통영 바다목장 자원조성을 위한 연구 I. 야간점등에 의한 동물플랑크톤 유도효과 (Study on Resources Annexation in Tongyeong Marine Ranching I. Effects of Zooplankton Attraction by Night-lights)

  • 점등 효과에 따른 동물플랑크톤 군집동태의 변화를 관찰하기 위하여 통영 바다목장 해역내 한국해양연구원 가두리 설치 지역에서 2004년 7월부터 2004년 8월까지 채집을 실시하였다. 점등 효과를 알아보기 위한 시료 채집은 야간에 점등구간에서 또한 자연상태의 동물플랑크톤 군집과 비교분석을 위하여 같은 시간에 인접 지역에서 점등에 영향을 받지 않는 장소를 선정하여 점등 시료와 동일한 방법으로 채집하여 비교 분석하였다. 조사기간 중 출현한 동물플랑크톤은 종 수준까지 동정한 21종을 포함하여 총 43개 분류군이었다. 불을 밝힌 점등구에서의 출현 분류군수는 비점등구에 비해 많은 개체수가 나타났으며, 두 구간에서의 동물플랑크톤 평균 출현량에서도 비점등구에 비해 점등구에서 약 $3\sim166$배 높은 출현량을 나타내었다. 본 연구에서 점등(불빛)으로 유집되는 동물플랑크톤 군집의 반응양상은 2개로 대별하여 특정지을 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. "A"그룹은 조사시기별 높은 출현 빈도를 나타낸 종들로 불빛에 명확한 양주광성(photo-positive)종들로 구성됨을 알 수 있었다. "B"그룹에 속하는 종들은 약간의 차이는 있으나, 대부분이 점등(불빛)에 소극적으로 반응하는 음주광성(photo-negative)으로 나타났다.

  • The natural high productivity of temperate coastal waters in Korea can be used in advantage to reduce the feed costs for the cage-cultured marine carnivorous fish species. By using the night-lights methods an alternative of supplementary feeding strategy can be offered to the cage farmers and maintain sound environmental conditions that could enhance maximum sustainable yields. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of night-lights which shown positive results on feeding and growth in sea cage cultured rockfish, Sebastes schlegeli. The study showed that for the water around overhead illuminated sea cage, higher zooplankton density was observed at night than during the daytime. Increased amounts of for-age, evidenced by stomach content analyses were observed in the early evening, but decreased amounts were observed in the morning and afternoon. That is, feeding activities of the fish were most intensive from midnight to dawn. In a three month feeding experiment, the results showed that night-lighted groups were superior to groups with the highest feeding efficient. This study suggested that the evidence that night-lights superimposed on only day-lights enhance growth of rockfish in sea cages during summer and winter, with timing of exposure affecting growth of juvenile fish. The capability to control the feeding behavior of marine life via manipulation and external stimuli could considerably benefit the advancement of sea cage aquaculture in coastal areas.

통영 바다목장 자원조성을 위한 연구 II. 야간점등과 먹이공급 조건에 따른 볼락의 성장과 위내용물 변화 (Study on Resources Annexation in Tongyeong Marine Ranching II. Change of Growth and Stomach Contents on Night-lights and Feeding Condition of Black Rockfish Sebastes inermis)

  • 위 내용물 분석을 위하여 경남 통영시 바다목장 해역내 한국해양연구원 가두리 설치 지역에서 2004년 7월부터 8월까지 채집을 실시하였으며, 분석에 사용된 볼락은 점등, 비점등 총 200개체였다. 점등에 의해 유집된 동물플랑크톤중 볼락의 가장 중요한 먹이생물은 요각류(Copepoda), 단각류(Amphipoda)순으로 나타났으며, 비점등구간에서도 역시 요각류(Copepoda), 단각류(Amphipoda)순으로 나타났다. 계절에 따른 먹이조성의 변화를 살펴보면 점등구간의 경우 비점등구간에 비해 비교적 다양한 먹이생물을 고루 섭이하였으며, 특히 점등에 의해 요각류와 단각류의 출현량이 많아 중간육성 기간중 볼락의 위내용물 중 이들이 차지하는 비율이 비교적 높았으며, 비점등구에서는 전조사기간중 요각류의 출현량이 대부분을 차지하였다. 중간육성 기간중 점등, 비점등구간에서 먹이공급 조건에 따른 성장관계를 살펴보면 동일한 조건에서 비점등구에 비해 점등구에서 사육한 볼락의 성장이 양호한 것으로 나타났다.

  • When driving at night time environment, the whole body of transports does not visible to us. Due to lack of light conditions, there are only two options, which is clearly visible their taillights and break lights. To improve the recognition correctness of vehicle detection, we present an approach to vehicle detection and tracking using finding contour of the object on binary image at night time. Bilateral filtering is used to make more clearly on threshold part. To remove unexpected small noises used morphological opening. In verification stage, paired tail lights are tracked during their existence in the ROI. The accuracy of the test results for vehicle detection is about 93%.

야간 영상에서의 빛 번짐 현상을 이용한 교통신호등 인식 (Traffic Light Recognition Based on the Glow Effect at Night Image)

  • Traffic lights at night are usually framed in the image as bright regions bigger than the real size due to glow effect. Moreover, the colors of lighting region saturate to white. So it is difficult to distinguish between different traffic lights at night. Many related studies have tried to decrease the glow effect in the process of capturing images. Some studies drastically decreased the shutter time of the camera to reduce the adverse effect by the glow. However, this makes the video too dark. This study proposes a new idea which utilizes the glow effect. It examines the outer radial region of traffic light. It presents an algorithm to discriminate the color of traffic light by the analysis of the outer radial region. The advantage of the proposed method is that it can recognize traffic lights in the image captured by an ordinary black box camera. Experimental results using seven short videos show the performance of traffic light recognition reporting the precision of 96.4% and the recall of 98.2%. These results show that the proposed method is valid and effective.

  • According to the new Singapore Authority Rule(Sn.1/Cir293) which has taken effect from $1^{st}$ July, 2011 at 000hrs, all vessel crossing the Traffic Separation Scheme(TSS) and precautionary areas in Singapore Strait are recommended to display the night signals consisting of 3 all-around green lights in a vertical line. So, this paper presents methods for design of SINGAPORE STRAIT TRANSITION NIGHT SIGNAL.

항공유도로등화용 LED 광원의 가속수명시험 (An Accelerated Life Test of LED Lights for Aviation Taxiway)

  • This paper presents an accelerated life test of aviation taxiway lights installed in the airport to help safe navigation of airplanes at night or in bad weather. Recently halogen lamps of taxiway lights are replaced by LED ones and their reliability needs yet to be verified. Thus, effective test conditions are designed reflecting the failure modes and mechanisms from the previous studies on LED, which include the accelerated degradation process. The test is performed under the temperature $70^{\circ}C$ and $90^{\circ}C$ for two types of LED lights, taxiway center line lights(TCLL) and taxiway edge lights (TEDL). The failure time data were analyzed using lognormal distribution and Arrhenius model to find the life-stress relationship, acceleration factor and life characteristics under the normal condition temperature $30^{\circ}C$.

시각적 주의 및 Spot-Lights 영역 검출 기반의 교통신호등 검출 방안 (Traffic Lights Detection Based on Visual Attention and Spot-Lights Regions Detection)

  • 근래에 고령운전자의 증가와 다양한 차량용 멀티미디어 기기의 등장으로 운전 중 운전자의 시각적 주의 결핍 및 분산되어 교통신호등 오인식으로 인해 교통사고가 증가하고 있는 상황이다. 이를 보완하기 위해 일반적인 교통신호등 검출연구들은 색상 임계치, 템플릿 매칭, 학습기 기반 등의 방안이 제시 되었으나 색상 임계치의 경우 시내 도로와 같이 복잡한 배경과 주위 환경변화에 강인하지 못하고, 야간 시간대의 경우 템플릿 및 학습기 기반의 검출방안의 경우 그 인식도가 떨어지는 문제점이 존재한다. 따라서 제안한 방안에서는 교통신호등의 구조적인 형태 정보(모양, 밝기, 대비, 색상 등)을 기반 한 시각적 주의 영역과 spot-lights 영역 검출을 통해 복잡한 시내 도로 환경에서 교통신호등을 검출하는 방안을 제안한다. 교통신호등은 운전자의 시인성을 높일 수 있는 위치에 설치되고 또한 구조적인 고유한 형태와 색상을 지니고 있는 특징들을 이용하여 교통신호등을 검출한다. 제안한 방안에서는 입력된 칼라영상에서 특징정보들 간의 다차원 가우시안 파라미드 영상들을 생성하고 각 영상들 간의 대비차이 계산하여 현저하게 두드러진 영역들을 검출하고, 밝기 영상에서 주위 영역과 현저하게 밝은 spot-lights 영역들을 검출한다. 그리고 검출된 두 영역들의 모양과 색상 분석을 통해 교통신호등을 검출한다. 제안한 방법을 다양한 시간대와 시내 도로에서 실험한 결과, 교통신호등 검출률은 83.2%이고 프레임 당 처리 시간은 0.68초이다. 이것을 통해 사후판독 기능이 차량 영상기록장치에 결합한 안전운전 지원시스템으로 제안한 방안이 유용하게 적용될 수 있음을 알 수 있다.

공동주택단지 외부공간 유형별 야간 빛 환경에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Night Lighting Environment by Outdoor Space Types of an Apartment Complex)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify current condition of night lighting plan for the outdoor space in an apartment complex and to examine how residents perceive that environment. For this purpose, considerations and standards for safe and agreeable night lighting environment were examined through literature study. And a field study to determine the current state of the night lighting environment was conducted, and finally a survey was executed to find out residents' satisfaction, requirements and consciousness on that lighting environment of apartment complex. Findings of this study can be summarized as follows. Firstly, most standards for night lighting environment focus on the urban environment as a whole, so they have very few clear standards exclusive for the outdoor space of the apartment complex. Secondly, most of outdoor spaces surveyed in this study have met the basic illumination standard, but some spaces had parts where lights were off or out of order forming dark zones, and in some parts lights were screened by trees causing shades, poor safety and a narrowed sight. Thirdly, residents had interest in the night lighting environment of the outdoor space, but they were not fully satisfied with that environment. Fourthly, residents were negative about such factors of the environment as safety, convenience, recognition and aesthetics. These factors should be reflected in planning and improving the night lighting. It is expected that this study provides basic information necessary to plan safer and more agreeable night lighting, and to satisfy the residents' need for liveable apartment complex.

철도차량 LED 실내등 적용 검토 (Consideration of LED Saloon light for rolling stock)

  • The saloon light is the device that can offer convenience and comfort to the driver and passenger when the train is operated at night or in the tunnel. Generally, The fluorescent type saloon for the rolling stock have been used, but the problems that are short life and the generation of heat have been brought about because the saloon lihgts of rolling stock are supposed to operated continuously long time, and high power consumption. So, the development of new type of saloon lights has been requested in order to solve these problems. And recently the various LED type lights have been developed and LED type saloon lights for rolling stock also has been developed. Therefore, we survey the characteristic, function and needed condition of the LED type saloon lights for rolling stock, and analyze the good and bad point, and then research the complement of weak point. We want to find the direction and develop the design of future LED saloon light type.
