/s and is similar to that estimated by other work at the same site.
The acoustic parabolic equation method in the ocean is an efficient technique to calculate the acoustic field in the range-dependent environment, emanating from a point source. However, we often need to use the directional source with a main beam in the practical problem. In this paper, we present two methods to implement the directional source in the acoustic parabolic equation code easily. One is simply to filter the Delta function idealized as an omni-directional point source. Another method is based on the rational filtering of the self-starter solution. It has a limitation not to separate the up-going and the down-going wave for the depth, but would be useful in implementing the mode propagation. Numerical examples for validation are given in the Pekeris environment and the deep sea environment.

In offshore area, newly deposited Quaternary loose seabed soils are widely distributed. There are a great number of offshore structures has been built on them in the past, or will be built on them in the future due to the fact that there would be no very dense seabed soil foundation could be chosen at planed sites sometimes. However, loosely deposited seabed foundation would bring great risk to the service ability of offshore structures after construction. Currently, the understanding on wave-induced liquefaction mechanism in loose seabed foundation has been greatly improved; however, the recognition on the consolidation characteristics and settlement estimation of loose seabed foundation under offshore structures is still limited. In this study, taking a semi-coupled numerical model FSSI-CAS 2D as the tool, the consolidation and settlement of loosely deposited sandy seabed foundation under an offshore breakwater is investigated. The advanced soil constitutive model Pastor-Zienkiewics Mark III (PZIII) is used to describe the quasi-static behavior of loose sandy seabed soil. The computational results show that PZIII model is capable of being used for settlement estimation problem of loosely deposited sandy seabed foundation. For loose sandy seabed foundation, elastic deformation is the dominant component in consolidation process. It is suggested that general elastic model is acceptable for subsidence estimation of offshore structures on loose seabed foundation; however, Young's modulus E must be dependent on the confining effective stress, rather than a constant in computation.

A suitability analysis for marine afforestation was carried out on physical items based on slop rate, bottom sediment, light intensity, velocity, and wave at north Geomoon waters in Korea. The data from each physical item were changed to a GSDM (Gridded Spatial Distribution Map) using Kriging interpolation. A GSDM grid includes information, and each grid was given a SI (suitability index) of 3 grades(SI of first suitability was 100, SI of second suitability was 50, and non-suitability had no SI). According to the analysis results of all overlaid GSDM, first suitability had 500 SI, and suitability area was 0.25ha. Second and third suitability had 400~450 SI, and suitability area was 2.36ha, 1.80ha, respectively. Therefore, the results suggest that reefs installed for marine afforestation should be anti-slip types against steep slope, and the target species need to include algae with low compensation light intensity in second and third suitability.

In this paper, we studied the RF characteristics of a voltage-controlled artificial transmission line employing periodically arrayed diodes for application to highly miniaturized wireless communication systems on an MMIC (monolithic microwave integrated circuit). According to the results, the novel voltage-controlled artificial transmission line employing periodically arrayed diodes exhibited a short wave length, which was only 35.2% that of the conventional transmission line, owing to increasing capacitance. In addition, it's effective permittivity and effective propagation constant exhibited considerably higher values than those of the conventional transmission line. Furthermore, attenuation constant of the voltage-controlled artificial transmission line was far higher than that of the conventional transmission line. Using the closed-form equation, we theoretically analyzed the equivalent circuit of the voltage-controlled artificial transmission line.
The appeal of sauna is caused by the fact that through that, one can feel Korea's unique temperament and culture; however, because of its being a public facility and flooding of businesses due to excessive supplies of various additional features such as washing, playing, eating, sleeping and health care functions, issues of social resources and environment come to the fore, so it has reached a situation of red ocean that it is difficult to enter the market anymore. Taking these into account, this study focused on developing a thermal technology and design of the housing of an environment-friendly mobile home sauna, making the most use of the sauna's fundamental purpose and settling it as a tourist product, analyzing the marketing research on the existing sauna and considering the recent housing trends and lifestyles for a new concept sauna. Thus, regarding its characteristics and utilization, it was designed smaller than $10m^2$ (3 pyeong) so that it would be easy to install in any space and convenient to move. It can be installed in separate buildings and rest spaces such as country houses, resorts, pensions, camping grounds as well as outdoor houses, custom produced for a measure of pyeong that customers want so as to match up with the Enforcement Ordinance of the Agricultural Land Act in a concept of the farmer's hut and kitchen, bathroom and bathroom can be installed inside according to an option. In addition, regarding its efficacy, in order to give environment-friendly healing effects, materials such as Hinoki Cypress, red clay and hardwood charcoal were used, a fixed indoor temperature of $70{\sim}100^{\circ}C$ was maintained by heating methods such as electromagnetic wave free, energy saving and low-power boiler, and it was made to have excellent effects on fatigue recovery, relieving stress, skin care and diet through far-infrared emission.

Acoustic Target Strength (TS) is a major parameter of the active sonar equation, which indicates the ratio of the radiated intensity from the source to the re-radiated intensity by a target. In developing a TS equation, it is assumed that the radiated pressure is known and the re-radiated intensity is unknown. This research provides a TS equation for polygonal plates, which is applicable to near field acoustics. In this research, Helmholtz-Kirchhoff formula is used as the primary equation for solving the re-radiated pressure field; the primary equation contains a surface (double) integral representation. The double integral representation can be reduced to a closed form, which involves only a line (single) integral representation of the boundary of the surface area by applying Stoke's theorem. Use of such line integral representations can reduce the cost of numerical calculation. Also Kirchhoff approximation is used to solve the surface values such as pressure and particle velocity. Finally, a generalized definition of Sonar Cross Section (SCS) that is applicable to near field is suggested. The TS equation for polygonal plates in near field is developed using the three prescribed statements; the redection to line integral representation, Kirchhoff approximation and a generalized definition of SCS. The equation developed in this research is applicable to near field, and therefore, no approximations are allowed except the Kirchhoff approximation. However, examinations with various types of models for reliability show that the equation has good performance in its applications. To analyze a general shape of model, a submarine type model was selected and successfully analyzed.

The work of VLCC SPM mainly is accomplished on the open sea On the open sea as a result of meteorological condition and the ocean wave influence, When the weather condition is get bed, peremptorily moving to the safety place, because of the gale and the billow, almost happened frequently, the pilot is unable to go on board and the tug is also unable to be used Now bemuse of the bad weather the VLCC SPM moving to the other safety place frequently happened in the ulsan port. the construction of new harbor, it constructed many break water around SPM. So that it is necessary to propose the new standard about how to maneuvering area actually. Now our country is at the blank stage about the establishment of SPM research Most of the situations are refer to overseas standard But these standards lack of consistency and clarity. So when moving to the other safety place from SPM, we must carry through the researching and study on the ships using by sailing data of AIS. we must put forward a new standard about maneuvering area of ship in moving at SPM.
