  • The stray current(leakage current) in DC railway system like as Metro Subway and LRT system happens electrical corrosion on theses superstructure facilities and also underground facilities that causes the public property losses. we must study and establish on the theoretical concept and concrete phenomena for electrical corrosion, In the construction period we intend to review and find out a lot of solution to minimize theses losses. we must investigate, measure and analysis natural atmosphere of these facilities locations to present a maintenance management guide for the upcoming operation stage.

  • A partial ordering is developed here among conditionally positive quadrant dependent (CPQD) bivariate random vectors. This permits us to measure the degree of CPQD-ness and to compare pairs of CPQD random vectors. Some properties and closure under certain statistical operations are derived.

  • We computed zero mean Gaussian of average error bounds pf Simpsons quadrature with convariances in [2]. In this paper, we compute zero mean Gaussian of average error bounds between Simpsons quadrature and composite Simpsons quadra-ture on four consecutive subintervals. The reason why we compute these on subintervals is because these results enable us to compute a posteriori error bounds on the whole interval in the later paper.

  • We show that if r $\leq$ 2, the average error of the Trapezoidal rule is proportional to $n^{-min{r+l, 3}}$ where n is the number of mesh points on the interval [D, 1]. As a result, we show that the Trapezoidal rule with equally spaced points is optimal in the average case setting when r $\leq$ 2.

  • In this paper we calculate three geometric constants, namely the von Neumann-Jordan constant, the James constant, and the Dunkl-Williams constant, for Morrey spaces and discrete Morrey spaces. These constants measure uniformly nonsquareness of the associated spaces. We obtain that the three constants are the same as those for $L^1$ and $L^{\infty}$ spaces.

  • In this study, the method to measure effectively the ground surface displacement of slope was proposed using the Laser Distance Measurer (LDM). Applying the proposed technique is more simple and easier than the complicated and high-priced instrument to measure the ground surface displacement. LDM is an instrument that the red laser aimed at the target and then the reflected laser used for calculating the distance. The advantages of LDM are easy operating method, high measurement precision and lower in price. To check the feasibility, the proposed method applied to the real site that the ground surface displacement of slope was occurred continuously. The ground surface displacements were occurred in various points of the natural and cut slopes located at the lower part of coal mine waste heap due to the load of waste heap. To measure directly the ground surface displacement in this site, 6 measurement sections and 26 measurement points were selected. As the result of the displacement measured by the proposed technique within a certain period time, the accumulative ground surface displacement could be measured as well as the velocity of displacement could be estimated. Also, the progress direction of ground surface displacement can be confirmed and predicted through the analysis of all measured result.

  • Use of recycled aggregates that are constituents of concrete or asphalt-based structures has become popular because the recycling is an eco-friendly way to overcome the depletion of natural aggregates. In order to adopt the recycled aggregates for backfilling a power transmission pipeline trench, their thermal resistivity should be low enough to prevent thermal runaway in the transmission system. In this study, a series of laboratory tests with QTM-500 and KD2 Pro was performed to measure the thermal resistivity of recycled aggregates prepared from various sources. Relationships between the thermal resistivity of recycled aggregates and the water content have been obtained with consideration of compaction effort. Similar to natural soils, the thermal resistivity of the recycled aggregates decreases with increasing the water content. In addition, this study compared the experimental data with conventional prediction models for the thermal resistivity in the literature, which suggests the availability of the recycled aggregates as backfill material substituting for natural aggregates when backfilling the power transmission pipeline trench.

  • This study was executed to measure the user\`s impact natural environment in National Park Campsite. Therefore, we choose Mt. Chiak National Park and the campsite in the district of Temple Ku-Ryong as a model of analysis, which is made by ecological approach, the number of the user has influence on the environment near the campsite. The result are as follows : 1. The more the number of users becomes, the more Na, Ca, Mg ion concentration and pH in the soil increase and the less K ion becomes. 2. Litter and humus depth, litter coverage, herb coverage, soil hardness, the surface of the ground layer and tree species numbers, density and coverage of lower layer shows a sensitive reaction to the number of the users. 3. The research shows that the tolerant trees against campsite impact are Lespedeza maximowiczii, Zanthoxylum schinifolium Staphylea bumalda, Smilax sieboldii, Quercus aliena, Euonymus oxyphyllus, Weigela subsessilis and Securinega suffruticosa, and the sensitive trees are Stephanandra incisa, Rubus trichocarpa, Rubus crataegifolius, Rhododendron mucronulatum, Styrax obassia, Acer palmatum, Lindera obtusiloba, Rhododendron suhlippenbachii, Rhus japonica and Callicarpa japonica. 4. The high density of the users made the simplication of a vegetation structure. So, as the number of the user increase the species showed severe heterogeniety between the heavy-use and nonuse site. 5. As considering the landscape management about campsite and surrounding area on the way of analysis of national landscape aspect and succession sere according to ecological aspect, it may be desirable that Pinus densiflora forest be conserved as Pinus densiflora landscape and mixed forest produce natural scenery with succession sere.

  • The purpose of this paper is that investigates the dynamic behavior characteristic of W.T.S(Wind turbine System) and carries out the evaluation analysis during operating W.T.S. To investigate the dynamic behavior characteristic of W.T.S, the experiments to measure vibration of the blade from the attached accelerometer on the flap and edge section of the blade that is one of the most important elements of dynamic characteristic of W.T.S are performed. Natural frequency and mode shape are calculated with commercial program (ANSYS) using the measured vibration acceleration that receives the signal with F.F.T Analyzer from the accelerometer. For validation of these experiments, the finite element analysis is performed with commercial F.E.M program (ANSYS) on the basis of the natural frequency and mode shape. The results indicate that experimental values have good agreements with the finite element analysis.

  • The present paper is concerned with the design of distributed sensors and actuators. Strain type sensors and actuators are considered with their intensity continuously distributed throughout a continuous structure. The sensors measure a weighted average of the strain tensor. As a starting point for their design we introduce the concept of collocated sensors and actuators as well as the so-called natural output. Then we utilize the principle of virtual work for an auxiliary quasi-static problem to assign a mechanical interpretation to the natural output of the sensors to be designed. Therefore, we take the virtual displacements in the principle of virtual work as that part of the displacement in the original problem, which characterizes the deviation from a desired one. We introduce different kinds of distributed sensors, each of them with a mechanical interpretation other than a weighted average of the strain tensor. Additionally, we assign a mechanical interpretation to the collocated actuators as well; for that purpose we use an extended body force analogy. The sensors and actuators are applied to solve the displacement tracking problem for continuous structures; i.e., the problem of enforcing a desired displacement field. We discuss feed forward and feed back control. In the case of feed back control we show that a PD controller can stabilize the continuous system. Finally, a numerical example is presented. A desired deflection of a clamped-clamped beam is tracked by means of feed forward control, feed back control and a combination of the two.
