This study were made through two class participation observation and six video analysis. In addition, we measured in-depth interviews of participants and students, a 10-week jump band training program, and applied a step-by-step physical activity program to enhance creative expressiveness. Based on the results of the study, the conclusions are as follows. First, It was found that the Jump-band training positively affects the students' speed, agility, and cardiopulmonary endurance. Second, It was found that the application of the step-by-step physical expression activity program had a positive effect on the students themselves. Third, It was found that it has an educational effect on the whole life of students beyond the curriculum and the field by attempting various fusion education. Based on this study, we propose the educational effects of the pre - curricular activities and the convergence lessons in elementary school during the follow - up research.
With advances in autonomous vehicles, there is a growing demand for more accurate position estimation. Especially, this is a case for a moving robot for the indoor operation which necessitates the higher accuracy in position estimation when the robot is required to execute the task at a predestined location. Thus, a method for improving the position estimation which is applicable to both the fixed and the moving object is proposed. The proposed method exploits the initial position estimation from Bluetooth beacon signals as observation signals. Then, it estimates the gravitational acceleration applied to each axis in an inertial frame coordinate through computing roll and pitch angles and combining them with magnetometer measurements to compute yaw angle. Finally, it refines the control inputs for an object with motion dynamics by computing acceleration on each axis, which is used for improving the performance of Kalman filter. The experimental assessment of the proposed algorithm shows that it improves the position estimation accuracy in comparison to a conventional Kalman filter in terms of average error distance at both the fixed and moving states.
In medical imaging, three-dimensional (3D) display using Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) as a portable file format can give intuitive information more efficiently on the World Wide Web (WWW). The web-based 3D visualization of functional images combined with anatomical images has not studied much in systematic ways. The goal of this study was to achieve a simultaneous observation of 3D anatomic and functional models with planar images on the WWW, providing their locational information in 3D space with a measuring implement using VRML. MRI and ictal-interictal SPECT images were obtained from one epileptic patient. Subtraction ictal SPECT co-registered to MRI (SISCOM) was performed to improve identification of a seizure focus. SISCOM image volumes were held by thresholds above one standard deviation (1-SD) and two standard deviations (2-SD). SISCOM foci and boundaries of gray matter, white matter, and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the MRI volume were segmented and rendered to VRML polygonal surfaces by marching cube algorithm. Line profiles of x and y-axis that represent real lengths on an image were acquired and their maximum lengths were the same as 211.67 mm. The real size vs. the rendered VRML surface size was approximately the ratio of 1 to 605.9. A VRML measuring tool was made and merged with previous VRML surfaces. User interface tools were embedded with Java Script routines to display MRI planar images as cross sections of 3D surface models and to set transparencies of 3D surface models. When transparencies of 3D surface models were properly controlled, a fused display of the brain geometry with 3D distributions of focal activated regions provided intuitively spatial correlations among three 3D surface models. The epileptic seizure focus was in the right temporal lobe of the brain. The real position of the seizure focus could be verified by the VRML measuring tool and the anatomy corresponding to the seizure focus could be confirmed by MRI planar images crossing 3D surface models. The VRML application developed in this study may have several advantages. Firstly, 3D fused display and control of anatomic and functional image were achieved on the m. Secondly, the vector analysis of a 3D surface model was defined by the VRML measuring tool based on the real size. Finally, the anatomy corresponding to the seizure focus was intuitively detected by correlations with MRI images. Our web based visualization of 3-D fusion image and its localization will be a help to online research and education in diagnostic radiology, therapeutic radiology, and surgery applications.
With increasing interest, there have been studies on LiDAR(Light Detection And Ranging)-based DEM(Digital Elevation Model) to acquire three dimensional topographic information. For producing LiDAR DEM with better accuracy, Filtering process is crucial, where only surface reflected LiDAR points are left to construct DEM while non-surface reflected LiDAR points need to be removed from the raw LiDAR data. In particular, the changes of input values for filtering algorithm-constructing parameters are supposed to produce different products. Therefore, this study is aimed to contribute to better understanding the effects of the changes of the levels of GroundFilter Algrothm's Mean parameter(GFmn) embedded in FUSION software on the accuracy of the LiDAR DEM products, using LiDAR data collected for Hwacheon, Yangju, Gyeongsan and Jangheung watershed experimental area. The effect of GFmn level changes on the products' accuracy is estimated by measuring and comparing the residuals between the elevations at the same locations of a field and different GFmn level-produced LiDAR DEM sample points. In order to test whether there are any differences among the five GFmn levels; 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9, One-way ANOVA is conducted. In result of One-way ANOVA test, it is found that the change in GFmn level significantly affects the accuracy (F-value: 4.915, p<0.01). After finding significance of the GFmn level effect, Tukey HSD test is also conducted as a Post hoc test for grouping levels by the significant differences. In result, GFmn levels are divided into two subsets ('7, 5, 9, 3' vs. '1'). From the observation of the residuals of each individual level, it is possible to say that LiDAR DEM is generated most accurately when GFmn is given as 7. Through this study, the most desirable parameter value can be suggested to produce filtered LiDAR DEM data which can provide the most accurate elevation information.
Interspecific hybrids between Aspergillus niger and Penicillium notatum (Tyr-), hyperlipolytic enzyme-producing fungi, were obtained by nuclear transfer technique. Optimal conditions for formation of intergeneric hybrids were investigated. Maximum production of protoplasts was obtained by 1% Novozyme 234 at $30^{\circ}C$ for 3 hrs and the most effective osmotic stabilizers for the isolation of protoplasts were 0.6 M KCl. Frequencies of hybrid formation by nuclear transfer were $3.8{\times}10^{-3}{\sim}1.3{\times}10^{-3}$. From the observation of genetic stability, conidial size, DNA content, and nuclear stain, it was suggested that their karyotypes are aneuploid. The hybrids showed $1.2{\sim}1.7$ fold higher lipase activities than parental strains. It was strongly supported by results of this study that nuclear transfer technique is much more efficient in the formation of intergeneric hybrids than protoplast fusion and is very useful for the improvement of strains.

According to the cognitive conflict process model, student anxiety factor is known to have both positive and negative effects on student response behaviors in a conflict situation for conceptual change learning. However, there is little research that reveals what type of anxiety, either constructive or destructive, is related when conducting step-by-step experiments to resolve cognitive conflicts. This study attempted to learn the characteristic of explanatory hypothesis according to anxiety type after conducting five step-by-step experiments related to action and reaction concept. Results found that students who belonged to the types of 'conviction in logical misconception', 'insisting on additional variables', and 'reasonable modification' suggested explanatory hypothesis close to physical nature. On the other hand, those who showed the other five types of anxiety ('compatible predictions', 'dependence on others', 'fusion of past experience', 'lack of confidence', and 'conflict with past experience') suggested temporary supported hypothesis or simple explanatory hypothesis according to student intuition and simple observation. These results indicate that students in the above-mentioned five categories need more external interactions with instructors based on the type of anxiety related to student behavior. In addition, the results present student characteristics which instructors should be more attentive to when using step-by-step experiments to resolve cognitive conflicts.
The effect of diphtheria toxin on cell membrane lipids was studied by examining the phospholipase D (PLD) activity and free fatty acids (FFA) release in HepG2 cells. The diphtheria toxin effects on lipid alteration show apparently maximal at pH 5.1, stimulating PLD activity nearly 3.5 fold and enhancing FFA release approximately 5 fold over the control. These results indicate that the membrane is perturbed and its lipid component is rearranged during the diphtheria toxin translocation. Digitonin, a random membrane perturbing detergent, exhibit about four-fold higher perturbation effect over the diphtheria toxin at neutral pH. This observation suggests that the membrane perturbation induced by diphtheria toxin appears to be rather selective. To investigate the cause of the membrane perturbation, Cibacron blue, an inhibitor of membrane pore formation, and hemagglutinin, an influenza virus with fusion peptide, were tested for their effects on diphtheria toxin action. Cibacron blue decreased the diphtheria toxin effect by almost 50%, but the lipid alteration induced by hemagglutinin was similar to the diphtheria toxin effect. These observations imply that the membrane perturbation induced by diphtheria toxin may be caused by a combination of pore formation and insertion of hydrophobic peptide of toxin to the membrane as well. Additionally, we found that the diphtheria toxin increased the HepG2 cells permeability but the cells viability was maintained at high level at the same time. DNA fragmentation which is related to apoptosis was not induced by the toxin. Under these conditions, we could demonstrate that the lipid alteration of HepG2 cells was brought about by diphtheria toxin at acidic pH.

Development and validation of crop models often require measurements of biomass for the crop of interest. Considerable efforts would be needed to obtain a reasonable amount of biomass data because the destructive sampling of a given crop is usually used. The Kinect sensor, which has a combination of image and depth sensors, can be used for estimating crop biomass without using destructive sampling approach. This approach could provide more data sets for model development and validation. The objective of this study was to examine the applicability of the Kinect sensor for estimation of chinese cabbage fresh weight. The fresh weight of five chinese cabbage was measured and compared with estimates using the Kinect sensor. The estimates were obtained by scanning individual chinese cabbage to create point cloud, removing noise, and building a three dimensional model with a set of free software. It was found that the 3D model created using the Kinect sensor explained about 98.7% of variation in fresh weight of chinese cabbage. Furthermore, the correlation coefficient between estimates and measurements were highly significant, which suggested that the Kinect sensor would be applicable to estimation of fresh weight for chinese cabbage. Our results demonstrated that a depth sensor allows for a non-destructive sampling approach, which enables to collect observation data for crop fresh weight over time. This would help development and validation of a crop model using a large number of reliable data sets, which merits further studies on application of various depth sensors to crop dry weight measurements.

The purpose of this study os to investigative the effect of Carrageenan-Induced Pain on lower limb muscle and ligament of rat. To evaluate pain mechanism in muscle and ligament, pain was induced by the injection of 2% $0.1m{\ell}$ carrageenan into the left lower limb muscle of rats after rats were anesthesized with 3% enflurane. Rats were killed on 72 hours after pain induction under the anesthesia. anterior rectus femoris muscle and its ligament were removed from rat hind limb. Morphological changes of them were peformed by the observation of light and electron microscopes. In the light microscopic findings, the muscle cells were polyheadral and situated with each other without small gap in control group. nucleus of cell was seen along the cell margin, and muscle cell groups were divided by regular narrow gap in cross section. In the pain-induced group, muscle cell groups were divided each other by the irregular gap, and some of groups formed larger than other cell groups by the fusion. Intercellular gap of most cell groups were increased compared with control groups. And also, perimysium of muscle cell groups was swollen in cross section. In control group, muscle cells contacted each other closely and each cell was divided by perimysium. The intracellular gaps were not seen between myofibrills, and also striations were well defined between muscle cells in longitudinal section. In pain-induced group, muscle cells were divided by the small intracellular gaps. And also, muscle cell showed many a short cross or longitudinal intercellular gaps in longitudinal section. In light microscopic findings of control group, tendon was composed with many tendon fibers contacted each other closely without gap. The free margin of tendon was fused, and apso the tendon fibers did not invaded between muscles. In pain-induced group, tendon was divided small groups by intertendinous gap, and also the margin of tendon divided by small groups. In the free margin, tendon invaded into muscle cells, and also fibroblasts between tendon fibers were long and lance-shaped. From these results, it is suggested that pain induction by carrageenan injured rat skeletal muscle and ligament by the morphological changes.
It is well known that the duodenum of mice or rats infected with Fibricoln seoulensis shows atrophy of villi (shortening, blunting, widening, fusion) and hyperplasia of crypts. This study was performed to observe healing process of .these pathological changes after deworming with anthelmintic treatment. Albino rats infected each with.1,000 metacercariae of F. seeulensis were treated with single dose of 10 mg/kg praziquantel on day 15 post·infection. On day 1, 3, 5, 7, 15, 21 and 28 after the treatment, they were sacrificed and their duodenums were histopathologically studied. Control (uninfected) rats showed their normal finger-like projections of duodenal villi and well arranged crypts. In comparison, untreated (infected) contiols revealed severe mucosal changes characteristic of villous atrophy and crypt hyperplasia in their duodenum. The damaged duodenal mucosa was found to restore its normal morphology after praziquantel treatment; until day 3 post-treatment the mucosa was severely atrophied; on day 5 long and slender villi sometimes appeared among the fused and stout ones; after day 15 the villi were in their normalising process. From this experiment, it was shown that the mucosal changes in the duodenum of rats caused by F. seoulensis infection were completely reversible in 21∼28 days after anthelmintic treatment.
