  • A new implementation strategy for the flux weakening control of a Surface Mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (SPMSM) is proposed. It is implemented based on the output of the synchronous PI current regulator-reference voltage to PWM inverter. The onset of flux weakening and the level of the d-axis current are adjusted by the outer voltage regulation loop to prevent the saturation of the current regulator. The characteristics of this flux weakening scheme include no dependency on the machine parameters, the guarantee of current regulation on any operating condition, and fast transition into and out of the flux weakening mode. Experimental results at various operating conditions including 4-quadrant operation are presented to verify the feasibility of the proposed control scheme.

  • This paper deals with the design of a field oriented control system model for the high performance induction motor using Matlab with Simulink. The proposed control system model, which is not used the speed and flux sensor, contains IM model, Tranformation, Decoupling, FFOC(Field Flux Orientation Controller), Torque calculator and PI Controller to control speed, torque. Results present the stator and rotor flux phasor trajectory, the startup and transient response of speed, torque and stator current with field oriented control and the response to changes in reference speed with no load. This paper shows that the propose control system is more robust than other vector control system, and suggest the enchanced model, using Matlab with Simulink for the high performance in induction motor control.

  • The work is concerned with an investigation of the advantages stemming from the use of lightweight aggregate concrete in earthquake-resistant reinforced concrete construction. As the aseismic clauses of current codes make no reference to lightweight aggregate concrete beams made of lightweight aggregate concrete but designed in accordance with the code specifications for normal weight aggregate concrete, together with beams made from the latter material, are tested under load mimicking seismic action. The results obtained show that beam behaviour is essentially independent of the design method adopted, with the use of lightweight aggregate concrete being found to slightly improve the post-peak structural behaviour. When considering the significant reduction in deadweight resulting from the use of lightweight aggregate concrete, the results demonstrate that the use of this material will lead to significant savings without compromising the structural performance requirements of current codes.

  • The equation of state developed herein is predicated on a hard-sphere reference with perturbations introduced via a potential function to account for electrostatic forces and for attraction between protein particles. During this process, the generalized Lennard-Jones (GLJ) pair potential function is employed. The GLJ pair potential function is employed to represent the protein-protein interaction in two-protein systems. Via the use of the relation between the equation of state and the chemical potential, the phase behavior in the aqueous two-protein system can be estimated. The partition coefficients can be obtained via these processes. The calculated values of the coefficients agree fairly well with the experimental data in the given pH and ionic strength range, with no additional adjustable model parameters.

  • As no reference to the seasonal variations in the mosquito population of the country has been noted in the past literature and as such a survey is apparantlyprequite to insecticidal orerations, an observat on of the subject may be ofvalue. The investigation was made te different geographical locations during theperiod from March 1952 to Jul 1956 In order to obtain as accurte an averagepicture as pasaible of the country, the locations Covered geograpically such scat-tered lropertions as could represent a balance 1croverage : S_oui, kangoongNational Forestry, Incheon, Gunaa , Uejiongbu, Chungcheon, Wonju, Taegukangnoong of the eastcoast, pohang Pusan, Masan and two islands of Chejudo andPaeckyongdo. • This paper describes the design and fabrication of a soil resistivity measurement system using 9 auxiliary electrodes; 6 potential-, a reference-, a current-, and a ground- electrode. The measurement system is composed of a current source (300 [Vrms], 5 [A], Sine-wave, 45 $\sim$ 500 [Hz]), a data acquisition (400 [kS/s], 16 bit, 16 Ch.), and an operating program based on a graphical software of National Instrument Co. The proposed system is convenient for choosing the position of electrodes because the soil resistivity is calculated having no concern with the length and the spacing between electrodes.

  • In order to reject the steady-state tracking error, it is common to introduce integral compensators in servosystems for constant reference signals. However, if the mathematical model of the plant is exact and no disturbance input exists, the integral compensation is not necessary. From this point of view, a two-degree-of-freedom(2DOF) servosystem has been proposed, in which integral compensation is effective only when there is modeling error for disturbance input. The present paper considers the design problem of 2DOF servosystem incorporating an observer. It is shown that if a state feedback gain and a observer gain satisfy a condition, the integral effect does not appear when modeling error or disturbance input exists. This result means that the servosystem does not behave as a 2DOF servosystem.

  • We investigated that the CARS signals generated from resonant or nonresonant contributions can be selectively suppressed by phase-controlled nonlinear interferometry. To control the phase of the CARS signal over a broad spectral range, a home-made phase shifting unit was used, whose thickness was automatically controlled as the wavelength of Stokes beam scaned. Using this technique, we recovered the Q-branch resonance lines of carbon monoxide and HC1 which had been distorted and buried by the nonresonant and resonant signal of propane respectively. All the spectrum measured have been normalized by reference signal which had no resonance lines over the spectral range of interest.

  • We review the mathematics education in Korea just after the 1595 Liberation and the first, second curriculum announced in 1955 and 1963, respectively. The 3rd curriculum announced in 1973 is influenced by “New Mathematics” in America. There were theoretical research about “New Mathematics”, but no experimental research about it in the school. So, there was not much effect of “New Mathematics” in mathematics education. After that we have the 4th, 5th and 6th curriculum which is improved by the result of experience in teaching. The 7th curriculum announced in 1997 emphasized practical mathematics. In this paper, we review the mathematics education and consider some problems in the 7th curriculum. We also consider some problems in mathematics textbook authorization under the 7th curriculum. To solve these problems, we suggest some facts. Especially, we need the philosophy about mathematics education and the enough knowledge about “Mathematics for Mathematics Teachers”.

  • Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), a non-parametric productivity analysis tool, has become an accepted approach for assessing efficiency in a wide range of fields. Despite of its extensive applications, some features of DEA remain bothersome. DEA offers no guidelines to where relatively inefficient DMU(Decision Making Unit) improve since a reference set of an inefficient DMU consists of several efficient DMUs and it doesn't provide a stepwise path for improving the efficiency of each inefficient DMU considering the difference of efficiency. We aim to show that DEA can be used to evaluate the efficiency of System Integration Projects and suggest the methodology which overcomes the limitation of DEA through hybrid analysis utilizing DEA along with machine learning.
