This paper summarize about the auxiliary electrode measured a ground resistance. The method to measure a ground resistance is the fall-of-potential method to using an auxiliary electrode. And an auxiliary electrode must be set up on the ground. Today it is so difficult to set up the auxiliary electrode on the ground because of many concrete building and many paved roads. So this paper is regarding a trust analysis of the ground resistance measurement by the substitute auxiliary electrode. It substituted a iron structure around the building, a neutral line multiplex ground to earth, a wire net for auxiliary electrode. This information is confirmed bv compared with the measurement value.

In multi-ground distribution system, overhead ground wire and neutral wire are parallel connected to offer the electrical power energy and protect damage of lightning strokes. Therefore a case where the two wires become single wire, the power company can get the benefit such as installation cost saving and line fault protection by simplify of distribution line. In this paper we describe the result of impulse test in both system ; one is the present power system the other is unified power system parallel connected overhead ground wire and neutral wire. As a result of this impulse test, the present power system get lower impulse voltage than the unified power system.

In this paper, the effect of SFCL which was applied on neutral line of main transformer in distribution substation was analyzed in addition to the position of SFCL among some cases which are studied. The result about the limiting current was compared with the effect with SFCL applied on feeder. The limiting current characteristics are similar to the effect of SFCL on feeder. Therefore, this application of SFCL is required to protection coordination such as SFCL is applied on feeder.

Recently, it is common in a distribution system of Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) to find instances where distribution lines are parallel. A traditional method of an induced voltage calculation is not suitable for parallel distribution lines. For more actual analysis of induced voltage on telecommunication lines in parallel distribution lines, a new calculation method is needed. This paper presents a new calculation method of an induced voltage on telecommunication line using equivalent ${\pi}$ circuits matrix in parallel distribution lines. The advantages of the calculation method are using actual neutral current value and not using screening factor for considering the overhead ground wire and the neutral wire. To verify the effectiveness and the accuracy of the method, various case studies are performed with EMTP(Electro-Magnetic Transients Program).

This paper deals with assessment of risk component for electrical safety and investigation on the spot of computer room in elementary middle high school. The investigation was carried out side by side for floor, outlet, panel board, earth leakage circuit breaker at computer room In order to assess electrical safety at computer room, grounding simulator and power quality monitor have been used. Potential rise has been measured and analyzed for ground rod and grounding grid by using the simulator. Phase and neutral-line current have been monitored in real time. As a consequence, it is desirable for us to install conductive tile at floor of computer room Grounding grid had better than ground rod for electrical safety. Neutral-line current was produced by unbalanced phase current.

In order to avoid the electrical fire, AFCI(Arc Fault Cirruit Interrupter) has been obligated to be adopted in the United States of America since 2002. AFCI using line resistor of neutral trace needs to compensate the variation of the line resistance by temperature variation. In this paper, the ASIC including the temperature compensation circuit is implemented. The proposed implementation is verified by showing the effectiveness of an electric and a temperature characteristics for Arc signals by simulation results.

According to the development of power switching device technology, the power conversion system is used from the small electric power units to the large industrial instruments. These instruments are operated as harmonic sources in the grid and the harmonics cause zero sequence harmonics in the neutral line. To reduce zero sequence harmonics, the zigzag transformer is used conventionally. But the zigzag transformer can reduce only 60~70% of harmonics. In this paper, hybrid power filter for zero sequence harmonics reduction and the harmonic detection method are proposed.

The NBI (Neutral BGeam Injection) System for the Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research (KSTAR) is composed of ion sources, neutralizers, bending magnets, ion dumps, and calorimeter. The vacuum chamber, in which all of the beam line components are enclosed, is composed of differential pumping system for the effective transfer of the neutral beams. The needed pumping speeds of each of the divided vacuum chamber and the optimized gas flow rate ot the neutralizer were calculated with the help of the particle balance equations. The minimum gas flow rate to the ion sources for producing needed beam current (120kV, 65A, 78MW), the pressure distributions in the vacuum chamber for minimizing re-ionization loss, and the beam loss rate on the beam line components were used as the input in the calculation. Also the scenario for short pulse operation was determined by analysing the time dependent equations. It showed that beam extraction during less than 0.5 sec could be made only with TMP.

The diffusion mechanism of Si in GaAs was investigated using different diffusion sources based on the Si-Ga-As ternary phase equilibria. The Si profiles are measured with secondary ion mass spectrometry and differ significantly for sources taken from the different phase fields in the ternary phase diagram. Neutral As vacancy diffusion is proposed for acceptor Si diffusion anneals using a Ga - Si - GaAs source. Donor Si diffusion using As - rich sources and a Si -GaAs tie line source shows concentration dependent diffusion behavior. Concentration dependent diffusion coefficients of donor Si for As - rich source diffusion were found to be related to net ionized donor concentration and showed three regimes of different behavior: saturation regime, intermediate regime,and intrinsic regime. Ga vacancies are proposed to be responsible for donor Si diffusionin GaAs: $Si_Ga^+V_Ga^-$ (donor Si -acceptor Gavacancy) complex for the extrinsic regime and neutral $V_G$a, for the intrinsic regime.The Si - GaAs tie line source resulted in two branch profiles, intermediate between the As - rich and the Ga - rich source diffusion cases.

Three-phase system has many problems because of the unbalance load. So we propose two control algorithms using active power filter to dissolve these problems. One is three-leg inverter topology in which ac neutral line is connected directly to the midpoint of two series dc capacitors. The other is four-leg inverter topology in which ac neutral line is provided through a fourth leg. The three-phase unbalance is considered by connecting the load to one-phase. It is show that the proposed control algorithms give good performances.
