  • As the CEO`s of game companies should be ready for the rapid change of technical environment of game industry, highly skilled employees and the social capital become very important factors in doing game business. 2013 Korea Game White Paper shows that many game companies prefer employees with job experience. The social capital and network help game companies get industrial information easily. This study empirically examines the relationship among CEO`s related business experience, corporate performance and social capital based on 134 Korean game companies. CEO`s characteristics are measured by using demographic characteristics including age, amount of education, and prior job experience and psychological characteristics, but this study focuses on related business experience. The results of this study show some significant relationship between the related business experience of CEO and nonfinancial performance of the firm. Secondly, this study verifies the moderating effect of the social capital between the related business experience of CEO and non-financial performance of the firm. The results of the moderating effect of the social capital show that social capital increases the non-financial performance.

  • In this paper, we present a non-static color histogram method to retrieve clothing images that are similar to a query clothing. Given clothing area, our method automatically extracts major colors by using the octree-based quantization approach[16]. Then, a color palette that is composed of the major colors is generated. The feature of each clothing, which can be either a query or a database clothing image, is represented as a color histogram based on its color palette. We define the match color bins between two possibly different color palettes, and unify the color palettes by merging or deleting some color bins if necessary. The similarity between two histograms is measured by using the weighted Euclidean distance between the match color bins, where the weight is derived from the frequency of each bin. We compare our method with previous histogram matching methods through experiments. Compared to HSV cumulative histogram-based approach, our method improves the retrieval precision by 13.7 % with less number of color bins.

  • We study empirically analyzes the relationship between the leadership styles and management strategies of executives perceived by members of small and medium venture companies through organizational performance through SPSS 24.0. The empirical results are as follows. First, the hypothesis that the strategic leadership of the one-level management team had a significant influence on the management strategy showed that strategic leadership (strategic direction, strategic control, maintaining effective organizational culture, ethical management, human resource development, competency development) The relationship between positive cost, strategy of differentiation, and strategy of concentration was positive. Second, the hypothesis 2 management strategy (cost advantage strategy, differentiation strategy, centralization strategy) was statistically significant for both organizational performance (financial performance and non-financial performance). Therefore, management strategy implemented by management acts as a factor to improve organizational performance. Therefore, the execution ability of management strategy should be strengthened. Third, hypothesis 3 (Strategic Direction, Strategic Control, Maintaining Effective Organizational Culture, Ethical Management, Human Resource Development, Competency Development) could be identified as an important role factor for financial and non-financial performance. The organizational performance of SMEs has been a key factor in the strategic leadership and management strategy implemented by management. Therefore, the establishment and implementation of various practical measures to upgrade this were continuously required.

  • Objectives: The most commonly detected heavy metals in rocks and soils, including Pb, Cd, Cu, Fe, Mn and As, are representative pollutants discharged from abandoned mines and have been listed as potential sources of contamination in drinking water. This study focused on increasing the removal efficiency of heavy metals from drinking water resources by surface modification of natural adsorbents to reduce potential health risks. Methods: Iron oxide coating and graft polymerization with zeolites and talc was conducted for bipolar surface modification to increase the combining capacity of heavy metals for their removal from water. The removal efficiency of heavy metals was measured before and after the surface modification. Results: The removal efficiency of Pb, Cu, and Cd by surface modified zeolite showed 100, 92, and 61.5%, respectively, increases compared to 64, 64, and 38% for non-modified zeolite. This implies that bipolar surface modified natural adsorbents have a good potential use in heavy metal removal. The more interesting finding is the removal increase for As, which has both cation and anion characteristics showing 27% removal efficiency where as non-modified zeolite showed only 2% removal. Conclusions: Zeolite is one of the most widely used adsorptive materials in water treatment processes and bipolar surface modification of zeolite increases its applicability in the removal of heavy metals, especially As.

Most study on technology in the service industry have been conducted in developed countries, and yet there exist not sufficient empirical reviews. Research design, data and methodology: This paper, using rare empirical data, examines Korea's service industry and aims to make an academic and managerial contribution to the understanding of the relation between corporate competence and performance. This study analyzes 567 Korean Domestic Companies in Non-manufacturing and Service Industry, using the 2020 Detailed Survey of Venture Businesses (2500) data. Frequency analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis are performed. Results: Results show, Hypothesis 1 that internal competence has positive influence on technological strength, is supported. However, Hypothesis 2 that technological strength mediates between internal competence and business performance, Hypothesis 3 that external competence has positive influence on technological strength and Hypothesis 4 that technological strength mediates between external competence and business performance are all partially supported/rejected. Conclusions: This study suggests that technological strength is an important factor that affects both market share and sales. And mediating effect of technology strength emphasized in market share. However, in managing sales, more cautious approach and a more detailed analysis are needed..

  • This study is a non-structured developmental art-therapy case study having done 134 times of total treatments for a 12 years old girl, having extremely poor verbal communication ability and sociality comparing to her ability in perception and motion. I presumed the cause of this gap between perceptibility and the communication ability was a problem related to self-consciousness. To cure the problem, I provided treatment programs designed to use material which can create a stable and reliable environment and can give body experiences such as painting and play-dough. As the treatment programs progressed, I found she had changed gradually to lead the game by herself and to express her favorite colors and shapes. Also she became to be able to express her experience as a simple word and to response short answers for questions.

  • Recently, as the non-face-to-face environment has developed due to COVID-19 and environmental pollution, the importance of online digital healthcare is increasing, and venture start-ups and activities such as health care, telemedicine, and digital treatments are also actively underway. This study conducted the impact on the acceptability of digital healthcare smartwatches with an integrated approach of the expanded integrated technology acceptance model (UTAUT2) and the behavioral inference model (BRT). The most advanced integrated technology acceptance model for innovative technology acceptance research was used to identify major factors such as utility expectations, social effects, convenience, price barriers, lack of alternatives, and behavioral intentions. For the study, about 410 responses from ordinary people in their teens to 60s across the country were collected, and based on this, the hypothesis was verified using structural equations after testing reliability and validity of the data. SPSS 23 and AMOS 23 were used for research analysis. Studies have shown that personal innovation has a significant impact on the reasons for acceptance (use value, social impact, convenience of use), attitude, and non-use (price barriers, lack of alternatives, and barriers to use). These results are the same as the results of previous studies that confirmed the influence of the main value of innovative ICT on user acceptance intention. In addition, the reason for acceptance had a significant effect on attitude, but the effect of the reason for non-acceptance was not significant. It can be analyzed that consumers are interested in new ICT products and new services, but purchase them more carefully and selectively. This study has evolved from the acceptance analysis of general-purpose consumer innovation technology to the acceptance analysis of consumer value in smartwatch digital healthcare, which is a new and important area in the future. Industrially, it can contribute to the product's purchase and marketing. It is hoped that this study will contribute to increasing research in the digital healthcare sector, which will play an important role in our lives in the future, and that it will develop into in-depth factors that are more suitable for consumer value through integrated approach models and integrated analysis of consumer acceptance and non-acceptance.

  • This study analyzed the effect of internal marketing factors of agricultural enterprises on corporate performance by using SNS as a moderating variable for agricultural enterprises workers. Internal marketing factors were divided into education and training, communication and compensation system, and corporate performance was set as a sub-variable of financial performance and non-financial performance. 349 questionnaires collected from agricultural enterprises workers were used for empirical analysis. The results of the analysis using SPSS v22.0 and Process macro v3.4 showed that first, communication and compensation systems had a significant effect on financial performance and education and training did not have a significant effect on financial performance. Second, communication has a significant effect on non-financial performance, and education and training has a negative effect on non-financial performance., and compensation system had no significant effect on non-financial performance. Third, SNS utilization significantly moderated the relationship between internal marketing factors and financial performance. Fourth, SNS utilization significantly moderated the relationship between internal marketing factors and non-financial aptitude. This study has significance that internal marketing factors that affect general companies are different due to the characteristics of agricultural management organizations, and that internal marketing factors that affect the performance of agricultural management organizations have been discovered. In particular, it was found that communication must be dealt with importantly to expand the performance of agricultural management. As a follow-up study, it is necessary to study the mediating model formed by the discovery of mediators and to study the moderated mediating analysis through the conditional process model in which the mediators are introduced.

  • This study investigates the effects of product strategies and CEO characteristics on the growth of venture firms. These factors are related with strategic behaviors and managerial capabilities of small and dynamic firms. According to empirical results of FGLS regression with the data of the Korean venture firms, both product strategies and CEO characteristics have significant effects on firm growth and additionally explanatory powers. In general, the growth rates of venture firms tend to increase with the level of product's diversity and marketing-enhancing strategy, but decrease with the degree of product's innovation-enhancing strategy. The growth rates are higher when CEO is non-founder and has sufficient experience related to current business, and CEO's career development is focused on general management area. The effects of product strategies and CEO characteristics are moderated by the firm-internal factor such as organizational growth stage. The positive effects of some product strategies (e.g. marketing-enhancing strategy) and CEO characteristics(e.g. career focused on general management) become stronger for firms operating in the stage of start-up or initial growth, while their effects become negative or insignificant for firms operating in the mature or declining stage in which the negative effect of innovation-enhancing strategy does not exist.
