The relatively rapid rising trends of crime rates in marine situations leads to social concerns in Korea. This study reviews some theoretical backgrounds of the economics of crime and apply econometric models to Korean marine crimes. We find that there is a negative relationship between marine crime rates and unemployment rates and positive relationship between price level and marine crime in Korea. And also we find that unemployment elasticities are higher in the 1980s' and price elasticities are higher in th 90's in comparison with the results of the other periods. This findings are incompatible with the previous theoretical researches in advanced countries. This findings show that in rapidly growing economy, marine crime occurrence is proportional to marine economic activity frequency. This result may reflect that marine crimes are different from land crimes.

A traditional clerkship consists of a series of short rotations in specialty disciplines and is usually based in tertiary, urban teaching hospitals. Shortened inpatient stays and the shift toward ambulatory management have had a negative impact on student learning. There have been growing concerns that the traditional specialty-based clerkship in fragmented and highly specialized clinical environments may not be the optimal choice for basic clinical education. As a result, a new model of clinical clerkship called longitudinal integrated clerkships (LICs) has emerged. There is increased interest in LICs due to the growing evidence of positive outcomes for students, patients, and supervising clinicians. Emphasizing continuity as one of the main organizing principles of an LIC, this article reviews the introduction of LICs into medical education, the key concepts and educational theories which underpin LICs, and the typology of LICs. The author also offers some personal suggestions for contemplation before clerkship programs in Korea adopt LICs.

반도체 소자가 소형화 되면서 소자의 신뢰성을 유지하고 전력 소모를 줄이기 위해 기가-비트 DRAM의 동작 전압은 1.5V 이하로 줄어들 것으로 기대된다. 따라서 기가-비트 DRAM을 구현하기 위해 저전압 회로 설계 기술이 요구된다. 이 연구에서는 지금까지 발표된 저전압 DRAM 회로 설계 기술에 대한 조사결과를 기술하였고, 기가-비트 DRAM을 위해 4가지 종류의 저전압 회로 설계 기술을 새로이 제안하였다. 이 4가지 저전압 회로 설계 기술은 subthreshold 누설 전류를 줄이는 계층적 negative-voltage word-line 구동기, two-phase VBB(Back-Bias Voltage) 발생기, two-phase VPP(Boosted Voltage) 발생기와 밴드갭 기준전압 발생기에 대한 것인데, 이에 대한 테스트 칩의 측정 결과와 SPICE 시뮬레이션 결과를 제시하였다.

This paper reviews and analyzes the ethical issues of multinational corporations (MNCs) in Africa. First, we find that the transparency and institutions of a host country have a negative relationship with the number of ethical violations of the MNCs. Second, this covers the effects of industry characteristics on each category of ethical issues such as the human rights and the environment. Based on the database of "Ethical Consumer", we show that the Auto, Chemical, Finance, and Telecommunication industries are more likely to violate human rights issues, and that Mining, Oil, Cosmetics, and Chemical industries are more likely to pollute the environments. Further, the country of origin does matter: the US and Asian companies are more likely to be involved with the business ethics violations than are their European counterparts.

There have been a series of mixed reviews on the 'untact work' which was implemented for the safety of the organizational members from Covid-19. This study reports a follow-up study with a quantitative approach to issues identified by in-depth interviews with workers and managers who have experiences in work from home. To compare the views of workers and managers on untact work, 264 workers and 141 managers were surveyed. An analysis of agreement, congruency, and accuracy on the basis of the co-orientation model shows that workers are more positive about the untact work than managers and that managers are found to have a negative perception on untact work. This seems to be a burden on workers. More specifically, managers and workers show significant perception gaps on the issues of unfair evaluation and work-life balance. The results imply that organizations need to make efforts to minimize the perception gaps between workers and managers. This would bring about benefits from untact work.

Undeniably, endothelial cells (EC) contribute to the maintenance of the homeostasis of the organism through modulating cellular physiology, including signaling pathways, through the release of highly active molecules as well as the response to a myriad of extrinsic and intrinsic signaling factors. Review the data from the current literature on the EC role in norm and disease. Endothelium maintains a precise balance between the released molecules, where EC dysfunction arises when the endothelium actions shift toward vasoconstriction, the proinflammatory, prothrombic properties after the alteration of nitric oxide (NO) production and oxidative stress. The functions of the EC are regulated by the negative/positive feedback from the organism, through EC surface receptors, and the crosstalk between NO, adrenergic receptors, and oxidative stress. More than a hundred substances can interact with EC. The EC dysfunction is a hallmark in the emergence and progression of vascular-related pathologies. The paper concisely reviews recent advances in EC (patho) physiology. Grasping EC physiology is crucial to gauge their potential clinical utility and optimize the current therapies as well as to establish novel nanotherapeutic molecular targets include; endothelial receptors, cell adhesion molecules, integrins, signaling pathways, enzymes; peptidases.

Evaluating the performance of a binary diagnostic test, including artificial intelligence classification algorithms, involves measuring sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value. Particularly when comparing the performance of two diagnostic tests applied on the same set of patients, these metrics are crucial for identifying the more accurate test. However, comparing predictive values presents statistical challenges because their denominators depend on the test outcomes, unlike the comparison of sensitivities and specificities. This paper reviews existing methods for comparing predictive values and proposes using the permutation test. The permutation test is an intuitive, non-parametric method suitable for datasets with small sample sizes. We demonstrate each method using a dataset from MRI and combined modality of mammography and ultrasound in diagnosing breast cancer.

인터넷 기술과 소셜 미디어의 빠른 성장으로 인하여, 구조화되지 않은 문서 표현도 다양한 응용 프로그램에 사용할 수 있게 마이닝 기술이 발전되었다. 그 중 감성분석은 제품이나 서비스에 내재된 사용자의 감성을 탐지할 수 있는 분석방법이기 때문에 지난 몇 년 동안 많은 관심을 받아왔다. 감성분석에서는 주로 텍스트 데이터를 이용하여 사람들의 감성을 사전 정의된 긍정 및 부정의 범주를 할당하여 분석하며, 이때 사전 정의된 레이블을 이용하기 때문에 다양한 방향으로 연구가 진행되고 있다. 초기의 감성분석 연구에서는 쇼핑몰 상품의 리뷰 중심으로 진행되었지만, 최근에는 블로그, 뉴스기사, 날씨 예보, 영화 리뷰, SNS, 주식시장의 동향 등 다양한 분야에 적용되고 있다. 많은 선행연구들이 진행되어 왔으나 대부분 전통적인 단일 기계학습기법에 의존한 감성분류를 시도하였기에 분류 정확도 면에서 한계점이 있었다. 본 연구에서는 전통적인 기계학습기법 대신 대용량 데이터의 처리에 우수한 성능을 보이는 딥러닝 기법과 딥러닝 중 CNN과 LSTM의 조합모델을 이용하여 감성분석의 분류 정확도를 개선하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 대표적인 영화 리뷰 데이터셋인 IMDB의 리뷰 데이터 셋을 이용하여, 감성분석의 극성분석을 긍정 및 부정으로 범주를 분류하고, 딥러닝과 제안하는 조합모델을 활용하여 극성분석의 예측 정확도를 개선하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이 과정에서 여러 매개 변수가 존재하기 때문에 그 수치와 정밀도의 관계에 대해 고찰하여 최적의 조합을 찾아 정확도 등 감성분석의 성능 개선을 시도한다. 연구 결과, 딥러닝 기반의 분류 모형이 좋은 분류성과를 보였으며, 특히 본 연구에서 제안하는 CNN-LSTM 조합모델의 성과가 가장 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

온라인 소비자들의 구매의사결정에 전자적 구전의 효과는 상당하다 볼 수 있다. 실제로 많은 선행연구에서는 온라인 리뷰를 통한 제품정보의 획득이 구매의사결정에 큰 영향을 미치고 있음을 실증적으로 검토하기도 하였다. 온라인 구전 관련 선행연구에 대한 이론적인 검토를 통해 온라인 리뷰의 유용성의 결정요인과 스마트폰 이용자들의 모바일 앱 수용과정의 영향력 관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 모바일 앱에 대한 유용성을 평가하기 위한 특성들을 선행연구로부터 도출하였으며, 온라인 리뷰의 유용성과 성과에 대한 기대, 그리고 정보원 신뢰성이 리뷰 수용도에 미치는 영향력을 확인하기 위한 연구가설을 설정하였다. 연구가설 검증을 위해 모바일 앱을 구매(무료 또는 유료)한 경험이 있는 228명으로부터 자료를 수집, PLS(Partial Least Square) 기법을 이용하여 검증하였다. 분석결과 모바일 앱에 대한 사용자 리뷰의 신뢰성과 충분성, 도움정도 그리고 설득력이 리뷰 수용의도에 영향을 미치며, 정보원 신뢰성 역시 유의적인 영향을 미친다는 점을 확인하였다.

본 연구는 치과위생사의 직무만족에 대한 선행연구 결과를 체계적으로 수집, 분석하여 직무만족 측정도구와 관련요인에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis)의 체계적 문헌고찰 가이드라인에 의거하여 수행되었으며 최종 분석에 사용된 문헌은 44편이었다. 직무만족을 측정하기 위하여 사용된 측정도구는 모두 10개이다. 모두 국외에서 개발된 것이며 수정하여 사용되었다. 문헌 분석 결과 직무만족이 높을수록 이직의도, 직무스트레스에 음의 상관관계이며, 조직몰입, 전문직업성에서는 양의 상관관계가 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 직무만족과 다양한 변인 간의 상관관계 및 영향 요인에 국한되어 분석하였으며 향후 본 연구 결과를 기초로 하여 치과위생사의 직무만족 향상에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되길 기대한다.
