택배기사의 고용형태에 따른 근로환경과 건강결과의 차이 (Differences in the Working Environment and Health Outcomes according to the Employment Type of Delivery Workers)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify differences in physical working environments, psychosocial working environments, and health outcomes according to the employment type of delivery workers. Methods: This study was a secondary analysis of data collected from the Fifth Korean Working Conditions Survey (KWCS). Participants were 84 Korean delivery workers. Data were analyzed using the SAS 9.4 Version, χ2 test and Fisher's exact test. Results: Statistically significant differences were found according to the employment type of delivery workers (special types, wage) including "noise", "vibrations", "repetitive movements", "supervisor support", "colleague support", "manuals on emotional expression", "existence of trade union, works council or similar body". Conclusion: This study suggests the necessity of improving the working environment and health outcomes of delivery workers belonging to special employment types. In developing these, the laws and systems must be reorganized to enable the recognition of delivery workers as wage workers. In addition, delivery companies should be held responsible for managing delivery workers.

  • The aerodynamic performance of the pantograph on a high speed train was compared for different pantograph covers which are designed to block the aero-acoustic noise from the pantograph. For the study, two types of cover are designed: wedge and cone types. The lift force of pantograph with cover was compared with the force of pantograph only. The comparison clarified that the cone type cover increases the sideslip angle of the flow and decreases the lift force considerably. However, the wedge type cover changes the flow direction upward and increases the lift force of the pan head. This increment of lift force compensates the decrement of lift force caused by the blocking of the flow into the pantograph lower frame due to cover. Therefore, in case of the wedge type cover, the overall lift force changes slightly compared with the cone type cover.

조리 종사원의 인구통계학적 특성이 신체 통증 유발에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the Effects of Demographic Characteristics of Culinary Employees on Their Job Fatigue)

  • Rapid change of surroundings has been influencing the work environment for cooks, making it more convenient; however, there are still many difficulties to improve. Especially, cooks are exposed to lots of occupational diseases due to tension and pressure as well as noise, high temperature and humidity in their work place. This study examines cooks' operational exhaustion caused by cooking operation and cooking circumstances. The analyzed result shows the job fatigue related to the general features of the cooks(such as charged cooking part, types of engaged business, class of position, cooking career, and working hours). For example, pains on the neck, back, arms and wrist are mostly affected by the charged cooking parts. Effects related to the types of engaged business, backaches usually occurred in Catering, pains in shoulder from serving at hotels and eye-tiredness from meal serving. As for working hours, most of backaches occurred from over 13-hour-work, and pains in shoulder and eye-tiredness under 8-hour-work. Pains in legs, tiredness, and the change of weight do not have any relations withthe general features of the cooks statistically(p>0.05).

노후 공동주택의 위생설비 리모델링 계획방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Sanitary Piping System Plan When an Aged Public Housing is Remodeled)

  • Recently, the domestic remodeling market is increased in scale. This study is to develop the sanitary piping system which improves quality of life and facility performance when the aged public housing is remodeled. Above all, we found out three standard floor plans in bathrooms of the public housing. And then, the plan and section types of the sanitary piping system were developed for the on-floor piping, a construction cost of each section types was estimated to review the economical fact. Also, the field mock-up test was performed in the type of the pipe shaft with on-floor pit. In result, the developed sanitary piping system was available for the remodeling public housing without a great facility cost. Additionally, the sanitary pipe was replaced easily through the shaft and on-floor fit. And a noise was reduced to a lower unit when the water flowed down.

샌드위치 패널 및 내장재 특성 연구 (Characteristics of Sandwich Panels and Indoor Composite Materials)

  • 본 연구에서는 샌드위치 패널 구성 요소인 면재와 심재를 변화시켜 4종류의 샌드위치 패널을 제작하였다. 그리고 제작된 샌드위치 패널의 기계적 특성과 철도차량 개발시 중요한 요인으로 작용하는 음향투과 특성 그리고 화재에서의 안정성을 확인하기 위하여 난연특성 실험을 통하여 샌드위치 패널의 특성을 검토하고자 하였다. 샌드위치 패널의 기계적 특성은 알루미늄 면재 + 알루미늄 하니컴 심재로 구성된 샌드위치 패널이 면방향 인장강도와 변방향 압축강도 특성에서 우수하며 알루미늄 면재 + 노멕스 하니컴 심재로 구성된 샌드위치 패널은 면방향 압축강도와 굽힘 강도가 우수한 것으로 확인되었다. 알루미늄 면재 + PMI 포옴 심재로 구성된 샌드위치 패널은 심재의 전단강도 및 면재의 굽힙강도가 우수하였다. 난연성 시험에서는 phenol 수지 면재와 2종의 외국 면재는 모든 시험 결과에서 유사한 견과를 확인하였다.

Application of Hyperion Hyperspectral Remote Sensing Data for Wildfire Fuel Mapping

  • Fire fuel map is one of the most critical factors for planning and managing the fire hazard and risk. However, fuel mapping is extremely difficult because fuel properties vary at spatial scales, change depending on the seasonal situations and are affected by the surrounding environment. Remote sensing has potential to reduce the uncertainty in mapping fuels and offers the best approach for improving our abilities. Especially, Hyperspectral sensor have a great potential for mapping vegetation properties because of their high spectral resolution. The objective of this paper is to evaluate the potential of mapping fuel properties using Hyperion hyperspectral remote sensing data acquired in April, 2002. Fuel properties are divided into four broad categories: 1) fuel moisture, 2) fuel green live biomass, 3) fuel condition and 4) fuel types. Fuel moisture and fuel green biomass were assessed using canopy moisture, derived from the expression of liquid water in the reflectance spectrum of plants. Fuel condition was assessed using endmember fractions from spectral mixture analysis (SMA). Fuel types were classified by fuel models based on the results of SMA. Although Hyperion imagery included a lot of sensor noise and poor performance in liquid water band, the overall results showed that Hyperion imagery have good potential for wildfire fuel mapping.

  • Much advancement has been made in wind power due to modern technological developments. The wind energy technology is the world's fastest-growing energy option. More power can be generated from wind energy by the use of new design and techniques of wind energy machines. The geographical areas with suitable wind speed are more favorable and preferred for wind power deployment over other sources of energy generation. Today's wind turbines are mainly the horizontal axis wind turbines (HAWTs) and vertical axis wind turbines (VAWTs). HAWTs are commercially available in various sizes starting from a few kilowatts to multi-megawatts and are suitable for almost all applications, including both onshore and offshore deployment. On the other hand, VAWTs finds their places in small and residential wind applications. The objective of the present work is to review the technological development, available sizes, efficiencies, structural types, and structural stability of VAWTs. Structural stability and efficiencies of the VAWTS are found to be dependent on the structural shape and size.

윤활유 분석 센서를 통한 기계상태진단의 문헌적 고찰 (윤활유 센서의 종류와 기능) (Literature Review of Machine Condition Monitoring with Oil Sensors -Types of Sensors and Their Functions)

  • This paper reviews studies on the types and functions of oil sensors used for machine condition monitoring. Machine condition monitoring is essential for maintaining the reliability of machines and can help avoid catastrophic failures while ensuring the safety and longevity of operation. Machine condition monitoring involves several components, such as compliance monitoring, structural monitoring, thermography, non-destructive testing, and noise and vibration monitoring. Real-time monitoring with oil analysis is also utilized in various industries, such as manufacturing, aerospace, and power plants. The three main methods of oil analysis are off-line, in-line, and on-line techniques. The on-line method is the most popular among these three because it reduces human error during oil sampling, prevents incipient machine failure, reduces the total maintenance cost, and does not need complicated setup or skilled analysts. This method has two advantages over the other two monitoring methods. First, fault conditions can be noticed at the early stages via detection of wear particles using wear particle sensors; therefore, it provides early warning in the failure process. Second, it is convenient and effective for diagnosing data regardless of the measurement time. Real-time condition monitoring with oil analysis uses various oil sensors to diagnose the machine and oil statuses; further, integrated oil sensors can be used to measure several properties simultaneously.

펄라이트를 이용한 방음벽의 흡음소재 개발에 관한 기초적 연구 (A Study on the Development of Sound Absorption Material Using Perlite for Noise Barrier Wall)

  • 본 연구는 펄라이트를 이용한 흡음재료의 흡음성능을 개선시키기 위한 최적배합에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 결합재로서 폴리머 시멘트 슬러리와 무기질 결합재를 사용하여 흡음재료를 각종 배합조건에 따라 제작하여, 강도, 동결 융해 저항성, 그리고 흡음성능에 대하여 실험을 실시하였다. 실험 결과, 관내법에 의한 흠음재의 흠음계수는 배합에 따라 약간의 차이가 있으나 폴리머 디스퍼션을 결합재로 사용한 경우 흡음재의 감음계수 (NRC)는 $0.48{\sim}0.51$로 시멘트만 결합재로 사용한 경우에 비해 약간 크게 나타났으나, 방음벽의 환경부 고시 기준에서의 흡음재로서 감음계수 0.70에 비하면 낮은 수치이다. 그러나 잔향실법에 의한 흡음용 패널의 저주파수 영역($250\;Hz{\sim}500\;Hz$)에서 흡음계수가 $0.84{\sim}1.00$로 매우 높게 나타났으며, 고주파 영역에서도 $0.57{\sim}0.77$ 정도로 비교적 높은 흡음률을 나타내 감음계수가 0.77로 높게 나타났다. 폴리머 디스퍼션을 결합재로 사용한 흡음재는 압축강도, 휨강도 및 동결융해 저항성 등에서 방음벽 재료로서 적당한 성능을 발휘하였으며, 성능과 가격면에서 밸런스를 확보할 수 있는 배합을 도출할 수 있었다.

자동차 그래픽 시뮬레이터에서 사이렌 소리 자극에 따른 청각 자극의 마스킹 효과 (The Ability of Auditory Stimuli to Mask Siren Sounds in a Vehicle Graphic Simulator)

  • 본 연구는 운전 중 외부 소음으로 유발된 스트레스를 줄이기 위한 방법으로 심박변화율의 상관관계 분석의 선행연구와 음원의 주파수에서 운전자로 하여금 안정상태를 유발하는 음악과 소음 발생 시 심전도의 변화 가 있는 지의 여부를 규명하기 위한 목적이다. 매년 자동차의 증가로 인하여 운전자 및 동승자가 외부 소음으로부터 스트레스가 증가하는 추세이다. 자동차 운전 시 외부 소음에 의한 스트레스는 불안, 면역약화, 우울, 심장 질환 등 여러 가지 질병을 일으키고 있다. 따라서 외부 소음으로부터 스트레스를 줄이기 위한 자동차 시뮬레이터를 실시하여 여러 가지 청각 자극을 주어 운전자가 반응하는 연구를 진행하였다. RM-ANOVA (Repeated Measures-ANOVA) 통계분석 결과, 집단별 유의차가 인정되었다(ρ<0.05). 사후 검정을 통해 어떤 요인 간의 차이가 발생하는지를 알아보았다. 사후검정 결과는 요인1(안정)과 요인2(시뮬레이션운전), 요인1(안정)과 요인3(운전+경찰사이렌), 요인1(안정)과 요인4(운전+경찰사이렌+음악)에서 유의한 차이를 발견할 수 있었다. 또한, 교감신경계 활성도가 가장 높은 집단은 운전+경찰사이렌+음악을 실시한 요인 4이며, 다음으로 운전+경찰사이렌인 요인 3이며, 다음으로 운전을 실시한 요인 2, 마지막으로 안정기 순으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 운전 중 경찰 사이렌 소리를 들려주어도 심전도의 변화는 유의차가 인정되지 않았다. 또한, 사이렌 소리에 안정된 주파수의 음악을 들려주어도 심전도의 변화에 차이가 발생하지 않았다(ρ<0.01). 향후 연구에서는 운전 중 심전도의 안정을 찾을 수 있는 여러 가지 음악을 들려주어서 심전도가 안정화되는 음악을 찾는 연구방법이 선행되어야 할 것이다.
