The purpose of this study is to find the bond properties of deformed bars in hign-strength concrete by experimental and analytical method. In this study the following variables were adopted, i.e. (1) the compressive strength of concrete : 270, 400 and 600kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ (2) the corrosion the bars : corroded and normal bars (3) the mixing ratio of natural and smashed fine aggregate : 7 : 3 and 5 : 5 (natural sand : smashed sand) For analytical method, the finite element analysis is performed. And the Pull-out test is performed as the experimental method.
Aleurone layers of normal and vp1 mutant maize kernels were extracted and centrifuged at 100,000g to yield a cytosol fraction. Binding of [3H]ABA cis, trans (+)ABA to a soluble macromolecular components present in the cytosol was demonstrated by Sephadex chromatography and non-denaturing PAGE. The binding component was of high molecular weight and seems to be an aggregate of proteins. A rapid DEAE-cellulose filter method for assaying bound [3H]ABA to a soluble protein was adapted. Binding assays were performed with cytosol that had been preheated or incubated with several enzymes, indicating that heat and protease treatments disrupted the binding. This suggested that binding occurred to proteins. Some properties of the ABA binding proteins were described. The [3H]ABA binding were reduced dramatically when unlabeled ABA was added as a competitor, suggesting a specific binding of [3H]ABA. Gel filtration profiles and autoradiogram of [3H]ABA binding showed no difference in the binding components of Vp1 and vp1/vp1 mutant cytosol, indicating that Vp1 protein is not a sole ABA binding protein.

This study examines the stress-strain and acid-resistance of pine needle ash (PNA) concrete. Materials used for this experiment are PNA , normal portland cement, natural fine and coarse aggregate. Test results show that the highest static modulus of elasticity are achieved by 5 % PNA filled PNA concrete. Acid-resistance of PNA concrete is increased with increase of the content of PNA. It is 1.29 times of the normal cement concrete for 5 % PNA filled PNA concrete and 2.57 times fo r15% PNA filled PNA concrete, based on the elased days for 25% mass loss of original mass immersed in the 5% H2SO4 solution. Accordingly, PNA concrete will greatly improve the properties of concrete.
Self compacting concrete (SCC) has good flowability, passability and segregation resistance because of voluminous cementitious material & high coarse aggregate to fine aggregate ratio, and high free water availability. But these factors make it highly susceptible to shrinkage. Fibers are known to reduce shrinkage in concrete mixes. Until now for conserving cement, only pozzolanic materials are admixed in concrete to yield a SCC. Hence, this study compares the use of wollastonite micro fiber (WMF), a cheap pozzolanic easily processed raw mineral fiber, and flyash in yielding economical SCC for rigid pavement. Microsilica was used as a complimentary material with both admixtures. Since WMF has large surface area ($827m^2/kg$), is acicular in nature; therefore its use in yielding SCC was dubious. Binary and ternary mixes were constituted for WMF and flyash, respectively. Paste mixes were tested for compatibility with superplasticizer and trials were performed on a normal concrete mix of flexural strength 4.5 MPa to yield SCC. Flexural strength test and restrained shrinkage test were performed on those mixes, which qualified self compacting criteria. Results revealed that WMF admixed pastes have high water demand, and comparable setting times to flyash mixes. Workability tests showed that 20% WMF with microsilica (5-7.5%) is efficient enough in achieving SCC and higher flexural strength than normal concrete at 90 days. Also, stress rate due to shrinkage was lesser and time duration for final strain was higher in WMF admixed SCC which encourages its use in yielding a SCC than pozzolanic materials.

This study is to analyze effect of exposure environment and mode of ASR on the engineering properties of synthetic lightweight aggregate concrete, such as dynamic modulus of elasticity and ultrasonic pulse velocity. The results of this study are summarized as foflows ; 1. The expansion rate of each exposure environment in 380$^{\circ}$C and NaCI 4% solution was shown higher than in 20$^{\circ}$C and normal water. The expansion rate of each exposure mode was largely shown in order of fjill immersion, wetting/drying, half immersion. 2. The dynamic modulus of elasticty and ultrasonic pulse velocity of each exposure environment in 38$^{\circ}$C and NaCl 4% solution was shown less than in 20$^{\circ}$C and normal water. The dynamic modulus of elasticity and ultrasonic pulse velocity of each exposure mode was shown smaller in order of full immersion, wetting/drying, half imersion.3. The relation between dynamic modulus of elasticity and ultrasonic pulse velocity was highly significant. The dynamic modulus of elasticity was increased with increase of ultrasonic pulse velocity. The decreasing rate of the dynamic modulus of elasticity was shown 2.1~3.4 times higher than the ultrasonic pulse velocity at each age, exposure environment and mode, respectively. 4. The expansion of each exposure environment and mode was increased with increase of curing age. The dynamic modulus of elasticity and ultrasonic pulse velocity of those concrete was increased with increase of curing age. At the curing age 28 days, the highest properties was showed at each type concrete, it was gradually decreased with increase of curing age. Specially, at the curing age 98 days of full immersion, the rate of expansion of type D was shown 3.95 times higher than the type A. But the dynamic modulus of elasticity and ultrasonic pulse velocity was decreased 17% and 8.3%.

This paper is dealing with the fundamental properties of planting concrete, replacing the existing cover concrete on the roof of a building. This study is to find out the physical characteristics of the planting concrete and rearing characteristics of the grass throughout the modeling experimental materials. As the results of the experiment, the physical properties of planting concrete show the following results; when the paste to aggregate ratio is 0.2~ 0.4, voids volume : 30~17%, unit weight: 1,710~2,010kg/m3, compressive strength : 45~145kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$, its pH is more than 11, but is reduced to the proper degree for planting after being neutralized. Kentucky bluegrass covered with planting concrete is grown well. The planting concrete used with blast furnace slag cement shows a better properties at the height, the width and the covering rate by 1.1cm, 0.5mm and 7%, respectively, than those used with ordinary portland cement. Also, the less the paste to aggregate ratio is, the better the plant grows. The orders of the effects of temperature control are as follows; the system of planting concrete with grass>the system of planting concrete without grass>the system of mixed soil>the existed roof system. In case, the planting concrete is placed to the roofs of buildings instead of normal concrete slab, and a number of favorable effect can be expected such as the improvement os environmental factors, the reduction of construction cost, the saving of energy and the reduction of environment load. The future research on the change of a variety of the aggregate conditions and the application of the practical structures should be made, and also the research of the endurance also be performed.

This study was performed to evaluate applicability of recycled aggregates as subbase and surface concrete materials for cement concrete pavement. Laboratory compaction test, CBR test and plate load bearing test were conducted to evaluate applicability for pavement subbase materials. Recycled concrete for surface course was manufactured with a design strength of $280kgf/cm^2$. Normal coarse aggregate was substituted with recycled aggregates with five different ratios, 0%, 20%, 40%, 60% and 80% for recycled concrete mixes. Fresh concrete Properties, concrete strength properties for the five substitution percentages of recycled aggregates after 28-day curing and freezing-and-thawing resistance were evaluated experimentally. Based on the experimental results, it was concluded that the recycled aggregate was the material good enough to use for subbase material, and 40% or lower substitution ratio was an appropriate percentage of recycled aggregates replacement for surface concrete.

As a solution of both environmental issue of reducing carbon dioxide emission and sustainable issue of exhausting natural resources, in concrete industry, many research on recycling various by-products or industrial wastes as the concrete materials has been conducted. The aim of this research is feasibility analysis of additional reaction with ordinary Portland cement and flue gas desulfurization gypsum based on the blast furnace slag and recycled fine aggregate based mortar to achieve the normal strength range. Consequently, in the case of mortar replaced 10% FGD and 30% OPC for BS, 80% of plain OPC mortar's compressive strength was achieved. Furthermore, when the water-to-binder ratio is decreased to keep the practically similar level of flow, it is expected to be achieve the equivalent compressive strength to plain OPC mortar.
This is an experimental study on the structural characteristics of reinforced concrete beams using of the oyster shells as a substitute fine aggregate of concrete. In this study, the main factors consist of the grain sizes and the percentage of substitution of oyster shells to fine aggregate in the equal water cement ratio. The results of the study showed as followed. The initial load value of them represented similar constant within 10% of the maximum load value in each test beam. But the maximum load value and the ultimate load value decreased with increased grain size and the rate of substitution. As the grain size of oyster shells became smaller, the load values of them were somewhat higher. The deflection among deformation properties of reinforced concrete beams with oyster shells represented typical curves like that of normal reinforced concrete. In the deformation of steel and concrete, the deformation was proportionated to the load till yield point and from yield point until approaching the ultimate load point. One type was typical curve of the load and the deformation and the other type irregularly was changed to very small deformation for the load increase centering around load axis. After the analyzing structural behaviors and the properties of reinforced concrete test beams with oyster shells, the most excellent grain size of oyster shells represented 1.0mm and less or 5.0mm and less with taking uniformly, and the percentage of practicable substitution of them to fine aggregate was about 30%.
