Salix종의 생물공학적 이용성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Salix's Biotechnical Application)

  • To develop restoration technologies of natural environment, which is destroyed through the urbanization, industrialization, and the increase of leisure industry, the development of environmental restoration material and those application is greatly needed. Concerning this current issue, an experiment has been conducted to test and an experiment has been conducted to test and analyze the conditions of nutritonal propagation of willow cutting, which is known as a plant with rapid propagation and good growth capability under bad soil conditions and its wide ecological amplitude. 24 various kinds of willow cuttings -2~6 cuttings for each species -were placed into the earth for 57 days and measured the lengths and the diameters of willow cuttings, the possibility of root formation, the total number, and the total length of new shoots and roots. 23 among 24 willow cuttings tested were showing a great growing capacity and a number of new shoots and roots were observed in a relatively short time. This proved that salix is an adequate plant material for quick environmental restoraton . Besides, those willow cuttings could be classified for different site conditions through comparing the ratio of the underground part to the aboveground in total length. The results are as follows; S. dependens, S. matsudana, S. babylonica are the most suitable species for quick vegetaton and S. gracilistyla,S. myricoides,S. alba 'sercia' for erosioni control.

다목적이고 적극적인 빗물관리에 의한 기후변화 적응방안과 국내 사례 (Climate Change Adaptation Strategy by Multipurpose, Proactive Rainwater Management and Case Studies in Korea)

  • Most urban water management systems are becoming vulnerable to flooding and drought due to the climate change (CC), urbanization and energy shortage. Despite of poor water management circumstances caused by extremely uneven annual rainfall and hilly terrain, traditionally we have made a sound and sustainable life based on our own philosophy and technologies which copes with our rigid environment. In this study a new paradigm of rainwater management is suggested and multipurpose and creative rainwater harvesting and management (RWHM) systems are introduced providing several case studies such as rainfall storage drainage (RSD) system, rainwater infiltration facilities and star city RWHM system. This new RWHM paradigm leads Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) in the Republic of Korea to change regulations and politics for the integrated RWHM. Finally, RWHM is expected to improve the safety, efficiency, energy consumption of urban water infrastructure, to reduce urban heat island phenomenon and, furthermore, to contribute in finding solutions for worldwide water issues and to adapt CC.

Estimation of stormwater interception ratio for evaluating LID facilities performance in Korea

  • To minimize the impact of urbanization, accurate performance evaluation of Low Impact Development (LID) facilities is needed. In Korea, the method designed to evaluate large-scale non-point pollution reduction facilities is being applied to LID facilities. However, it has been pointed out that this method is not suitable for evaluating the performance of relatively small-scale installed LID facilities. In this study, a new design formula was proposed based on the ratio of LID facility area and contributing drainage area, for estimating the Stormwater Interception Ratio (SIR) for LID facilities. The SIR was estimated for bio-retentions, infiltration trenches and vegetative swales, which are typical LID facilities, under various conditions through long-term stormwater simulation using the LID module of EPA SWMM. Based on the results of these numerical experiments, the new SIR formula for each LID facility was derived. The sensitivity of the proposed SIR formula to local rainfall properties and design variables is analysed. In addition, the SIR formula was compared with the existing design formula, the Rainfall Interception Ratio (RIR).

스마트물관리기술 평가툴 개발 (Developing a performance index for efficient improving techniques and implement of Smart Water Management)

  • In the past decade, many countries developed varies promising theories, methodologies and technologies for water resources management, such as Smart Water in Korea, eWater in Australia, Intelligent Water in Untied States, and Internet of Water in China. It is no exaggeration to say that Smart Water Management(SWM) will have a major role to play in addressing the global water challenges in the background of climate change, population growth and rapid urbanization. As a result, we can see major shifts taking place in the structure of the water industry, with a need for new approaches, skills, and water management policies. All these point towards a brighter future for the smart water sector and a new water paradigm, with applications and potential throughout the water cycle. However, each countries have their technology and industry standard system which may swift similar innovation and technology into different channels. In that sense, developing a common performance index and standard docking adapter for assessing Smart Water Management Initiatives(SWMI) is crucial for drawing a linkage of SWMI and SWMs to a way to implement advanced technology across Asia and Pacific. The performance index and standard docking adapter will facilitate quantitative and qualitative effects of utilized SWM techniques.

A study of Analysis and Review of Cargo Urban Railway Stations of Korea for Underground Logistics Systems

  • Recently, as mega-urbanization progresses, urban logistics centered on large cities is growing rapidly, and logistics transportation is increasing due to the lack of logistics infrastructure and the operation of a delivery system using cargo trucks in the city center. being cited as a cause. In order to solve this problem, domestic researchers are conducting research on the development of " Urban Underground railway Logistics System" that minimizes the initial infrastructure construction cost by utilizing the existing urban railway facilities in the city. Therefore, this paper analyzed the usage environment of the actual urban railway station to which the system will be applied in order to derive candidates for the test bed selection of "Urban Underground railway Logistics System". The evaluation criteria for test bed candidate role selection were established, and the candidate group derived from the Brown & Gibson model was used to evaluate the candidate group and derive the candidate role. A review of the results was conducted to contribute to the establishment of a test bed for the " Urban Underground railway Logistics System" under development.

  • In the 1960s, planned cities were developed to solve urban issues aroused from rapid urbanization and industrialization. But as time goes by, planned cities are not playing their existed role. As the paradigm of the city has changed over the years from quantitative expansion to qualitative growth, it is resulted to focus more on urban regeneration rather than development. However, most urban regeneration took place mainly in the self-generated old cities. The purpose of this study is to reveal the validity of a project for urban regeneration in old planned city by examining its necessity and possibility. Focusing on the case of Ansan as representative planned city and Wolpi-dong as area of new deal project for urban regeneration, this study examines the historical background and analyzes the current state of Ansan to identify core strategies of project for urban regeneration.

Low Impact Urban Development For Climate Change and Natural Disaster Prevention

  • Increase of impervious areas due to expansion of housing area, commercial and business building of urban is resulting in property change of stormwater runoff. Also, rapid urbanization and heavy rain due to climate change lead to urban flood and debris flow damage. In 2010 and 2011, Seoul had experienced shocking flooding damages by heavy rain. All these have led to increased interest in applying LID and decentralized rainwater management as a means of urban hydrologic cycle restoration and Natural Disaster Prevention such as flooding and so on. Urban development is a cause of expansion of impervious area. It reduces infiltration of rain water and may increase runoff volume from storms. Low Impact Development (LID) methods is to mimic the predevelopment site hydrology by using site design techniques that store, infiltrate, evaporate, detain runoff, and reduction flooding. Use of these techniques helps to reduce off-site runoff and ensure adequate groundwater recharge. The contents of this paper include a hydrologic analysis on a site and an evaluation of flooding reduction effect of LID practice facilities planned on the site. The region of this Case study is LID Rainwater Management Demonstration District in A-new town and P-new town, Korea. LID Practice facilities were designed on the area of rainwater management demonstration district in new town. We performed analysis of reduction effect about flood discharge. SWMM5 has been developed as a model to analyze the hydrologic impacts of LID facilities. For this study, we used weather data for around 38 years from January 1973 to August 2014 collected from the new town City Observatory near the district. Using the weather data, we performed continuous simulation of urban runoff in order to analyze impacts on the Stream from the development of the district and the installation of LID facilities. This is a new approach to stormwater management system which is different from existing end-of-pipe type management system. We suggest that LID should be discussed as a efficient method of urban disasters and climate change control in future land use, sewer and stormwater management planning.

다양한 강우사상에 대응 가능한 침투여과형 기술개발 (Development Hybrid Filter System for Applicable on Various Rainfall)

  • 도시화로 인한 불투수층의 증가는 강우시 유출량 증가, 침투량 감소, 증발산량 감소 등을 유발시키고, 다량의 비점오염물질을 유출시킨다. 이러한 도시화에 의한 환경영향을 최소화하기 위하여 환경부는 2012년 이후 그린빗물인프라(Green Stormwater Infrastructure, GSI)기법을 정책적으로 도입하여 자연적 물순환을 구축하고 비점오염 유출저감을 저감하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 자연적 물순환 구축을 통한 비점오염저감을 위하여 다양한 강우사상에 적용 가능한 침투여과기술을 개발하고자 한다. 기술의 실제 적용성 평가에 앞서 연구실 규모의 기술평가를 실시하였으며, 8회의 유량변화를 통한 평가를 수행하였다. 연구실 실험결과, 시설의 침투수, 저류수 및 유출수의 오염물질별 평균 EMC의 저감효율은 모든 오염물질 항목에서 50~90%의 범위로 높게 나타났는데 이는 높은 침투유량(약 35%)과 저류량(39%)에 의한 유출저감에 의해 나타났다. 침투여과시설의 지속적 효율은 막힘현상의 최소화로 나타나는데 본 기술의 공극 막힘현상은 누적 TSS 양이 $8.3{\sim}9.0kg/m^2$의 범위에 도달할 때 발생하였으며, 이 값은 타 연구결과에 비해 큰 값으로 나타나 장기간 높은 효율을 유지할 수 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 초기침강지를 설치하지 않은 상태에서도 시설로부터 유출되는 시료내 평균 입경크기는 $10{\mu}m$로 나타났기에 침강지를 설치할 경우 입자제거에 효과적일 것으로 판단된다.

1990년대 대도시의 변화에 관한 시민 의식 연구(1) : 사회 부문별 비교 (Citizens' Consciousness on Urban Changes in Large Cities in the 1990s(1) : A Comparative Study on Urban Social Sectors)

  • 본 논문은 1990년대 우리나라 대도시의 변화(특히 도시의 경제, 정치, 사회문화 부문)에 관하여 서울, 대전, 대구, 광주 시민들의 의식을 조사하여 비교 분석한 것이다. 서구 대도시의 발달을 배경으로 제시된 각 부문별 이론들, 즉 포스트포드주의론, 도시거버넌스론, 포스트모더니즘론, 그리고 지속가능한 발전론 등에 기초하여 설문항목들을 도출하여 설문지를 작성하였다. 이 설문조사를 통해 밝혀진 내용들 가운데 주요한 점들은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전반적으로 대도시 시민들은 1990년대 도시 변화에서 경제 및 정치 분야보다는 공간구조 및 사회문화 분야의 변화를 더 강조하였다. 둘째, 도시경제분야에서, 시민들은 첨단기술산업의 중요성을 인정하지만, 기존의 지역불균등발전에 따른 발전 저해요인들(대표적으로 지역자본 및 기업본사의 부재 등)이 매우 큰 영향을 미치고 있다고 인지한다. 셋째, 시민들은 도시정치와 관련하여 여전히 중앙집권화된 정치 정당구조를 문제시했으며, 도시발전의 수준이 낮을수록 단체장의 기업가적 마인드의 중요성을 인정했다. 넷째, 시민들은 사회문화 분야에 큰 영향을 미친 요인들로서 정보통신 수단의 발달 자동차의 보급 증대, 신용카드의 사용증대 등의 3대 요인을 지적했으며, 또한 일반적 추정과는 달리 도시축제의 효과에 대해 크게 동의하지 않는 반면 자신들이 살고 있는 도시에 대해 상당한 자긍심을 가지는 것으로 조사되었다.

안동-임하 연결도수로 설치에 따른 가용 수자원량에 관한 연구 (Study on Potential Water Resources of Andong-Imha Dam by Diversion Tunnel)

  • 도시화 및 산업화에 따른 온실가스의 증가로 전 세계적인 이상기후 현상이 빈번하게 발생하고 있으며, 국내에서도 이러한 현상의 하나로 홍수와 가뭄의 영향이 지속적으로 심화되고 있다. 기후변화는 이수, 치수, 환경 등 다양한 측면에서 물 관리 전반에 걸쳐 복잡성을 가중시키고 불확실성을 확대시키는 등 많은 영향을 초래한다. 또한 과거와는 달리 하천유지수량, 환경용수량 등 다양한 용수수요의 증가에 따라 제한된 가용수자원의 추가적인 확보를 위한 분석과 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 안동댐과 임하댐 유역을 대상으로 기후변화 시나리오와 토양수분 저류구조 Tank 모형을 이용하여 장기 유출량을 산정하였고, 연결도수로를 통해 병렬 연결된 안동댐과 임하댐의 저수지 연결모의운영을 수행하여 임하댐에서 안동댐으로 전환되는 추가 가용 수자원량을 분석, 비교함으로서 미래 기후변화가 가용수자원 확보에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 평가하였다. 대표농도경로 기후변화 시나리오 중 RCP 6.0과 RCP 8.5를 이용하여 대상유역의 상세 수문자료를 생산하여 과거 유역의 관측 강수량 자료와 경향성을 분석한 결과 시나리오별 모두 5%~9%의 범위로 강수량이 증가하는 것으로 분석되었으며, 목적함수를 이용한 민감도 분석을 통해 가장 높은 적합도를 나타낸 개체군의 크기는 1000 이었으며 교차비율은 80% 이었다. 본 연구의 결과를 이용하여 미래 기후변화에 대응한 물 관리 측면에서 저수지 운영의 효과를 극대화하고 장기적으로 안정적이고 풍부한 용수공급 계획을 수립하는데 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
