AN EFFICIENT THIRD ORDER MANN-LIKE FIXED POINT SCHEME

  • In this paper, we introduce a Mann-like three step iteration method and show that it can be used to approximate the fixed point of a weak contraction mapping. Furthermore, we prove that this scheme is equivalent to the Mann iterative scheme. A comparison is made with the other third order iterative methods. Results are presented in a table to support our conclusion.

  • In this article, we present a new notion called "extended metric spaces of type (φ, ρ)" as a generalization of extended b-metric spaces. Also, we establish a fixed point result of a Reich-type contraction on an extended metric space of type (φ, ρ). We also provide several examples to demonstrate the significance of the established results.

  • In this paper, we introduce the notion of a new generalized type of rational F-contraction mapping. Further, the concept is used to obtain fixed points in a complete b-metric space. We also prove another unique fixed point theorem in the context of b-metric space. Our results are verified with example.

  • In this paper, the microstructure and the dielectric properties of Sr$\_$1-x/CaxTiO$_3$(0$\leq$x$\leq$0.2)-based grain boundary layer ceramics were investigated. The sintering temperature and time were 1420∼152 0$\^{C}$ and 4 hours in N$_2$ gas, respectively. The average grain size and the lattice constant were decreased with increasing content of Ca, but the average grain size was increased with increase of sintering temperature. The second phase foamed by the thermal diffusion of CuO from the surface leads to verb high apparent dielectric constant, $\xi$$\_$r/>50000 and low dielectric loss, tan$\delta$<0.05. X-ray diffraction patterns of Sr$\_$1-x/CaxTiO$_3$ exhibited cubic structure, and the peaks shifted upward and the peak intensity were decreased with x. This is due to the lattice contraction as Sr is replaced by Ca with a smaller ionic radius. The specimens treated thermal diffusion for 2hrs in 1150$\^{C}$ exhibited nonlinear current-voltage characteristic, and its nonlinear coefficient(a) was overt 7.

  • 본 논물에서는 척수 손상으로 인하여 암이 수축 및 이완시 미약한 근전도, 신호를 발생시키는 환자로부터 명확한 수축 및 이완 패턴을 추출하기 위한 신호 처리 기법을 제안하였다. 제안한 방법은 비선형 고정 필터의 일종인 FatBear 필터를 이용하여 거대 운동단위 활동전위로 의심되는 충격 잡음을 제거하고 웨이브렛 평면에서 비선형 멀티 스케일 필터링 기법을 이용하여 가산 잡음을 제거하는 것으로서 횡단성 척수염으로 인한 마미 증후근을 보이는 환자들에게 적용하여 명확한 수축 및 이완 패턴을 추출할 수 있었다.

CONTRACTION MAPPING PRINCIPLE AND ITS APPLICATION TO UNIQUENESS RESULTS FOR THE SYSTEM OF THE WAVE EQUATIONS

  • We show the existence of the unique solution of the following system of the nonlinear wave equations with Dirichlet boundary conditions and periodic conditions under some conditions $U_{tt}-U_{xx}+av^+=s{\phi}_{00}+f$ in $(-{\frac{\pi}{2},{\frac{\pi}{2}}){\times}R$, ${\upsilon}_{tt}-{\upsilon}_{xx}+bu^+=t{\phi}_{00}+g$ in $(-{\frac{\pi}{2},{\frac{\pi}{2}}){\times}R$, where $u^+$ = max{u, 0}, s, t ${\in}$ R, ${\phi}_{00}$ is the eigenfunction corresponding to the positive eigenvalue ${\lambda}_{00}$ of the wave operator. We first show that the system has a positive solution or a negative solution depending on the sand t, and then prove the uniqueness theorem by the contraction mapping principle on the Banach space.

  • We study the existence and uniqueness of fixed point for isotone mappings of any number of arguments under Geraghty-type contraction on a complete metric space endowed with a partial order. As an application of our result we study the existence and uniqueness of the solution to a nonlinear Fredholm integral equation. Our results generalize, extend and unify several classical and very recent related results in the literature in metric spaces.

  • In this paper, we introduce the concepts of an orthogonal generalized F-contraction mapping and prove some fixed point theorems for a self mapping in an orthogonal metric space. The given results are generalization and extension some of the well-known results in the literature. An example to support our result is presented.

  • In this paper, we introduce several types 𝛼-𝜓 interpolative proximal contractions and provide some sufficient conditions to prove the existence of best proximity points for these contractions in metric spaces. In the case of proximal contraction of the first kind, these metric spaces are not necessarily complete. Meanwhile, some new results can derive from our results. Finally, some examples are provided to show the validity of our results.
