  • We have prepared CIGS thin film absorber layers with simple solution spray deposition technique and thin film were synthesized with different atomic ratio. CIGS thin films were synthesized using non-vacuum solution deposition method on pre-heated sodalime glass substrates and Mo-coated soadlime glass substrate. In precursor solution were Cu : In : Ga: S ratio 4 : 3 : 2 : 8 and the crystal type of sprayed thin film were CIGS chalcopyrite structures. This structure was identified as typical chalcopyrite tetragonal structure with XRD analysis. This result showed that CIGS solution deposition technique has potential for the one step synthesis and low cost fabrication process for CIS or CIGS thin film absorber layer.

  • A composite case was designed to satisfy the required condition of KSLV-I kick motor system. we performed the structure and combustion tests to insure the reliability of the case before the production of the flight model. The hydraulic, vacuum and non destruction testes as the structure test were carried out to confirm the strength of the components of the case and the characteristics of the thermal and structure were investigated through the ground combustion test.

  • Ni films with a thickness of 700-800 nm were deposited on carbon fiber layers using electroless deposition, and surface structures and chemical properties of these films with various annealing temperatures (300, 600 and $900^{\circ}C$) were studied. $600^{\circ}C$-annealing under atmospheric conditions resulted in formation of porous surface structures with a mean pore size of ~100 nm, whereas the other samples showed non-porous surface structures. $600^{\circ}C$-annealed Ni film showed much higher reactivities for toluene adsorption and CO oxidation comparing to other non-porous surfaces.

  • Metal/poly (4,4'-aminotriphen-ylene hexafluoroisopropylidenediphthalimide) (TP6F PI)/metal structure exhibited an electrically volatile phase transition with high (OFF) or low (ON) resistive states when voltage between electrodes swept. Here, we demonstrate a noble set-up in which holes are injected by photoelectron emission process during the voltage sweep instead of direct charge carrier injection via metal electrode, which enables direct investigation into changed electronic structures of TP6F PI both in ON and OFF states using photoemission spectroscopy methods. In the I-V measurement, TP6F PI shows a non-volatile behavior. In spectroscopic results, this non-volatile behavior is leaded from the structural modification of the O=C double bond in phthalimide of TP6F PI by hole injection.

  • Supramolecualr ordering has been actively studied due to it's possible applications to the fabrication processes of nano-electronic devices. Van der Waals interaction and hydrogen bonding are frequently studied mechanisms for various molecular structures based on non-uniform charge distributions. Halogen atoms in molecules can have electrostatic interactions with similar strength. Big halogen atoms have strong non-uniform charge distributions. To study molecular orderings formed by hydrogen and halogen interactions, we chose a molecular system containing oxygen, hydrogen, and bromine atoms, a bromo-quinone. A two-dimensional molecular network was studied on Au(111) using a low-temperature scanning tunneling microscope. Bromo-quinonemolecules form self-assembled square grids having windmill structures. Their molecular orderings, chiral structures, and defects are explained in terms of hydrogen and halogen interactions.

  • This study was performed to compare the vitamin A, E, ${\beta}-carotene$, polyphenol content, and DPPH radical scavenging activity of carrot, apple, and blueberry juices as affected by extraction methods using slow juicer (HJ), no vacuum blending (NVJ) and vacuum blending (VJ). Juice yields of carrot, apple, and blueberry were 100% in NVJ and VJ groups. Vitamin A content of all juices was the highest in VJ group. Vitamin E content in carrot and apple juices increased most in the HJ group, followed by the NVJ and VJ group; Vitamin E content in blueberry juice was higher in the NVJ group than VJ or HJ group. ${\beta}-carotene$ and polyphenol content in all juices were highest in the VJ group. In addition, the differences between vacuum blending and non-vacuum blending were only shown on apple and blueberry juices. Polyphenol content in carrot and blueberry juices increased most in the HJ group, followed by the NVJ, and VJ groups, and in apple juice, polyphenol content was higher in the VJ group than the HJ or NVJ group. DPPH radical scavenging activity in the VJ group was significantly higher than the NVJ group. The results of this study showed the vacuum blending method had outstanding antioxidative nutrients compared to other juicing methods.

  • This study proposes an accurate method of monitoring precursor consumption in chemical vapor deposition (CVD) systems. Since precursor costs are significant, finding an efficient method to monitor precursor consumption is necessary One example is the use of non-contact and inexpensive ultrasonic sensors for determining the liquid level in a container. In this study, sensors based on ultrasonic techniques have been developed for monitoring the precursor consumption in a CVD system. Moreover, the prototype sensors developed in this study can be useful in the field of semiconductors.
