  • The riles or intellectual property on computer systems have increasingly been exposed to such threats that they can be flowed out by internal users or outer attacks through the network. The File Outflow Monitoring System monitors file outflows at server by making the toe when users copy files on client computers into storage devices or print them, The monitoring system filters I/O Request packet by I/O Manager in kernel level if files are flowed out by copying, while it uses Win32 API hooking if printed. As a result, it has exactly made the log and monitored file outflows, which is proved through testing in Windows 2000 and XP.

  • The precise homeostatic regulation of local auxin accumulation in xylem precursors of cambium stem cell tissues is one of the most important mechanisms for plant vascular patterning and radial secondary growth. Walls are thin (WAT1), a novel intracellular auxin transporter, contributes directly to the auxin accumulation maxima in xylem precursors. According to recent research, the auxin signaling activated pathway-related gene network was significantly enriched during the secondary growth of Panax ginseng storage roots. These imply that during P. ginseng root secondary growth, specific signaling mechanisms for local auxin maxima in the vascular cambial cells are probably triggered. This study identified four WAT1-like genes, PgWAT1-1/-2 and PgWAT2-1/-2, in the P. ginseng genome. Their expression levels were greatly increased in nitratetreated storage roots stimulated for secondary root growth. PgWAT1-1 and PgWAT2-1 were similar to WAT1 from Arabidopsis and tomato plants in terms of their subcellular localization at a tonoplast and predicted transmembrane topology. We discovered that overexpression of PgWAT1-1 and PgWAT2-1 was sufficient to compensate for the secondary growth defects observed in slwat1-copi loss of function tomato mutants. This critical information from the PgWAT1-1 and PgWAT2-1 genes can potentially be used in future P. ginseng genetic engineering and breeding for increased crop yield.

  • Traditional off-the-shelf file server has several potential drawbacks to store data blocks. A first drawback is a lack of practical de-duplication consideration for storing data blocks, which leads to worse storage capacity waste. Second drawback is the requirement for high performance computer system for processing large data blocks. To address these problems, this paper proposes a clustering backup system that exploits file fingerprinting mechanism for block-level de-duplication. Our approach differs from the traditional file server systems in two ways. First, we avoid the data redundancy by multi-level file fingerprints technology which enables us to use storage capacity efficiently. Second, we applied a cluster technology to I/O subsystem, which effectively reduces data I/O time and network bandwidth usage. Experimental results show that the requirement for storage capacity and the I/O performance is noticeably improved.

  • Video proxy server which is located near clients can store the frequently requested video data in storage space in order to minimize initial latency and network traffic significantly. However, due to the limited storage space in video proxy server, an appropriate video selection method is needed to store the videos which are frequently requested by users. Thus, we present a time constraint multiple access technique to efficiently store the video in video proxy server. If the video is requested by user, it is temporarily stored during the predefined interval and then, delivered to the user. A video which is stored is deleted or moved into the storage space of video proxy server depending on the request condition. In addition, we propose a video deletion method in video proxy server for newly stored video data. The simulation results show that the proposed method performs better than other methods in terms of the block hit rate and the number of block deletion.

  • Recently, various recording technologies are studied for optical data storage. After standardization of BD (Blue-ray Disc) and HD-DVD (High-Definition Digital Versatile Disc), the industry is looking for a suitable technology for next generation optical data storage. Super-RENS (Super-resolution near field structure) technique, which is capable of compatibility with other systems, is one of next optical data storage. In this paper, we analyze the nonlinearity of Super-RENS read-out signal through the bicoherence test, which uses HOS (Higher-Order Statistics) and apply neural networks for nonlinear modeling. The model structure considered in this paper is the NARX (Nonlinear AutoRegressive eXogenous) model. The experiment results indicate that the read-out signals have nonlinear characteristics. In addition, it verified the possibility that neural networks can be utilized for nonlinear modeling of Super-RENS systems.

  • The design process of ecological and environmental detention system located in the housing district of Sinjeong 3-jigu in Seoul are as follows. At stage one, a new dispersal detention was created in the neighborhood park located near the originally planned detention. From this, the amount of storage of this dispersal detention system was enlarged from $28,337m^3/d$, the initial storage amount, to $33,606m^3/d$ as the post storage amount, responsible to the amount of rainfall which happens every 100 years. In particular, the SSB (Sustainable Structured wetland Biotop) system, which was the New Excellent Technology verified by the Ministry of Environment (No. 258) was applied to enhance ecological functioning and water quality with the detention as a constructed wetland. At stage two, the treatment plans for non-point pollutant source occurred at the initial period of rain, flowing into the detention system were built for purifying the water of the retention pond at the base of the detentions, and the water-circulation system was designed at the dispersal detentions on the period of regular rainfalls. The non-point pollutant source flowing into detention site was calculated as $11,699m^3/d$ flowing down from seven small watersheds, which occurred at the initial period of rain. In particular the SSB systems improved the average efficiency of the water processing performance to BOD 60%, SS 90%, T-N 30%, T-P 60%. At stage three, the ecological network and biological diversity were strongly considered so that it brought the residents with amenity places. In particular, the dispersal detentions were successfully designed to restore the ecological habitat of endangered plant and animal species such as narrow-mouthed.

  • In this paper, we introduce the development of the large storage system in order to record the observed space radio signal in the Korean VLBI Network(KVN) with high-speed. The KVN is the Very Long Baseline Interferometery(VLBI) to observe the birth of star, the structure of space by constructing radio telescope with diameter 21m at the Seoul, Ulsan, Jeju from 2001 to 2007 years. To do this, Korea Astronomy Observatory joined the international consortium for developing the high-speed large storage system(Mark 5), which is developed by MIT Haystack observatory. The Mark 5 system based on hard disk has to record up to 1 Gbps the observed space radio signal. The main features of Mark 5 system are as follows; First it is able to directly record the input data to the hard disk without PC1(Peripheral Component Interconnect) internal bus, and the second, it has two hard disk banks, which are able to hot-swap ATA/IDE type very cheap up to 1 Gbps recording and playback. The third is that it follows the international VLBI standard interface hardware(VSI-H). Therefore it can be connect directly the VSI-H type system at the input/output. Finally it also supports e- VLBI(Electronic-VLBI) through the standard Gigabits Ethernet connection.

  • In this paper, Service Boundary Line approximation method is proposed to improve the accuracy of aggregated link state information for source routing in transport networks that conduct hierarchical QoS routing. The proposed method is especially useful for aggregating links that have both delay and bandwidth as their QoS parameters. This method selects the main path weight in the network and transports the data to the external networks together with the aggregation information, reducing information distortion caused from the loss of some path weight during aggregation process. In this paper, the main path weight is defined as outlier. Service Boundary Line has 2k+5parameters. k is the number of outliers. The number of storage spaces of Service Boundary Line changes according to the number of outliers. Simulation results show that our approximation method requires a storage space that 1.5-2 times larger than those in other known techniques depending on outlier selection method, but its information accuracy of proposed method in the ratio between storage space and information accuracy is higher.

  • With the emergence of the Internet of Things (IoT) the world is projecting towards a scenario where every object in the world (including humans) acts as a sender and receiver of data and if we were to see that concept mature we would soon be talking of billions more users of the cloud networks. The cloud technology is a very apt alternative to permanent storage when it comes to bulk storage and reporting. It has however shown weaknesses concerning real-time data accessibility and processing. The bandwidth availability of the cloud networks is limited and combined with the highly centralized storage structure and geographical vastness of the network in terms of distance from the end user the cloud just does not seem like a friendly environment for real-time IOT data. This paper aims at highlighting the importance of Flavio Bonomi's idea of Fog Computing which has been glamorized and marketed by Cisco but has not yet been given a proper service architecture that would explain how it would be used in terms of various service models i-e IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, of the Cloud. The main contribution of the paper would be models for IaaS, PaaS and SaaS for Fog environments. The paper would conclude by highlighting the importance of the presented models and giving a consolidated overview of how they would work. It would also calculate the respective latencies for fog and cloud to prove that our models would work. We have used CloudSim and iFogSim to show the effectiveness of the paradigm shift from traditional cloud architecture to our Fog architecture.
