  • Open networking architecture is required to support new multimedia services as integrated functions of network management and service architecture. In this paper, we propose the methodology of building block modeling using object grouping concepts and the sharing scheme of different distributed processing environments based on open networking architecture. The building block has the functions of object management, security object instance registry and object mapping in object group. It is necessary for the connection management information to be shared on the interworking between two domains. We implemented and validated connection management functions using computational object modeling and building block modeling in different distributed processing environments.

  • Wireless communication offers the flexibility to the node movement at the spatial dimension more than the wire communication not only in IP architecture but also in Content-Centric Networking. Although it gives such advantage, the intra-domain movement of a node especially the data source node affects the communication to the access point node which in the end affects the acceptance ratio of the client node that requests the data packets from the data source node. In this paper, we use time-division access method to maintain the acceptance ratio of the client node as the effect of the intra-domain data source node movement in Content-Centric Networking. The simulation result shows that the acceptance ratio of the client node can be maintained using the time-division access method as long as the interval access time is less than the coherence time.

  • Named Data Networking (NDN) has emerged and become one of the most promising architectures for future Internet. However, like traditional IP-based networking paradigm, NDN may not evade some typical network threats such as malicious data aggregates (MDA), which may lead to bandwidth exhaustion, traffic congestion and router overload. This paper firstly analyzes the damage effect of MDA using realistic simulations in large-scale network topology, showing that it is not just theoretical, and then designs a fine-grained MDA mitigation mechanism (MDAM) based on the cooperation between routers via alert messages. Simulations results show that MDAM can significantly reduce the Pending Interest Table overload in involved routers, and bring in normal data-returning rate and data-retrieval delay.

  • The Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) has been used for a long time in campus and enterprise networks as the most popular network virtualization solution. Due to the benefits and advantages achieved by using VLAN, network operators and administrators have been using it for constructing their networks up until now and have even extended it to manage the networking in a cloud computing system. However, their configuration is a complex, tedious, time-consuming, and error-prone process. Since Software Defined Networking (SDN) features the centralized network management and network programmability, it is a promising solution for handling the aforementioned challenges in VLAN management. In this paper, we first introduce a new architecture for campus and enterprise networks by leveraging SDN and OpenFlow. Next, we have designed and implemented an application for easily managing and flexibly troubleshooting the VLANs in this architecture. This application supports both static VLAN and dynamic VLAN configurations. In addition, we discuss the hybrid-mode operation where the packet processing is involved by both the OpenFlow control plane and the traditional control plane. By deploying a real test-bed prototype, we illustrate how our system works and then evaluate the network latency in dynamic VLAN operation.

  • In this paper, a management model and a path trace algorithm are proposed for the end-to-end path tracing management in ATM network. Proposedmodel is based on the TINA(Telecommunication Information Networking Architecture) and computational object(CO) of ODP(Open Distributed Processing). We related computational object for the path trace to another computational object which covers the ATM routing and established operational procedure according to this relationship. This procedure identifies the end-to-end by way of tracing the ATM connections then collect identification information on the that path. End-to-end trace is performed on the network management level. Broadcasting-with-synchronized-control and GTM(Global Ticket Method) are proposed as path trace algorithm considering the real time properties and data ingetrity. Computer simulations are also performed to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm and its resuls are shown in this paper.

  • There are two standards currently compete for the dominance of IP telephony architecture. Those are H.323 protocol suit by International Telecommunication Union Sector T(ITU-T) and Session Initiation Protocol/Session Description Protocol(SIP/SDP) by International Engineering Task Force(IETF). This paper has been studied a adaption VoIP in home networking, Especially SIP-based call screening service in home gateway. And then this paper has designed SIP-based call screening service in home gateway working protocol, verified them.

  • This paper deals with the architecture of an information processing model for the human concept understanding required in constructing intelligent man-machine interfaces. The architecture employed is a parallel processing by networking. For this purpose, personal computers are interconnected by LAN and are, in their roles, divided into three levels. A concept has two aspects; i.e., language and image. In the present model, the system as the holistic whole of personal computers together with peripheral devices processes visual information in cognitive level, searching for feasible solutions from a variety of aspects. An image inputted through peripheral systems is categorized and matched with those ever experienced with the aid of that categorization, and thus an image is identified.

  • This paper describes a modeling of service composition manager based on TINA (Telecommunication Information Networking Architecture). The Service composition function is mainly motivated by the desire to easily generate new service using existing services from retailers or $3^{rd}$-party service providers. The TINA-C specification for the service composition does not include the detailed composition procedure and its object models. In this paper, we propose a model of components for the service composition, which adapts a static composition feature in a single provider domain. To validate the proposed modeling, we implemented prototype service composition function, which combines two multimedia services; a VOD service and a VCS service. As a result, we obtain the specification of the detailed composition architecture between a retailer domain and a $3^{rd}$-party service provider domain.
