The purpose of this study was to investigate the mother' role appeared in Korean biographies. The method used for this study was the content analysis of the context related with mothering in Korean biographies. The categories for content analysis were pregnancy-delivery, nurturing, teaching, disciplining, interfacing between home and social institutions and counselling. It was found that the most frequent mother' role appeared in Korean biographies was nurturing role such as to care development, health and hygiene of children. And the second frequent mother's role in Korean biographies was disciplining role such as to internalization of social roles. The third role was teaching. These results have been discussed in the light of former studies, and the limits of study method also have been discussed.

Concept analysis is a strategy that examines the attributes or characteristics of a concept. It is a formal linguistic exercise to determine those defining attributes. The basic purpose of concept analysis is to clarify ambiguous concepts in theory, and to propose a precise operational definition which reflects the theoretical base of the concept. The concept of maternal role is too broad and variable in expression, therefore there has been no authentic definition nor standard opinion for this concept. The purpose of this study is to clarify the concept of maternal role which in turn will help in the development of a theory of maternal role attainment. In order to analyze the concept of maternal role, much effort was extended to look up "maternal role" in various dictionaries and literature, but only a few cases were found which listed this terminology. Consultation on the meaning of "mother" and "role" separately was then done and consequently a definition of "maternal role" was obtained through concept analysis of these two words independently, finding their attributes and unifying them. The attributes of the concept of maternal role which was analyzed based on the steps of concept analysis by Walker & Avant (1988) are : 1) Women who have pregnancies 2) Women who have a child 3) Women who rear a child 4) Expected behavior according to social status 5) Learning through social cultures 6) Social interrelationships. The antecedents of the maternal role are : 1) women who are pregnant and deliver a baby, must keep in contact with their child. 2) Circumstances for childrearing must be provided. 3) Formation of self-concept as mother should be developed, cognitive activity, which is necessary for the nurturing activity, financial support and preparation of childrearing should be provided. And the consequences of the maternal role are : 1) Improvement 2) Changeability 3) Ambiguity 4) Stability Through this concept analysis, the concept of the maternal role is defined as "expected behavior by social interrelationships and learned nurturing behavior through social cultures."

The Purpose of this study is to investigate the father's role of childrearing appeared in Korean central daily newspapers. The method used for this study is the content analysis of the articles related with childrearing in Dong-a ilbo and Cho-seun ilbo from 1920's to 1970's. It is found that the articles dealt with childrearing were concerned on childrearing practices conformable with social change for industrial capitalization during twentieth century of Korea. These articles dealt with problems of practices in nurturing, teaching, diciplining and interfacing between home and institutional education of school. It is found that the father's role of childrearing were gender-nonspecipic.

The purpose of this study is to provide basic data that mother's smart phone overdependence prevention education are needed by confirming the relationship between mother' s smartphone overdependence and parent role intelligence. The research subjects were 220 mothers of 0-2 years old who are attending 15 day care centers in Cheong-ju, Chung-buk. The research tool used smartphone overdependence scale, and parent role intelligence scale. For the analysis of the study, frequency analysis, Pearson's Ratio correlation and regression analysis were performed. The results showed that mother's smartphone overdependence was negatively correlated with parental role intelligence and negatively correlated with developmental stimulation, parenting, support, and management. The multiple regression analysis showed that there was a significant negative effect on the smartphone overdependency, parent role intelligence, and sub factors. This suggests that smartphone overdependence prevention education for mother should be needed for nurturing of desirable infants.

Star characters play a key role in the background of contents that secure global competitiveness. In this study, we study the growth factors and transitional forms of Nintendo Super Mario Bros. and suggest the direction of nurturing Korean star characters. As a result of the analysis of Super Mario Bros., it was possible to derive the growth factors of Originality, repeatability, Continuity, Pertain, and Star Fame and the transition result of step development method. Robot Taekwon V was presented as a reference model while Korean game characters with global competitiveness were excavated. Robot Taekwon V, which combines the features of friendly, unique, symbolism, and narrative, could be used to present a development model of the type of jump development. In the jump development model, character development and Upbringing, diversification of genre, pioneering of new markets combined with new technology, and fostering of characters through linkage with other industries were presented.

Objective: The study looked at the relationship between the mother's adult attachment, the children's problematic behavior and the mother's nurturing attitude. In doing so, this study tried to determine whether the mother's nurturing attitude would play a moderating role in the context of the effect of mother' adult attachment on the children's problematic behavior. Methods: we surveyed 352 mothers of 3~5 year old infants who were financially dependent on day care centers. Results: The problematic behavior of being daunted is high when mothers' adult attachment of avoidance is high and when mothers have low level of controlling pattern in their nurturing of their children. The problematic behavior of anxiety and depression was observed when adult attachment of anxiety was high and low level of controlling pattern in their nurturing. Meanwhile, when the externalized problematic behaviors were examined, no interaction effect of mothers' adult attachment and nurturing pattern was observed in all sub-levels of the children's externalized problematic behaviors. Conclusion/Implications: We could see how the influence of parenting attitude appears in mothers with unstable adult attachment. In addition, mothers with unstable adult attachment may be able to confirm that the quality of the interaction of the parent-child relationship and the form of the child's problem behavior differ according to the level of the mother's parenting attitude in the child's problem behavior. The results of this study showed that mothers with unstable adult attachment differed in the form of problem behaviors of infants according to mother's parenting attitude in infant problem behaviors.

Purpose: This study was conducted to classify the subjective perception of college students on the role of parents and to identify the characteristics of each classified type. Methods: The Q methodology was used for this study interviewing 150 college student, 70 statements were derived as a result from interviews conducted among college students. Thirty seven final Q-statements were derived by categorizing the statements based on significant similarities. The Q-statements were sorted by 37 college students. The collected data was analyzed through PC QUANL. Results: The analyzed types resulted in 4 categories:"friend-like parents type," "stability-oriented parents type," "discipline and guidance parents type", and "personality nurturing parents type." Conclusion: The result of this study can be utilized for establishing a proper role and values of parenting. It can also contribute to designing an important educational material for parental education.

The purpose of this study is to find out the explanatory power of the mother psychological characteristics (self-efficacy, self-esteem, depression, parenting stress), infant temperament, parenting look at how the variables affect the infant development. Study is an infant born in 2008, 1802 mothers name. Child Policy Research Institute Korea Children's Panel 3rd year data were used for the study. Analysis of the data was analyzed using the SPSS 18.0 correlation evaluate the direct and indirect effects between the path and the effect of each variable on infant development through Amos 16.0. The results were as follows. First, the mother significant indirect effect of mothers had a positive impact due to the influence of positive parenting Infant Development Psychological variables were mother and mediating role of parenting behavior was completely mediated in the path to infant development. Second, infant temperament and parenting mothers showed a complete mediating effect on the path to the Infant Development were significant indirect effects mediated by parenting mothers on infant development. Third, the direct effects on the mother parenting infant development showed a statistically significant result.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of child care type on infant's developmental outcomes assessed by K-ASQ, focusing on the child-centric role of nurture policy. For this, this study categorized child care type into types including home nurturing, child care center, and subtypes of each category. The findings of multiple regression analysis using the first-third wave data of Panel Study of Korean Children(PSKC) are as follows. First, the child care center experience had rather positive effect on the development of all abilities in the infants comparing to home nurturing. Second, the time of attending child care center was differently related to the development of motor, communication, and personal-social skill in infanthood. Finally, the accreditation of child care showed a difference only in terms of social development of infants. In conclusion, even if the experience of using child care center has positive impact on infant's developmental level, it is still in need of improving service quality such as reinforcing accreditation system.

The emerging competitive environment in today's global marketplace is one where businesses no longer compete with each other as autonomous, individual firms. Global, economic, and technological development pressure forces organizations to continually enhance their performance through knowledge sharing and innovativeness. The purpose of this paper is to explore the moderating role of knowledge sharing and the mediating role of innovativeness in the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational performance. The data was collected from 389 employees in Vietnamese industrial enterprises through a questionnaire survey. The information was then analyzed by explanatory factor analysis (EFA) confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) as well as structural equation modeling (SEM). The results show that the mediating role of innovativeness and the moderating role of knowledge sharing in the relationship between transformational leadership and performance, are supported. Organizations may reap the benefits of an innovative workforce by selecting, nurturing transformational leaders. This study contributes to the field of human resources management, particularly leadership, by exploring the role of transformational leadership. Moreover, this is the first study to test the moderating role of knowledge sharing and the mediating role of innovativeness in the relationship between transformational leadership and the organizational performance.
