당근 유식물체에서 자엽수와 유관속계의 관련성 (Relationship between cotyledon Number and Vascular System in Carrot Seedling)

  • Carrot seedling emgryos showing variations in cotyledon number were selected and anatomical comparisons of the embryo vascular systems were performed between the variants and normal two cotyledonary (5) embryos from 800 seedings germinated . Externally, all of the four and six cotyledonary embryos had two cotyledonary petioles. Each of the cotyledonary petioles divided into two or three on the upper part fo the petiole which result in four and six cotyledons, respectively. However, the embryos had three different cotyledonary petioles in the three cotyledonary embryos. On the basis of the pattern of vascular system, the four and six cotyledonary embryos had the same basic vascular system as fnormal two cotyledonary embryos, Therefore the cotyledon number abnormality could result from the branching split of the abnormally thickened upper part of the cotyledonary petiole. However, the three cotyledonaryembryos had a different vascular system from the normla two cotyledonary embryos. They could be regarded as different varieties form the two cotyledon embryos. All embryos observed had short cylindrical plumule sheath which formed by the fusion of the cotyledon bases. The presence of plumule sheath strontgly implied that the initiation of the cotyledons was not from the two localized primordia but from the circular proimordiu formed at the blobular stageof embryo, and it is not consistent with current views of cotyledon initiation. On the formation of the primary vascular system of carrot seedlings, it is suggested that the primary vascular system of the plumule was formed independently from that of the root-hypocotyle-cotyledon system.

  • Chemicals for cosmetics, including skin, the skin absorbs some of the research in the field of science or pharmacy recently, about the environment and the health of the heightened interest in skin absorption, and many other human attributes and absorption evaluation studies are underway in various areas. In this study, The effects of commercial permanent wave products to skin which are composed with cysteine and bases using rat. Results are as follows; the content of penetration 4 hours later with steady state and no significant changeable after 20 hours later. In cysteine groups lag time and permeability coefficient of young skin is 3.32hr and $0.102{\mu}g/cm^2{\cdot}hr$, lag time and permeability coefficient of old skin is 4.04hr and $0.106{\mu}g/cm^2{\cdot}hr$. In conclusion of study lag time and permeability coefficient in old skin and wounded skin are faster than healthy skin. We notified that fine rinkle and rash of skin were changeable in the case of treating with permanent wave drugs than normal skin.

Development and validation of FRAT code for coated particle fuel failure analysis

  • TRISO-coated particle fuel is widely used in high temperature gas cooled reactors and other advanced reactors. The performance of coated fuel particle is one of the fundamental bases of reactor safety. The failure probability of coated fuel particle should be evaluated and determined through suitable fuel performance models and methods during normal and accident condition. In order to better facilitate the design of coated particle fuel, a new TRISO fuel performance code named FRAT (Fission product Release Analysis Tool) was developed. FRAT is designed to calculate internal gas pressure, mechanical stress and failure probability of a coated fuel particle. In this paper, FRAT was introduced and benchmarked against IAEA CRP-6 benchmark cases for coated particle failure analysis. FRAT's results agree well with benchmark values, showing the correctness and satisfactory applicability. This work helps to provide a foundation for the credible application of FRAT.

정상교합자 설측치관형태 및 설측치열궁형태에 관한 연구 (A STUDY ON MORPHOLOGIC CHARACTERISTICS OF LINGUAL SURFACE OF CROWN AND LINGUAL ARCHFORM OF KOREAN ADULT WITH NORMAL OCCLUSION)

  • 한국인에게 적합한 설측교정장치와 이상적인 설측 치열궁 아치와이어 제작의 기초자료를 얻기위하여 정상교합자 경석고 모형 30개를 재료로 하여 설측치관의 형태와, 후지타 설측 브라켓을 위치시킨 모형에서 설측치열궁 형태를 조사하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 각 치아에 대한 치관의 근원심 경사도와 설면의 순설측 치관 경사도의 평균치를 얻었다. 각 치아에 대한 브라??? 위치에서 설면의 수평 및 수직적 형태를 얻은 결과 대구치, 소구치, 견치는 상하악이 비슷한 모양을 보였으며, 강하악의 중절치와 측절치도 비슷한 모양을 보여 각각 브라켓 기저부를 공유할 수 있을 것으로 나타났다. 브라켈 부착위치에서의 평균 설측치열궁 형태를 얻은 결과, 그 형태는 전치부는 반원형이며 견치와 소구치 사이에 강한 오프??? 밴드가 있는 버섯 형태로서 소구치간 및 제2소구치와 대구치간에도 오프??? 밴드가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 남녀간의 평균 설측치열궁 형태는 상악은 거의 일치하였고 하악은 여자가 남자보다 다소 작은 형태를 나타내었다.

산모(産母)와 태아(胎兒)의 혈청 Cholesterol 및 Lipoprotein에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Cholesterol and Lipoprotein in the Maternal and Fetal Serum)

  • Fifteen cases of primiparas and their offsprings (fetal cord) were investigated with regard their serum total, free and esterified cholesterol by means of Liberman Buchard reaction. The serum ${\alpha}-and\;{\beta}-lipoprotein$ were analyzed by cellulose acetate electrophoresis, and the serum atherolipid numbers were calculated on the bases of the serum total cholesterol and ${\beta}-/{\alpha}-$ lipoprotein ratio, with the following conclusion. 1.Total, free and esterified cholesterol are $178.9{\pm}25.3$, $45.1{\pm}12.6$ and $133.7{\pm}20.6\;mg.%$ in the normal control women, $201.5{\pm}29.5,\;58.7{\pm}42.1$ and $157.1{\pm}26.2\;mg.%$ in the maternal blood, showing hypercholesterolemia in the latter as compared to the former. 2. The serum total, free and esterified cholesterol in the cord blood are $94.5{\pm}20.4$, $32.9{\pm}1.5$ and $61.2{\pm}18.9mg.%$, showing hypocholesterolemia as compared to the control women and maternal blood. 3. The serum ${\alpha}-$, $pre-{\beta}$, ${\beta}-lipoprotein$ and chylomicron are $24.2{\pm}4.2$, $17.3{\pm}3.4$, $51.8{\pm}4.8$ and $6.0{\pm}1.6%$ in the normal women, whereas $14.9{\pm}2.1$, $22.2{\pm}5.1$, $58.7{\pm}3.3 and 3.1{\pm}1.2%$ in the maternal serum, $32.4{\pm}8.1$, $28.8{\pm}2.4$, $25.8{\pm}7.0$ and $3.1{\pm}0.9%$ in the cord serum, showing $hyper-{\beta}-lipoproteinemia$ in the former and $hypo-{\beta}-lipoproteinemia$ in the latter. 4. The serum atherolipid number of the normal control women, maternal cord blood are $4.21{\pm}1.24$, $8.02{\pm}1.42$ and $1.12{\pm}0.37$, showing hyperlipemia in the former and hypolipemia in latter. 5. The relative ratio of the serum free and esterified cholestrol of both normal control women and maternal blood is about 1 : 3, while that of the fetal blood about 1 : 2. 6. The relative ratioes of the serum ${\alpha}-and$ ${\beta}-lipoprotein$ in the control women is about 1 : 2, that of materna blood about 1 : 3 and that of the fetal blood about equal magnitude. 7. The serum esterified cholesterol, ${\alpha}-lipoprotein,\;{\beta}-/{\alpha}-lipoprotein$ ratio and atherolipid number fluctuates are proportionally between the maternal and fetal blood, while the serum free, total cholesterol and ${\beta}-lipoprotein$ between the two vary inversely with statistically significant corelations. 8. It is apparent from the above results that the fetal nutritional demand for lipids resulted from hypocholesterolemia and hypo ${\beta}-lipoproteinemia$ seems to be met satisfactorily by maternal hypercholesterolemia and hyper ${\beta}-lipoproteinemia$, which seems to pose a significant maternal-infant nutritional relationship. A brief ciscussion was made on these conciusion in the light of biochemistry and endocrinology.

Type-II 최적 정규기저에서 변형된 SMPO (Modified SMPO for Type-II Optimal Normal Basis)

  • 암호 활용과 코딩 이론은 유한체 $GF(2^m)$에서의 연산을 사용한다. 유한체 연산을 사용하는 분야에서 연산기의 공간, 시간 복잡도의 효율성은 메모리와 수행시간에 많은 영향을 미친다. 따라서 유한체 곱셈기를 효율적으로 구성하기 위한 노력은 계속 되고 있다. [11]에서 Massey-Omura는 정규기저를 사용하는 곱셈기를 제안했고, [1]에서 Agnew는 긴 지연시간을 갖는 Massey-Omura 곱셈기를 개선한 순차 곱셈기를 제안했다. Rayhani-Masoleh와 Hasan 그리고 S.Kwon은 Agnew의 곱셈기의 구조를 개선한 공간 복잡도를 줄인 곱셈기를 각각 제안했다[2,3]. [2]에서 Rayhani-Masoleh와 Hasan이 제안한 곱셈기의 구조는 [1]의 곱셈기보다 경로 지연시간은 약간 증가하였다. 하지만, [3]에서 S.Kwon는 [1]의 구조에서 시간 효율성의 감소가 없는 곱셈기의 구조를 제안했다. 본 논문에서는 type-II 최적 정규기저에서 S.Kwon의 곱셈기와 시간과 공간 효율성이 같은 Rayhani-Masoleh와 Hasan의 구조를 변형한 곱셈기를 제안한다.

한국인 정상교합자의 3차원 디지털 모형을 이용한 순,협측 치면 곡률 (Labial and buccal surface contours of Korean normal occlusion in a three-dimensional digital model)

  • 본 연구는 한국인의 치아형태에 적합한 브라켓 베이스를 만들기 위해 임상 치관의 순,협측 곡률을 3차원적으로 계측하여 치관의 곡률 자료를 얻고자 하였다. 정상적인 해부학적 형태를 가지는 구강모형 30쌍을 3차원 디지털 모델로 제작한 후, FA점을 기준으로 수평 기준면과 수직 기준면을 설정하였다. 이 기준면에 대한 치면의 곡선을 형성한 후, 곡률을 이차방정식의 계수로 표현하였다. 수평면과 수직면의 곡률과 FA점을 기준으로 근심과 원심, 치은측과 교합면측의 곡률을 측정한 결과, 상악견치와 상악 제2소구치 외에는 남녀간 치면 곡률의 유의한 차이가 없었다. 하악 측절치, 상악 견치, 상하악 제1, 2소구치와 제1대구치에서 근원심 또는 치은교합면측 치면 곡률의 유의한 차이가 관찰되었다 (p < 0.05). 본 연구에서 얻어진 순,협측 치면의 곡률 자료는 한국인의 치아 형태에 적합한 Straight Wire Appliance 개발의 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있다.

  • For the purpose of evaluating the effect of both direct retainer design and bony absorption degree around abutment of indirect retainer on the supporting tissue of abutment of indirect retainer, dislodging force was transmitted to unilateral distal extension RPD bases. Analysis of stress distributed within the supporting tissue around abutment of indirect retainer was carried out. Using three-dimensional photoelastic stress analysis method and the conclusion is a follows. 1. According to the extent of force which the direct retainer of the most distal abutment tooth, the amount of force transmitted to the abutment tooth of indirect retainer was small. 2. Of all the cases, Mandibular first premolar which was used abutment tooth of indirect retainer, buccal, mesial and distal sides represented compression stress and lingual side represented tensile stress. 3. The more bone resorption of abutment tooth of indirect retainer, the more distortion of buccal and distal side of abutment tooth was existed and the extent of compression stress which was existed and distal side to abutment tooth was large. 4. When the alveolar bone around the abutment with indircet retainer is normal. The amount of force transmitted on abutment with indirect retainer was small in the order of Akers clasp, RPA clasp, RPI clasp. 5. When the alveolar bone around the abutment with indirect retainer has been absorbed 20% and 30%, the amount of force transmitted on abutment with indirect retainer was small in the order of RPA calsp, RPI clasp, Akers clasp. 6. When denture is displaced, shape of the direct retainer reciprocating abutment affect much the function of indirect retainer.

정맥기형 환자에 있어서의 유전자 발현 차이 (Difference of Gene Expression in Venous Malformation)

  • Purpose: Venous malformation(VM) which often causes pain and discomfort is the most common type of vascular malformations. Although it is presented with disfigured appearance and associated soft tissue or skeletal hypertrophy, the molecular bases of VMs are poorly understood. Differentially expressed genes(DEGs) of VMs were investigated to illuminate the molecular mechanism of the disease entity. Methods: Gene expressions of VM patients' subcutaneous tissue were studied in comparison with normal persons' by $GeneFishing^{TM}$ technique using the annealing control primers (ACPs) to identify DEGs. Candidate genes were sequenced and screened by basic local alignment search tool (BLAST) afterwards. Results: Among seventy DEGs identified, forty DEGs which had shown significantly different expression pattern were sequenced. Twenty eight out of 40 were up-regulated while 12 were down-regulated. BLAST searches revealed that 37 were known genes and 3 were unknown genes. Many genes were involved in the differentiation and remodeling of smooth muscle cells, opposed to the previous hypothesis that a lot of angiogenetic genes would be involved. Furthermore, several transcription factors and related genes, as well as cell signaling and metabolism regulators, were up regulated. Conclusion: It suggests that analysis of DEGs in VMs provide basic knowledge about its pathophysiology. and new therapeutic approaches.

중풍환자(中風患者)의 상소증(上消證) 치험(治驗) 1례(例) (The clinical study on 1 case of stroke patient with symptoms of Sang-So(上消))

  • So-gal(消渴) is a oriental medical pathologic state that is characterized by 3 major symptoms - thirst, polyphasia, polyuria - of which especially thirst features Sang-so(上消). Diabetes mellitus and So-gal(消渴) have many points in common. But there are considerable differencies between them, because they have obviously different diagnostic bases from each other. That is, oriental medicine places more weight on symptoms than clinopathologic laboratory reports. This case of stroke patient complained of severe thirst and additional dryness in the mouth, choking sensation in the chest, hidrosis, insomnia, dark colored urine, constipation. The patient had no clinical history of diabetes mellitus. Based on oriental medical standards, we diagnosed the case as Sang-so(上消). Several herbal medicines were dispensed for 48 days. And considerably effective result were obtained. Object : 1 case of stroke patient who complained severe thirst. Medication : . Seonghyangjeonggisan for 5 days (2000. 6. 9 - 6. 13.) . Paljeongsan for 21 days (2000. 6. 14. -7. 5) . Ikwonsan for 8 days (2000. 7. 6 - 7. 13) . Okcheonsan for 14 days (2000. 7. 14 - 7. 27) Result : 1. After administration of Paljeongsan, dark colored urine turned normal. 2. After administration of Ikwonsan, dryness in the mouth improved. 3. After administration of Okcheonsan, thirst significantly improved. Constipation, choking sensation, hidrosis, insomnia also improved.
