IT 분야의 SSC 교육과정에 관한 연구 (A Study on tbe SSC(Subdivided-Selective Curriculum) in Field of Information Technology on University Education)

  • 대학교육에 있어서, 학습자 중심의 교육과정으로 개편하려는 노력이 이루어지고 있는데, 이러한 노력은 대학교육의 질을 제고하고 대학의 경쟁력과 학습자의 전문성을 향상시키기 위한 하나의 전략으로 평가된다. 가장 단순한 형태인 과목 중심의 운영 방식인 현재의 선택 방식을 개선한 SSC 교육과정을 제안하고 그 교육적 효과를 측정해보았다. 그 결과, SSC 교육과정을 이수한 학습자들의 학업성취도가 SC 교육과정을 이수한 학습자보다 높은 것으로 나타났다.

Changing Students' Conceptions of Mathematics through the Introduction of Variation

  • Some 400 Secondary One (i.e. seventh-grade) students from 10 schools were provided with non-routine mathematical problems in their normal mathematics classes as exercises for one academic year. Their attitudes toward mathematics, their conceptions of mathematics and their problem-solving performance were measured both in the beginning and at the end of the year. Hierarchical regression analyses revealed that the introduction of an appropriate dose of non-routine problems would generate some effects on the students' conceptions of mathematics. A medium dose of non-routine problems (as reported by the teachers) would result in a change of the students' conception of mathematics to perceiving mathematics as less of "a subject of calculables." On the other hand, a high dose would lead students to perceive mathematics as more useful and more as a discipline involving thinking. However, with a low dose of non-routine problems, students found mathematics more "friendly" (free from fear). It is therefore proposed that the use of non-routine mathematical problems to an appropriate extent can induce changes in students' "lived space" of mathematics learning and broaden their conceptions of mathematics and mathematics learning.

국립부산과학관 전시물과 2015 개정 교육과정과의 연계성 분석 - 핵심역량과 3~6학년을 중심으로 - (Analysis of the Relation between Exhibitions in Busan National Science Museum and 2015 Revised Curriculum - Focusing on the Key Competencies and the 3rd-6th Grades -)

  • With the advent of the 4th industrial revolution, the educational innovation focusing on the key competencies is occurring in the whole world. In September 2015, the Ministry of Education suggested six key competencies such as self-management competency, knowledge/information processing competency, creative thinking competency, aesthetic sensibility competency, communication competency, and community competency for the 2015 revised national curriculum. Also, this era requires for diverse lessons like subject integrated/converged lesson and intramural/extramural education. Thus, the objective of this study is to research/analyze exhibitions of Busan National Science Museum as extramural educational institute and to relate between the 2015 revised curriculum and exhibitions of science museum. First, the exhibitions of permanent exhibition hall in Busan National Science Museum were researched/analyzed. It analyzed the current status, display type, and explained contents of exhibitions. Second, it analyzed the relations between contents of the exhibition and key competencies in the 2015 revised curriculum. Third, the 2015 revised curriculum for the 3rd and 6th grade related to the selected exhibition contents was analyzed. The analysis on the exhibition contents performed by this study would be helpful for follow-up researches connected to exhibitions of Busan National Science Museum.

한국 기독교 유아교육기관의 기독교 유아교육과정 운영 실태와 교사의 인식도 조사 (Christian Preschool Curriculum in Korea : Teachers' Perceptions of the Curriculum)

  • This study investigated conditions and teachers' perceptions of the Christian preschool curriculum in Korea. Participants were 119 teachers in Christian preschools(84 teachers in preschools attached to churches and 35 teachers in non-attached Christian preschools). They responded to a questionnaire developed for the study. Most of the Christian preschools used appropriate educational aims clearly reflecting a Christian world view and the purpose of Christian education. However, teaching methods and instructional media were limited. Type of educational institution, academic background, and years of teaching in Christian institutions affected the results.

Student Factors on Employment of Engineering Graduates: A Korean University Case

  • This study analyzes the determinants on employment of 4-year college graduates. Data were collected from nine semesters from 2009 to 2014 totaling 4,176 engineering graduates of University ‘A’ in the capital area of Korea. Employment is analyzed on three levels reflecting the quality of employment such as total employment, preferred jobs and the top 500 companies. Eighteen variables were divided into four categories such as private attributes, curriculum activities, non-curriculum activities, and job preparation activities. The Hierarchical Logistic Regression Model was used. The results are as follows: top determinants included in each definition of employment are departments group, gender, employment program, and internship program. Also, grade points in major and basic courses were added as a result of curriculum activities. There is no statistical significance in household income, club activities and employment preparation activities. Also, the curriculum for major intensive courses and multi-majoring imposed by the university are not effective.

한국과 일본의 초등 예비 교사의 과학과 교육 과정 운영에 대한 인식 비교 연구 (Pre-service Elementary School Teacher's Perception of Science Curriculum Use in Korea and Japan)

  • This study investigated pre-service elementary school teacher's perception of science curriculum use in Korea and Japan. Ninety four pre-service elementary teachers in Korea and fifty three pre-service elementary teachers in Japan are participated in this study. As the result, four patterns were revealed. First, science isn't perceived as an important or interesting subject by the pre-service elementary teachers in both countries. Second, the perception of Korean pre-service teachers about the objectives of science subject is relatively negative. Third, in the case of Korea, the perception about the effectiveness of science subject content and level, and the amount of learning is shown to be more negative than those of Japan. Finally, in both countries, the science majors and the non-science majors have negative perceptions about the inclusion of the perspectives and methods of assessment and the preparation of teaching and learning plan in curriculum.

비전공자 컴퓨터교육과 학습보조 자료의 활용 (Computer Science Education and Use of Learning Materials)

  • In the last few years, interest in computer science education has increased significantly. The curriculum is being revised to introduce computer science. Although interest has focused on coding as the main subject, in fact the computer science includes much more than coding. It engages people in being creative with technology as well as understanding the fundamental principles of computer science. Therefore, it is important to consider the curriculum to provide a foundation by teaching and learning computer science. The curriculum is required the development of courses to teach computer science for non-majors in general education. To think like a computer scientist on the knowledge of computer science is computational thinking. In order to maximize the effectiveness of teaching and learning for computational thinking, various teaching methods and supplementary learning materials, and activities should be developed and provided.

  • 4차 산업이 발전함에 따라 해상운송 분야에서도 자율운항선박의 연구가 진행되고 있다. 현재 2, 3단계의 자율운항선박이 운항을 하고 있으며 육상에서 원격조종의 장비로 감시하며 상황에 따라 운항에 개입하는 육상원격제어사가 이미 활용되고 있다. 하지만 이들의 교육과정이 국제적으로 정립되지 않아 부적격한 육상원격제어사에 의한 사고 위험성이 높아지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 육상원격제어사에 필요한 교육을 기존의 해기사 교육 중 육상원격제어사에게 필요한 교육과 원격제어환경에서 필요한 교육으로 구성하였고 효과적인 교육의 활용을 위해 비기술적 역량교육을 포함하였다. 이러한 교육과정은 신속하게 활용될 수 있으며 역량평가를 통한 해사안전에 부합하는 신규 육상원격제어사를 배출할 수 있다. 그리고 기존의 선원들도 육상원격제어사로 전직할 수 있는 교육을 제공할 수 있다.

  • 기본적으로 교육과정은 무엇을 어떻게 가르칠 것인지에 관한 일종의 합리적 의사결정의 산물이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 영재 교육 프로그램 개발을 둘러싼 다섯 가지 관점들을 비교·논의하였고, 지금까지의 교육과정 개발에서 목격되고 있는 현실적 문제점들을 다섯 가지의 측면에서 비판하였다. 이를 바탕으로, 영재성 신장에 적합한 교육 프로그램 개발을 위해 필연적으로 고민해야 할 교육과정 쟁점들을 일곱 가지로 분석 ·논의하여 향후 교육과정개발의 기본 원리와 방향을 제시하고 있다.

2011 초등학교 수학과 교육과정의 학습내용 성취 기준 양태 분석: '이해한다', '안다', '의미'를 중심으로 (An Analysis of Modes in the Learning-Content Achievement Standards of Korean 2011 Elementary Mathematics Curriculum: Focused on 'Understand', 'Know' and 'Meaning')

  • 본 연구에서는 초등학교 수학과 교육과정의 성취 기준 진술상 비일관성이 없어야 한다는 관점에서, 2011 교육과정의 학습내용 성취 기준에서 많이 사용하는 어휘인 '이해하다', '안다', '의미'를 대상으로, 그것의 비일관적 사용에 관해 논의하고 있다. 이를 위해, 그것이 2011 교육과정에서 비일관적으로 나타나는 양태를 분석하고 있다. 이러한 분석의 결과는 2011 교육과정에서 어떤 원칙을 바탕으로 '이해하다', '안다', '의미'를 사용한 것으로 보기 어렵다는 것을 말해준다. 양태 분석 결과를 바탕으로 차후의 교육과정 개발을 위해 다음의 세 가지 제안을 결론으로 제시한다. 성취 기준 진술에서 첫째, '이해하다'를 어떤 맥락에서 사용하는지 한정할 필요가 있다. 둘째, '안다'와 '이해하다'의 차이를 명확히 할 필요가 있다. 셋째, '~의 의미'에서 '의미'가 무엇을 함의하는지 명확히 할 필요가 있다.
